Win or Lose with You

imagine-that-haikyuu:

It’s my darling son Kageyama’s birthday! For the occasion, I decided to do a bit of a follow-up to the birthday fic I wrote for myself in 2016. l focused this around the lyrics to Dessa’s “It’s Only Me” like with the last one (the title comes from the refrain). Honestly, I’ve raved about her on this blog before and I love everything she does, so please listen to her stuff because it’s gr8

Anyway, happy birthday to my Sweet Blueberry Boy, Tobio

– Admin Rachel Lauren

It’s quiet when Kageyama enters the apartment. That’s to be expected, though. He left at an ungodly hour and is returning in the same fashion, but this time without your exhausted presence to welcome him home like you had seen him off. He would have loved to seen you waiting for him outside the security check at the airport to drive him home. If it hadn’t been around two in the morning, that would have been the plan. No, now your sleep goes uninterrupted by his arrival.

It’s for the best, anyway, as you have to be up for work in the morning.

Just as he sits in the foyer to take off his shoes, Kageyama hears the creak of your bedroom door opening.

“Tobio?” Your voice is soft and drenched with sleepiness. He’s heard this voice of yours so many times already, and yet there’s something so uniquely beautiful to it this time. Even with your hair a tousled mess from just waking up and the way you squint in the hallway light is a sight for sore eyes. At least for him.

“Welcome home,” you mumble. A yawn comes out to punctuate that.

Happy birthday Tobio!!!

Your eye twitched at the hand wrapped tightly around your wrist, narrowed eyes sliding up the toned arm to the culprit. “Why do you have to involve me?”

Bakagami glanced over his shoulder. “Because you’re one of the scariest people I know.”

A sweat drop appeared on the back of your head. “I never knew you had such a way with words. I’m surprised the girls aren’t falling over themselves to hear you speak!”

He scowled at the remark but chose to keep his mouth shut.

Silence fell as you made your way to the park. For what, you had no clue.

When you reached the destination, your eyes landed on a few familiar faces; Kise, who looked rather chipper. Kuroko, who wore the same blank expression as always. Koganei, who looked excited and ready to go. And Kasamatsu, who looked rather nervous.

Your gaze followed Koganei’s and you raised an eyebrow at the four girls standing off to the side. They were huddled together, whispering amongst themselves and glancing at the group of boys.

You yanked your arm free of Kagami’s grasp and narrowed your eyes into a glare, ready to demand an explanation when you were glomped by a blonde blur, knocking you back a few paces.

“I’m glad you could make it! Now we can go!” His grip around your body disappeared and he hurried over to the girls, ushering them along. Koga followed happily with Kuroko at his side, while Kasamatsu kept his distance.

Kagami gripped your forearm in a gentle but firm hold, leaning down so he could whisper in your ear. “Kise is trying to find Kasamatsu a girlfriend, but he’s useless when it comes to girls.”

You bit back the smart remark that begged to be released. “Okay… so what up with the group?”

“Kise needed two more guys, and when he asked Kuroko, Koganei-senpai said he would do it. He ended up having to beg Kuroko before he would agree.” He scoffed, shoving his hands into his shorts. “Kuroko threatened me with that damn dog, so I had to come along.”

“And I’m here because…?”

“They were short one girl and I wasn’t about to get set up with some chick I didn’t know.”

“Lovely. I knew I should have ignored your call.”

He sent you an annoyed glare, but you weren’t entirely sure it was meant for you. “If I have to suffer, you can to!”

“You’re such a good friend, Taiga.”

“Shut up.”

“Come now. Is that any way to speak to your elder?”

“Shut up.”

To say that the atmosphere was ‘awkward’ would be the world’s greatest understatement. The only ones talking were Koga and Kise, along with their dates. Honestly, you were fine with Kagami not talking to you but the silence was a bit killer, especially with the aura Kagami and Kasamatsu were giving off.

You rested your elbow on your crossed legs and plopped your cheek into your palm, playing with your shoelace to pass the time which seemed to be dragging by. God, you wish Kise would pull the plug already. His little plan obviously wasn’t working. Even when his date said something to him, all Kasamatsu would do was nod. He wouldn’t even look at her!

Your cell phone buzzed in your pocket and you shared a glance with Kagami before fishing it out and flipping it open. Why in the world was Kise texting you when you were in the SAME room?

Why are you sitting on the floor?

You held in a snort.

Because I refuse to sit next to some girl I don’t know.

Participate, please? 😦

You glanced up and caught Kise’s frown. No matter how tough you liked to believe yourself to be, that look was not something you could easily look over. You sighed before getting up off the floor, only to plop into Kagami’s lap. He grunted at the added weight, growling into your ear.

“What the hell are you doing?!”

“Shut up.” You muttered before forcing a smile as you addressed the girls. “So! What do you guys do for fun, hmm?”

“Shopping!” They giggled in unison.

You hung your head in disbelief, the corner of your lips twitching. I can’t work with this, Kise!

“A-Ano…”

Blinking blankly, you looked up at the girl sitting across from Kasamatsu. She was a small thing, probably Kuroko’s height, with hair as green as Midorima’s and eyes like emeralds. Thick rimmed glasses were positioned on her face, helping to hold back her bangs that had fallen from the braids’ grip. She fidgeted nervously, but managed to meet my eyes with confidence in her voice.

“I-I’m on the debate team at school.”

Your eyes lit up and you leaned forward. Hope! There was hope after all! “That’s cool. Ne, Yukio?”

He jumped when you nudged him in the side, his face turning a bright red as his hands tightened around his slacks. “Y-Yeah…”

You twitched again. That fool had no idea what he just agreed to! Kagami sniggered, probably at your irritation, and tried to cover it up with a few coughs. A swift nudge to the ribs had him coughing for real.

“Mou, what’s taking that idiot waiter so long?” The blonde sitting across from Kise whined, crossing her legs and causing her skirt to ride up her leg. She ended up flashing Kise, but she didn’t seem to care. She wasn’t the type to care. “I’m hungry, Ryo-kun!”

“I’ll go check and see what the hold up is!” You jumped up, a little too eager, ignoring Kise’s sharp look. Seeing how miserable he looked, you figured you’d spare poor Yukio, as well. “Give me a hand?”

His blue eyes snapped up to meet yours, as if to make sure you were speaking to him. You held your hand out in confirmation, figuring he might need some help un-sticking himself from between Kagami and Kuroko. He seemed to hesitate, swallowing hard before slipping his sweaty hand into your own. It proved just how nervous and uncomfortable he really was.

You pulled him up with ease, not bothering to spare the others a glance before you turned and left the room, pulling the younger boy along behind you. Only when you were a safe distance away did you release his hand, instead placing them in the pockets of your hoodie.

“Sorry if you wanted to stay. Just seemed like you were pretty uncomfortable.”

“Y-Yeah. Thank you.”

You glanced at him curiously. “You really didn’t wanna do this, did you?”

“I don’t have time for girls.”

You chuckled at his response and he glared at you, unamused.

“What’s so funny about that?”

“You’re only saying that because you don’t know how to handle them. That’s why Kise was trying so hard to help you.”

He didn’t respond, instead turning his head away. Guess you pissed him off.

“Well, what do I know?” You laughed, rubbing the back of your head sheepishly. “I don’t know you well enough to say either way. I was just going by what I’ve heard from Kise.”

“It’s not my fault I can’t talk to girls.” He muttered in a soft voice. You almost didn’t hear him.

“You’re talking to me, aren’t you?”

“That doesn’t count!”

“How so?” You raised a brow curiously.

“You’re different. It’s not like I’m talking to a girl when I talk to you!”

Did he just call you a guy? You think he did. This kid was about as useless as Kagami… Kise wasn’t kidding!

“I-I mean…” He stumbled over his words, eyes wide and face bright red. His mouth opened and closed as he tried to form words, but none came.

You laughed again, waving him off. “Don’t worry about it. I know I’m not the most girly thing out there. I’m one of the guys, and it’s easy to forget that I’m female.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I’m not so easily hurt, so relax.” You hadn’t realized he had stopped walking until you glanced over and found the spot next to you vacant. Before you had the chance to turn around, arms wrapped around your body from behind, pinning your arms to your side. The embrace was awkward and you could feel just how tense his body was… he really didn’t have any experience. It was actually pretty surprising, considering how good looking he is.

You tapped his arm curiously after a minute of silence. “What are you doing, Yukio?”

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it like it came out. I just…”

“I said it’s fine.” You laughed, patting his arm. You expected his grip to disappear, or at least loosen up a bit, but he tightened it instead.

“The truth is… I always get nervous around you. I never know what to say or do, and I always get jealous when I see how easy it is for Kise to talk to you. I just wanna smack him!”

“You should. Holding in your anger is bad for your health, ya know.” You were dead serious, too. You love Kise, but he could get on your nerves sometimes. He needed some tough love. Especially after tonight. “Your problem is that you think too much.”

You pried his arms off, turning around to meet his confused gaze. His cheeks were alight with red and something burned in the depths of his blue eyes, but you couldn’t make out what it was.

“You think too much about what to do and what to say, and you end up psyching yourself out. Don’t think so much. Be impulsive and just say or do whatever comes to mind. You can think about it later on.”

He looked down at the floor, seeming to think about what you told him. When he looked up again, there was a fire burning in his eyes. You didn’t move as he reached forward, grabbing your shoulders firmly and pulling you into his body. His lips crashed down onto your own, his hand sliding to the back of your neck to keep you in place. Your body was thrown into shock… you couldn’t move a muscle! Was Kasamatsu Yukio really kissing you? It seemed like a dream.

After a few seconds, he pulled away enough to create a few inches between your lips. Having him so close, you realized just how good looking this boy really was. With his spiked black hair and intense blue eyes, his strong features and his well-defined brow. He was almost god-like in looks. Kind of like Kise, but more masculine and rough.

You still hadn’t moved.

He must have taken that as a bad sign because he began to pull away. It was then that you realized what needed to be done.

Your hand grabbed the back of his neck to stop him in his tracks, fingers sliding through his silky hair. His eyes widened in surprise before your lips collided again, this time with more passion and want. The grip around your waist tightened as your lips moved in perfect synch.

The passion began to heat up as he pushed you against the wall, his muscled body making you groan in satisfaction as it molded against your own. You guess the sound snapped him out of whatever trance he had been in, because he jumped away from, eyes wide like saucers and his hand covering his mouth.

You licked your lips to get another taste of him, chest heaving up and down as you attempted to slow your rapidly beating heart.

The passionate air that you had just been bathed in slowly stared to fade away, making way for an air of awkwardness that you weren’t quite sure how you could break. You didn’t know how he felt, so you didn’t know what step you should take next. For all you knew, he could have been just using you for practice.

“I’m s – ”

“Don’t say it.” You scowled, rubbing the back of your head. “There’s nothing to apologize for.”

“You didn’t pull away.”

“Did you want me to?”

“No.”

Surprised by the answer, your eyes met his. The shock had faded, it seemed, and there was determination burning in the depths of his eyes. A couple steps was all it took before he was directly in front of you, his lips hovering over your own.

“I still feel nervous around you.”

You grinned, throwing your arms around his neck. “Hmm, we’ll just have to keep practicing until your not nervous anymore.”

“What about Kise?”

“Who cares. He’ll find out eventually.” You muttered, capturing his lips once more.

This time, you didn’t let him get away.

This is awesome! Love it!

Christmas with…The Pretty Setter Squad

A/N: Praise our beautiful Aphrodite children amirite

Sugawara

  • He is the BEST at hosting Christmas parties and being a part of them. He’s so kind and charismatic, it really sets the mood for a nice evening. (Also if he ever meets your parents this will make them instantly love him.)
  • Spicy food on a cold day is A+ in his book. He will, no matter what, eat the spiciest thing he can make or order (much to your amazement). If you like spicy food too he will challenge you.

Oikawa

  • Not only is he the Grand King Setter, but he’s the Grand King of ugly Christmas sweaters. Catch him with the cringiest threads he can find every day. (Also pls match with him at least once.)
  • His desired Christmas gift (if you can even call it a gift) is you two singing Christmas carols in front of Iwaizumi’s window at midnight. Hopefully you won’t die.

Kenma

  • Sorry, but once it starts getting cold outside, Kenma is strictly a homebody. He’s so sensitive to the cold it’s almost comical at times. (Open his window when he’s asleep and it’s snowing lmao he will literally jump out of the bed like a cat.)
  • Getting some hot chocolate and having a video game or movie marathon is his favorite thing to do. And being snowed in somehow makes it even more fun. He’ll cuddle up under a fluffy blanket with you too.

Kageyama

  • He hates the cold and always overdresses you for it? Like he keeps offering you his earmuffs and mittens, but you already have like 3 pairs on chill Kags.
  • He’ll wrap an arm around you in public more than once , but only because he insists he “needs warmth” not because he wants to or anything. The content look and blush on his face proves otherwise.

Akaashi

  • He doesn’t really get the hype for Christmas, but he thinks when you get excited about it it’s super cute. It makes him want to participate in the festivities.
  • He can, and will give you the best present ever. It’s always something he knows you need. It’s amazing how spot on his giving skills are.

So cute!!

Welcome back. I hope finals go well for you both! I wanted to ask for how GOM +Kagami, Imayoshi, Takao, Himuro, and Kasamatsu (sorry if there are too many) would react being caught under the mistletoe with their crush?

imagine-knb:

No need to apologize for the amount of characters! We technically don’t have a character limit, but do know that the more you ask for, the more likely the answers will be on the shorter side!

Kuroko: Despite the little bit of color that is on his cheeks, Kuroko seems to be more confident than he’s letting on. It’s almost too easy for him to lean into you, pressing a kiss to the corner of your lips. He didn’t miss; he just didn’t want to give you a full kiss in case you didn’t reciprocate his feelings.

Kagami: But he hasn’t even confessed to you yet! Kagami’s face almost matches his hair with how hard he is blushing and the words coming out of his mouth are garbled up to the point you have no idea if he’s speaking in Japanese, English, or Gibberish. You might not get a kiss if he continues for long.

Kise: It’s hard for Kise to hide the excitement on his face when he notices the mistletoe above the two of you. Trying his best to mask it, he tries to go for smooth and suave as he places a delicate finger under your chin. It’s almost too cheesy the way he tilts your face toward his so he can kiss you.

Kasamatsu: With how red his face is and how silent he was, you wouldn’t be surprised if Kasamatsu had turned into an actual tomato right before your eyes. He’s trying his best not to acknowledge the mistletoe while also glancing at it every two seconds. He definitely can’t be the one to make the first move.

Aomine: This is almost too perfect of a chance. Aomine practically traps you against the door frame, throwing one of his arms above your head as he leans in rather close from the get go. The look in his eyes says he’s hoping to turn a simple peck on the lips into something more.

Imayoshi: Knowing for a fact that you can see the mistletoe above your head, Imayoshi decides to play the role of the oblivious one. What does a mistletoe mean again? The smirk widens on his face as he watches you embarrassingly scramble to explain to him what he already knows.

Midorima: There’s a light dusting of color on his cheeks, but Midorima is mature enough to know he shouldn’t make pebbles into mountains. Despite you being his crush, he almost makes you think this is a business transaction with how formal he’s being, going so far as to ask for permission twice.

Takao: Was this crush of his supposed to be a secret? Because it obviously isn’t with the way Takao gives a little cheer when the two of you get caught under the mistletoe. He’s quick to give you a peck on the cheek and it absolutely makes his heart to somersaults when you pout at not getting anything more.

Murasakibara: The kiss tastes of sugar; of course, that’s because Murasakibara had been nibbling at some powdered cookies just before. The way you lick your lips afterward is almost too adorable and he has to stop himself from leaning down to give you another kiss.

Himuro: Making sure to let you know that the two of you could skip out on the tradition if it makes you uncomfortable, Himuro secretly hopes that you’ll be fine with him offering you a kiss. His heart starts beating faster when you lean in to give him one before he can finish asking.

Akashi: He’s not a stickler for tradition, but this is one thing that Akashi can’t pass up. The hand he has on your cheek is cold in comparison to your warming face. You glance up just in time to see a gentle smile before he’s leaning down to press his lips against yours.

So cute!!

Kyoutani Kentarou: *Don’t hate me Mad-dog! I’ve never written for you either T~T*

Rage was bubbling all across his body, making his chest feel too tight, feeling like if he inhaled just the slightest he’d explode with fury. Why hadn’t he been there? How the hell had you escaped his line of sight? Kyoutani felt a mixture of shame, guilt, and unrelenting, hell raising rage as he burst through the doors of his family’s rival – mowing them down easily with his assault rifle. They’d been caught by surprised – they’d only just stolen you that afternoon! And yet here Kyoutani was to get you back! They’d been expecting negotiations, not a goddamn bloody raid!

Blood splattered all over the rivaling family’s furniture, some even back splattering on his clothes and face – but he couldn’t give a damn. You’d been taken from him. Right in front of his goddamn face. He tossed aside the rifle once it clicked empty, reaching into the back of his waistband and pulling out a pistol, popping off a shot at his hip as a rival goon rushed him. During battles, during fights, during brawls like this – war like this – Kyoutani was laser focused on what was needed from him. He had a tendency to tune everything out and do as directed.

Only no one was directing him now.

The Mad Dog’s muzzle had been torn loose.

“Stop! Or I’ll shoot her.” Came a faux confident voice from the top of the manor’s stairs, causing Kyoutani’s eyes to flash up at the speaker. It was the youngest son of the rival family. Kyoutani couldn’t be bothered to remember the punks name, but he knew he was a little bastard who always tried to pull shit like this with the other families. The drama queen – the overlooked child. Said child gulped at Kyoutani’s piercing gaze, pressing the barrel of the gun against your temple as a show he was ‘serious’. “I’ll do it!” He yelled, hating that his voice broke.

Kyoutani glared at the boy, not giving you a spare glance. He knew you were hurt, beaten, bloody and crying… He knew if he so much as looked at you…. He’d lose his mind. He’d lose whatever little control he had over the situation. And while this boy didn’t understand the first thing about bluffing and threats…. Kyoutani couldn’t afford to mess up now… Not with your life on the line – not with a gun to your head.

“N-now… You’re going to turn around and walk right out of here… She’s mine, now, got it?” The boy nodded his head towards the front door that Kyoutani had bursted through not moments before. “You can just tuck your tail between your legs and go fuc-“

Pop.

You screamed and ducked away from the noise, closing your eyes tightly. There was a heavy thud as the boys body fell back onto the hardwood of the floor, and a few seconds later you could feel blood seeping into your shoes and socks as it puddled around the two of you. You sobbed and reached up, covering your face, trying not to think about what had just happened – all because you’d strayed just a little too far from your boyfriend. If you’d stayed by his side…. You wouldn’t be sitting in a growing puddle of mixed blood.

“Are you okay?” A rough voice pierced your thoughts and made you jump in surprise, in fear, away from the owner of it.

You braced yourself and held up your arms in an X formation, a form of defense, “NO!” You cried out. You peeked open an eye to see it was Kyoutani, your boyfriend, the love of your life staring at you with warm golden eyes – he’d started to reach out to you, but had flinched back at your defensive maneuver.

“Shh…. It’s okay… I’m not going to hurt you… I promise…” He whispered, and the tender tone of his voice made you reach out and wrap your arms around his neck, burying your face in his shoulder and sobbing your heart out to him. Kyoutani felt his heart breaking in his chest, and he pushed away the remaining rage; You needed him right now. You needed him…. He’d just have to take care of the rest of the family once he was sure you were safe and taken care of. “Come on, _____…. Let’s go home…” He murmurs quietly, slowly wrapping his arms around you, one arm under your bottom to support your weight while his other rested on the side of your face. You realized he was shielding you from the heinous scene of death he’d caused. The destruction he’d singlehandedly brought to the rival’s outpost.

Kuroo Tetsurou:

Kuroo ducked behind a pillar as a barrage of bullets rained down on him, and he closed his eyes tightly, feeling the few cuts of close calls still burning with pain. “Fucking bastards….” He growled lowly before doing quick pop shots of the rival’s goons, taking one out with a headshot before ducking back behind his cover, and doing the same trick until the 5 of them were dead. Inhaling sharply, he rushed from the pillar to just behind an overturned table, rummaging around the dead goon’s bodies for anything of use – bullets, knives, information, anything. “They should fucking know better…. Off limits means off fucking limits.” He hissed.

“Do you really think I give a damn, Tetsu?”

“Fuck you!” Kuroo yelled, popping his head up from behind his cover before ducking again as more bullets were shot at him, “Why don’t you get rid of your little army and we can talk like real men!” He called to the second son of his family’s rival gang – Hisao.

The young man laughed, “I’m not a fucking idiot, Tetsu. You gotta show a little effort if I’m going to put out.” Kuroo was about to pull out one of his favorites, a flash bang, when Hisao tutted, “Ah, ah, ah – Old Tetsu isn’t going to be using the flashy grenade now is he? I don’t think little girlie here would much appreciate that. Such pretty eyes~! Would be a shame if she suddenly went blind… Or worse.” He mused happily, and immediately Kuroo was pulling his hand back from the grenade.

“Get her out of here, Hisao, and I promise your death will be quick.” Kuroo scooted to the edge of the table, glancing around the edge to see three more of the family goons were aiming their rifles at where he’d popped his head up just a few seconds ago.

“Oh? Is that so?” The young man smiled warmly, “Ah, I think I’ll be fine…. You old men are too slo-“

Pop. Pop. Pop.

Kuroo stood from his hiding place, smirking at the younger man, “What was that you were going to say, you little shit?” He asked smugly, walking closer to where Hisao stood with you on your knees in front of him.

Hisao held up his own gun right at Kuroo’s head, raising an eyebrow, “Drop it…. And I’ll think about letting her look away when I blow your head off your shoulders.” He shrugged, impishly, not really caring either way – but knowing he’d be held to the highest regard if he took out the only son of his family’s rival. No longer would he be frowned upon. He’d be calling the shots. “What a good kitty.” He hummed happily when Kuroo did as he was told, sliding his pistol over to where he stood, “Now…. Get on one knee…. And pledge to me your allegiance, like a good peasant.”

Kneeling on one knee, Kuroo was only a few yards from you, his golden eyes met your confused eyes – how could he give up his weapon so easily? You felt tears well up and spill down your cheeks as you stared at him, begging him to do something, to fight back. A ghost of a smirk curled the corners of his lips, and he sent a quick wink your way. “Well? What? Old bastard didn’t hear me?” Hisao was so sure of his victory, he’d neglected to watch Kuroo carefully, neglected to see the sly cat’s hands.

“Ah… Of course… Hisao…. There’s no satisfaction in hell.” Kuroo hissed around his smirk as he tossed out his arm, three small daggers escaping his fingers and embedding themselves in Hisao’s neck. The young man stumbled backwards, shock in his eyes before his hands numbly reached up, pulling out one of the daggers from his neck. “Wounds 101, Hisao…. Never pull it out.” Kuroo tutted as he made his way to where you were on your knees, your back to Hisao.

The young man choked out an unintelligible reply, his action of pulling out the dagger causing his blood to flow freely from his severed artery. He bled out within minutes and his body’s heavy thud made you flinch and close your eyes tightly. Kuroo reached forward and pulled you against his chest, his right hand covering the side of your face, “Don’t look…” He whispered, his voice softer than before, gentle, knowing you’d seen too much today – you’d been too close to the fire that consumed his everyday life. And while he was too selfish to give you up… He didn’t want you having the image of a dead man in your mind forever.

Iwaizumi Hajime:

“This is some straight up bullshit.” Iwaizumi growled, feeling like his head was going to explode with the rush of adrenaline pumping through his system. He felt stronger than ever. Whether that was because your life was at stake or because he’d been given permission to kill your kidnappers was still undecided. Holding his pistol in one hand, he used his other to pull the belt off the dead man he was crouched next to – needing it as a tourniquet to slow the blood loss from the bullet holes in his arm and shoulder.

“Come now, Hajime! I’m only returning the favor for what your family did to my cousins a few weeks ago.” The voice of the first son of Iwaizumi’s family rival, Kin, only fueled his rage, it hadn’t even been Iwaizumi’s decision that time! That’d been his uncle’s choice to take out that outpost. And while his uncle was a badass of a Iwaizumi family member, he didn’t speak for every member of their family!

Iwaizumi closed his eyes tightly, taking a deep breath before he popped out from his hiding space, taking out two of the guards before he was shot in his other shoulder. He crouched down again, his free hand going to press against his wound, feeling like his body was on fire from the pain. “Fuck….” He hissed before checking his clip. Only 4 bullets left. “Fuck.” He looked up at the ceiling, praying for his aim to be on point; Your life depended on his aim. “Piece of shit!” Iwaizumi yelled as he popped back up, shooting the remaining guards before approaching Kin, using the gun as a bluff to get as close as possible.

“Ah, ah, ah…. Not another step.” Kin smiled, having his gun pointed at your head. You stared up at Iwaizumi, tears in your eyes – you’d been through so much pain. So much of your body was hurting. One of your eyes had swelled shut after you’d taken a beating from the goons, your bottom lip was split, and you were sure you had a minor concussion.

“H-Hajime…” You whimpered, your tears spilling over now, “I-it hurts…”

Your boyfriends dark green eyes flashed to Kin, and for a split second, Kin realized this was a mistake. Messing with the Iwaizumi family only meant destruction of his own. But there was no backing down now. Go big or die trying. “Let her go….” Iwaizumi’s voice was low, almost quiet, but the strain of it didn’t go unnoticed by Kin.

Kin raised an eyebrow, “Why would I do that? She’s my new bride….” He smirked, glancing down at you before pressing the barrel of the gun to your temple, “Although… She’s very prudish… I’ll just have to make her into one of my whores after I’ve gotten rid of y- HEY!” Before Kin could realize what had happened, Iwaizumi had taken the opportunity of his eyes on you to chuck his emptied gun at Kin’s head before lunging at him. The two of them landed on the floor, Kin’s gun going off once, the bullet burying in one of the wooden pillars of the house, before the force of the fall caused Kin to let go – the metal of the gun scraping against the marble floor sealed Kin’s fate. Iwaizumi sat on top of his rival easily, bringing down his fists against the young man’s face – doing to him what had been done to you.

“H-Hajime! Stop! Please!” Your voice sounded distant to him, as if you were yelling down a long tunnel. He paid it no mind and continued to beat down on Kin, not even realizing that the young man had long since stopped fighting back. “Hajime!” A force against Iwaizumi’s back made him lean forward in surprise, and he quickly grabbed the arm that was around his neck before turning and raising a fist at whoever had attacked him now. You pulled your other arm above your head, cowering away from your boyfriend with eyes shut tight, your other arm still held hostage in his tight hold.

“____….” His voice was hoarse, but once he’d realized what it was he was doing, he immediately let go of your arm. You fell backwards onto your bottom, bringing your knees up to your chest and hiding your face in them – you’d been fine through the beating done by the goons… But just the mere thought of the love of your life hitting you terrified you. “_____.. I-I…. I’m so sorry…” Iwaizumi whispered, reaching towards you and flinching back when you leaned away. He looked down at his hands and realized they were stained with blood. His entire arm was covered in his own, and if he slowed down now… He was sure he’d start to feel dizzy from blood loss.

You noticed this. You saw his blood slowly pooling on the floor underneath him. He was in no condition to keep going. Steeling your nerves, you got to your feet, grabbing his unsure hand and pulling him behind you towards the entrance of the building. You weren’t doing too good either, your black eye gave you the worst depth perception, and every step you took felt like you were stepping on hot coals. White hot coals. But you’d walk through hell to make sure Iwaizumi was okay.

Whoot whoot! These were great! I loved the variety of how they dealt the death blows! Very much looking forward to the continuation of this one!

Okay
I’m gonna tweak this if you don’t mind! Also please note that this is the last
request from the previous askbox, and not part of the 12 asks I plan on picking
for Christmas/New Year!

Reminder: that I’m available
for commissions and
please turn off best stuff first!

Female!Reader
ahead.

When
the door slammed shut, all memory of what happened seemed to evaporate to thin
air. Even now, fifteen minutes after you stormed out of Kagami’s apartment, he
is still thinking about what led you to argue like that. It was not nice, not
at all nice, and he winces at the memory. Heated conversation turned into
shouting. He remembers your face and your reddened eyes, the way tears stream
down your face as you whisper out the words that cut him deep.

“Your
face is the last thing I want to see right now.”

He
murmurs expletives as he looks at the clock, indicating how late and dark the
night is already. Though the skies disclose nothing as it approaches midnight,
he senses the cool winds sweeping into the living room through open windows.
It’s going to rain soon, he realizes, and he doesn’t know where you are at. The
phone in his hand is bright, the only source of light in the room and the only
way to reach you, but he fails to do so. He isn’t surprised, but is still
disappointed that you won’t pick up the phone.

Hearing
the low but loud rumble of thunder from outside, Kagami curses one last time,
grabbing a jacket before running out of the house into the dark.

A
mile away, you’re clutching at your dead phone as you glare into a man’s eyes.

Out
of the frying pan and into the fire, one might say. You really did not expect
thugs to be around, but you admit internally that I was your fault for thinking
so and letting your guard down. It’s probably around midnight already, of
course there are bound to be a group or two hanging around the nearby
neighborhood.

“C’mon, just one bar, I promise.”

Like
you can keep your word, pal,
you resist the urge to scoff and instead
try to walk past him. He’s probably a couple of years older than you, his build
is towering and intimidating, though it doesn’t seem like he works out. You
find yourself thinking about how to take him out in a fist fight—impossible,
you deduce, despite your ability to pack a punch. He’s just going to brush it
off.

“I
said no,” you say in a clipped tone. When a hand grips your forearm, you
freeze. He’s close, you don’t need to feel his breath on you to know.

“I’ll
buy you a drink and all that,” he chuckles dryly and you fail to see the humor
in the situation. Footsteps fall behind you. “Found a plaything for us
tonight, boys,” he says again, this time with his face away from you. You’re
thankful he can’t see you clench your teeth at the arrival of his company.

“Let
her go.”

You
turn your head so fast to look behind you. Kagami stands there, behind the
two-three people obviously associated with the guy who’s got a hold on you. A
weird mix of emotions rush through you, but they are mostly relief blended with
guilt, like you’re happy to see him but you don’t want to see him at the same time.

“You never told me you got a date,
babe,” he coos at you sickeningly after getting a good look at your latest
guest. The man pushes you forward, your staggering footsteps bringing you
straight to Kagami without a single interference from the other thugs. They
probably know better—anyone can see the hint of muscle underneath his jacket
and the tank top he’s wearing. He might not be an experienced fighter, this you
know, but they only need to think he is.

“If
you ever touch her again—”

“Yeah,
yeah, you’re gonna fuck me up or whatever,” the leader of the group declares,
waving dismissively at the two of you. The sudden disinterest can only be a
facade for embarrassment. Fear, even. They only act bored to run. The man turns
to you one last time.

“You’re
lucky Romeo came for you, babe,” he purrs, and you feel your skin crawl at the
sight of his smirk, “but if you wanna have a good time—”

Kagami
turns you around and away from the man, leading you by the hand into a light
jog. His blood boils at the way you have been treated and ogled at, and he just
wants to wash that man’s stare off your body.

There
is a flash of lightning before the two of you feel the light shower, and Kagami
takes off his jacket for your cover in time for the pour that follows immediately
after. The two of you aren’t lucky enough to evade the downpour and reach home
only almost ten minutes later, soaked to the bone.

“I’m
sorry,” you say simultaneously to the door closing. Something inside you makes
you feel scared about saying those words. You hope he doesn’t hear you, but you
know better. Kagami leads you to the bedroom.

“Let’s
get changed.”

Kagami
undresses, not bothering to close the door, but you’re still paralyzed with
guilt as the memories of the fight resurface. Not even his damp, bare skin can
distract you from the thoughts. Kagami sighs, dumping the tank top and his
shorts into the hamper at the corner of the room, leaving him only in a pair of
black boxer shorts that looks like an incredibly tight fit.

“You’re wet,” his voice is low, laced
with something you refuse to give in to but want to an unknown extent. Those
simple words sound so dirty though you know he is referring to
your state after running under the rain. You hear the drip,
drip
 of
water from your hair onto the floorboard. He takes a step forward. Two.

Then
his hands are on your blouse, unbuttoning it ever so slowly.

“I’m
sorry, too,” he whispers.

You
cup his face and yank him into a deep kiss, a result of desperation and lust,
or maybe something more than that. You’re still peeved at the way you fought
earlier—arguments like that are rare in your relationship—and you remind
yourself to incite another more civilized conversation with him, but later.
Later, after the two of you finish ravaging each other. Right now, you think as
you run your hands up and down his slick torso, you want him to fill you up, to
hurt you, to tell you he’s yours and you his, to bite you, to touch you.

You
want him to love you.

“You
are the only thing I want right now.”

Just as amazing as the first time 😉! I love your depth of emotion in very simplistic description. You pour so much into your pieces and even though I know it isn’t, you make it seem easy because your prose flows so well!

Can I request a part two for the scenerio about the boys against their sisters dating?

sfw-haikyuu-nsfw:

I AM SO SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO ANSWER THIS. And I’m also going to apologize because I can’t find the original post for the life of me and I don’t even know why. I’ve scoured my archives like crazy and am about ready to pull my hair out!

Anyway, I DO remember how everything played out, so I’ll write the sequel and immediately link the OP as soon as I find it. To clarify, It was three parts – the first being Oikawa dating Iwaizumi’s sister, the second Ushijima dating Oikawa’s, and the third Kuroo dating Akaashi’s – that didn’t exactly have a happy ending, but more one of the prospect of the brother’s trying to be okay with the dating situations. And I’ll be jumping in from there!

I hope you enjoy, Anon!

Iwaizumi stared at the couple from across the courtyard, his sister leaving no space between herself and Oikawa as the boy leaned to whisper something that brought a bright smile to her face. Iwaizumi felt his brows furrow as he stared harder, attempting to read the words coming from his friend’s lips despite not being able to hear them.

It had been nearly two months since he had discovered the relationship status of his younger sister and his best friend. And while it was undoubtably hard to adjust to the knowledge, he felt as though he was handling everything relatively well. His temper was something he constantly felt as though he were keeping in check, but it was all for her sake. He could care less what Oikawa thought.

“If you glare long enough Oikawa might drop dead,” Hanamaki voice broke through Iwaizumi’s thoughts, bringing the very glare upon himself. But the boy grinned back, elbow nudging into Matsukawa’s side. “He’s on a killer rampage!”

“Shut up,” Iwaizumi growled, gaze dropping to his bento but not finding anything appetizing to eat there.

“Hey,” it was Matsukawa this time, bringing Iwaizmi’s eyes back up, “try not being so mad all the time. She’s happy, he’s happy. You’re anger about it is throwing off the team. Maybe try actually being a supportive friend and brother instead of pretending to me.”

“Or continue trying to kill Oikawa with your gaze. I think you almost had his this time.”

Oikawa gave a small groan, his gaze shifting back to his sister with the brut that was Ushijima. The emotions that usually surfaced when he saw the Shiratorizawa captain were only amplified when he saw him with his sister, but he had practiced the art of holding his tongue for her sake. Only for her sake, never for his,

“Fine,” he uttered to Iwaizumi, “I’ll try being ‘friendly’”

Standing to his feet, Oikawa plastered a smile to his features before walking the short distance that resided between him and them. Giving them a bright greeting, he moved to press himself directly in-between the couple. Ignoring the annoyed gaze that his sister immediately placed upon him, his gaze shot over to Ushijima, the large man now with his hands folded in his lap instead of intertwined with his sisters.

“Perhaps we should do something?” Oikawa offered, making himself more comfortable in the tight space between them, attempting to create more space. “There’s that new space odyssey movie that’s come out. What do you say, Ushiwaka?”

“I–” Ushijima paused for a moment, his gaze shifting to her across from him and Oikawa could see her shaking her head from the corner of his eyes, “–it’s [First Name]’s decision.”

“Tooru–” when his gaze shifted over to his sister, he hoped that he looked sincere, because he wanted to be. If this was the man that she was choosing, than he wanted to be supportive of her, even if it wasn’t a decision he would have trouble accepting “–how about ice cream?”

Kuroo had offered to pay for the treats, something him and Akaashi bickered about for perhaps too long before she had stepped in. The moments between were quiet as they found a small round table to rest at and Akaashi immediately realized the full impact of his initial outburst over this situation. He watched the conscious distance placed between them and how they shared small glances before staring down at the table before them.

He had made them feel as though everything that they were doing was bad – taboo even – he had created an awkward wedge within their relationship and if they failed, he know it would have been because of him at this rate. That was the last thing he wanted, even if he didn’t one hundred percent support this, he couldn’t live with the knowledge that they would each blame them for the end of something that could’ve been beautiful.

Clearing his throat, Akaashi met with each of their gazes before speaking. “I’m sorry for my behavior,” he heard the way his voice wobbled slightly and he tried to correct it, but he wasn’t sure how. He wasn’t sure how this apology was supposed to even go. “I shouldn’t have reacted to terribly nor continued to hold a grudge.”

“Keiji…”

“I don’t want you to feel as though you should pretend to be something you’re not because of me,” he gave a kind smile to his sister, “I want you to be happy.”

Kuroo smiled in return when Akaashi’s gaze met with his. Hand reaching for hers, he leaned to press a kiss to her cheek and Akaashi was only slightly surprised by his lack of tension in his shoulders at the action. “Thanks, Akaashi,” Kuroo spoke then, “and would it be a bad time to tell you we’re having a shotgun wedding?”

Akaashi’s smile dropped. “Excuse you?”

“I’m kidding!”

Kuroo!! Smart ass just has to ruin it doesn’t he 😂. Great job as always!!

Would you write a scenario where Kuroo chats with his crush on the train all the time but it so happened that once mid-talk she passed out. I wondered what would he react like and think? I had an episode few days ago and freaked out but apparently my anemia is really bad :(

haikyuulovercompany:

😦 that’s horrible, babe. Please let me know how have you been feeling since you sent this, like, months ago… I hope everything is good with you. And I hope you like this !

——

Kuro walked with a small smile on his face. It had been a couple of months since his mornings had turned into a joyful ride.
Mornings would usually be the worst, but that had changed. As he finally
reached the train station, he passed in front of the big windows. Inevitably he
stopped to check himself. He passed a hand over his hair gaining nothing but to
mess it up even a little more, if that was possible. He had terrible hair, he
was more than aware of that. His tie was in place, and it seemed there was not a
spot on his white school shirt. It was all in place.

He entered the station, and quickened his pace. He
looked at the hour on his phone and felt victorious. He was still on time for
his favorite train. It always carried this young lady, around his age, that welcomed him with smiling eyes.

One of his feet tapped the floor destroying the casual
façade he portrayed. He had known her for months now, but the anticipation of
seeing her still made him nervous.

In the blink of an eye an echoing sound came from the
tunnel, and in another blink, the train was just in front of him stopping with
the shrieking of the brakes.

As soon as he stepped into the wagon, his eyes
searched for her. He grabbed one of the metal railings barely avoiding falling
due to the train charging again. He excused himself to the woman with who he had almost crashed against. She only gave him an annoyed gaze as an answer. Kuro
moved to the back of the wagon still hoping he didn’t get into the wrong one.
But as he reached the end, sitting against the back wall in a corner there she
was. The wagon wasn’t packed that early in the morning, and for his luck there
was an empty spot right beside her. As he approached her, she lifted her head
immediately smiling at him

“Good morning, _______,” Kuro said to her as he sat at
her side.

“Good morning, Kuro,” she answered as sweetly as
always, but there was something quite different. Her voice sounded weaker, and
it was difficult for him not to notice her skin looked slightly pale, even a
little dull. He had been infatuated with her since the first moment they
crossed paths in the train, so he knew all too well how her skin would usually shine.

“Are you okay?” he immediately asked.

“Yeah, well, tired maybe but just that,” she said. Her
eyes did seem tired.

He tried to insist, but she immediately asked him
about the volleyball tournament he had just around the corner. She was trying
to sound enthusiastic, yet he could still hear the faint weakness in her voice.
He decided not to dwell too much. If she didn’t want him peeking at whatever
was going on, he was not going to force her.

They talked like every morning. They talked about
homework, tests, and the daily life trifles. The train
stopped for the second time. Their stop was the next. They started to get up,
but she went down back into her seat. Kuro returned to his.

“______, are you truly okay?” She nodded with her head
down, hair falling down her face, as she held on to his wrist. Kuro finally knew there was definitely
something wrong. The grip she had on him loosened, and she fell forward. Kuro
grabbed her by her forearm stopping her body to crash face first against the
cold metal floor of the train, and pulled her back into the seat.

Her body was like a rag doll, and her eyes were
closed. Kuro panicked when the realization hit him. She had fainted. He shook
her first as he called her name but no answer came. A big wide crater formed in
the pit of his stomached and it creped all the way to his head. His head
clouded for a second. The digital bell announcing the new stop through the
speakers brought his common sense back. People around him were staring making
him feel more anxious.

What was he
supposed to do?

He placed his fingers against her neck looking for a
pulse. His mind suddenly was making up the worst scenarios possible. The last thing he wanted was to see her like that. The idea of something happening to her crushed his heart.

“Does someone have alcohol here!?” one man shouted and
the people started to shuffle, looking in their bags. “A girl fainted!”

He closed his own eyes trying to calm himself, counted and waited, his hands began to sweat. Just
when he found her pulse her eyes started to open again. She tried to sit straight, but Kuro pushed her back with shaky hands.

“No, rest for a while,” Kuro said to her.

The bell of the train sounded again announcing they
had missed their stop. It had been only a minute, maybe two, but for him it had
felt like an eternity.

“I’m sorry,” she said in a whisper. Kuro shook his
head. Maybe it was the adrenaline that had overtaken him in those few moments,
but he took her hand without a second thought.

“Let’s give you a couple of minutes before we go out
and I buy you something sweet.”

“Yeah, sugar is what this girl needs. Get her a big soda or even a whole cake just for her,” a noisy old
lady in front of them added. As soon as ______ had recovered consciousness the
curious people had dissipated. Everyone except the old lady, of course.

“I will, miss,” he politely answered.

The train stopped three more times before they got off of the train. Kuro had offered ______ his arm, and was carrying not only
his schoolbag, but also hers. The train parted leaving a heavy gust behind it.
She still was pale, and now she looked even weaker than before.

Kuro sighed in a mix of relief and worried and pulled
her into a hug. “Next time, please don’t tell you’re not feeling bad. I was so
worried.”

“I didn’t think I would faint. It isn’t like this all
the time.”

“Let’s get you something to eat, and then back to your
house to have some rest,” he said before offering her his arm again.

Thanks for the request! I hope you liked it!

Sweetheart Kuroo to the rescue! I just love him!

I’ve missed you! Good luck on your paper! Neon: HCs for your fave KiriDai boys and kissing under the mistletoe please!

imagine-knb:

Thanks for the luck! Hopefully we do well! Also, fave KiriDai boys. You mean all of them? lol

Hanamiya

  • this isn’t exactly his favorite tradition out of all the Christmas things
  • you have to be something especially special to him if you’re going to get a kiss under the mistletoe
    • anyone who he doesn’t care enough about is simply going to get glared at
  • he doesn’t deliberately go out of his way to avoid doorways that have them hanging, but it’s annoying when he gets caught under one

Seto

  • boy is so tall, he notices the mistletoe right away because he has to duck out of its way
  • he isn’t the type to kiss everyone who gets caught under there with him
    • in fact, there’s only one person on his mind that he wants to get caught under a mistletoe with
  • for as silent and brooding as he can be, he has some fantasies about mistletoe kisses

Furuhashi

  • if you placed a mistletoe in a doorway and suddenly find it missing, it’s because he’s probably taken it down
    • he finds the whole tradition as more of a hindrance than anything
  • he isn’t going to follow the tradition unless you are the one to physically make him
  • will probably grumble about how the two of you could kiss anytime; it doesn’t have to be under a doorway in front of a crowd

Hara

  • the type to jokingly carry around a mistletoe wherever he goes
  • he’s not exactly picky about who gets under there with him; if he finds you attractive then you better expect him to kiss you
    • if he finds you really attractive, you better expect that kiss to go a little farther than necessary
  • he’s pretty brave and has no qualms about dangling a mistletoe above your and his head in a crowded area

Yamazaki

  • he gets extremely flustered every time he accidentally gets caught under the mistletoe with someone
  • expect red faces and jumbled words if you’re somebody he actually wants to kiss
    • if you’re not, still expect a red face, but more out of humiliation than anything else
  • he’s the type to close his eyes and lean in with his lips all puckered

I loved these, thank you!!

serves-up:

Christmas with…The Captain Squad

A/N: Of course this isn’t all the captains but these are my faves. They’d all be hella fun to celebrate with.

Kuroo

  • Is a good boy and will help you get out the tree and set it up. He’s a shit decorator tho…no Kuroo we can’t put a picture of Nicholas Cage as the star…
  • He LIVES for movie marathons!! He’s a fan of all movies from cartoons to cheesy holiday movies (which you two can make fun of but also cry at the good points)

Bokuto

  • May or may not believe in Santa. You can’t tell if he really does or not. Turns out he doesn’t but he’s just pretending so you’ll get him an extra present from Santa. SMH.
  • Christmas cookies are his specialty! He learned a really nice recipe from his mom and is more than happy to share it with you (and your stomach)

Oikawa

  • He’s surprisingly great at decorating. He’s also a prompt decorator too, as soon as Dec 1st hits he starts decorating. He’s one of those annoying people that leaves his decorations up during February tho.
  • He hangs up mistletoe everywhere just so he has an excuse to kiss you. Not that you don’t enjoy it though.

Daichi

  • KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT TO GET YOU. Like, it’s so uncanny how spot on he is. Turns out he just keeps track of the things you like or mention wanting or needing. But also, he just gifts socks…no one needs that many socks, Dai.
  • He has All I Want for Christmas is You on full blast 24/7. He hides this from everyone, but you’ve unfortunately come across this fact since dating him. Sometimes he dances to it and that’s arguably worse

Ushijima

  • He loves the snow!! Nothing beats making a nice hot cup of coffee and watching the snow fall with you by the fireplace.
  • He’s SO useful during holiday shopping. He has no complaints against standing in lines and holding the bags. Also he points out some really great sales!

Adorable!!!
