Fluffy scenarios with Asahi, Bokuto, Nishinoya and Ukai cuddling with their s/o that’s scared of thunderstorms?

hq-cuties-pls:

Wow it’s been 84 years, but I return with this self-indulgent nonsense! Did I crib a lot of notes from Ouran? Yes. Did this really resonate with me because I am absolutely scared of thunder? You bet. Does it matter than thunderstorms in Japan aren’t really a Thing because of their climate? Not even a little bit. I hope you enjoy!
~Admin Emma (Your Local Goblin)

Asahi

What had started as low rumblings before bed turned into cacophonous thunder that woke Asahi up from a dead sleep. That was no easy feat, given how heavily he slept, but thunder woke him easily. Not that he was afraid of thunder–far from it, actually–but he knew you were. The last time a storm had rolled through, he’d come home to find you shivering in the back of the closet with a pillow jammed around your head. That night was no exception.

“Hey,” he said, running his hand over the curve of your waist. You tensed under his touch, shrinking further under the covers. He wrapped a thick arm around your waist, holding you close. “Hey, ssh, It’s ok.”

“Asahi…” you whimpered, flinching when there was another flash of lightning. The thunder followed a few seconds after, loud and terrifying. It practically shook the entire house.

“Hey, hey,” Asahi soothed, pulling you a little closer. You buried your face in his chest, and he’d almost be embarrassed by the gesture if you weren’t so clearly afraid. He started rocking you gently, murmuring softly under his breath. “It’s going to be ok.”

This was a ritual for you. It was hard to see you so afraid, but he had things that scared him, too. He had totally irrational anxieties that turned him into a shaking, shivering, self-hating mess. You were always there to help him with those; so he would be there to help you with the thunder. He knew nothing he did that was rational would help. So he just allowed his presence to be enough, when it could be enough.

He would always protect you.

Bokuto

While he was no big fan of thunderstorms, he was more afraid of the power going out than anything else. His ADHD made his ears ring if it was totally silent, so if the power went out, he didn’t have his fan, and therefore he couldn’t sleep. So when a rare storm rolled through, he was instantly on high alert. He made sure his battery-powered white noise machine was charged, the candles and lighter were within easy reach, and the emergency supplies were where you’d left them last. You had leftover rice in the cooker, so if he got hungry he didn’t need power…

The storm rolled in so quickly, it didn’t take long for the thunder to roll over his head with a deafening crack. Up until that point, you’d been reading in the living room, bundled in one of his sweatshirts. You’d been pretty absorbed in your book, but the thunder yanked you right out of it. You were as alarmed as a sighthound catching movement in the bushes, and when the thunder cracked again, your eyes went wide.

Bokuto knew he had to get to work; “Hey, ____, I was thinking… I want you to show me that game. That crazy shooting RPG… Mass Effect?”

“You… you want to play Mass Effect?” You jumped when thunder cracked again, louder than before. But it was easier to get your attention again.

“Yeah! It looks fun! And you and Kuroo have that inside joke about ‘best store on the Citadel’ or whatever, and I want in!”

“Right…” you gulped when you saw the lightning flash again, but he held your attention. “Right now?”

“Yeah!” Bokuto said, exuberant and bright.

He wasn’t great at comforting. He wasn’t soft or gentle, he didn’t know how to hold you until you stopped being afraid. He was a man of action–a fixer. He needed to fix it. And he couldn’t fix an irrational fear.

But he could distract you, and make you feel loved and happy. And that was all he needed, really.

Noya

He came home from practice soaked to his skin, the sudden storm catching him by surprise. The apartment was dark, and the low hum of the AC unit was shockingly absent. The only sound was the driving rain outside. The power was out. You were nowhere to be seen.

“____?” Noya called, peeking into rooms as he searched. “____? You home?”

A flash of lightning, followed by an immediate crack of thunder. And then, he heard you. Just the tiniest whimper… you were in the bedroom. He should have known. He dropped his wet clothes into the laundry basket, scrubbed a towel over his hair quickly, and fished his phone out of his backpack. Thankfully, it didn’t get too wet. He plugged in his good headphones–the noise cancelling ones–and cracked the closet door. There you were, curled pathetically in the corner like a beaten dog.

He hated it. He hated that you were so scared, that he couldn’t be there for you. All he wanted was to make it go away. He stole the blanket from your bed and touched your knee. You practically leapt through the ceiling, your eyes darting nervously around before settling on him.

“Y-yuu…” Your voice shook, and you yelped when there was another crack of thunder.

“I’m sorry I’m late,” he said softly, whipping the blanket around your shoulders. He put the headphones over your ears, blasting your favorite playlist, and gathered you close. “It’s ok. I’m here.”

He rubbed your shoulder soothingly, feeling pleased with himself when you started relaxing into his side. He did this for you every time there was a storm. He didn’t even get that itch under his skin when he sat still for too long. This was too important to him. You were too important to him, and he didn’t want you to be scared anymore. He’d do anything…

An hour later, the power came back on, and you were fast asleep.

Ukai

He didn’t care about thunderstorms one way or the other; they came so rarely in Miyagi that he never really had to think about them. Okinawa, though… that was a different story. Many of the locals had warned him that day about a storm brewing just off the coast. Considering the big, ominous-looking clouds on the horizon, he’d taken it seriously. He was glad you’d packed your earplugs for the trip.

Sadly, the thunder was so loud and rain hit the window so hard it was near deafening, the ear plugs didn’t help. You’d tried to go to bed early, but the tension from the potential storm had kept you up. And now, with the rain and wind going full force, you were awake and likely not going to sleep any time soon.

He sighed, scratching at his hair as he climbed into bed with you. He snuck a hand under your shirt, rubbing soothing circles into your bare back; “Hey, it’s ok.”

You nodded, relaxing into his touch, but stiffening when lightning flashed again. He counted the seconds between the flash and the crack of thunder, and the storm was practically on top of the hotel. If he stared through the gauzy curtains, he could see thin cracks of light striking the sea. It would have been cool if you weren’t in his arms, shaking like a leaf.

He did the only thing he could do… the thing that you always said you liked. He sang to you. It was an old song, a traditional song his grandmother sang to him when he was young. It always soothed him, and despite the fact he wasn’t the most gifted singer in the world, you always seemed to love his singing voice. The first few times it had been embarrassing, but after years together, all self-consciousness about the roughness from years of smoking and his tone deafness and the way his voice cracked on higher notes had vanished. All he wanted was to make you feel loved.

After a time–he honestly lost track–your shaking stopped. He peered down to check on you. You weren’t asleep, but you were staring up at him with such naked affection in your eyes, his face flamed.

“Thanks, Keishin,” you said, brushing your fingers along his jaw in a way that made him shiver. “You always know what to do.”

He grinned, pressing gentle kisses to the corner of your mouth; “Anything for my future wife.”

I’M MELTING!!!! I, too, do not like thunder. I think storms are cool but they scare the crap out of me so I can totally relate. These were so, so, so SWEET Emma! You always knock it out of the park!

Ukai Keishin X High School Sweetheart

Your phone chimed, or rather squawked, a joke you did because of the whole crow motif your boyfriend was a part of these days but somehow it stuck.

A quick flick of your thumb had the screen unlocking and your eyes bugging.

Did he… really… send you a shirtless selfie?

Kei Bae: Still got it

You snorted and rolled your eyes, typing back a quick reply.

RL: I swear your kids rub off more on you than the other way round

Kei Bae: And yet, you still love me

And how right he was.

Edited to remove art I did not find the source to until after it went up and found artist requested no reposts even with permission. I reblogged to boost them as an apology (and because the art is damn good).

Ukai – Breathing Optional?

ASK: YAY! Please some Ukai with “I think I forgot how to breathe.” THANK YOU

Ukai can recall a handful of things that have robbed him of oxygen. Now is definitely at the top of that list.

“Keishin? Did you hear me?”

He sucks in deep. “Sorry,” he almost gasps, gulping in another breath. “I think I forgot to breathe there for a moment.” His hand slides tentatively over skin, ear pressing to her stomach though he knows he won’t hear anything at this stage.

But still he whispers, “Hello baby, this is your papa.”

Hinata, “well this is awkward”

ukai ‘im too sober for this’

“Bite me” with Tendou please??

I’ve been in a Psycho Pass AU mood and these all felt like they worked well with the scene that popped in my head. Who knows? Maybe I’ll get enough of these drabbles together to form a linked story. This is in the same universe as my Daichi one.

The slap of water sounded all around as Tendou and Yachi raced down the darkened alley, their quarry a soaked blob somehow getting smaller despite the pace at which they were running.

“You go that way, I’ll cut him off on the other side,” Tendou shouted.

Yachi didn’t have time to consider how she hadn’t been in the field more than fifteen minutes and had already broken an important rule: don’t let your enforcer give orders.

They’re your subordinates, you call the shots.

She winced against the words spoken to her not even an hour ago. How was she supposed to explain this? She shook her head, picking up her pace in the direction Tendou had pointed her. Her heart thundered against her chest, trepidation and – she was loathe to admit – excitement pulsing through her veins. The rain stung her eyes, her lungs and legs burned and the suction of her rain soaked suit all worked against her forward progression but she pressed on. She could deal with the repercussions of this later. What mattered was stopping the suspect and getting him to reveal his base. Her grip tightened on the dominator in her hands; it would be just her luck to drop the thing and add to her negative tally marks.

Losing sight of the suspect, she pushed herself harder, rounding a corner in the direction she hoped he’d taken only to cannon into something, her body sprawling onto the water logged asphalt. A hiss escaped her as the uneven ground scraped her skin raw before she landed with a heavy thud. When she applied pressure to her hand to push up she let out a gasp of pain but it was the voice beneath her that drew her eyes open to meet wide brown ones.

“Gah! Are…are you ok, Yacchan?” Hinata cried out, arms flailing since he wasn’t sure he should touch her.

Well, this is awkward,” Tendou’s voice sounded from behind them. “And that,” he continued, pointing towards the tangled pair as more of their enclave made way to assist, “is why I wear trainers despite the suit.”

Hinata glared over Yachi’s shoulder. “Bite me, monster.”

She flinched at the sharp retort but the object of Hinata’s wrath merely pushed away from the wall and yanked her off him to her feet, a smirk on his face. “Now, now, inspector, you know we dogs aren’t even allowed to bark.” Though his words were directed to the still prone Hinata, his breath on her neck made Yachi shiver. She’d not been this close to an enforcer before and though she knew she shouldn’t be, she couldn’t help feeling nervous. He let her go as soon as her balance returned and she rotated to extend assistance to Hinata but Ukai-sensei was already dragging him to his feet.

I’m too sober for this,” he grumbled around the cigarette hanging loosely between his lips, struggling to light it against the fall of rain.

He stepped under the cover of Tsukishima’s umbrella long enough to catch the flame against the stick of tobacco. The bespectacled inspector sent his fellow blonde a look of distaste before turning his attention to Tendou. “Where’s the suspect?”

Tendou, hands thrust in his coat pockets, nodded down another alley. “Doing an impression of modern art…or a Rorschach test. Personally all that red reminds me of Valentine’s day, but then again, I’ve always had a fucked up way of looking at things.”

Tsukishima grimaced, gritting his teeth. “We needed him alive you idiot! How else are we going to find the victim now?”

A shrug. “It was that or let him get away, figured it would be better not to give him a chance to grab who knows how many more.”

“Damn dog,” Tsukishima huffed, turning on his heel. “Let’s go, leave the clean up crew to take care of that mess while we work on the now infinitely more difficult task of finding his hideout.”

They all fell in line after him, the inspectors taking refuge in their cars while the enforcers returned to the back of their truck. With a sigh, Yachi allowed her head to fall against the headrest, eyes looking out the rain streaked window. How were they going to do this with their last lead a smatter of blood and guts? The thought turned her stomach and she wondered if she’d be able to handle seeing such a sight should the day come where she had to pull the trigger.

“You ok, little bird?” Ukai’s voice made her start, water droplets flinging against his shirt when her head whipped towards the direction of his voice.

Despite her pale face and trembling body, the little inspector nodded. “Just…tired. I guess I need to spend more time on the treadmill,” she replied, rubbing the back of her head with an uneasy smile on her face.

Ukai hummed but made no further push to get her to speak. In the loosely named driver’s seat, Tsukishima eyed the recent addition to his unit and shook his head to no one in particular. How she had been tapped to become an inspector was beyond his comprehension but then his was not to wonder why; it was to do or die.

I’m actually really proud of this piece and I hope people enjoy it.

Headcanons on Ukai finding out his girlfriend turns into a fairy at night who helps restore life to abandoned forests and heals people in the hospital?

More thanks to @supern-a-vengers for the seeds on this one!

  • Ukai isn’t sure what wakes him up but when he finds his girlfriend
missing from his bed he isn’t concerned at first, she probably just went to the
bathroom or something. But as more time passes he grows concerned and goes to
    make sure she’s ok.
  • What he does not expect when he opens the door into the
hallway is to see her standing by an open window…glowing…with opaque wings
    sticking out of her back!
  • His voice is caught in his throat as she flutters those
sparkling appendages and leaps out of the window which he rushes to only to
find her soaring into the night sky.
  • He pinches himself hard, but when he realizes he’s not
dreaming he rushes to his bedroom to grab his shoes and jacket, though he’s not
sure if he’ll be able to see her by the time he gets outside. He’s also not
    sure why he’s following her.
  • Upon exit of his home, he sees a faint trail of what he would
have previously presumed was dust were it not glowing so brightly. Going for
broke, he rushes through the dark streets in pursuit.
  • When he reaches the edge of a forest, he gulps; it’s awfully
dark in there. But a momentary flash of light signals the direction to head and
    he charges forward.
  • As he comes upon a clearing, he sees she’s shrunk to the
size roughly of a humming bird, flitting from flower to flower, sprinkling
something over their petals. After a short glow, they seem to perk up. In fact,
the whole area seems brighter and more full of life.
  • She turns, a startled squeak escaping her lips and her eyes
are wide. How did she not notice him following her?
  • “Keishin,” she whispers, enlarging to her full human form,
though her wings are still present. “I…I…” she’s at a loss for words.
  • Swallowing his trepidation, mostly at the discovery that the
supernatural realm is a lot more real than he previously believed, he steps
fully into the center of the trees, arms open to her.
  • She rushes forward hugging him tightly and he keeps his
hands on her waist for fear of crushing her wings.
  • “I won’t ask the stupid question of why you didn’t tell me,”
he mumbles into her hair, “I just…wow, you’re so beautiful.” She pulls away to
look at him, tears hanging in her eyes. “I mean, I thought you were beautiful
before,” he flusters, cheeks red, “But this, you…you’re stunning.”
  • She sighs, leaning up to kiss him and he smiles against her
lips. “So this is why you took so long to stay the night with me,” he chides
softly, “you have a super secret, forest saving job.”
  • She giggles, tugging his hand towards the entrance of the
forest. “That’s not all I do,” she confesses. “I…I also heal minor illnesses
for people in the hospital. I can’t save the full fatal ones,” she goes on
sadly, “but I can help make sure those who have small diseases don’t get worse.”
  • He stares at her with wide eyes then pulls her into a more
fierce kiss. “I love you, I love your heart, I love everything about you,” he
admits and she blushes. He releases her, giving a confident smirk. “Get your
wings in gear, baby, I’ll be waiting for you at home when you’re done.”
  • She nods, kissing his cheek before soaring into the sky.

headcanons for ukai meeting and falling for a flirtatious and sassy merrmaid for the supernatural au?

  • The
trip to the beach was supposed to be relaxing but taking twelve rowdy boys to a
place filled with exposed skin was a decidedly bad idea.
  • Thankfully,
Ukai had the foresight to bring Sakeo along and she is more than willing to
    help keep them in line.
  • Before
long their addiction to volleyball outweighs the rush of their hormones and the
boys are happily playing skins versus shirts; now garnering the attention of
the females they were formerly oogling. The entire situation gives Ukai a
    headache.
  • He
goes for a stroll, finding the opening to a cave and the little boy in his soul
can’t help exploring it. Upon entry, however, his adult self is back in full
force when the sight of a decidedly beautiful woman comes into view.
  • She
greets him with a bright smile, waving him over to join her. Lost in a trance
of sorts, he complies, shucking his shirt and entering the pool she’s in,
    finding the water surprisingly warm.
  • It’s
when he gets closer that he notices…she has a tail; a mermaid tail. At which
point he faints dead away into the water.
  • He
awakens drenched upon his back on the sandy floor, his vision filled with her
face. When she sees he’s ok she giggles. “If you wanted a kiss, you could have
just asked,” she teases. It takes a minute for him to realize she saved his
    life.
    • “How…is
this…are you real?” he asks reaching up to touch her face.
    • “Of
course, I’m real! What kind of question is that?” she asks a bit miffed.
    • “Sorry!
It’s just…I’ve never seen your kind before,” he hastily apologizes.
  • She
pouts a bit, crossing her arms. “That’s because there’s not many of us left.”
Her voice is sadder now, eyes staring into the distance. But she snaps out of
it quickly, eyes landing on him once more. “So, tell me about yourself, you’re
the first human I’ve actually met!”
  • Ukai
sits up, leaning against the stone of the cave and talks. He tells her about
himself, his life, his team, his fears, his dreams, all of it. It’s like she’s
unlocked his ability to be honest with his feelings for the first time in
decades simply because he knows, there’s no one for her to tell these things to.
  • She
shares about herself as well, the vast distances she’s traveled and the beauty
in the depths of the sea not experienced by humans.
    • “Do
you want to go there?” she asks excitedly.
    • “How?
      I can’t breathe underwater.”
    • “Silly
goose,” she teases pushing against his chest, the touch warming him all the way
through, “don’t you think if I’m real, magic is real too?”
  • Ukai
agrees he never considered that. And so, from that day on he’d meet with her
once a week on the weekend, traveling far and wide within the sea.
  • Their
relationship blossoms into deep love, their shared experiences treasured by
    both.
    • “I
want to stay with you,” he confesses one day years later. He’s no longer a
coach, the last of “his boys” from the original team he started with long gone
to college and into their own adult lives. He’s stayed in touch but he knows, no
human woman will ever fill the void of his mermaid princess.
    • “Then
let’s go see the witch doctor,” she advises.
  • When
all the preliminaries are set, he asks if he can say goodbye to his family and
friends. She agrees, and so he goes, one by one to each of his boys, explaining
that he’s leaving for good. At first, they don’t understand, don’t believe him,
think he’s crazy. But he gets them all to agree to come to the shoreline on a
certain date at a certain time.
  • And
in the sight of his former team, Takeda and the girls included, Ukai undergoes
his transformation. Gone are his legs, replaced by a brilliant orange tail.
There’s many tears of goodbye, but most of them are happy since Ukai is so
overjoyed to finally be able to travel with his love for the rest of his life.
  • The
two, mermaid and man, wave goodbye to their shoreline friends, promising to
come back in a year’s time to see them.
  • And
none of them ever miss those meetings.

Congrats on 1500!!! That’s amazing! So of course I have to submit a Song Fic request! 🎼 Too many good guys to choose from but how about Ukai with Maroon 5’s “It Was Always You”? Seems like a good one for an older character! Thanks babe!! 😘

haikyuulovercompany:

Thank you, Jade!!! You’re simply amazing to everyone, and I really really hope you like this. It took me so long because I wanted to write something nice for you, and it is the first time someone requests Ukai so it was a bit of a challenge.
Stay gold, Jade!!

——

It Was Always You – Ukai Keishin

Being the coach of a team consisting of teenagers
always took Ukai to a nostalgic trip. As he watched them play he couldn’t help
to remember when he was the one in the court. He was taken back to the time
when he was young, and he had made more than one mistake.

He suspired with his hands resting on his hips as he
supervised yet another day of training. On that specific day he was absent, and
rather wistful.

Ukai always believed she would always be his best friend. Since high
school and eight years after they had graduated that hadn’t change one bit. But
life is ironic, life is full of unexpected occurrences.

He couldn’t really call it ‘unexpected’ when it was
ignorance what was at fault. He hadn’t known what he wanted until it was
snatched out from his hands. They had spent their whole life growing side by
side. They were so close that he had never thought of the idea of she being far
away.

Until she started postponing plans, being unavailable,
ending phone calls too soon, he realized something in their current
relationship was changing and he wasn’t exactly delighted by it.

Woke
up sweating from a dream

with a different kind of feeling.
All day long my heart was beating
searching for the meaning.

He had no right to be surprised or shocked. Learning that she was
starting to see someone was the natural course of life. She wanted more,
something new. He didn’t expect her to neglect one of the most basic needs a
human being could have, such as love. He simply never gave it a thought.

He had never been one to be head-over-heels for someone. He wasn’t the
romantic type of man, he was more of a lone wolf and he had found their
friendly relationship extremely comfortable. So damn comfortable that it never
occurred to him that maybe there was more between them. Why fix something that wasn’t broken?

Now there was something broken, and he didn’t know how to fix it. He stared
as he threw an arm around her shoulders pulling her closer to him. She shyly
smiled and shrunk herself in his arm. Her whole expression shouted the
need of that, of being loved and being treated with love. Their friendship was
beyond marvelous. He could list all the good moments they had shared, and he
would never end counting. But there was only so much a friendship could
provide. It wouldn’t be enough forever.

Eventually a man would see her as the woman she was. And how much he
wished right then that he could be that man. It was an infinitely childish
wish. He had wanted her until he saw her with someone else. Still, Ukai wished
he could turn things around. He hoped for the day when she called him to let
him know it was all over, that the strange man would no longer kiss her lips,
take her hand, or interfere in their lives.

Then, he would play his part. He would show her little by little what
was inside him. He would unveil what was hidden entirely unafraid and ready to
be the man she needed.

Sadly, all of that was only hopeless wishing.

All my
hidden desires finally came alive
No, I never told lies to you so

why
would I
start
tonight?

And as months passed, his heart broke a bit more each day. It was clear as
water that she wasn’t his. She was the woman of another man and he should
accept the reality he had put himself into. Decades of knowing each other, and
he never attempted anything. She would be furious with him.

‘Why now’? She would ask.

Ukai would shrug and shake his head. If only he knew. More than anyone,
he was the one who wished he could’ve realized sooner the truly magnificent
adoration he felt for her. His hands twitched with the urge for her skin every
time he had her in front of him. He was wretched, and in love with the girl he
could never leave, and neither could he have. Because, unrequited love or not, she was still his best
friend, his box of secrets and source of joy. He would never be able to be far
away from her, even if that meant to be hurt. It would be more painful to be
without her.

Hazel
eyes, I was so color blind
We were just wasting time

For
my whole life, we never crossed the line

Only friends in my mind, but now I realize

It was a random Friday night, one of those where he
reunited with some of his old friends to catch up on life. Nights like that
were slowly becoming a rare thing. The more they grew up, the more were the
responsibilities they had to assume.

Ukai was trying to avoid looking her way. His head was
already lighter than usual, and the least thing he wanted was to drop his façade. He
had done and spectacular job by keeping a poker face all those months, but it
could crumble down at any given moment if the right chance was presented to
him. He was going to give that one night to himself.

He had passed the night triumphantly without even
connecting his eyes with hers. He assumed she had gone early, and decided to
put up the ghost act where you simply leave the party without saying goodbye,
so no one really notices you’re gone after awhile.

He said his own goodbyes to his friends making an
unnecessary loud departure. The party inside was still louder than him, either
way. He pulled out a cigar, and lighted it up. The night was humid and hot and
he had no other option but to walk home. As he lifted his head ready to start
his late night journey, he found her standing alone across the street.

He called her name out of instinct. She turned around startled,
but her expression soon changed to an odd, unstable smile.

“You’re leaving already. I didn’t see you all night,” she said to him still
from across the street. She was hugging herself, and there was no cold breeze
to blame for that.

“Is everything okay?” he asked. She showed the odd
smile again and nodded.

“Yeah. Don’t worry about me, Keishin.”

In other circumstances Ukai might as well had believed
her and continued his way. However, he was mildly drunk and an unprecedented
bravery sprouted from him. He walked up to her, and stood way too close.

He knew how her traits looked when she was fine, when
she was happy. What he was seeing wasn’t similar to joy. He was looking at a
couple of sad eyes clouded with undefined emotions.

He raised his hand resting it on her cheek. She softly
gasped at the gesture.

“What’s the matter?”

Tears instantly filled her eyes and her lips trembled.
She shook her head. “Nothing I can tell you right now. I just needed a minute
outside.”

“Is it him?” he dared to ask. She shook her head
again.

“I-I… I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Please, go.”

“What did he do?” his voice was deeper that time
around. If the stranger man had dared to do even the slightest damage to her,
then Ukai couldn’t leave the place just yet.

“Nothing. He has done nothing…” her eyes exanimated
his face, and the third smile she threw at him was one he recognized well. The
smile of nostalgia he gave to his volleyball boys, to old pictures of them in
high school, it was that exact smile. “He just… he isn’t…” she closed her eyes
unable to continue provoking a couple of tears to roll from both her eyes.

He stared in shock, and the barrier he had created
crashed down. He had begged for a chance, hadn’t he?

He tilted down his head, and with the hand that was
already on her face, he pushed her closer to him pressing his lips on hers.
Ukai felt the surprise, followed by her lips pressing against his and her hands
unhurriedly embracing his neck.

“He isn’t you,” she whispered after the kiss was
finished.

Even if I
could not see it all this time

Now
I know why my heart wasn’t satisfied

No more guessing who
Looking back now I know it was always you

——

Thanks for the request! I REALLY hope you liked it!

Ahhhhhh!!! I loved the rememberances and that feeling of nostalgia when you’re watching a repeat of your young life before you.

It ended wonderfully and I felt your interpretation of the lyrics was great!

Thank you so much for writing this! Love coach!!

HCs on Aomine, Kagami, Kuroo, Daichi and Ukai having a Bonnie and Clyde kind of relationship with their s/o

Aomine

  • If you’re threatened, he shoots first and asks questions
    later.
  • Will absolutely put himself in the line of fire to protect
you. He knows you can handle yourself but it’s in his nature to protect you.
  • Overall, leaves the leg work to his and your cronies; he
just shows up for the big show downs.

Kagami

  • Will quite literally give you the shirt off his back.
Anything and everything you need, he’ll provide (legally or not).
  • But he appreciates that you have a partnership. He may be an
alpha but when it comes to his mate he prefers looking to his side, rather than
    behind him for you.
  • That doesn’t mean he won’t still try to talk you out of big
jobs or rumbles. He can’t help but want you safe even if you both chose this
    life.

Kuroo

  • The two of you started out as best friends really, you were
the only one who truly called him on his bullshit. Over time, he fell in love
with your snark and ability to lead.
  • Thinks you look hot AF with a gun in your hand. Add a
cigarette and he’ll damn near swoon.
  • Trusts you to take care of yourself, but won’t hold back his
opinion if he thinks you’re being too reckless.

Daichi

  • Even though he met you “in the life” he strives hard to keep
you out of it whenever possible. He doesn’t mean to be chauvinistic, it’s
just his way of showing he loves you.
  • But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t respect you. He knows you
can take down an armed thug without a weapon no problem.
  • If the need ever arose, he would drop everything (including
volleyball) to go on the run with you. He never wants to be without you by his
    side.

Ukai

  • Appreciates your no-nonsense attitude and the fact he
doesn’t have to watch over you 24/7.
  • Appreciates even more your ability to keep the gang of young
ones the two of you have taken under your wings in line. No one messes with
    “mama”.
  • Despite the above, he will hunt down without mercy anyone
who even threatens you and heaven help them if they manage to injure you at
    all.

“I’m so lucky to have met you.”

Ukai wasn’t quite sure what came
over him. Maybe it was the beautiful panoramic view of Miyagi from the top of
the cliff, windows shining with warm house lights, and stars sprinkled in the
night sky. Maybe it’d just been a long day and holding your hand and watching
the scenery with you did him in. Or maybe, over the years there were just so
many things he wasn’t able to say to you and these were the only words he could
muster at this moment.

Either way, you whipped your head
to look at him, the words clearly the last thing you expected to come from his
mouth. You knew he wasn’t one to express his emotions in words. He was more an
“actions speak louder than words” kind of guy. And while you didn’t mind it so
much, the words he just said brought a pink flush to your face. Your hand
tightened on his.

You swallowed, quickly thinking
of a smart reply. “And what brought this on?” you said softly, holding down
your hair with your free hand as a gust of wind passed. It was far from the
best reply you could give—but damn,
those words were like frigging dynamites.

Ukai scratched the back of his neck.
“Not really sure, either.” His face was pensive as he looked at the skyline.
“Probably because I don’t really say it often. And you deserve to know how much
you mean to me, Y/N.” Ukai looked squarely at you, eyes piercing, twinkling
under the light of the stars.

And you couldn’t really say
anything after that. It wasn’t everyday that he was so honest with his feelings
with you, after all, and you didn’t want to ruin the moment. You gripped his
hand tightly and moved in to hug him, your other hand clutching hard at his
jersey.

Ukai laced your fingers together
and caressed the back of your head with the other, a fond smile on his face.
With two years of a relationship under your belt, he knew that you were just
too overwhelmed to form any words right now. Ukai bent his head and kissed your
crown.

“I—,” you said, the words
slightly muffled against his shirt. You raised your head and sniffed, eyes
glassy. “I love you, too,” you barely choked out, and then followed it with, “Oh
my god, Keishin, you are the best thing to ever happen to me and I’m so lucky
to have you and thank you for always being with me—,” you broke off with a sob.

“Hey, hey,” Ukai said, gently
cupping your face with both hands and pressing a soft peck to your lips. “I could
say the same to you, kiddo.” He waited until your breathing calmed and you were
able to look him in the eye. “I love you, Y/N. With all my heart.”

And you could swear your whole world
just grew bigger. The stars shined brighter. The wind gentled to a caress. You
knew this was going to be a night you remembered for the rest of your life as
your tears returned and you embraced Ukai tightly with a smile on your face.

Thank you precious May! I needed this (as my latest post attests) and appreciate it so, so much!
