Kurodai Weekend Day 2: Jealousy

A roar of laughter made him pause just inside the cafeteria doors, recognizing who it came from but surprised by the volume projected from it. His eyes scanned the crowded space until he spotted Daichi sitting across from Bokuto at a table, his face red as he wiped the tears from his eyes. He waved his hand in front of him, trying to get Bokuto to pause in his story but to no avail. Daichi was barely able to gulp a fresh breath before a fresh bout of giggles assaulted him. Bokuto’s back was to Kuroo, but he could see him straighten and wiggle in his seat like a preening peacock.
It was a scene that should have made him laugh, or rush forward to join in on the fun. Instead, Kuroo was filled with a sickening dread that felt like the devil himself was grabbing hold of his ankle and yanking him into hell.

Amazing piece, please read it, please kudo it, please comment, please reblog.

For KuroDai Mid-Birthday Weekend Day 2: Gods AU | Jealousy AU

Note: Under the ‘of guides and guardians’ and ‘something like wonder’ universe.

Daichi packs his things in
record time as soon as the professor dismissed them, and is out the door after
a hasty goodbye to some of his classmates.

He’s set to meet Kuroo for
today, as he promised he would take him to the shopping district and give him a
tour of the town. His only class for the day should have ended earlier, but his
professor went overtime and then one of his thesis advisee asked a bit of their
time to answer a survey to which he couldn’t get out of.

In short, he’s running late.
And with no means of communication to tell Kuroo so, his only chance is to run
really fast in hopes he can make it to the bus station and take the scheduled
trip that would arrive in 8 minutes. It’s not for the first time that Daichi is
thankful for the years he’d spent as an athlete because the only thing helping
him deftly avoid other students and colliding into walls and posts is the sense
and instincts he’d honed during the years of playing volleyball.

He’s almost near the gates and
is already rejoicing internally when he accidentally bumps into someone. Hard.
The collision causing him to fall back on his behind.

For KuroDai Weekend Day 1: Celebrity AU / Hanahaki AU

“Kuroo,” Yaku puts
his hands on Kuroo’s shoulder, looking him in the eyes with seriousness. “Your
photographer for today is a well-known photographer, alright? We’re lucky to
work with him. You are lucky to work
with him. It’s an honor, a chance of a lifetime. So please, I beg of you, don’t
mess this up,” he articulates carefully, punctuating his words with a dig of
his fingers on Kuroo’s shoulders.

“Yaku,”
Kuroo also puts his hands on Yaku’s shoulder, a little heavily, enough to make
anyone else wince but not him, apparently. “You gotta chill, alright? I
promise, I won’t.” He grins and pats Yaku’s shoulders, but it doesn’t ease the
frown on his manager’s face. Really, he deserves more faith than this.

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!!

tensuga and either situations 6 or sentences 8 or 12 :)

Prompt #6: In bed at 2am, blissfully drowsy

Sentence #8: “You’re lucky you’re cute because your taste in music is awful”

Tendou falls on his face on the bed, letting out a long satisfied sigh. It’s 2:00 AM, his ears are ringing and he should have taken off his clothes before succumbing to the temptation of lying down for “just a minute”.

“You get eyeliner on that comforter and I’ll kill you.”

Tendou snorts but forces himself to roll to his back, head dipping over the edge of the bed turning the whole world—and Suga—upsidedown; which is fitting, seeing as the silver-haired male has turned his world topsy-turvy ever since the day they toppled into each other on the ice rink.

What a way to meet your boyfriend.

Suga’s trying to scowl but it’s hard when Tendou has that dopey smile on his face. He rolls his eyes instead, huffing, “You’re lucky you’re cute because your taste in music is awful.”

Tendou merely sticks out his tongue, blood still rushing to his head; “Don’t give me that, I saw those sexy hips shaking to the beat.”

Suga doesn’t protest further, telling himself he’s too tired to bother. “Come on!” He claps his hands, then tugs on Tendou’s wrist; “Shower before bed, you stink.”

“Sugaaaa,” Tendou whines, “I’m too tired.”

Suga cocks an eyebrow; “You plan on sleeping in those skin-tight leather pants? Be my guest, but don’t come crying to me when you have a rash on your junk and can’t fuck.”

“So mean,” Tendou whines again, softer this time, as he forces himself off the mattress.

“Less protest, more… just get ready for bed ya nutcase.”

“Is that your way of saying I drive you crazy?” Tendou teases, wincing as he rolls his pants off; they really do stick something fierce.

“Only in days ending in “Y,” Suga calls over the sound of the shower, “now get in here and pay me back for subjecting my ears to that nonsense!”

KageHina prompt 28 sentence 15

Prompt #28: Love confession

Sentence #15: “If you think I don’t feel anything for you, then you’re more stupid than I thought.”

“Ne, Kageyama, you know what I wish?”

Kageyama didn’t bother with a verbal reply, merely grunted to indicate he heard Hinata’s question.

“I wish I’d get confessed to. Tanaka-senpai and Nishinoya-senpai do all the time. I’ve yet to get even one.”

Kageyama turned his fierce dark blue eyes in him; “What the hell are you talking about, baka?”

Hinata frowned; “What? It would be nice to have someone feel something for me—“

If you think I don’t feel anything for you, then you’re more stupid than I thought!”

Kageyama’s interruption left them both slack jawed and blushing for nearly a full minute before Hinata stammered, “Bu…But I thought you didn’t even like me!”

“Huh?!” Kageyama took two steps closer. “How could you possibly think that, you idiot!”

“That’s how!” Hinata shouted back. “You’re always insulting me, calling me names, acting like I annoy you.”

“You do!” Kageyama grabbed him by the shirt, tugging him closer. A bit more quietly he said, “But that doesn’t mean I don’t also have feelings for you.”

Hinata met the fierce glare head on as he always did; “Prove it, then.”

When Kageyama kissed him, it left no more room for doubt.

Tsukishima x Hinata. Prompt 29 -rubs hands together- sentence number 9

Prompt #29: Breaking up

Sentence #9 “I wish I never met you.”

“I can’t do this anymore. I can’t keep wondering if something’s wrong. I can’t keep wringing my hands and pulling my hair out and questioning whether you want me! ” Hinata’s flushed face looks up at him, his eyes blazing as much as they are tear drowned. “I love you so much but I can’t tell if you care Kei and it’s killing me!” He takes a deep breath, saying more quietly, defeated, “I… I can’t be with you anymore.”

Tsukishima swallows the lump in his throat. He could fight back, try to persuade; fuck, a part of him feels compelled to beg Hinata to take back his words.

But his pride burns those words to ash and what comes out is vitriol; “You can’t tell I care? All I’ve ever done since you blundered your way into my life is fucking care! Volleyball, our friends, our family, you. Just because I don’t fawn, just because I don’t swoon, just because I don’t say a lot doesn’t mean I don’t care! How could you have been with me this long and not understood me at all!”

He’s crying now, can feel the wetness on his cheeks and Hinata’s stunned expression makes him wonder if he’s actually never done so in front of him before. Probably not.

Well, it’s too little too late on both their parts.

He grabs his jacket, pulling it on hard enough to strain a seam or two. The keys in his pocket jangle and he extracts them, wrenching lose the key of their shared apartment and flings it against the wall. “I wish I never met you,” he sneers then storms out the door and out of Hinata’s life forever.

OHOHOHOOHOHH!!! For your Two-part drabble game could I request Matsukawa & Hanamaki with scenario #10, with sentence #12?? Thanks in advance darling!~

Scenario #10: After a near-death experience.

Sentence #12: “If you’re so bored, I have other ideas on how to pass the time…"

I modified the phrasing of the sentence to fit the scene. Hope you enjoy! It’s my first time writing Hanamaki, so I hope I did him justice!

Matsukawa scoffed at the blood on his suit. “If we survive this, you’re buying me new threads,” he grunted to Hanamaki as he reloaded his gun.

“What? Why? Just get it dry cleaned!” the pink haired male snapped, trying to get a clean shot and nearly getting a bullet to the head for his troubles.

“It’s white, dumbass! The best they’ll be able to do with it is turn it part pink and while that may be your favorite color, it isn’t mine!”

Hanamaki pouted, raising his gun to pick off one of the punks that had managed to get behind their safe zone;

“Shut up, you love pink.”

“Could you not fire so close to my ear?”

“Oh my mistake, next time I’ll just let you take a bullet to the back instead, asshole.”

Matsukawa opened his mouth to retort only to snap it shut when he felt a bullet graze his temple. Ok, maybe they really should start paying attention. His eyes, though appearing half closed, didn’t miss the movement to his right and he fired off three shots, a satisfying scream of agony indicative of hitting his target.

Hanamaki huffed, “You know, if you were so bored, I had other ideas on how to pass the time.”

“Oh, such as?” Matsukawa asked, cocking one of his ridiculously attractive eyebrows.

“Stealing cars, I don’t know… maybe dancing?”

Matsukawa chuckled, reloaded and fired again. “I don’t know, this feels sorta like a dance.”

“Yeah, dancing with death,” Hanamaki snapped, taking note they were really getting surrounded now.

Matsukawa shrugged; “Like we’d have it any other way. Just another day in the life, right?”

Hanamaki nodded; “Let’s just hope we live to be bored again.”

“The next time you two morons pull a stunt like that, I’ll kill you myself,” Iwaizumi snapped before slamming the door of Matsukawa’s room.

After a beat of silence, he smirked at Hanamaki; “So, last night you mentioned dancing…”

Hi there :D How about this for the drabble game? Kuroo Tetsurou x Yaku Morisuke. Situation #27 Seeing each other for the first time in a while. Sentence #28 “If I kissed you right now, what would you do?”

This is not happening. It absolutely, positively is not happening. How could anyone ever think that he would be the “perfect date” for him? Yaku considers bolting but those golden eyes are too quick and catch sight of him, wearing this stupid red collared shirt so that he would stand out in the crowd.

“Well this is a surprise,” Kuroo purrs–actually fucking purrs.

“Uh huh, remind me to write in a complaint to the developers of that asinine software,” Yaku snaps.

“Morisuke, you wound me! At least we’re matched with someone we have some things in common with!”

“We never agree on anything!”

Kuroo flashes that irritating smirk and it makes Yaku want to smack him. “Look, we’re already here, why don’t we just… hang out? We don’t even have to call it a date if you want.”

Yaku is about to tell Kuroo to shove it when he catches just the faintest hint of…worry? Well, they are both new to town, and it’s kind of lonely when you’ve left everything and everyone you’ve known for years behind.

“Fine, but no funny business!”

Kuroo snorts, “Yeah, like that’s gonna happen.”

And so they “hang out”, going to a movie (it takes them nearly an hour to decide which one) and get food (they end up flipping a coin because they can’t reach a mutual decision).

But despite all that, Yaku has to admit at the end of the evening that he’s had a good time. Despite all his maddening annoyances, Kuroo is actually a good date… non-date… whatever. And Yaku finds he doesn’t mind so much that they don’t see eye to eye on everything (anything) because even if he doesn’t agree with Kuroo, the man’s at least intelligent enough to present a convincing argument.

And then Kuroo breaks his ability to think when he says, “Morisuke… if I kissed you right now, what would you do?”

Yaku whips his head up, stopping dead in his tracks and stares at him. But he’s not teasing. He’s completely and utterly serious.

He blurts out a firm “why” and gets the satisfaction of seeing Kuroo ‘Thinks he’s so cool but is really a dork’ Tetsurou blush.

“Wha… No fair! Answering a question with a question!” he whines.

Yaku smirks, rising up on his toes (damn the man for being so tall) and whispers, “Ask me out on a proper date… then we’ll see.” He walks away, leaving a spluttering, cursing Kuroo behind him.

He doesn’t make it home before his phone is ringing, Kuroo’s stupid, handsome face illuminating his screen.

Kuroo/Yachi being set up on a blind date please.

College AU because I’m weak for those. Also, they don’t know each other from high school. Also, I’ve been doing a ton of Role Play lately and I like the back and forth in the perspectives. Hopefully, it works ok here.

Yachi puckers her lips, applying pink lipstick, a bright contrast to the semi-smokey eye with wingtips she’s sporting. She’s being bold tonight, at least as far as she’s concerned. In the reflection, she looks over the soft pastel teal dress, its hem fringed with white lace down to the jet black fleece lined leggings and spike-heeled boots she’s been dying to wear but had nowhere to go in; perfect for a first date… right?

The ever-present butterflies who have taken up permanent residency in her stomach flutter to life; does she look like she’s trying too hard?

Yachi’s been in a box most of her life: sweet, dependable and… boring. At least in her mind. University has been somewhat of an awakening for her, shackles of her life at home falling away leaving room for exploration and experimentation, if only she has the guts to do it.

“A blind date is perfect for that,” Saeko insisted. “He doesn’t know anything’s different.”

Yes, but what if they hit it off? What if he likes her only because she looks like this? Not that she minds looking like this, it’s a look she likes, has been eyeing for some time but never had the nerve to try on herself.

Stop it Hitoka! No psyching yourself out! Put on your jacket, get your purse and get your ass to the cafe!

Yachi listens to the one strong voice in her head, that nearly always sounds like her mother, and puts actions to its demands.

She’ll never know unless she tries.

Kuroo rushes through the cold of the night, willing time to slow down so he’s not late. He’s supposed to be there first, damn it, and all these people on the sidewalk are getting in his way! Granted, he should have left the concert hall earlier but the final run through of the stage lights needed to be done and of course Oikawa would choose tonight to be extra fussy.

He rounds the bend and enters the cafe where they’ve agreed to meet, sighing in relief when he sees she’s not arrived. Now that he’s here, his nerves have time to catch up with him, slamming him low in the back and crawling up to strangle his neck. It’s been a long time since he dated.

Starting in a high-intensity trade school hadn’t left him much time for it and with his career taking off he’s less time than then. But he’s tired of being lonely.

“I know the sweetest girl. She’s in her second year of university. You’ll love her!”

Kuroo had balked at the idea of dating someone in school, unable to help feeling like a creep. But Saeko-chan has insisted, unwilling to recognize the word “no” and set him up with one Yachi Hitoka, a second-year university student, majoring in business with a minor in art.

Odd mixture.

Sighing, he shoves away his anxiety and takes out his book. Maybe reading will help calm him down.

>

Yachi hurries down the street, her breath coming out in little puffs of white steam. It’s taken her longer to get here than expected, unused to walking in such high heels on treacherously slick sidewalks but she’s managed to arrive unharmed; a miracle indeed.

The bell above the door tinkles musically as she enters, looking around the main floor of the cafe for “wild hair and a smirk” as Saeko described.

Just when she’s beginning to think he may not have arrived (what if he stood her up?) she thinks she’s spotted him. Tousled hair, a sharp but attractive jaw leaned into a large hand, and half shut eyes scrolling over the pages of a book through thick but not too thick square framed glasses.

Before her nerve is lost, she strides forward, the click of her heels sounding loud in her own ears as the ambient noise is drowned out by the thrumming of her pulse.

“Um, excuse me? Are you Kuroo-san?”

Those squared frames eyes flick up and catch her gaze, the intensity found in their beautiful golden hue making her already shaky legs feel even weaker.

He’s gorgeous. And tall, she notes as he begins to rise… oh… very tall. Even in her four-inch heels, he towers over her. Red is definitely his color and the tight black jeans coupled with thick-soled boots are an aesthetic she needs in her life.

She swallows, nearly worrying her bottom lip with her teeth and only just remembering the lipstick there.

>

Kuroo doesn’t realize he’s staring, doesn’t recall he’s even stood up, struck dumb by the vision of cute in front of him. Soft pastel coupled with rock n’ roll leather is a thing apparently for him and this girl is singing his own siren song.

She’s pretty too; wide brown eyes framed by soft, blonde hair with glossy *hot pink oh my god lips… lips that are moving…

“Um… are you Kuroo-san?”

He blinks rapidly, then his mouth opens and he manages to choke out a much too emphatic, “Yes!” He clears his throat, tries a smile that he hopes is friendly; “Sorry, uh, you’re Yachi-san then?”

Stupid question.

But she smiles and chirps, “That’s me!”

And his insides melt because damn, she is so cute.

>

As they take seats across from one another, they both think in tandem, “Thank you Tanaka Saeko.”
