Ukai stops short, turning wide eyes to you. “Was that meant for me?” he asks, pointing to himself. When you nod, he blushes. “Um, uh, thanks?”
Laughing, you grab his hand and tug him down the street. “Come on, you dork, let’s get a new year’s drink,” you say with a grin.
He stumbles, slightly surprised by your strength, but falls into pace with you. When you go to release his hand, his clenches yours more tightly. “That’s ok yeah?” he asks gruffly.
*Snicker* “Of course,” you reply.
“Oi, stop laughing at me!” he snaps but it just makes you laugh harder and he grumbles as you enter the bar.
