[Songfic Event] Heard it Through the Grapevine (Candice Glover version) feat. COP!AOMINE x FEM!SO. Mild angst due to some misunderstanding; fluffy ending please. Up to your discretion whether to include an NSFW component somewhere. Thanks & congratulations!

Thank you for the congratulations and the request! Officer
Aomine is a popular one! I don’t think I followed the letter of the song
entirely because the rumor part is so small but I feel good about what I came
up with and think it is within the spirit of the song. If it’s so off the mark
you want me to try again, please let me know, but I hope you enjoy this!

Heard It Through The Grapevine – cover by Candice Glover – Aomine

“Who was that woman I saw with Aomine?”

“The one with the pink hair? I have no idea! Maybe an old
girlfriend?”

“Or a new one if the rumors about him are true. Really, I
thought he’d turned over a new leaf since marrying his wife but I guess people
never really change.”

“It’s just a shame because she’s so sweet…”

The voices of the two women fade to white noise as you hold
a shaking coffee cup in your hand. Thanks to the high backs of the booth in the
diner, they’d no idea you were able to hear their conversation. Not that you
were one to listen in on other people, but being alone you had nothing to
distract you and hearing your husband’s name of course caught your attention.
Now, you weren’t sure if you were glad to hear this or not. The phrase “ignorance
is bliss” wasn’t coined for no good reason.

They rise and walk out, still not noticing that one of the
subjects of their gossip is sitting with tears rolling down her face as they
continue their mindless chatter.

You sit there for a long time, staring into space as you go
over the last couple months in your mind. Daiki has been busy, picking up
extra shifts (or so he says) because he wants to make sergeant and with the
heavy competition within the department he needs to put in all the work he can.

But now you’re second guessing him, wondering if perhaps he’s
been lying to you this whole time. When you started dating Aomine after
college, some catty girls who never got past high school warned you that he
wouldn’t be faithful, that his sex drive was too high for one woman to satisfy.
Granted, you knew Aomine was a considerable horn dog, but it was just in his
nature being an alpha male. One year into the academy, he was working his ass
off to earn his stripes. When they’d tried to tell you more, you’d stopped
them. Regardless of how he was in the past, Aomine for the most part treated
you with respect and really cared about you.

So you continued dating for two years and at his graduation
from the academy he proposed.

That was five years ago and you’d never been happier; until
now.

You shake your head, standing up and tossing a tip on the
table as you make your way outside. It’s raining, but you can be bothered with
your umbrella. In times of reflection, you’ve found it soothing to walk beneath
the patter of water, symbolically cleansing your mind so you can think more
clearly. But the pounding of the drops and the claps of thunder only add to the
turmoil burning in your soul. It increases tenfold when you reach the substation
only to see your husband with his arms wrapped around a woman with pink hair
who, when she turns, you can see is pregnant.

A startled cry escapes your lips, but is drowned in the
sound of the downpour. You whole body is shaking, not from cold but from anger
and sadness; how could he be so blatant about his betrayal, standing in front
of the very place where all your friends reside because everyone knows a cop’s
life, and that of his wife, is so centered around their job there is no getting
away from it.

In a blind fury, you race away into the night, stumbling on
the slick ground where you cut up your knees pretty badly but you don’t feel
it, not with the rush of adrenaline coursing through your veins. You don’t know
how long you run, but it feels like forever. By the time you stop, you’re
somewhere you don’t recognize and realize with horror that when you fell you’d
dropped your purse which held your cell phone.

Crouching under a stairwell, body trembling from the cold, you
settle your head against your knees and cry until your eyes hold no more
tears. Time passes by slowly and you know you should get up and go home but you
simply don’t have the energy to try, don’t have the guts to face Daiki and what
he’s done. Was that why they were at the station? To show off what you struggled
to give him? Doesn’t he understand how much you love him? How much you were
willing to give up for him?

Drifting in and out of sleepy consciousness, your head
settles against the bricks behind you. Eventually, you fall prey to the lull of
sleep, body soaked to the bone and just not caring what happens to you anymore.

Warmth surrounds you and you wonder if you’ve left the
earthly plane for another. As you rouse, trying to open your eyes, you hear a
voice calling your name. It’s gravelly, laced with what seems to be pain and
worry but it can’t be who you think it is because he never shows those
emotions, never allows himself to appear weak in front of anyone, including
you.

But when you open your eyes, it’s to find Daiki leaning over
you, his hand holding one of yours while his other strokes the top of your
head. When you reach a full state of consciousness, you see his brow furrow and
there’s your Daiki.

“________, what the hell were you thinking? Do you know how
worried I was?”

“Officer Aomine, please-“begins the doctor but there’s no
stopping your husband once he gets going.

“I thought you were dead! And you could have been, you know,
with where they found you! Thank god Izuki has that damn eagle like vision
otherwise there’s no telling how long it could have been before you were found!”

Struggling to find your voice, you finally croak out, “What
do you care? You’ve got someone else now anyway.”

His body goes completely still, face the picture of shocked incredulity.
“What did you just say?” he says darkly.

You cough, taking a sip of water to coat your dry throat
before asking, “Why…why didn’t you tell me, you were so unhappy? Why did you have
to betray me like that?”

Aomine’s anger melts away to full blown confusion. He takes
your hand, squeezing it so you can’t let go and bores his gaze into your eyes. “I
have no fucking idea what you’re talking about, so either you’re delirious from
your fever or someone has been filling your head with absolute bullshit!”

“I saw you with her, Daiki!” you shout suddenly and the
whole room stills in the wake of your revelation.

Aomine wracks his brain, trying desperately to make sense of
what you’re saying. Then, as comprehension dawns, he starts to chuckle. Then he’s
doubled over in laughter, eyes watering. Your hands clench in tight fists and you
wish you had the strength to slug him a good one.

He works to compose himself quickly, wiping his eyes before
looking back into yours. Cupping your face with his large hands, the feel of
him hot against your skin, he says, “The “her” you’re referring to is one of my
oldest friends, Satsuki Kuroko.”

“Your…friend?” you ask weakly.

He nods, kissing your forehead and murmuring against your
skin, “Yes, my precious idiot. She and I grew up together, went to high school
together. We parted ways in college and she ended up going to the same school
as my best friend, Tetsu. They got married about a year ago and are having a
kid.”

“Well, if that’s true, where was he?” you counter.

“She’s here on business, decided to drop by and surprise me
because she always knows everything about everyone.”

“Why wasn’t she at our wedding if she’s such a good friend?”

“When I told her the date of it, she let me know she couldn’t
make it,” he supplies.

“Daiki, why didn’t you ever tell me about her?”

He shrugs. “I don’t talk about my past because I’m not that
proud of it. We moved on and grew up and have our own lives. But that doesn’t
mean we forgot about each other.” He kisses your lips, seeming to breathe life
back into your soul. “I wasn’t hiding her, she’s just…more of memory now.”

A choked sob pulls from your chest as you fling your arms
around Daiki’s neck. “I’m sorry! I’m so, so sorry that I didn’t trust you! That
I worried you over nothing, that I-“

He kisses you again, more hotly, more passionately and you
can’t stop a moan from coming up in your throat. As he pulls away, he nips your
bottom lip. “I’ll forgive you…after giving you a proper punishment when you’re
all better.”

Suddenly, you feel quite warm again, but know it has nothing
to do with your fever.

Somewhere Only We Know by Keane – Kuroo

The first time Kuroo saw you, he was distracted. He was running
late for practice and had to sprint across the campus in order to get the gym
even remotely on time. Just as he exited from the overhang of one of the
classrooms, a startled, “Look out!” drew his attention. With his quick
reflexes, he was able to dodge whatever it was that landed in the place he was
formerly standing. Looking up, he caught sight of your blushing face, a
confused scowl on his own.

“What’s the big idea tossing things from there!” he shouted up and
you blushed further.

“So…sorry, senpai,” you stammered out, heart hammering in your
chest.

From beside you a fellow underclassman explained you were
conducting the “egg drop” test for your science class. Reaching down, Kuroo
found the object for which all this trouble, and his now being late to
practice, had caused. It was an orange wrapped snuggly with a rubber band.

Looking back up at you, he smirked. “Looks like you’ll get a passing
grade,” he supplied then took off again as he tossed it back up to your
position. You fumbled a bit but caught it, eyes chasing after his tall form as
he ran.

As he left, Kuroo gave you one last consideration: you were cute.
How had he not seen you before now? But the answer supplied itself as he
entered the gym; once focused on volleyball everything and everyone else faded
into the background.

I walked
across an empty land

I knew the
pathway like the back of my hand

I felt the
earth beneath my feet

Sat by the
river, and it made me complete

The second time you ran into each other, he was on his way home on
the train, eyes fixated on his failed test. Overall, his grades were decent but
falling behind was not an option; his mother had already warned one more failed
class and she’d pull him from the team. Grumbling, he didn’t notice you take a
seat until the train lurched and you crashed into him, body unprepared for the
shift of the car.

“I’m sorry,” you cried out hastening to move away from him.

His eyes landed on you, widening a bit when he realized you looked
familiar. Suddenly it came to him. “You’re the orange drop girl, aren’t you?”
he asked.

Blinking at him, you managed a small shy smile, nodding slightly.

Looking down, you saw that his paper had fallen to the ground
during your impact and trying to be kind, you picked it up. Your eyes couldn’t
stop from reading the page, a crimson flushing across your cheeks as you
realized he probably didn’t want anyone, let alone a stranger from his school,
seeing it. But you also couldn’t help noticing he was struggling in a subject
you were quite astute in.

Before you thought better of it, your lips were moving. “If you
need help in this subject, I could tutor you.” A deep flush overtook your face
but you forced yourself to meet Kuroo’s eyes.

His face spoke of incredulity and he was seconds away from turning
you down. Honestly, the last thing he wanted to admit was that he needed help
but he was running out of time and focusing on school was getting harder the
closer and closer they crept towards Nationals.

Extending his hand, he replied, “Ok, orange-drop girl, show me
what’cha got?”

You shook hands, offering, “It’s l/n, f/n, in case you were
wondering, Kuroo-senpai.”

He chuckled. “Sure, _______-san.”

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

His first study session with you proved a challenge because he
couldn’t focus. His phone was constantly going off with questions from the team
not to mention other groups he was involved in projects for. Normally a focused
person, Kuroo found it very difficult to give his full attention to the subject
matter mostly because his lack of understanding it frustrated him. He was
tense, eye brows furrowed but no matter how hard he tried, everything you were
saying didn’t make sense.

“You know, I think this is just a waste of time,” he muttered.
When he saw your face flush he hastily added, “Your time, not mine. I just
don’t get this crap.”

You were silent for a moment, weighing how you could help him. You
weren’t even fully sure why you’d offered on the train, it just sort of fell
out. But you could stubborn and knew if you could just get him to focus he
would do fine. Nodding your head once, you stood up. Kuroo didn’t bother to
look up, partially ashamed of giving up so quickly so he started a bit when
your hand grasped his firmly and tugged.

“Come on,” you nodded your head in the direction of the bedroom
door before grabbing your bag and heading out.

Curious, Kuroo began to follow but you threw back over your
shoulder, “Bring your study material.”

He huffed in vexation but figured if he drug you out here on a
Saturday the least he could do is follow your instructions. Grabbing his
backpack, he stuffed the books and papers in haphazardly and pursued you.

You made your way to a little known park hidden behind an
abandoned apartment complex. “So what is this?” he asked as you rounded the
building.

“It’s where I used to live when I was a kid but the building’s foundation
was set in soft soil so it was condemned.”

“Oh, I’m sorry,” he said awkwardly.

“Don’t be, it’s not like I’m broken up about it,” you offered
kindly. “But the one thing I did miss as I was growing up was this park.”

“Yeah, it’s really nice,” he observed, “Especially for not being
kept up.”

“It’s kind of wild now, that’s why I like it,” you confessed.

“So you like things wild, huh?” he teased. By now you were used to
his antics and so just rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t stop a heated flush
from creeping up your throat.

Nearing a giant tree the center of the park, you pointed up.
“That,” you said looking over your shoulder at him, “is my sanctuary. I’ve
never shown this to anyone since coming back so I’d appreciate it if you kept
it to yourself.”

Kuroo’s eyes grew wide at the sight of the monstrous tree, a
seemingly well-built treehouse secured among it’s strong branches. As you
reached the trunk, he looked about. “How the hell do you get up there?” he
asked bewildered. “Don’t tell me you climb it!”

“Scared of heights, Kuroo-kun?” you teased.

“No, but I do have a healthy respect for gravity and this trunk
looks a little steep,” he retorted.

“Oh ye of little faith,” you smirked.

Kuroo could definitely say he’d rubbed off on you. You were much
less prone to behaving shyly around him and for some reason it made him happy.
He watched as you reached into what looked like a solid branch only to find you
could put your hand into it, a rope the reward of its hidden compartment. A
firm tug resulted in a wooden ladder descending from the branches above. With
steady hands and feet, you shimmied up the swaying apparatus with ease. He
swallowed thickly, nerves almost getting the better of him but he couldn’t back
down now!

Much slower than you, he climbed rung after rung until he reached
the top. As he settled against the ground of the treehouse you pulled back
curtains to reveal a grand view of the park.

“This is where I come to relax mostly but every so often I use it
as a haven where I can fully focus on the tasks I have. Cell reception is
pretty much nill so I kind of give into the fantasy that I’m
somewhere…magical.” Your cheeks erupted in vibrant red at your confession and
Kuroo’s slight chuckle.

“Well, it certainly is interesting, I’ll give you that,” he
commented. Looking back at your face, he smiled sincerely and you felt your
heart leap into your throat. “Either way, thanks for sharing this with me. You
didn’t have to do this.”

“I know,” you whispered pulling a blanket from your bag that you
always carried, “but you need help and I…I want to help you.”

As you settled down, he joined you, unpacking his books, notepad
and pens. Taking a deep breath, he said, “Well, let’s not make it a wasted
trip, eh?”

You smiled widely and nodded, pointing out where you’d left off
and proceeded to continue with the tutoring.

I came
across a fallen tree

I felt the
branches of it looking at me

Is this
the place we used to love?

Is this
the place that I’ve been dreaming of?

Each session after the first improved, Kuroo feeling he was
finally getting a grasp of the material. You didn’t always need to go to the “secret
forest” as Kuroo called it but whenever he felt especially pent up, he’d ask
to go there. Occasionally you couldn’t join him but gave him directions so he
could find his way there on his own. “Just don’t take any girlfriends there,”
you teased, “it’s a sacred place.”

He’d laughed. “Tch, like I have time for a girlfriend.”

He didn’t notice the look of sadness in your eyes.

Eventually, it was time for Kuroo’s make up exam and he nailed it
with a B+. He was so happy he ran to find you in the quad, throwing his arms
around your waist and spinning you around thanking you for your help. But as he
set you down, the realization that his success meant the end of his need for
tutoring with you caused an unexpected bolt of disappointment to hit him. He
liked spending time with you…a lot. You weren’t just a tutor, you’d become a
friend to him and if he were honest, something much more than that. With a
nervous flutter in his heart he said, “Come out and celebrate with me.” You
accepted, a dusting of pink on your cheeks giving him hope that maybe his new-found
affections weren’t one sided.

The first date, unofficially as it may have been, went well. You
were already used to each other, had already spent so much time getting to know
one another that it felt natural to be out just the two of you. For all intents
and purposes, the time should have felt like any other when you were together
but somehow both of you knew this was a big deal, that something was shifting
in the tone of your relationship. It was an interesting position for you both,
the idea of something more both enticing and frightening because if it didn’t
work you ran the risk of ruining a good thing.

However, when Kuroo took you home that evening, he felt a tremor
of nerves hit him as he looked in your eyes and neither of you could deny any
more that you felt more for each other than friendly affection. Taking a leap
of faith, Kuroo asked with all the confidence he could muster, “______-san,
would you…would you like to go out with me again some time?”

You nodded enthusiastically making him chuckle. Kuroo found he
really wanted to kiss you goodnight but refrained, both from timing and his
heart pounding so hard in his chest he was sure you could hear it. So he
settled for squeezing your hand, backing away with a genial wave before turning
around and walking in the direction of home.

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

That date turned into another, which turned into another until
Kuroo was counting down the days until he could see you outside the confines of
school. But the times were getting spread out more and more the larger his
responsibility to the team grew. It came to a head one week, when he was so
busy he’d barely had time to talk to you let along go out. As much as he wanted
to go to Nationals, he found himself longing for just one day off to rest, one
day to catch his breath, one day to spend with you completely alone. He knew,
however, that was a pipedream for the time being.

Hiding his trepidation as much as he could, he took your hand
after school one day and said, “______-chan,” the use of your first name
startling you, “I…I know I haven’t had much time to spend with you, so asking
this now may seem odd. But, would you…would you be my girlfriend? Even if we
can’t be together all the time, I’d like to know that wherever you are…you’re
mine.”

He could see the shock in your eyes at his confession but the next
moment you’d flung your arms around his neck in a fierce embrace and gleefully
accepted his confession. Kuroo had never felt so lighthearted in his life.
This…this is what he was missing, someone to call his own.

And if you
have a minute, why don’t we go

Talk about
it somewhere only we know?

This could
be the end of everything

So why
don’t we go

Somewhere
only we know?

It should have come as no surprise to him that you would prove to
be a near perfect girlfriend. You never complained about his schedule,
explaining that you too were constantly busy and had been feeling bad about not
being able to commit more time to him as well. When you were able, you came to
see him at practice, catching snippets of his time during water breaks to chat
hurriedly about each other’s days. The team, of course, teased their captain
about his new lady friend, but he didn’t care; you were his and that’s all that
matter to him. As often as possible, you came to his games, cheering loudly for
him and the rest of the cats to do their best.

One night during dinner, Kuroo’s mom asked how you were and he
smiled brightly, telling about your success in one of the essay writing
contents you’d entered and the fact that you’d brought him a homemade bento to
practice the previous night. As she listened to him talk, Kuroo’s mom could see
intense adoration, maybe even love, burning in his eyes. With a gentle hand and
even gentler voice, she urged him to be careful with his heart.

“She’s great mom, she’s not going to break my heart,” he insisted
but she persisted.

“Tetsurou, I know with the responsibility you both bear you feel
like you’re already adults, but remember; you’re both still so young. A lot can
happen between now and graduation.”

But he wouldn’t listen, couldn’t believe that someone so perfect
for him would be the cause of pain. Sure, you had your arguments and
disagreements, what couple didn’t? But at the end of the day you were still the
only one he wanted to talk to, needed
to talk to at least once to feel like it was complete. So he kept on going,
falling deeper and deeper for you until the only word left to describe it was
love.

He should have known to listen to the wisdom of his mother.

Prior to his final exams, Kuroo had been approached by a prestigious
college in Tokyo offering him a full ride volleyball scholarship. He was beyond
the moon with happiness because it meant he could stay at home, play the game
he loved and still see you as you finished out your third year.

He sprinted to your house, lost for breath as he rapidly told you
what had happened.

You listened silently, gripping his hands tightly with your eyes
shining with excitement on his behalf. But when he mentioned hopes to be able
to see you more often due to a less strenuous schedule he saw your face fall.

“What? What is it?” he asked, concern lacing his voice.

You shuffled your feet, eyes landing on the ground. A gentle tug
against your chin brought your face back up and Kuroo was startled to see you
holding back tears. “Babe, what’s going on?”

Sniffling you replied, “Um, about my third year, I made it into
the foreign exchange program.”

Kuroo felt like he’d been punched in the gut. He of course knew
about the program, it was something you’d talked about before the two of you had
gotten together. At the time, he’d been a bit sad at the prospect of you
leaving but that was before he’d fallen in love with you. And truthfully, he’d
assumed when you’d gotten together you would have forgone applying. He’d
feigned encouragement at the time you had, ashamed but unable to deny he’d
hoped perhaps you wouldn’t make it in, that the slots would fill, that
something would step in to stop you from going.

But no, the fates were cruel and you were leaving while he would
be here, alone without you. He shook his head, trying to shake himself into
sensible thinking. You’d done nothing wrong, you were following your dream just
as much as he would have done so were the tables turned. That didn’t stop the
sting he felt, the heavy weight of disappointment weighing down his heart.

“Kuroo-kun, say something,” your soft voice pleaded.

He blinked, roused back to the present and looked at your
intertwined hands. Giving them a squeeze, he pulled you in close, tucking you
easily beneath his chin and holding you tightly. “Congratulations,” he
whispered and felt your arms close around his waist in a vice like grip. You
held each other in silence, you soaking his shirt with your tears and his
sliding down his cheeks. This wasn’t going to be easy but he knew he couldn’t
let you go, at least not permanently.

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

From that day on, you and Kuroo spent as much time together as you
could. He would even go so far as to sneak out of his house, shimmy up the tree
outside your bedroom window and crawl in to sleep with you through the night,
always making sure to leave an hour before his mom’s alarm was set to go off.
In all the times he stayed with you, he never once tried to go further than
just sleeping but as the time for your departure drew closer, the temptation
grew stronger.

The days after Kuroo’s graduation were great because he had more
time to spend with you. Bitter sweet as leaving his high school team had been,
he knew he had a lot more work ahead of him with the new team so he focused all
of his attention on you as much as possible.

The night before you were scheduled to depart found you tangled up
in Kuroo’s embrace, limbs intertwined as he kissed you with passion. His hands
wandered shakily under your shirt, the feel of his palms scorching your skin as
he touched you.

A breathy, “Kuroo, wait,” fell from your lips as his trailed down
the side of your neck in sloppy, open mouth kisses. You pushed on his shoulder,
making him lean up to look down at you, eyes hooded and breath panting. “We…we
shouldn’t do this, not now.”

“Please,” he begged, nuzzling your nose and squeezing his eyes
shut, “I just…I need you so bad. Don’t you want this with me?” He opened his
eyes, cupping your face as he confessed, “I love you, _______.”

“Kuroo, I…I love you too, but…I don’t want our first time to feel
like…like we’re doing it to say goodbye,” you sniffled.

He clenched his teeth, fighting back a wealth of frustration at
this whole situation. His blood felt like it was on fire, his adoration for you
burning him from the inside out and for the first time in a long while he felt
a red, hot anger accompanying it.

When he didn’t speak you went on, gently touching his cheek with
the backs of your fingers. “Just…hold me tonight. I told my mom I was staying
here because I won’t see you for a year. When I get back…that’s when we can.”

Sighing, he laid back down, face buried in the crook of your neck.
“You won’t forget me, right?” he mumbled against your skin and you couldn’t
help the smile on your face.

“Of course not, you dork,” you admonished playfully slapping his
back. “I love you too much.”

To say time became a paradox for the both of you would feel like
an understatement. Somehow, your days apart went both quickly and terribly
slow. Kuroo finally figured it out one night, six months into your parting. The
days were fast because they were full of the busyness of life; volleyball
practice, classes, games, visiting friends when he had time, studying. But it
was the night, the quiet times miraculously not filled with obligations, where
he felt your absence the strongest. He could only speculate that the difference
between now and how things were in high school for the two of you was the fact
that he had no ability to see you in person. He couldn’t hug you, kiss you,
ruffle your hair, tickle you, fall asleep next to you.

Your relationship became centered around Skype calls and text
messaging and Kuroo could only be thankful he’d not been born in a time where
snail mail was the only option and even then, there was no guarantee a letter
would reach one’s loved ones.

He found it ironic that he longed for high school again, that it
felt simpler then because at least you were here.

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

Late one night, when Kuroo couldn’t sleep, he found himself wandering
the city in a mindless haze. His brain was going what felt like one hundred
miles per hour. Sighing, he decided to make the trek to the secret forest,
hoping the walk and being in a place that reminded him so much of you would
help calm him, even if it did sting to be there without you. It took him about
an hour to reach it but he climbed the ladder, sat down and stared out the
window at the stars.

He thought he heard movement from below but equated it to random
wildlife that had taken over the area. However, when he heard the creak of wood
and squeak of the ropes he flew to the hatch opening and looked down. From
below, he watched as a figure made their way up the ladder. Frowning, Kuroo
turned on his flashlight, shining the beam down and asked roughly, “Who’s
there?”

When your face came into view his heart almost stopped. What were
you doing here? A large smile split your face, your pace increasing to reach
him faster. As you neared the opening, Kuroo leaned down, grabbing your
forearms and hoisting you the remaining two feet easily. He collapsed backwards
pulling you on top of him, hands flying to cup your face.

I came
across a fallen tree

I felt the
branches of it looking at me

Is this
the place we used to love?

Is this
the place that I’ve been dreaming of?

“Wha…you…why…” he couldn’t get his brain to form a question due to
his shock of you being here so randomly.

“I came back tonight, my program ended early and I wanted to
surprise you,” you replied.

He didn’t answer, just pulled you roughly down to crash your lips
against his, tangling his fingers in your hair. An appreciative sigh exited
your nose, ghosting over his face warming him. He rotated, slamming the hatch
down to fully cut off the world but never broke the kiss. Hands wandered under
your shirt, cold fingers making you hiss but you wanted him touching you.

Kuroo released you to gather a breath but kept his face close,
unwilling to spare any distance if possible. Eyes shining with unshed tears you
looked up at him with such a look of pure love and longing it made his heart
dance. “Kuroo, I want to be with you,” you said and he groaned low in his
throat. Sitting up, he leaned against the wall tugging you into his lap,
quickly shedding you of your shirt. The night air made you shiver but the feel
of his heated skin when his own shirt was pulled away felt like heaven.

He kissed your neck with soft, teasing lips, savoring the taste of
you, relishing in the feel of you against him. “You really want to do this
here?” he asked breathless when your own mouth descended to his throat.

“I can’t wait to go back home, please Kuroo,” you panted.

He nodded a few times, lifting you up so he could stand and remove
his pants. Thankfully in the days of your coming here together, he’d been smart
enough to leave a plastic tub with a blanket and pillow for the times either of
you needed to stretch out comfortable, usually right next to each other.
Quickly he set them out and when he turned to find you completely naked he felt
himself firm up completely.

Moonlight struck your skin illuminating it to an almost ethereal
glow. He tore off his boxers, laying down on the ground to protect your body
from its firmness with his own. With arms outstretched, he beckoned you to lay
atop him which you did without hesitation.

His hands were everywhere, touching, caressing, molding your
flesh. He couldn’t get enough of your lips despite his desire to kiss you all
over your body. This wasn’t how he’d imagined your first time being, having
always believed you be in a warm comfortable bed with more solid walls and no
draft. That he could take his time worshiping your body. But at the same time,
it felt right to do this here, where the beginning of your relationship really
took place.

So he kissed you and touched you, receiving your returned
attentions with guttural grunts and low sighs. He prepared you as best he could
given the conditions, but you assured him you didn’t care, all you wanted was
to finally be with him, to be united in body as you were in heart and soul.

When he entered the depths of your being, you cried out in
momentary pain but his surprisingly skillful hands turned the tide towards
pleasure fairly quickly. The movements were awkward and slightly painful but
the joy of finally being together in every sense of the word overrode your
discomfiture.

And when you finally reached your peak, shrieking into the dead of
the night Kuroo lost himself and came too, spilling deep in your body.

“I…I’m sorry,” he panted, “I just…couldn’t…hold back.”

You leaned down, kissing him softly and assured him he did everything
you wanted and more. “I’m on the pill, it’s ok,” you advised and he felt
tension leave his body.

Snuggling you close to his chest, he kissed the top of your head. He knew you
couldn’t stay there, the cold of the night bound to make you both sick if
you did, but he remained still just a little bit longer, savoring the feel of
you being in his arms and the comfort of knowing he’d never have to let you go
again.

Congrats on all the followers dear! Celebratory songfics? Could I request one using the song Open Your Eyes by Tha Los? Perhaps with a scenario where Koganei is trying to comfort his crush, who has just had her heart broken by another person.

My first request for Koganei! I just love that cat boy so
much! Thanks for requesting, I hope you enjoy it! And thanks for the congratulations!

Open Your Eyes by Tha Los – Koganei

“Oh Koga, what is wrong with me?” you practically wail
throwing yourself dramatically on your bed.

Koga would be snickering at your theatrical display but he
knows you well enough to be aware this is no joke; you truly believe something is
wrong with you because that idiot broke up with you. Koga already didn’t like
him simply for the fact that he was with you and Koga wasn’t. Call him petty if
you like, that’s how he felt though he tried to be
as supportive as possible while stuffing down his own feelings to the balls of
his feet.

I see you in the
lonely place

How could you be so
blind

You still regretting
the love you left, left behind

But looking at you now, curled up in a fetal position, tears
streaming down your face, he sees just how much
he hurt you. Not one usually given to violence, Koga is startled by his intense
desire to deck this guy in the face; or at the very least bribe Kagami-kun to
do it. He shakes his head to dispel his irritation; you don’t need that right
now.

I seen you go through
the changes

Sitting alone each
night

Are you expecting to find
the love, love that’s right

Sitting on the bed, his hand lands on your shoulder, his grip
firm but gentle as he murmurs, “_____-chan, there’s nothing wrong with you.”

Your eyes flick up to his face, pain smeared across your
countenance. “Then why did he break up with me?” you whine. “I mean, I thought
everything was going perfectly!”

Darling open your eyes

Let me show you light

Girl you never find a
love that’s right

Koga grits his teeth and holds his tongue as his hand
mindlessly finds its way into your hair to stroke comfort into your body. He
sees your shoulders relax slightly from his touch, gratified that he can
provide you some relief however minor.

Suddenly, he’s overcome with a rush of confidence to confess
his feelings for you. He’s been caught up in waiting for the perfect moment but
realizes such a thing doesn’t exist. There is no perfect moment to put a decade’s
long friendship on the line by confessing deeper feelings. There is no perfect
time to take the longing of his heart and pull it out into the open, to leave
it vulnerable to your scrutiny.

There are times when
you need someone

I will be by your side

I’ll take my chances
before they pass, pass me by

But just as he’s about to open his mouth to do so, it occurs
to him that now would be the absolute worst
moment to do this. What if you think he’s patronizing you? Or that he’s
using your weakness to his advantage? Could you ever think those things about
him? The very thought makes his stomach flip uncomfortably and he has to hold
back a grimace.

Apparently, he doesn’t do so very well because you catch the
change in his expression, feel the tenseness in his body he wasn’t even aware
he was displaying.

“Koga? Are you ok?”

Momentarily distracted from your own pain in favor of
inspecting his obvious discomfort you lean up on your elbow, your proximity making Koga’s
heart skip two beats before racing like a jack rabbit. Your gaze has him locked
in an unbreakable hold and he doesn’t know what to do. His throat feels raw,
the effort to speak so difficult that he merely takes in a shaky breath,
exhaling it slowly to mingle with yours.

“Koga, you’re scaring me, what’s wrong?”

“______-chan,” he begins, voice low and gravelly, very
unlike his usual cadence, “what…what do you see when you look in my eyes?”

“Huh? What do you mean?” you ask confused.

His hand cups the side of your face, his touch sending an
unexpected shock coursing through your body that makes you jump in surprise but
you don’t pull back. If anything, you lean involuntarily into the embrace of
his palm. “Can’t you see the way I look at you?”

Oh darling, there is a
light that shines

Special for you and me

You need to look at
the other side, you’ll agree

Koga’s eyes are burning feverishly, so hotly that you want
to look away but you don’t dare because you know this is important, this is
something huge and significant happening and you don’t want to miss it no
matter how much it scares you. But why are you scared? This is just Koga, your best
friend. The guy who makes you laugh when you’re crying, who helps calm you down
when you’re struggling to get through homework and projects and tests, the guy
who works so hard for his team but always makes time for you, the guy-

Your thoughts cut off abruptly, eyes widening as the
realization of just who you’re
looking at finally hits you. This isn’t just
Koga.

This is who you’ve been looking for and all along he’s been
right in front of your face the whole time.

Darling open your eyes

Let me show you the
light

You may never find a
love that’s right

You lean forward, lips barely touching his but the contact
snaps the thin thread of control Koga has been clutching to. He surges forward,
knocking you flat on your back once more, his body half covering yours as his
lips caress yours firmly in a sultry kiss. The hand on your face trails to the
back of your head, gripping your hair as he nips your bottom lip.

Your mouth parts instinctively but you feel him hesitate,
unsure he should go on.

“Koga,” you whisper, encouragement, you hope, lacing your
tone.

The message gets through and he dives back in, this time
with no pause, tongue rolling against yours sending heat throughout your body.
You clutch at the back of his shirt, a slight moan escaping making your cheeks
erupt in flame.

He releases your lips, but keeps his forehead pressed to
yours, both of your breaths coming out in short, sharp pants.

When you finally open your eyes, it’s to find him staring
down at you, a placid smile on his face.

“Is it safe to say, you can see me now?” he asks and you
nod, pulling him down in a fierce hug.

“You’re all I want to see from now on,” you confess and he
tightens his grip.

Maybe now was the
perfect time after all.

Can you do Colbie Caillat’s You Got Me? And Ushijima Wakatoshi as the character mehehe i chose this song because it would be so cute for ushijima to like someone so much he could burst any moment 😁 please and thank you! 😊

Awww! I agree that it would be super cute to see him
crushing on someone. I hope you like what I came up with!

You Got Me by Colbie Caillat – Ushijima

“So, I was thinking, we could go to that new movie this
weekend,” Tendou says only to discover that his best friend is no longer next
to him. Whirling around, the middle blocker makes his way back to where
Ushijima is standing stock still in the middle of the hallway, his eyes fixated
on something. Following his line of sight, Tendou’s look of curiosity turns to
one of mirth when he realizes what, or rather who, Wakatoshi is staring at.

There you stand, mouth wide open in a full-blown laugh that
carries down the hall in both directions. Even from this distance both the boys
can see your eyes shining with jubilee as you respond to whatever it is your
friend just said that made you laugh so hard.

You’re stuck on me and
my laughing eyes

I can’t pretend though
I try to hide

I like you. I like you

“You know, instead of always staring, you could try talking
to her?” he hazards elbowing his friend.

Ushijima starts out of his haze, eyes narrowing in minor
annoyance but he doesn’t reply, merely turns and continues on his way as though
the whole interaction never happened. Tendou sighs falling back into step with
the stoic ace, continuing to chide him about telling you how he feels.

I think I felt my
heart skip a beat

I’m standing here and
I can hardly breathe

You got me, yeah, you
got me

“There’s nothing to tell,” his baritone voice proclaims but
Tendou cuts off further protest with a laugh.

“Oh sure, like you haven’t been half stalking her for the
better part of the year!”

Ushijima glares again but Tendou is unaffected. He pokes him
in the chest. “It’s our third year, you should make a move!”

A few days later, Ushijima is again walking through the
halls but this time he’s sans Tendou who had to stay behind to work on a group
project. Just as he rounds a corner, he sees you descending the stairs, a pile
of precariously stacked books blocking your vision. He hurries his steps when
he sees you’re about to miss one.

With a startled yelp, you release the books as your foot
hits air instead of what you presumed to be the ground floor, realizing too
late you over shot the last stair and are on your way to a nasty fall. The
sound of books crashing to the floor surround you but you’re too caught up in
the feel of someone’s hand in yours to take further notice of it. A sharp tug makes
you wince but you’ll take a shoulder strain over a sprained ankle or bruised
tailbone any day.

Another hand, linked to a strong, powerful arm, wraps around
your waist to hold you better upright and the next moment your eyes are locked
to those of Ushijima Wakatoshi. Your body is tense, heart thundering in your
chest but you’re not sure if it’s solely from the narrow escape of your date
with the ground or the proximity of Shiratorizawa’s ace to your person. His
body is rock solid, a pillar holding you up like you weigh nothing at all.

The way you take my
hand is just so sweet

Wakatoshi can feel his pulse beating erratically, the feel
of you pressed so close to him making his head swim. He’s never felt like this
about anything, not even volleyball if he’s honest. Neither of you seem sure of
what to do so you remain frozen in the moment until he blinks. It’s as if the
spell of stagnation breaks and you’re moving apart in sync, you stammering
apologies and he working to say something more intelligible than “hmm”.

“Thank you so much Ushijima-san, gosh, what a klutz I am,”
you say stooping to begin picking up your burdens.

Ushijima crouches next to you, also picking up books, and
when you smile at him he feels his heart almost stop; he’s never had the full
effect of one of your smiles turned upon him before. Even if its slightly
awkward, it blocks out all the bad of the world for just a moment and he feels
a sense of peace unlike anything before.

And that crooked smile
of yours

It knocks me off my
feet

“It’s no trouble ______-san,” he rumbles, standing as you
do. You reach out to take the books from his hands but he shakes his head. “I’ll
help you carry them.”

You smile again, brighter this time, and he feels a stronger
surge of emotion course through his body. How can something so simple affect
him so much? Together, you walk in silence to the library where you both
deposit the tomes.

“Did you read all of these?” he asks curiously.

You nod your head shyly, tucking a few strands of hair
behind your ear. “I’m kind of an avid reader, tend to get carried away
sometimes,” you admit sheepishly.

Silence descends and Ushijima curses his inability to
communicate more effectively. Up until this point, his one word answers or
short clipped sentences have served him well but he wants to keep talking to
you, to get to know you more than he does.

Oh, I just can’t get
enough

How much do I need to
fill me up

Before he can talk himself out of it he blurts out, “_____-san,
would you like to go out sometime?”

Your eyes go wide in shock, mouth opening and closing but no
sound emerges. Finally, you find your voice and splutter out, “Yes! Yes, I’d
love to go out with you, Ushijima-san!”

He smiles slightly and you feel like butter melting in the
noon day sun. Numbers are exchanged as well as goodbyes, both of you walking
away from the encounter feeling lighter than air and inexplicably happy at just
the knowledge that you’ll be seeing one another again.

Looking at the paper in his hand, Ushijima takes a deep
breath. If this is what it’s like to be in love, he definitely doesn’t mind.

It feels so good, it
must be love

It’s everything that
I’ve been dreaming of

I give up, I give in,
I let go

Let’s begin

Cause no matter what I
do,

Oh (oh)

My heart is filled
with you

I don’t know your time zone so hopefully the box is still open! I’d like to request Kasamatsu with the song “Eyes on Me” by Faye Wong from FFVIII. I really like this song because it gives me warm yet somewhat sad feelings in the heart, and I like her voice. I’d love a bar!au and an old-fashioned theme, thank you!

This is a great song! I love the Final Fantasy series and of
course am a huge fan of its music. I really hope this hits the mark for what
you wanted. Thank you for requesting Kasamatsu, he is one of my absolute
favorite characters!

Eyes on Me by Faye Wong – Kasamatsu

As you take the stage, your eyes roam over the room taking in
the sight of customers sat comfortably in arm chairs or at tables, conversation
murmured as drinks are consumed. Smoke curls up from hand rolled cigarettes and
long stem pipes, the smell of tobacco thick but not unpleasantly so. But
despite the warm familiarity of this place, you’ve begun to feel restless, like
there’s something more you’re supposed to be doing with your life. And so,
tonight will be your last performance, though no one knows that but you.

My last night here for
you

Same old songs, just
once more

My last night here
with you?

Maybe yes, maybe no

The music begins and you take a deep breath, noting heads
turning their attention to you as you begin to sing but your eyes don’t really
see them, wandering to a man who has been coming here for a little time. He
sits cast in shadow but even without his crest and uniform, you know he’s the
same one though his garb is different now. Normally he’d be cladded in blue and
white splendor, a captain’s crest at the shoulder clasp of his cape. But tonight,
he’s opted for darker shades, greys and black settling against him to blend him
into the back ground or at least that’s his attempt. But he’s caught your attention
on more than one occasion and you can’t keep your eyes from his form. There’s
something about him that draws you in.

He barely ever looks at you, casting glances every so often
you think but it’s hard to tell when his face is shrouded in the dark. A drink
is usually with him, small and light but it acts as his place holder, a reason
for him to sit as long as he likes without distraction or input from those
around him. Previously to this evening, he’s been flanked by members of the
royal guard but tonight he’s come alone.

I saw you smiling at
me

Was it real, or just
my fantasy?

You’d always be there
in the corner

Of this tiny little
bar

Your song continues on, your mouth and vocal chords acting
on auto pilot and you’re trying to focus on the whole room but your eyes
continually flick to his position. He hasn’t moved, just stares at his glass in
deep contemplation. The lighting of a lamp above his head casts a sudden light
upon his countenance and you have to stop yourself from gasping; there’s
something about the expression on his face that pulls your heart strings
violently.

Darling, so there you
are

With that look on your
face

As if you’re never
hurt

As if you’re never
down

Shall I be the one for
you

Who pinches you softly
but sure?

If frown is shown,
then

I will know that you
are no dreamer

An unexpected pain shoots through you and you have to
stop yourself from walking over in the middle of your performance. Suddenly the
words aren’t coming easy and you have to work hard to finish what you’ve
started. At your faltered, a little off note that you quickly recover, you see
his head finally lift and his eyes set on you. It’s the longest he’s looked at
you, but now you’re too shy to return the gaze, embarrassed that it’s your
mistake which has drawn his full attention.

I kind of liked it
your way

How you shyly placed
your eyes on me

Did you ever know

That I had mine on
you?

You look away, smiling brightly though the melody of your
song is melancholy.

When it ends, you take your bow quickly, shooting back up
only to catch a glimpse of him exiting through the side door. With hurried
movements, you hustle after him, the need to speak to him too strong to ignore
any more.

Bursting out the door, you see him just about to mount his
steed and call out, “Wait, please wait!”

He starts, turning his attention to you even as his boot
remains set in the stirrup. Slowly he places it down, but maintains a hold on
the reigns of his beautiful white horse.

“Yes, may I help you?” he asks. His voice is rough and deep
but somehow soothing to your ears.

“Please, may I know your name?” you inquire.

His eyes widen, a faint flush overtaking his hue
unexpectedly but he clears his throat and replies, “Yukio Kasamatsu.”

“You…you’re the captain of the royal guard, are you not?”
you breathe.

His body stiffens, eyes closing as if in momentary pain but
he rallies quickly, setting his face back to its grim expression so quickly
you begin to wonder if you imagined his reaction. Brusquely he says, “Former, m’lady.”

The pain in your heart returns, deep and tragic and you
blush as the impulse to hold him floods your person. Despite his impassivity,
you feel waves of pain and frustration rolling from him increasing your want to
drive it away but you don’t know how to. You don’t even know him and yet you’re
here, standing outside in the middle of the night wanting nothing more than to
throw your arms around him.

You settle for stepping nearer. His body is still wound
tight and if you did not know any better you would say he may even be wary of
you. The placement of your hand on his makes him flinch but as you close your
fingers more firmly he does not withdraw.

“Why?” One word, but so bold. This is none of your business!
What happened to the filter between your brain and your mouth?

He swallows once, eyes burning into yours and you feel your
face heating up under the power of his scrutiny. “Because there’s something I
need to do.”

You clench tighter, moving closer to place your other hand against
his chest. Despite his warmth you feel him tremble, the beating of his heart somewhat
erratic and you don’t know if it’s from you or from the knowledge of what’s
lying before him on his journey.

So let me come to you

Close as I want to be

Close enough for me

To feel your heart
beating fast

And stay there as I
whisper

How I love your
peaceful eyes on me

Did you ever know

That I had mine on
you?

The next words tumble from your mouth with little care for
the implications or consequences. “Take me with you.”

Yukio’s eyes go wide and for the first time he allows
himself to touch you. The grip of his hand on your shoulder is strong and you doubt
he knows how firmly he’s squeezing but you endure the pain because until now
you’d not known the need of his touch. To lose it will mean more pain than what
you experience under the pressure of his hold.

“Why?”

“Because this is something I need to do,” you whisper, eyes
filling with tears for reasons you don’t understand.

Yukio stares hard at you. He knows this is a bad idea, you’ll
most likely only become a liability but he can’t tear away from your gaze. It’s
like you have him hypnotized and he wonders briefly if you may be a sorceress.

He makes a decision. “You’ll need to change, where I’m going
is no place for this refinery,” he intones, tugging briefly at the sleeve of
your dress.

A smile, genuine this time, splits your lips and you lean
forward impulsively kissing his cheek. Crimson floods his face but you’re
already turning away to prepare for departure. In little time you return, ensconced
in black pants, purple long sleeve shirt and proper riding boots, a bow and
arrow slung over your shoulder and quiver upon your back.

Yukio’s face betrays his surprise at your appearance.

Darling, so share with
me

Your love if you have
enough

Your tears if you’re
holding back

Or pain if that’s what
it is

How can I let you know

I’m more than the
dress and the voice

Just reach me out,
then

You will know that you
are not dreaming

“What, did you think all I could do is sing?” you ask
cheekily and he chuckles.

“Forgive my ignorance…” he trails off, and you supply, “F/N,
L/N, daughter of the town fletcher.”

In a quick motion, Yukio mounts his horse, hand coming down
to assist you to do as well. You take it, the flesh of his palm burning into
yours but the fire ignites something deep within your soul and you know; this
is who you’re meant to be with going to do what you’re meant to do, whatever
that may be.

Me again (*^‿^*) can I have Kise for the song Just Give Me A Reason please? Angst but with a sort of happy ending, not fluffy but in a sort of “contented for now” type thing, does that make sense? congrats to 1,000 followers!! ^^

It totally makes sense hun, this is a great song for a
non-perfect ending. Enjoy!

Give me a Reason by Pink – Kise

The sound of the front door opening and closing catches your
attention but you don’t open your eyes. You feel Ryota enter the room, the one
floor board that always squeaks announcing his presence but still you don’t
open your eyes. It feels like there’s a weight on your chest pulling pain in
from every angle of your body as he sinks onto the mattress next to you but
makes no move to snuggle to your back. It’s as though you’re living in the same
home but not existing together.

Since when did your relationship come to this?

A part of you knows, this is not all Ryota’s fault, it can’t
be but that doesn’t stop you from wondering what you did wrong, what he did
wrong, to end up in a place so far away from each other. You can’t even remember
the last time you laughed sincerely together.

Over two years ago, when the two of you first met, you’d
been quite a mess, a previous relationship doing a number on your heart. But
Ryota…he was so easy to fall for. Charming and charismatic, with a sincere heart
and willing ear to listen he’d swept you off your feet without really trying. Your
girlfriends had warned you not to get too attached to fast, to beware using him
like a rebound because that would not be fair to either of you. And you tried,
you really tried to remain just friends but every touch, every look, everything
about Ryota drew you in to him until you were head over heels.

Right from the start

You were a thief, you
stole my heart

And I your willing
victim

And it seemed he’d fallen for you, grateful to be needed, to
be taken seriously though he often worked over time to make you laugh. For the
first time in a very long while, he felt useful for more than just basketball.

His honeyed words lifted your despondent attitude but not
once did you ever feel they were frivolous. And he never treated you like a
project to fix, just someone who needed help putting the pieces back together;
he knew you still had to do most of the heavy lifting yourself.

I let you see the
parts of me, that weren’t all that pretty

And with every touch
you fixed them

When he finally kissed you, it was like coming home. The
warmth of his breath, the feel of his soft lips against yours and the way he
clung to you, like you were the most important person in his world, made you
feel lightheaded and giddy.

That was a year ago and now, here you were, lying with your
backs to one another, barely a word spoken throughout the day.

Rolling to your back, you stare at the ceiling and sigh.
This can’t go on, you can’t go on like this, stuck in a limbo you have no idea
how to navigate. Why you’ve let it get this bad you don’t know for sure but can
only speculate that it’s because of fear; fear of losing him should you seem
too needy, too clingy despite all the effort Ryota poured into helping you
mend.

Turning further, your eyes graze over his form, shoulders
rising and falling to the rhythm of his steady breath.  How can he be so unaffected by what’s going
on? Doesn’t he care?

Just give me a reason,
just a little bit’s enough

Just a second we’re
not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again

It’s in the stars,
it’s been written in the scars on our hearts

We’re not broken just
bent, and we can learn to love again

“Ryota,” you whisper, “are you asleep?”

“Hmmmm?” he mumbles turning on his back. His eyes blink open
and shift to look at you. “What’s up ______-cchi?”

“What are we doing?” you ask.

He furrows his brow, rotating to face you as he props up on
his elbow. “What do you mean?”

Sighing, you run a hand through your hair, closing your eyes
before answering, “What are we doing in this relationship anymore? Do you…do
you even still want this?”

“Of course I do, how could you ask me that?” he replies
quickly, sitting up in his astonishment.

I’m sorry I don’t
understand

Where all of this is
coming from

I thought that we were
fine (Oh we had everything)

“Because we barely speak to each other anymore!” You sit up
as well, flicking on the light so you can see one another more clearly. He
blinks rapidly under its harsh rays as you go on, “It’s like…it’s like we don’t
know how to be together anymore
Ryota. I just…I need more and I don’t know what to do!”

He takes your hand. “______cchi, you’re being silly. We’ve just
been busy, that’s all.” He reaches out to touch your face but you jerk away,
standing up in a flurry of motion.

“That’s not just it, Ryota! I feel like you’re suppressing how
you really feel.”

His face is full of confusion which just irritates you
further. “Do you know,” you continue, “the other night when I tried to snuggle
up to you, you muttered something about me being too clingy? That you needed
your space?”

“Are you sure that wasn’t a dream? Because there’s no way I
would feel like that about you,” he says firmly.

Your head is running
wild again

My dear we still have
everythin’

And it’s all in your
mind (Yeah but this is happenin’)

You’ve been havin’
real bad dreams oh oh

You used to lie so
close to me oh oh

There’s nothing more
than empty sheets between our love, our love

“I was awake!” you snap. “I mean, if that’s how you feel subconsciously,
doesn’t that mean it’s how you truly feel?”

“You’re going to base the future of our relationship that? On something I said when I was
most likely dead to the world?” He stands up, moving around the bed to grip
your shoulders tightly, bright golden eyes burning into yours. “We aren’t
perfect, there is no such thing as a perfect relationship but I want this relationship, I want to be
with you.”

Stray tears flow down your cheeks and you step back. “Ok,
Ryota, I…I do too but,” you take a deep breath, “we need to discuss some things
in order to move forward. You may think there’s nothing wrong but I do and I
want to work on them.”

He runs a hand through his hair, frustration clear on his
face. “______-cchi, I’m tired, you’re tired, we’ve both had long days. Can we
please just table this until at least tomorrow?”

Just give me a reason,
just a little bit’s enough

Just a second we’re
not broken just bent and we can learn to love again

I never stop, you’re
still written in the scars on my heart

You’re not broken just
bent and we can learn to love again

You want to protest, want to get these things aired out so
you can feel like you can sleep peacefully for once but you know he’s right. To
do this here and now will only make things worse and if you’re really honest
with yourself there is too much to deal with in one night. So nodding your
head, you follow him back to be bed.

As the light flicks off, you feel him settling right behind
you, his strong arm wrapping around you securely. It’s a small thing, but it
feels huge and though you know the coming days will be filled with
uncomfortable conversations and probably more tears, it feels just a little
less hopeless than it did before.

Oh we can learn to
love again

Oh we can learn to
love again oh oh

Oh that we’re not
broken just bent and we can learn to love again

I heard you’re doing songfics! Could I have one based on TOKiMONSTA’s song Don’t Call me [feat Yuna] with Aomine’s ex(reader) telling him she doesn’t want to speak with him anymore after he cheated on her with Momoi? Sorry for the angst!

No worries on the angst, it makes things interesting. Thanks for a great song choice, I’ve never heard it before! I hope you like this.

Don’t Call Me (feat Yuna) by TOKiMONSTA – Aomine

Shifting your purse, you pick up an item you think would be
perfect for your boyfriend. A wide smile covers your lips as you take it to the
front to pay. From behind, you don’t notice a pair of sapphire eyes watching
you with keen interest. Purchase made, you stroll out of the establishment none
the wiser that you’ve caught some very unwanted attention.

Later in the evening as your preparing dinner your phone
rings. Without looking at the display, you pick up.

“Hello?”

You almost drop it when Aomine’s smooth voice comes over the
line, “Hey y/n, how’s it going?”

Taking a deep breath, you remove the phone from you ear and
hit the END CALL button without saying a word. It rings again immediately,
Aomine’s face flashing across the screen. Didn’t you delete his number?
Unwilling to deal with him, you move to put the phone on silent but since you
don’t want to miss a call or text from your boyfriend opt to block Aomine’s
number.

Don’t call me no more,
no more

Don’t call me

That works for all of five minutes before it’s ringing
again, this time UNKNOWN popping up. Sighing you text your man, telling him to
just come over when he’s done and turn your phone on silent.

By the time he gets there you have ten missed calls and even
more texts from Aomine telling you to answer the phone, that he needs to talk
to you. Rolling your eyes, you delete all the messages and focus on spending
time with the man who actually deserves your time.

Hey, I never thought
this love could go so wrong

And so it did and you
know that I moved on

I never heard from you
for so long

Now I’m glowing up,
you’re blowing up my phone

In his room, Aomine frowns at the screen. He knows he fucked
up royally, has known it for a while but true to his stubborn and prideful
nature has ignored those feelings. But he couldn’t ignore how his heart lurched
at the sight of you today. You looked even more beautiful that he remembered.
The smile on your face reminded him of all the times you given it to him, of
the nights spent with you in bed, of the love you’d poured into him.

In that moment, he missed you like he never had before and in
his arrogance thought it possible you may miss him too. He views your ignoring
him as simply part of the game and Aomine Daiki does not back down from a
challenge.

I know you’re tryna
see if I still care that I miss you

Know you never thought
that I could be this cool

Know you didn’t think
that I could be this cruel

I don’t need to be
mean but I’m just gonna ignore you

The next evening, you’re snuggled up on the couch watching a
movie. A knock at the door has you pausing the film to answer it. But when you
look through the peephole an involuntary gasp escapes your lips; what the hell
is Aomine doing here?

You try to pretend you’re not home but his voice cuts
through the door like a knife. “Y/N, I know you’re there, open the door.”

Sighing, you decide it best to nip this in the bud quickly.
Whipping open the door, you glare up at Aomine, one hand on your hip and the
other on the door ready to slam it in his face, which you do after snapping
out, “Fuck off, Aomine.”

You haven’t taken one step before he’s pounding on the door
again. “Y/N! What the hell?” When you don’t answer he pounds again. “I’m not
going anywhere until you talk to me!”

Funny how when you see
you’re glowing up

Wanna try and make it
up

Suddenly just showing
up

Overcome with anger, you open the door roughly, eyes
flashing. “Talk? You wanna talk?” What
should we talk about first?” You tick off on your fingers as you rant.

“How you started pulling away and wouldn’t talk to me about
what was bothering you?”

Where were you when I
was crying?

Left me on the floor
just dying

“How you ignored my calls and texts while I was on
assignment?”

Can’t come to the
phone, realign

Now you wanna be my
friend but I ain’t buying it

“Oh wait, I know why you didn’t, because you were too busy
fucking that pink-haired twit!”

And I see you found a
new love

And you show it, all
your friends gotta know it

Aomine swallows once, sweat beading on his brow; he’s never
seen you this angry before. He knows it’s for good reason but it’s still
shocking.

“You never appreciated me, Aomine. You never gave a shit
about everything I did for you, all the bull I put up with being your
girlfriend. Honestly, I’m surprised I lasted as long as I did.”

I was there to build
you up when everything was a mess

I was dedicated to you

I cared about nothing
but you, but you

He opens his mouth but you put up a hand to stem whatever
inane excuse he plans on spouting. “You know what? It doesn’t matter anymore,
Aomine. Because we’re done. I’m over you, I’ve moved on and I’m not looking
back. So, lose my number, forget where I live and if you see me on the street,
forget you even know me.”

I’ve been there before
so I know when you’re just faking it

I can’t believe I
stayed with you, the pain that I’ve been taking in

“Aomine, what the hell are you doing here?”

Wakamatsu’s voice draws both your and the blue haired male’s
attention away from one another for a moment.

Kosuke’s eyes move to your face, startled to see you looking
so upset. “What’s wrong, y/n?” he asks shouldering past Aomine to grip your
hand.

Shooting your eyes back to Aomine’s face you snap, “Nothing,
this asshole was just leaving.”

Aomine’s fists clench tightly, the desire to deck his former
team mate strong. Wakamatsu sees the flash in his eyes, narrowing his own. “You
heard the lady, dick, get movin’.”

Slamming his fist against the wall, Aomine pivots on his
heel, stomping down the hall and out the doors.

Don’t call me no more,
no more

Don’t call me

Don’t call me no more

Zip-lock – LIT. The lyrics suggest a situation in the relationship that I think it’s interesting to explore! Kagami needs a second chance, he doesn’t want to lose his love of his life. Thanks!

One of my favorite bands from when I was in high school so this was definitely a fun throw back for me! I hope you enjoy!

Zip-lock – by LIT – Kagami

“Kagami-kun,” Kuroko pants, their run having almost done him
in this time, “why wasn’t y/n-chan at the game last week?”

The red head grunts an unintelligible answer that sounds
something like you being busy but his best friend knows he’s not telling the
whole story.

“That can’t just be it, she’s always at every game, no
matter how busy she is, so what’s really going on?”

“Why do you even care?” Kagami snaps, rubbing his face
roughly with a towel, throwing it in the dirty bin and picking up his basketball.

Kuroko sighs. “Because she’s the best thing to ever happen
to you and you’re going to blow it if you don’t start paying attention.” His
voice is calm and quiet but his eyes are hard; he’s serious.

Kagami doesn’t reply to Kuroko’s observation. Damn him and
his perceptiveness. It’s not like Kagami doesn’t know he’s been screwing up
left and right. He just doesn’t know how to balance everything he’s responsible
for in his life right now. Ever since winning the Winter Cup, he’s been working
even harder because he knows the defending Seirin’s title is going to be ten
times more difficult than earning it; the remaining Generation of Miracles are
going to be out for blood. Not to mention, they’ve all better assimilated into
their respective teams (save perhaps for Aomine) which means their weaknesses
will be harder to exploit.

Thoughts consumed with strategy and skill improvement and
struggling to stay on top of his grades, he’s allowed the relationship he
shares with you to fall by the way side. It was subtle, a canceled date here
and there, no time to get together after practice, at least not properly. The
two of you usually ended up studying together after which he would collapse in
bed, barely conscious to your leaving.

I’ve been stealing

Time where I can get
it from

I’ve been losing

Grip on what I used to
hold

As he leaves the gym he sees you standing a bit away talking
to Furihata, his fellow second year blushing slightly as you giggle at something
he said. Insecurity floods Kagami’s body like poison. He knows it’s stupid, you’ve
become a friend to all the guys which is one of the many things Kagami
appreciates about you. Team play had never really matter that much to him
before coming to Seirin and the fact that his girlfriend gets along with all
his teammates is amazing.

You’ve even helped make some of their meals during training
camp so they aren’t afflicted by Riko’s cooking.

He watches longer, the curve of your smile, the lilt in your
laugh, a light in your eyes he hasn’t seen in many weeks. Just what the hell is
someone like him doing with someone like you anyway? Kuroko is right, you’re
the best thing to ever happen to him, but now he has to ask: is he the best for
you?

I don’t want you

To be better off
without me

“Y/N,” he calls and you look up. You don’t exactly lose your
smile but it definitely diminishes slightly.

You finish up your conversation with the point guard, he
turning to wave goodbye to both you and Kagami.

As you approach, the ace really looks at you. You look
slightly worn down, eyes half closed with dark circles under them. Even the
pallor of your skin has changed, falling a little paler than he remembers.

I’ve been watching you

Sleeping with a
troubled look

I’m sure your bad
dreams

Are probably all about
me

Looking up, you’re about to ask if he’s ready to go when
Kagami drops his bag and ball, letting the latter roll away to wherever it may
as he wraps his arms around your waist and hoists you up against his body. Your
startled exclamation is silenced by Kagami’s lips on yours. Normally not one
for PDA, his cheeks burn in the knowledge that Furihata is in full view of this
moment but he doesn’t care; you’re too important to care about that.

When you part, he meets your eyes, grunting out, “I know I
haven’t been the best boyfriend and I can’t even lie and say I’ve been trying
all that hard.” He cards his fingers your through hair, “But I don’t want to
lose you.”

Your silence and averted gaze is proof enough to him that he’s
hit the nail on the head; you were thinking about leaving him. Not that he
could blame you but he isn’t going to give up that easily.

“I…I really love you,” he confesses, “I just…help me?”

If I could get another
chance

I’d put it in a ziploc
bag

And keep it in my
pocket

Keep it in my pocket

Keep it in my pocket

Tell me

When I start to blow
it would you

Show me

What I need to do
before you

Hate me

I could never live
with that so

Tell me

Before you’re better
off without me

After a moment’s consideration, you nod, leaning in to kiss
him again. He hugs you tighter, squeezing every ounce of adoration and love he
can into his hold. Your hand against his chest, he’s sure you can feel the
dredges of fear flow out in favor of relief that you’ve consented to give his
sorry ass one more chance to prove himself and he has no intention of letting
you down again.

Wrong- by MAX for some public smutty fun with our favorite salt shaker

I’m pretty sure I picked the right salty boy, lol.

Wrong- by MAX – Tsukishima

Tsukishima hisses as your lips caress his neck, teeth
nipping the sensitive flesh. “You’re insatiable,” he grumbles and feels you
chuckle.

“Maybe,” you purr pulling back to look into his golden hues,
“but you can’t deny this excites you.” You punctuate the claim by palming the front
of his jeans, his erection straining against the firm material. He curses, head
falling back against the wall of the secluded corner you’ve pushed him into.

Your hand trails up and over the edge of his waist band,
pushing roughly past his boxers to grasp his length.

Oh that girl, she want it, yeah she need it

She
a bad mother, and I believe it

A choked gasp falls out of his open mouth, eyes narrowing as
you stroke him. “Come on, Kei, let’s see how far I can take you until we get
caught.”

She says “Come closer and don’t lock the door”

She doesn’t care who sees anymore

It’s better when it feels wrong

He grabs your shoulders, managing to pivot around and slam
you up against the wall. “You’re gonna regret starting this shit here,” he
growls, biting your neck firmly making you cry out in surprise. He plunges two
fingers into your mouth. “Keep quiet,” he orders, licking his lips when you
begin sucking on his digits. He grins. “Hmmmm, that’s a much better occupation
for your mouth.”

You frown, nipping the tip of his fingers prompting him to
tug your hair.

“Undo my pants,” he commands, light flashing through his
gaze.

From down the hall, you can hear the murmur of voices, your
bodies only partially hidden by the thick curtains. Your fingers shake as you
work to get Kei free of the confines of his pants. “Nervous?” he teases and you
shake your head back and forth, mouth still working over his fingers. “Excited?”

At your nod, he lets out a huff of breath. “You’re such a
freak,” he asserts.

Pulling back, you let go of his fingers, “Says the boy who’s
going to fuck me in the middle of his brother’s engagement party.”

Kei grabs your head, tugging you forward to kiss you
harshly, his tongue slicing through your mouth making you moan, but this time
you keep your volume low. His hands trail down to the hem of your skirt,
lifting it over your hips before hooking his fingers into the edge of your
panties.

“You’re already soaked,” he pants against your lips, “you
want me this bad?”

Oh that girl, she want it, yeah she need it

“Stop talking and just fuck me already, Kei,” you quip back,
tugging his bottom lip between your teeth.

“So vulgar, how did I end up with such a terrible person as
a girlfriend?”

She a bad mother, and I believe it

“Because you’re just as bad,” you whisper then kiss him
again.

Just as he’s about to move aside the fabric covering your core
and shove in, a voice nearer than you’d prefer for your compromised position
sounds. “You know, you’re lucky it’s me who found you and not your parents.”

You lift your eyes and find yourself looking into Saeko’s,
an ironic smile on her face.

“Save it for the bedroom kiddies,” she chuckles, patting Kei
on the back before turning to head back to the main room.

Putting yourselves back together, you make your way back
towards the festivities, both slightly flushed.

While on your way home, you reach over and grab Kei through his pants.

“I can’t wait anymore,” you coo.

He sends you a glare but stops the car anyway, roughly tugging you into the back seat to finish what you started at the party.

She says “Pull over and don’t lock the doors”

She doesn’t care who sees anymore

It’s better when it feels wrong

Hello! (♥ó㉨ò)ノ♡ I’d like to request one! ‘Leave your lover by Sam Smith’ with Tendou or ‘I’m not the only one by Sam Smith’ with Bokuto. I couldn’t pick one so I’d love to let you decide! Thank you! ❤

Thank you for requesting and I really hope I did justice for
your song and character choice!

Leave Your Lover By Sam Smith – Tendou

Sighing heavily, Tendou watches from across the room as you
make your way to the bar, eager to gather more libations. The past few months
have been tough on him, having to leave everything he’s known for the great big
bad world. Even though it was his decision to stop after high school, he misses
volleyball. He misses his friends a lot more than he thought he would for
telling himself he prefers to be a loner.

That’s all bullshit and he knows it.

He ended up coming to this school just because you’re here.
Because he’s been in love with you all through high school and a part of him
always hoped you’d “wake up” and see what was right in front of you.

Don’t have direction,
I’m just rolling down this road

Waiting for you to
bring me in from out the cold

But it wasn’t too long after you’d both settled into your
new routines that you added an unexpected element to yours; a boyfriend. And that’s
when the insomnia started for him.

You’ll never know the
endless nights, the rhyming of the rain

Or how it feels to
fall behind and watch you call his name

Tendou should have left then or at least pulled away a bit
to give himself room to get used to this, but he’s a masochist, choosing to
stay close to the girl he loves while she wastes her time on someone who doesn’t
deserve her. And he knows the guy doesn’t because most of the conversations you
and he have about the boyfriend consist of you either complaining about
problems or excusing them away.

And lately his thoughts have been consumed with asking you
to come to your senses and see this guy just isn’t worthy of you.

Leave your lover,
leave him for me

“Things are getting better,” you comment sitting down.

He hums in acknowledgment of your words, though he’s only
half listening at this point, taking a long swig of his beer.

“I think after this semester we’ll be more settled. It’s challenging
with our schedules, you know? Like, he has practice so much and family
obligations. It’s just hard but we’ll get through it.”

Tendou doesn’t know if you’re trying to convince him or
yourself at this point. And he really shouldn’t be annoyed with you; as your self-proclaimed
best friend he should be a supportive, listening ear but he’s reaching the end
of his tether and it’s about to snap.

Another beer lands before him, Tendou sending a look of
thanks to the waitress who winks at him. He barely catches it, but you see it
and grin.

“Just think, Satori-kun, someday we’ll be sitting here or
somewhere similar toasting to one another because we finally found true love,”
you say, giggling slightly under the influence of the large pint you’ve already
consumed as you raise your hand for another.

We sit in bars and
raise our drinks to growing old

Oh, I’m in love with
you and you will never know

He chuckles mirthlessly. Tendou doesn’t know if he’s being
over dramatic, but he really feels in the depth of his heart that he will never
find a more perfect girl for him than you, so even the thought of anyone else
sets his teeth on edge. But he won’t tell you that, you don’t need that burden.

But if I can’t have
you I’ll walk this life alone

Spare you the rising
storms and let the rivers flow

The sound of your cell phone ringing pierces through the
hubbub of the bar. When your eyes light up, he knows it’s him.

“Hi sweetie,” you coo into the phone, sending a bright smile
to Tendou that makes his stomach flip. But the next moment, he’s frowning,
watching your face begin to fall as you listen to whatever your “perfect prince”
is saying.

“But we had it planned for months!” you protest, tone
bordering on whining. A few tears prickle the edges of your eyes, your grip on
the phone tightening. “I understand that but can’t he make an exception?” More
tears, some sliding down your cheeks and Tendou feels his own fist clench in
anger; what the hell is saying to make you cry?

“Fine, yeah, whatever,” you say breathlessly, snapping your
phone down and shoving it in your purse.

There’s silence between you and Tendou, your eyes cast down
to the table.

“Sorry, Satori-kun, he-“

“Leave him,” Tendou says firmly and your head shoots up,
eyes wide.

“Wha-?”

He takes your hand, stemming your speech and repeats slowly,
“Leave him,” his eyes filled with the truth of his affections.

Pack up and leave
everything

Don’t you see what I
can bring

You shake your head a little, unclear what he means. “Satori-kun,
I appreciate your concern but-“

He interrupts again, “This has nothing to do with concern and
everything to do with the fact that I’m in love with you!”

Can’t keep this
beating heart at bay

He feels you jump at his words. “I never told you before because
I was too damn scared, but I’m telling you now and I know I’m better for you that he is. So please,” he stands, walking
slowly around the table to stand before you on your stool, hand cupping the
side of your face. “Let me show you what it means to be someone’s everything.”

Set my midnight sorrow
free

I will give you all of
me

Just leave your lover,
leave him for me

Tendou sees you swallow, your body quivering a bit as you
look up at him. The slightest lift of your head sends his coursing down to
plant his lips against yours, his arm wrapping around your waist. You sigh into
the kiss, body releasing its tension as he holds you upright.

When you part, he can see you’re still crying but the light
shining in the center of your irises gives him hope that they are tears of joy.

You confirm his suspicions when you whisper, “Finally.”
