Admin Emma’s Fic Commissions

hq-cuties-pls:

Hey everyone! Sorry it’s been a little radio silent around here. I just finished a big writing project I was sort of hyper-fixated on, and then my laptop up and died on me, so it’s been difficult, but anyway!

Do you have an idea that’s too complicated for a request? Do you want something from a different fandom other than Haikyuu? Do you want a character/character piece? Do you just want to support this mom and writer? Consider getting a commission from me!

This by no means means I’m stopping requests. Far from it! It’s why I’m only taking a few commissions at a time.

FANDOMS:

  • Haikyuu
  • Idolish7
  • Boku no Hero Academia
  • Free!
  • Food Wars/Shokugeki no Soma
  • Others, feel free to ask

PRICING:

  • $5.00 per 500 words for SFW
  • $7.00 per 500 words for NSFW
  • Maximum of 2500 words
  • Word counts are approximate–I’ll get as close as possible to the requested count, but I won’t cut words or add fluff words to get it exact.

I WILL WRITE:

  • Character/character
  • Reader insert
  • Poly
  • Most ships and characters
  • M/M, F/F, M/F, and Gender Neutral
  • NSFW
  • Most kinks
  • Crossovers and AUs (ask me)

I WILL NOT WRITE:

  • Any NSFW involving minors
  • Any romantic relationship between a minor and an an adult, NSFW or otherwise
  • Incest/pseudo-incest, noncon/dubcon, certain kinks

GENERAL RULES:

  • You MUST be 18+ for any NSFW commission. I will require proof of age.
  • I reserve the right to refuse requests if they make me uncomfortable.
  • I will post the completed commission on Ao3 and/or tumblr, unless you specify otherwise (which you are free to do!)
  • I am a person, not a fic machine. I’ll do my best to complete your commission in a timely manner, but sh*t (read: writer’s block) happens! I’ll keep you up to date if that is the case.
  • If you’re not sure if I’m comfortable writing something, just message me!
  • I will send you an invoice via paypal upon completion of your commission.

If you are interested in commissioning me, please email me at britney.rezendes@gmail.com with the details! I’m opening three slots to start out, so I’ll update this with the availability!

  • Slot 1: Open
  • Slot 2: Open
  • Slot 3: Open

If you like my work and want to support me but can’t commission me, please consider reblogging this! Every signal boost helps. I also have a ko-fi account! Thank you so much for all the support! I love you guys so much, and I really wouldn’t be here without you!!

 (ノ´ヮ`)ノ*: ・゚

So I’ve basically decided to eliminate the slots system entirely and just leave my commissions open indefinitely. I thank everyone who has commissioned me for their patronage and I hope to continue to do business with you in the future!

Boost baby! Emma is a damn good writer and you will not be disappointed being her patron.

If you’re a creator and you needed to hear this today:

mypoorfaves:

You have no idea how many people lurk on your work. No idea how many times people go back to revisit your work. How big they smile when they simply think about your work. How fast their heart beats, how excited they get when they see that you posted something.

People are shy with their feedback. Sometimes it’s because they’re simply shy. Other times it’s because they assume you already know how great and talented you are. Could be both.

My point is, even if you barely have any likes or reblogs, don’t get discouraged. You have a lot of silent fans, but they are still your fans. Keep on creating. Because there is always someone out there who will love what you have made.

Super needed this today.

There’s a petition out to get rid of the Best Stuff First option on Tumblr in order to defend the artists out there who have dropped in notes/exposure.

Guys.

Sign it.

Guys, please sign this petition to remove Best Stuff First. This “feature” is adding to what already feels like a losing battle for us as content creators to get feedback. Trust me, we don’t want to have to reblog our own stuff over and over again just so you can see it! We want chronological posting back or at least have this be an opt in feature instead of a default you have to opt out of.

Thanks all!

A Rant

imaginetho:

I’d just like to take this moment and say first of all, I truly do love writing and will continue to write no matter what nor who.

I’d also like to say this is not directed for the few people who took the time to let me know they like what I write, no, you’re an angel and we’re thrilled that you’re here.

This is for the other majority who do not.

Now,

As much as I love writing, I also truly love shown appreciation and validation from the people who read my work as well.

Just as I took the time to write wether a 500 word, a 1000 word or an even less request for you, it wouldn’t hurt if you took the time to let me know how you feel about my work. It’s really not that hard to drop a nice comment and let me know what you thought of it, wether you really liked it or didn’t and have some nice suggestions for next time to make it even better.

I know that you don’t have to, but why not make someone’s day when you can?

All you gotta do is say something nice to show me that I did a good job. Literally, that’s just enough to make my day. It’s as simple as that.

Not only will it make my day but more importantly it will help me feel more inspired and thrive to become even better.

I’ll take in your request gladly and write it the best I can either way and I’ll also have a lot of fun writing it, but I’ll also wonder later on what are your thoughts on it after I have posted it.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that as much as I love doing this I’d love it even more if you actually showed me that you love it too. After all, we’re all just people who want to see our hard work not go to waste but to be noticed.

I’m also 99.99% sure that I’m not the only writer who feels that way which is why I thought it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to actually say all of this and get it out of my chest.

Lastly, I really hope no one misunderstands this and think of it as rude or anything because that was not my intention whatsoever.

Dee, I totally agree with you. Writing is fun but hearing what people think makes it more worth it, that’s just how it is.

So readers, please let us know how your feel about our work. The quality improves when we know either that you love it or what we can do to improve it.

I often second guess putting in significant effort when feedback is low because it can start to feel pointless, but I keep trying regardless because that’s how I am. I’m sure my fellow writers are the same way.

Thanks for speaking up Dee, you aren’t alone in your feelings.

Congrats on your 400! More followers come your way~ because you deserve it, your writing give me life💕 how about doing Roleplaying for celebration?

Thank you dear! I’ve actually never done roleplaying so I’m pretty sure I’d be bad at it, lol. As much as I want to celebrate, I have some scenarios just itching to be written, but I’m going to try to think of something really fun for when/if I hit 500. 400 snuck up on me! LOL

Hello! Thank you so much for answering my questions about Kags :) ❤️ I love them! ❤️ I’m excited to ask some more next time :)) thanks again!❤️

You’re welcome! I’m so glad you liked them, I always get a bit nervous when I do head canons because on the one hand they’re supposed to be made up but on the other I want them to feel true to the character, you know? So thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed them! I look forward to your next request(s) as well!

Can I just say that I agree with the fanfic comment anon? Comments, likes, recommending the work to others makes a world of a difference but having said that it’s also important to realize these authors are busy as well and do the writing for fun because they enjoy doing what they’re contributing and aren’t obligated to put out a new chapter daily/weekly. People often take writers and artists for granted. We provide content cause we love to do so, not cause we’re obligated to do so.

volleygifs:

I 100% agree with you! Like I said before, if something you’re creating is getting 0 feedback it’s going to be hard to want to continue with it. Writers need feedback in order to feel motivated. And like you said, they are in no way obligated to put out one chapter a week and I see so many rude people asking fic writers for new chapters or telling them to hurry up. Just… N O.

Fic writers/fan artists don’t get paid, so pay them in feedback. We are consuming their works, give them something back. It’s the least we can do.

Well said darlings!

PSA: Feedback Feeds Muses

bleachfanficfanatic:

This most definitely does not apply to everyone and to those
who already do this, I and other artists, writers, creators, thank you.

And even though I’m nervous, I feel like this is something
that must be said so if this comes across as whining or preaching forgive me.
PLEASE tell your fave blogger/authors/artists when you like, love, or even if
you dislike something they’ve created.

Most of, if not all of us, pour HOURS into thinking, creating,
mulling, tweaking, perfecting, stressing, agonizing and crafting whatever
content we put out. We are fulfilling requests with our free time to try to
make something to be enjoyed by the masses or by a person who requested it only
to have little to no one comment, compliment or seem to take notice.

Think of it this way: imagine you’re a singer, a comedian,
an actor (or what have you) on stage and you’re giving a performance. You’ve
poured your blood, sweat and tears into what you’re doing. At the end of your
song, joke, whatever the audience before you is completely silent, or maybe one
or two people clap, maybe cheer quietly. Sure, maybe they are smiling but you
can’t see that because of the lights in your eyes, the distance between you and
them. Maybe in their head they’re thinking, “That was great” or “I really loved
this part” or “That really moved me” but if they don’t act upon those thoughts
and emotions the artist will never know.

That’s what it feels like to us as authors/artists who post
something to over hundreds (some thousands) of followers and get minimal response.

It takes literally seconds for a reader to hit the like
button, re-blog, leave a quick note or even send a DM or an Ask that is thanking the artist/writer for their work that took hours for them to complete.

Art for art’s sake is fine, and by and large the majority of
us who create content do it because we love it, but everyone needs
reassurance that the people are there and are paying attention. I’m not saying everyone has to like everything, that’s not realistic, but the numbers just aren’t adding up and we, the creators, are starting to feel it.

Imagine an author/artist strike; no more new content to
enjoy because the ones creating it got so tired of pouring so much of
themselves into something it seems like no one is paying attention to anyway. Because people are not bothering to thank them for things they requested.

We don’t want/need false praise (at least I don’t) but we
need something. Even if you don’t
like something tell us (respectfully) so that we can grow and hone our craft.

None of us like begging for reviews, kudos, etc. so please
don’t think that is all this is.

This is, like so many posts of the same
variety, the honest, heartfelt feelings of a writer who, for herself and all
the others like her, hopes readers will understand a bit better why we don’t
just want your feedback, we need it.
And we shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for that.

This is something I shared on my Bleach blog. Creators need to hear from their audience. Even if all you do is hit the heart button, that fuels us.
