Shinkai is in love with his pet rabbit so would appreciate you liking fluffy animals. I think he’d really get along with someone who’s motherly and would probably tease you a bit. He’d also like watching you be protective and although he doesn’t like to admit it, it makes him feel secure and loved. Kiyoshi is a soft ball of fluff but when it comes to basketball he doesn’t know his limits, so I think your protective and motherly attitude would suit him a lot. I think he’d also love staying at home with you because he’s just more comfortable showing a lot of affection away from prying eyes.

Kenma is a complete homebody so he’d prefer staying at home and watching tv shows over going out. He’s also very reserved and holds back with his emotions so I think your personality would help him open up. The VA for Shinkai and Daichi is one of my absolute favorites (I have a thing for voices apparently) and I freaking love love love Daichi so that is a fun other option.
I’ve never been matched with Kenma before but I like your interpretation and totally agree with you reasoning. He’s so sweet and needs to be taken care of. Kuroo and I can be buddies too!

I’m surprised it’s hard to find because the anime is SO GOOD and they’ve been out fairly recently.
Anyway, to answer your question, oh my gosh that is a hard one! I love so many for so many reasons (which is the bane of most of sports animes honestly).
But I have to say my favorite is Makishima. I just adore him. He’s cool but awkward at the same time and his hair is amazing lol.
I especially love how he comes a bit more out of his shell to Onoda (another favorite, honestly their friendship makes my heart warm).
I forgot to mention, I haven’t finished the current season of New Generation because I want to wait until the new season is released next year. I get so spoiled being able to binge watch full seasons but I’m super excited that they’ll be continuing.
