aaaghkaashi:

Cinnamon-bunny-artist Soulmate AU

I’d like the Soulmate AU where you can only see in black and white until you touch your soulmate (Since I like to draw I have the idea that in this AU I’m never able to add colour because I can only see in black and white!)

I’ve sent in a matchup before but here is a brief description: I’m a very quiet and timid but also cheerful person who daydreams lots so I seem distracted most of the time! I love animals and I hope to be a veterinary nurse or work at an Animal rescue! I’m shy with physical affection but I do like it and I love cuddles!

I think what is most important in a person is consideration of others emotions (I’m easily affected by words so it’s a lil personal ^-^’)

I’m not up to date with the manga yet.

Hello dear,

Thank you so much for this request. You sound like such a lovely person, and it was a lot of fun to make you meet your soulmate. We hope you enjoy!!!

Maybe a little more here… lifting your pencil to the spot, you started to up the contrast, fill in darker shadows. You were so focused on your sketch, you didn’t notice the time slip by. Every so often you kept sneaking glances up at your favorite model, sitting with his cup of hot chocolate and laughing wholeheartedly.

His dog’s giant fluffy head lay on his lap, undisturbed by all the laughing and it made for a serene picture. You couldn’t pass on the opportunity to save this image for later indulgence. Your sketchbook was already filled with the mystery man. You kept bumping into him at the most random places and you figured he must live in the neighborhood.

At first, you justified your doodles by the need to practice. Drawing people was tough and he had really prominent facial features. His boisterous laugh somehow transferred into his face, transforming it into something that was so fascinating, it made you itch to draw him, capture this infectious happy man and his beautifully fluffy dog.

But soon it was more than that – your hand moved without a thought every time you saw him.

Of course you also had a lot of pages filled with his dog. It was a fluffy dark giant who seemed so calm in contrast to his human, their contrast complimenting each other perfectly. Once again you wished to see color so bad – with every sketch your curiosity grew, wondering about the effect colors would have on your drawings, on your perception.

The beep of your phone brought you back to reality.

>> Where are you?

Cursing you glanced at the time. You stood up, swiping everything into your bag and leaving a bill to cover your coffee and cake, yelling a quick sorry over your shoulder before you started running.

~

With a loud sigh of relief you made it to class and you plopped down in your usual seat, letting your bag fall to the ground with a bang. Trying to catch your breath you heard your friend giggle, giving you a thumbs up. “You made it! What have you been working on? Been lost in the eyes of mystery man again?”

Sticking out your tongue and blushing slightly, you couldn’t help your small smile. She was always cheering for you, curious about the art you created and it made you so happy, thankful to have the support of your friend. It hyped you up, seeing her so eager for a peek at your works. Even her teasing was full of encouragement.

Picking your bag back up again you rummaged through its messy contents only to realize that your sketchbook wasn’t there. You checked, again and again, until you spilled everything out on your table – but nothing.

Damn… you must have left it at the Cafe. It must have dropped without you noticing. You felt the urge to get up and get back there, afraid of someone else picking it up and looking through it. That could certainly be embarrassing. But your teacher was already standing in front, waiting for everyone to be quiet and start his lecture.

~

As soon as the bell rang you sprang up, running out with a quickly shouted apology to your friend. You went back to the Café, looking everywhere, asking the staff – but noone has seen your sketchbook.

You felt like screaming as you left, letting your head hang heavy, not bothering to look where you went. Mumbling to yourself, angry at everything. You almost fell over a dark fluffy mountain.

Your heart almost stopped as you recognized the dog standing in front of you. He sniffed at you and decided you were trustworthy enough to let him pet you. So he nudged at your hand and you chuckled, obliging happily.

“Hey there handsome” you whispered, scratching his head. His tongue lashed out, licking you across the face.  “So charming” you laughed, patting his head some more for good measure. “Where is your human?” you asked and he cocked his head, giving you a deep “Wooof”.

“He seems to like you” an amused voice said behind you.

You felt your face turn beet red. You knew whose voice that was. Hell, you even knew whose dog this was. But somehow it didn’t register until then. You stood, turning slowly, giving mystery man a shy smile.

“He is quiet the charmer himself.”

Looking at the man in front of you, you studied his bright smile, his wide eyes, his unusual hairstyle. You wondered once again what he would look like in colors, itching to draw him.

“Bunny!!!!” Your friend waved at you from across the street and you excused yourself, gone before he could even reply. You prayed he didn’t notice how your heart was trying to jump out of your chest to leap at him as you crossed the street to meet your friend.

~

“Was that mystery man?” your friend whispered, nudging your side.

“Shuuush!! What if he hears you?” you were walking fast, somehow embarrassed about what just happened.

Even though nothing happened.

~

“Ah, now she is gone again” he whispered in awe, looking after you.

The black dog’s ears twitched and he stared, somehow disbelieving.

“Come on, don’t look at me like that Kuroo. She was gone before I could have said anything”

Kuroo huffed, turning his head to look in the direction you ran off to.

“You act like human Kuroo more and more each day, you know?” the man laughed, patting his companions head before continuing on their way.

“I’ll tell her next time for sure.”

~

You felt so lost without your sketchbook. It wasn’t like you didn’t have a spare one – but you collected so many doodles, each holding a memory and you were deeply upset about losing it. It didn’t matter that they were still just sketches, not yet colored in because.. well. You didn’t see colors.

Those drawings meant a lot to you. This sucks. You rolled around on your bed, trying to think about something else. But somehow all your mind could come up with was todays encounter. The way you fled the scene so fast was making you flush in embarrassment now. What were you thinking?

You felt your cat coming to join you, jumping on the bed silently. Tiny paws made their way over to you, looking for a comfortable place to curl up on. She decided your chest was as good a spot as any, and she flopped down, encouraged by your coos and pats, purring softly in response.

~

Not daring to go to the Café this morning, you opted for buying some scones to go and made yourself comfortable on a bench at the nearby park.

Looking around, you enjoyed the slight breeze, feeling the itch to capture this moment. Before you could even think about getting out your spare sketchbook though something jumped at you, licking at your face eagerly.

Laughing, your hands buried in soft dark fur, you didn’t mind, didn’t even try to fight him off.

“Good morning” that voice again, so soft and velvety.

Looking up you smiled, still shy. “Good morning” you responded, barely above a whisper.

“I meant to tell you yesterday, but you ran off so fast…” he trailed off, laughing a little. His laugh was infectious and it made you want to lift a hand to his cheek in fascination, touch his lips to see how they felt.

“I found your sketchbook” he shifted, unsure of what to do. “I… saw it in the Café the other day, sprawled on the floor and I.. I went to pick it up. You were already gone and I took it so I could give it back to you…”

Your eyes widened, as did your smile. “Really? You are a lifesaver!” You could have jumped up and kissed him right then and there. Until you realized that if he took a look through that sketchbook, he’d think you are a crazy stalker. Oh oh… Your heart dropped, sweat breaking out everywhere.

A smile spread across his face at your words, while his hands fumbled your sketchbook out of his bag.

When you reached for it, your hand grazed his and it was like you were struck by lightning. You felt weak, stars exploding behind your eyes. You wobbled, flopping back down on the bench. It barely registered that his dog started barking, jumping in circles happily. You didn’t notice how mystery boy leaned forward, his arm supporting him so he could keep upright.

Both of you blinked a couple of more times, and the first thing you saw when your eyes could focus again were eyes of pure gold. You didn’t know the name of that color yet, all you knew was that it was beautiful. Mesmerizing. Fitting the person in front of you perfectly. You stared in wonder, your hand lifting to touch his cheek on its own accord.

I love that he named his dog Kuroo!!!!

So cute, love Bo!

Dear Blue heart
anon,

we chose to
call you Blue in this little story where you will meet your soulmate. We hope
that is okay. Since we want to make these scenarios personal for you, we prefer
using a name, instead of F/N.

Thank you for
all your support. We appreciate you and every time you pop up in our inbox or
notifications, we smile. You are so kind and cute and generous, so supportive
and amazing and we are so glad to have you!

Please enjoy
meeting your soulmate.

“What a cute
tattoo!” your seat neighbor whispered in class. It wasn’t the first time
someone complemented you on your soulmate tattoo. A panda bear, just on the
back of your hand, between wrist and thumb at the edge to your palm. It was
delicate, yet the panda itself looked sturdy and cute.

“Thank you” you
smiled. It looked complete to you, and you kept wondering what that was saying
about your soulmate. Your friends usually had a part of an image, just the hint
of an animal, an object, something. But your panda, he didn’t look like he was
missing anything.

You tried
concentrating on class but failed, your mind wandering back to your tattoo, your
eyes skimming the classroom. It was such an obvious place, but you still had no
idea who your soulmate could be.

~

“Hey Blue” a
familiar voice, footsteps to indicate someone was rushing to catch you. “Are
you ready for our last show tonight?” Your friend caught up to you, grinning
widely. “It’s so bittersweet, don’t you think?”

You nodded,
your heart heavy. “It is weird, to think that this is our last show together.
We will all graduate soon.”

The show your
musical group came up with was a lot of fun for you. You loved doing the
lights, loved how warm and cold light affected the scenery, how you could
affect where the eyes of your audience shifted to with just the right accents.
It was a rewarding task and you got to see your group perform, enjoying how
they gave it their all on stage.

“Do you think
the beauty and the giant will be there again, watching? They’ve been to all the
shows so far. Do you think they are crushing on one of the actors?” your friend
nudged your side when you didn’t reply immediately.

Your eyes
wandered to said giant, standing in front of his locker. His friend was talking
to him nonstop, but he didn’t seem to mind.

“Who knows?
Maybe they just want to show their support” and you smiled softly looking away
right when his eyes landed on you, a slight blush creeping on his face as he watched you passing him.

~

When the
curtains fell and everything was done, almost all of you sniffled, cried and
laughed backstage. None of you could believe it was over, and there was a lot
of hugging and pats on backs going on.

After packing
up, you helped your friend loading a couple of things into storage before going
home. You didn’t talk much, but it wasn’t an uncomfortable silence. Both of you
were content, enjoying the silence.

“Do you need a
hand?” You turned slightly. Ah. The “beauty” and his “giant friend”. You didn’t know much about
either of them, other than that they played volleyball for your high school team and were
apparently pretty good at it. You’ve been to a couple of games before, but
not these last weeks. It has been busy with the musical and all.

“Sure!” Your
friend replied and both boys made quick work of all the heavy stage gear.

“It was a good
last show. Very intriguing. I’m Futakuchi Kenji by the way. And this is my
friend Aone Takanobu.”

Aone bowed and
you weren’t completely sure, but it felt like he was only looking at you.

“Are you guys
coming to our game tomorrow?” Futakuchi asked after your friend made your
introductions.

“Of course we
are! We wouldn’t miss it!” Your friend nodded, hyped since the last game you
two watched was ages ago.

“Sure” you
added, barely above a whisper, but loud enough to reach Aones ears.

~

With a sigh you
plopped down on your bed after this long day, eyes feeling a little too dry from all the crying, but
your heart was warm and full. You lifted your hand, spreading your fingers to
study the little panda again.

Does this mean he is a big
cuddly

panda? Chuckling, you pulled your hand to
your heart. I sure hope so.

Aone Takanobu.
The image of him shot through your mind, his white hair and big eyes, his tall
frame. He was probably an amazing cuddler… and he kinda looked like a bear too.

Giggling, you shook your
head. What were you thinking? You turned, burying your
face in the soft pillow.

~

The game was
amazing. Your school team was even better than you remembered. Their huge baby setter had improved, got used to
playing with the team. He was a second year now, and he was finally growing into the role of
a playmaker. His hairstyle was still the same bird-ish one though.

They won by a
landslide and even though this was just a practice match, you cheered, loud and proud.
It was a good match and it made you itch to watch more. Which only reminded you that school was almost over. That this team would soon disband as well..

“Should we wait
for them?” Your friend asked, breaking into your thoughts, face flushed from all the cheering and yelling.

“I guess that
is the polite thing to do. We need to congratulate them as well” you said,
blushing when you saw Aone slip out of the locker room.

He came to
stand in front of you and just stared into your eyes. You gulped, head turning
to give your friend a questioning look. But she wasn’t there. It seemed you were alone.
With Aone.

“Great game”
your heart beat faster. What was going on? Why did this feel so… intense?

“Thanks” his
deep voice a low and pleasant rumble. “I noticed your tattoo.”

You lifted your
hand, examining the little panda with a warm smile.

“It matches mine” He spoke this quietly, shifting only slightly, barely noticeable. He, too, was nervous.

The words made
your heart stop and you looked up, mouth dropping open slightly at seeing Aones pink face. He held out
his hand, showing you his tattoo. The same sport as yours, just on his other
hand. A panda, slightly smaller, a tiny blue bow at its ear.

You couldn’t
say anything. You felt like you forgot every word you have ever known, glad for
your body to keep breathing on its own. His tattoo looked complete too, only that the pandas hand was slightly lifted upwards.

“Huh…” you
said, your eyes fixed on his tattoo as you lifted your hand to see. But it didn’t
seem like they fit…

“Is it okay if
I..?”

You nodded, not
even waiting for him to finish his question. Your mouth felt dry, your heartbeat
drowned everything out.

Aone took your
hand in his gently, his fingers intertwining with yours, tugging a little to make you move to
his side.

Oh.

Two Pandas.
Holding hands. Now complete.

You smiled up, your
eyes huge and glistening. Your heart filling with warmth at his loving gaze.

“yet the panda itself looked sturdy and cute.”- This description made me giggle.

Beauty and the giant , so so funny! I couldn’t figure out who the beauty was at first but when it turns out to be Kenji that’s too perfect!

“Does this mean he is a big cuddly panda” – yes! Aone is such a cuddly panda! Too cute!

Hanamaki – Color Me Yours

ASK: Hello! Could I request a Hanamaki soulmate au where when everyone sees the world in black and white, but when soulmates first make eye contact, they can see color? Thank you!

For as long as he could recall, Hanamaki didn’t give much thought to the world being in black and white. That’s just the way things were since birth; two toned. The full lack of color and the complete saturation of color with nothing in between. The status quo, normal.

But then, he started seeing people around him, his friends, begin to experience the world in a whole new light.

They were seeing color, which meant they’d found their soulmates.

It surprised them all a bit when the first of their tight knit group to experience this phenomenon was Oikawa. Ever the provincial flirt, Hanamaki considered that maybe, subconsciously, they all expected the setter to be a bachelor forever. But fate had other ideas and one day he arrived to school screaming about the beauty of the world. When they’d finally calmed him down, he told them how on his way home from the market the previous evening he’d come across his soul mate; and his whole world was literally changed.

After that, it seemed like a flood gate was opened. The next to find his was Iwaizumi, then Matsukawa. Hanamaki wondered if his turn would ever come.

“Not if you keep staring at the ground,” he sighed, tilting his head up and willing his eyes to open a bit more. If he were going to find her, he’d need to put a bit more effort in paying attention to his surroundings. A deep rumble indicated the approach of his train and he tugged his bag onto his shoulder. As he stepped into the car, he took hold of one of the handles and turned his attention towards the front of the train only to have a wave of pain shoot through his skull.

“Ugh!” he groaned, falling to his knees. It felt like his eyes were on fire! He clutched at his face, rubbing furiously over his eyelids trying to get them to stop stinging. What the hell was wrong with him? The world faded away, yells for assistance growing faint as his vision narrowed to a pair of y/c eyes.

Wait….color? He didn’t know the name of what he was seeing, but he knew it was something he’d never seen before. Which could only mean…

He sat up, hand against his head, vision still swimming but slowly everything started coming back into focus; glorious technicolor focus! Next to him lay a girl, also coming to and being assisted to sit up by their fellow passengers. Reaching out, he touched her shoulder drawing her hazy attention to his face. He watched as her eyes, also formerly squinted, widened when her focus returned.

“Y…you…you can see them right? The colors?” she asked a bit breathless.

“Yeah,” he confirmed, hand still holding her. His eyes fell to it, a blush coming on his cheeks. “Sorry, I just…you…”

“It’s fine,” she affirmed quickly, soft smile on her face.

“Hey you kids ok?” someone asked from the crowd.

“Yeah, we’re fine, sorry about that,” Hanamaki said standing. Turning, he extended his hand to her. “Let me help you…”

“_________,” she supplied placing her hand in his.

He drew her to her feet, picking up her bag and slinging it on to his shoulder along with his own. “Pleasure to meet you. I’m Hanamaki Takahiro. Um, would you..would you like to get some coffee or something?” He knew they both had school, but he didn’t want to part from her, didn’t want the opportunity to get to know her better right away slip away. He saw her hesitate, clearly the same consideration in her own mind but to his delight she nodded.

At the next stop, they alighted from the train, walking side by side, both unable to stop their heads whipping back and forth to take in what used to be familiar surroundings. Her gasp brought his attention back to her. “Just a second,” she requested, hurrying into a store. Confused, Hanamaki looked at the sign above the door, then smiled; a bookstore. He could guess what she was looking for.

A few moments later she returned, smile bright.

“Since we’ve never seen them before I figured we could use this,” she explained holding up her purchase. Across the cover he read: “Color Identification”.

He chuckled. “I like your practical mind.”

She blushed, averting her eyes to the ground. “Tha..thank you. Um, maybe instead of a cafe we could…walk around and see the colors?”

He nodded. “That sounds great.”

They began walking, her with the book open, excitedly pointing out all the colors she could identify quickly. Their impromptu exploration date lasted well into the afternoon, consisting of a respite at a ramen counter where they got to know more about each other. He talked about his volleyball team while she expounded on her extra curricular activities. The longer she talked, the more Hanamaki found himself falling for her. He knew there was no guarantee of love with a soulmate but being with her he felt his heart filling with joy.

“Hanamaki-kun, do you…do you have a favorite yet?”
“Hmmm?” he asked cocking an eyebrow.

“A favorite color? I know it’s probably too soon to have picked but-”

“Your eyes,” he interjected. In light of her stunned silence he went on, “I know it’s probably cliche and I’m most likely not the first to say it to their soulmate. But truly,” he leaned his chin on his palm, smiling, “your eyes are my favorite color.”

Her cheeks reddened and she hastened to change the subject but he smiled, knowing that even if they were just at the beginning of this journey, he couldn’t wait to see where it would lead. And he would do everything he could to fill her world with more than just color.

He would fill it with love.
