Yet another yawn left your boyfriend’s lips as the two of you tried to have a study session in math.
“That’s 13,” You chuckled.
“The answer’s 13?! Was I really that far o-ooooff?” Tanaka yawned… again.
“14.”
“Huh, 14? O-oh! You meant me– Sorry ____-chan. The first years are making me wake up too damn early,” Tanaka said while wiping the sleep from his eyes. He honestly looked like he could fall over any second.
You sighed, but did so with a smile. Honestly, you were used to Tanaka not being an active part in your shared study sessions. Even though you wished he’d be a bit more serious when it came to studying, you’ve learn to accept that this was just a flaw of his.
“The first years are waking you up? Did you already give them your number?”
“O-Oh, no! It’s just…” Tanaka trailed off, scratching his cheek in embarrassment.

You really had meant to just watch a movie. Honestly.
You’d both had hard practices the day before, so instead of the date you had planned you decided to go back to your apartment and put a movie on. Now, though, you were sitting astride Tanaka’s lap, movie playing completely forgotten on the TV behind you.
“Can I?” you asked, fingers curling under the hem of his shirt. Tanaka tried to speak but his voice stuck in his throat, so he just nodded helplessly and raised his arms as you stripped him. He stared at you, taking in the way your mouth fell open slightly, the feeling of your fingers against his skin.
“God, Ryuu, you’re so gorgeous,” you said, and an undignified whine escaped his throat as you pressed your hands against his chest, your body shifting against his. His mouth fell open, fingers gripping tightly at your hips, just above the waist of your jeans. It was–oh gods, it was too much.
Your fingers slid down his chest and then went to the hem of your own shirt. Tanaka swallowed thickly as you pulled it off in one fluid movement, tossing it onto the floor to join his. His mouth fell open as he took in what had to be the most perfect pair of tits ever to exist, offset by a simple but sexy as hell bra–black and strappy and ever so slightly sheer in strategic places.
He was snapped out of his blatant staring by a soft touch on his arm. Your fingers traced a feather-light path along his skin as you leaned in to kiss him. Your hand grabbed his and pulled it up, leading his fingers towards the clasp of your bra. Tanaka took a moment to be thankful for Noya and that bra he’d somehow managed to procure so they could practice this, because he was able to pinch the clasp free in seconds.
He was almost sad to see the bra go–almost. It was sexy, but nothing compared to the sight that he was presented with once it was tossed aside. He was pretty sure his brain short-circuited for a minute once it registered the tiny metal barbells through each nipple.
“Holy fuck,” he said, and you laughed softly. “Can–can I?”
“I want you,” he said in a low voice, “so badly. If you
want me to stop, at any point, I will, but… I want to make love to you,
Yui. May I?”
She was so overcome by the wave of both desire and fondness for the
adorable, gorgeous man in front of her that she completely failed to
voice her answer, because Ushijima started to look increasingly worried.
She nodded frantically to get her message across before her mouth could
remember how to form words.
“Yes,” she finally managed, her voice a little breathy. “I want this too. I want you, Wakatoshi.”
I’m not sure if you mean their s/o does swimming competitively, but that’s kind of what I went with.
Lev: – Lev cannot swim and when he found out you were a swimmer he asks you to teach him. – Trying to teach him led to a very exhausting but hilarious afternoon. – He’s a sinker, literally cannot stay afloat if his life depended on it, even though he managed to coordinate his movement he still managed to keep sinking. – You tried not to laugh, but his long limbs flailing everywhere was quite a sight – He’ll always make an effort to go to your swim meets, the only times he’ll ever miss it is if he has a game or if it’s during practice – One time your swim meet was during regular volleyball practice hours, he bailed on practice to go to your meet and cheer you on (Yaku almost murdered Lev, and Kuroo tripled his training as punishment) – Loudest spectator in the stand, and he’s even managed to rope Akane to coming to a huge meet and help cheer for you
Ushijima: – Does not and cannot swim, never learned to and never took an interest in it – However, he will make every effort to learn about it and be supportive – If you give him books and other info he would read it all and listen intently when you explain things to him – He’ll help you train the best he can, he’ll take you running with him to build endurance, and if you request any specific exercise drills you want him to help you with he will do it – If you want him to attend your swim meets, you will need to be blunt with him and tell him straight up that you want him there – He’s super supportive of you but he would never miss his own practice to go to a swim meet – Dont expect any loud cheering from this precious boy, he’s your silent and firm support, if you look up to him in the spectator stand during a meet the most you will get from him is a firm curt nod. – The biggest surprise you got was when you looked up to him during a meet and along with his usual supportive nod, he also gave you a peace sign, you couldn’t help but laugh knowing that Tendou probably taught him that.
Hinata: – Sunshine boy will be the loudest most energetic spectator on the stand, it’s like having your own personal cheer squad compacted into one small person – He was super excited when he learned that you were a swimmer and when the two of you have free time, he’ll take you to the local pool and ask you to race him. He is a surprisingly good swimmer. – Totally blew a fuse and turned into a stuttering mess the first time he saw you in your bathing suit – Understands nothing about swimming though, butterfly? breast? free? what are you saying??? He’s trying so hard to understand the words coming out of your mouth, but his head is spinning – Will never shut up about you and how awesome you are to everyone and anyone that will listen or not listen. He exaggerates sometimes a lot, was once heard boasting that you could swim faster than a shark – Like Lev asking Akane, Hinata will often ask Saeko and her taiko team to come cheer for you. – Without a doubt, seeing that bright orange bouncing ball of sunshine in the stand will ease away any nervousness or tension you were feeling.
it’s been a good while since i wrote tendou, so i’m probably a bit rusty but i miss this kid and can’t wait to get to s3 in my like 4th? 5th? rewatch of the series i’m doing right now lmao. (i feel like i always do tendou and semi banter more than any other shiratorizawa interactions. sorry, i’m just into tensemi in all capacities)

“Hm, ____-san, what do you think is the best thing on the menu?”
You’re taken aback by Tendou’s question and blink in response. It doesn’t take much longer for a small smile to make it’s way to your lips and for you to start explaining how you like a certain parfait the best. In reality, Tendou already knows exactly what he’s going to order. The question is only an excuse to hear you talk, see your pretty smile, and give his friends a chance to see how cute you are (but not enough time for them to fall for your charms too).
“It’s sweet, but not too sweet that it’s overbearing,” you conclude. “Just the right amount.”
Didn’t really think too too hard on these, I went with the first language that came to mind when I thought about the character, hope it’s what you were looking for!
Daichi: Mandarin – Daichi’s reason is mostly practical, he knows that Mandarin is the most widely spoken language in the world, and he feels knowing it would give him an advantage in his future.
Suga: French – I totally headcanon Suga’s mom as French. Suga never really picked up the language or wanted to learn as a kid, it wasn’t until he was in high school that he took an interest in learning French. He is also completely aware that being fluent in French, paired with his looks and charming personality, will make him even more irresistible. Boy absolutely knows that he can charm the pants off anyone he sets his eyes on.
Asahi: Spanish – He heard a group of Spanish tourists talking one time and was completely captivated by how beautiful the language was. Not completely committed to taking classes or anything, but likes to use apps and learn some phrases now and then.
Nishinoya: Korean – I feel like he’s totally into K-pop and as a result he started to dive deeper and deeper into Korean culture.
Tanaka: Korean – Nishinoya had roped Tanaka into the k-pop craze with him, and the next thing he knew, his sister got into it as well. They started watching Korean variety shows together and just picked up phrases from here and there.
Ennoshita: English – Let’s be real, he spends so much time watching and analyzing western films that without even realizing it he became pretty proficient at it.
Narita: Cantonese – He seems like he’s into Bruce Lee/Jackie Chan/90s Hong Kong films???
Kinoshita: English – He’s not particularly interested into learning another language. English is part of the curriculum at school, so he’d probably keep learning it.
Kageyama: none – it’s no secret that unless it’s related to volleyball he has no motivation to learn it.
Hinata: none – His worst subject is English, and he hates studying (unless it’s got to do with volleyball), so I don’t think he’d have any interest.
Tsukishima: German – not sure if it’s because he’s blonde, but it’s the first language that came to mind for him LOL
Yamaguchi: none – He’s not really interested in learning another language, he’ll probably learn from German from Tsukishima. He’ll keep up with English from school, but not particularly interested in becoming fluent.
Kiyoko: Korean – Nishinoya and Tanaka have no idea (they would lose their shit if they found out), but Kiyoko is actually a huge k-pop fan, and has been learning Korean on her own for a few years now. In fact, she’s pretty much fluent, and would have no trouble communicating if she were to go to Korea.
Yachi: English – Yachi is interested in learning a lot of languages, but since English is already taught at school, she feels that at the very least she should be adept at it first before attempting another language.
Takeda: Japanese – and by Japanese I mean he knows all the different dialects, and even knows old/archaic forms of Japanese. I mean, the man teaches Japanese literature.
Ukai Jr: none – He doesn’t strike me as someone who would be interested in learning another language.
What a great question and these answers feel totally spot on!
Kuroo: Cat cafe – he thinks a cafe is a good casual setting for a first date, and there’s nothing like adorable cats to ease any tension/nervousness. And can I just say, cats and kittens just clambering all over Kuroo, it’s so adorable and precious your heart might not be able to handle it.
Kai: Study date – Kai would want to start things off a bit slow and casual, a study date would allow you guys to spend time together, get some work done, and get some chit chat in to get to know each other better. He’s likely to invite you over to his house for the study date, and he’ll prepare you your favourite beverage, with some homemade cookies as snacks.
Yaku: Hiking/Zip-lining – If weather allows, Yaku would take you out to the mountains to explore. He’ll be sure to pick easy routes if you’re new to hiking, and if you’re into thrills, he’ll also take you to go zip-lining. First date with Yaku is totally chill and easy, he’ll have everything planned out and he’s got things like mosquito repellant and sunscreen covered, your only job is to have a good time.
Yamamoto: Dinner date – Boy is gonna take you out to a fancy ass restaurant and treat you to an amazing dinner. He’ll have planned it out way in advance, making the reservations, going to the restaurant to scope out the best table, he’ll even slip some cash to the host/hostess to make sure they reserve the table he picked out. He’s even fantasizing about how years down the road on your anniversary date he’s going to propose to you in the same restaurant, at the same exact table.
Kenma: Game Centre/Arcade – He can get you just about anything you want from those crane games. You want that rilakkuma plush? Kenma’s got you covered. You’ll have to be the one to take some initiative though because he’ll still feel a bit awkward being with you in the arcade and probably won’t talk to you much, but he’s all ears and very much enjoys listening to you, so don’t worry if you feel like you’re just yammering on.
Fukunaga: Cooking Class – Cat cafe was Fukunaga’s first idea, but then he came across an ad for a workshop making traditional wagashi and decided he liked that better. Although he’ll totally end up doing his own thing with the ingredients and make weird characters instead of what’s being taught. You’re guaranteed to end up in tears laughing at his hilarious creations, which really, making you laugh was what Fukunaga was going for.
Inuoka: Amusement park – You’re in for an exhausting day with this boy so I hope you had your morning coffee (or three). Rollercoasters, haunted houses, spinning tea cups, cotton candy, ice cream, you’re actually surprised neither of you threw up. He’ll take the time to talk to you and get to know you while you guys are waiting in line, and at the end of the day, he’ll wrap up the date with a relaxing ride on the ferris wheel.
Lev: Odaiba – To be more specific, he’s taking you to Ōedo Onsen Monogatari. I mean, it’s a frickin onsen theme park. This boy loves onsen, and this park has it all, it even has traditional carnival games, food, it’s got everything covered. Not to mention, seeing you in a yukata is a definite plus.
Shibayama: Dinner + Movie – Nothing fancy, he goes for a pretty typical route. He’s a nervous wreck during the whole movie though, and keeps debating with himself if it’s too bold of him if he holds your hand. He’ll take you out to a dinner afterwards, likely a familiar restaurant chain, to give you guys a chance to actually talk and get to know one another. Sweet boy will walk you home and give you a quick peck on the cheek thanking you for a lovely evening.
i know it’s not a request,
but i’ve been having a rough time at work this past week or so and wanted to write something to
cheer myself up. and who better to write this with than my husband? my

Ukai’s watching TV when the door to the apartment opens. He
half knows what to expect given that your texts to him throughout the day are
uncharacteristic of your usual ones.
“Welcome back,” he calls from the couch, eyes not leaving
the TV. Feet shuffle in lethargically and you groan in response, offering no
words back. He cranes his next from where he sits, trying to see around the
wall and down the corridor to where you are. It proves futile, but he continues
anyway. “Rough day, huh?”
You groan again a little throatier in frustration.
