Daichi

“You really make that suit work, Sawamura-kun,” your friend, Miki, slurred. She was definitely drunk–like, well past tipsy and straight into sloppy drunk–and she was leaning heavily on Daichi.

When you’d invited him to your best friend’s wedding, you’d warned him about three people. Your cousin Ri-chan, who liked to make her husband jealous by flirting with other men; your mother, who was so ready for you to be married, she’d likely try to strong arm Daichi into signing a marriage license that day; and Miki, your extra-flirty college roommate who tended to get even worse when martinis were involved.

“Thank you,” Daichi said stiffly, shifting subtly away from her. Sadly, she followed.

“No, but for real, Sa’mura-kun,” she slurred. “You’re like… so hot. Like, rockin’ dad bod hot… like a post-Oscars Leo Dicaprio!”

He should probably have told her that wasn’t exactly a compliment, but really, all he wanted to do was disengage and find you. You’d disappeared and left him alone with Miki to go see someone. He shifted uncomfortably, because Miki was close enough that he could smell the six or so cocktails she’d had since the champagne toasts, and he couldn’t find you. How? How could you see how he was being treated and just… say nothing?

Granted, he’d liked that chill energy when you two had met. He’d had his share of clingy, jealous partners, and the fact that you wouldn’t flip your lid over someone taking a harmless peek at his ass once in a while was refreshing. But sometimes, it niggled at that little sprout of anxiety that told him he wasn’t good enough for you. That you didn’t want him…that you were just waiting for someone to steal him away so you could move on without guilt.

It was stupid and irrational, but who said anxiety was intelligent or rational?

“So what do you say, Sawamura-kun?” Miki said, putting extra emphasis on every syllable of his name, walking her fingers up his tie in a move that was probably supposed to be seductive. “I have a room at this hotel… care to join me?”

He rolled his eyes and took a definitive step away from her; “Um… I should probably find ____.”

“Oh, please,” Miki said. “I can offer you way more than ____! Did you know–hic–that I am a very successful–hic–event planner? I planned an event for the damn Prime Minister!”

Yes, as you’ve said… about a dozen times…

Just as Miki seemed ready to lunge, though, you swooped in to his rescue and wrapped a companionable–if restraining–arm around Miki’s waist; “Whoa, there, cow girl, give the man some space.”

“____, your boyfriend is very cute! Are you sure I can’t borrow him?”

Daichi balked when you giggled; “Maybe some other time. Right now, I think you’ve caught that very cute bartender’s eye, and he’s single and looks like he can bench a truck.”

“Oh! Beefy man! I am there!” Miki squared her shoulders and sauntered (well, more like toddled, but she probably thought it was a saunter) over to the bar.

“Thank you,” Daichi said, grasping your hands gratefully.

“Don’t mention it, babe. You looked like you were drowning out there.” You were laughing a little bit, but when you squeezed his fingers and tugged him towards the dance floor, he felt a bit more settled. “Sorry about her, but in my defense, I did warn you.”

“I’ll take your mother’s overt wedding planning over that any day,” Daichi said with a shudder. He led you in a slow dance, letting you rest your ear against his chest. He bit his lip… he’d just have to bring it up. It would only get worse if he let it fester. “Weren’t you… I don’t know… jealous?”

You straightened and gave him a concerned look; “Not really.”

“Oh.” He visibly wilted. He could feel it.

“Daichi, baby,” you said, stroking his cheek. “Come on. Talk to me.”

“It’s just… you never seem to get possessive or jealous or anything… and I know that that’s sort of why I love you. You’re just chill and you trust me, but… do you even want me?”

Your expression crumpled and you stopped dead on the dance floor, taking his hands in yours; “Of course I want you, Daichi. I love you. I love you more than anything!”

“Then… why?” He felt stupid, but he had to air it out. “Why don’t…” He trailed off, unable to finish.

“Because I trust you.” You smiled at him, brilliantly and brightly. “Because I love you, and we are adults, and I’m not going to get crazy because a woman looks at you cross eyed. Besides, even if I was the jealous type, I would never get jealous over Miki. I mean, you should have seen your face. You looked more like you were getting accosted by the symbiote from Venom than a reasonably attractive woman.”

Daichi snorted, feeling a bit silly; “I love you… even if you’re a nerd.”

“I love you, too,” you said, rocking onto your toes to kiss him. “Precisely because you’re a nerd.”

Asahi

You’d insisted that him taking a train all the way to your apartment to pick you up just to take a train all the way back to his apartment was a total waste of time. He’d insisted on coming to get you because he was a worrier and you knew this, so let him be chivalrous, ____! You’d come to a compromise; he would meet you at his favorite cafe between his apartment and the station. He was early, as per usual, and decided to get a coffee and dig out his reading for his literature class while he waited. The air was too cold and too dry for his contacts, so he was stuck with his librarian glasses. Still, it was rare he got to get out and just have a cup of coffee anymore, and after that, he got to see you. So it worked out.

“Excuse me?” Asahi looked up from his book, his eyes widening when he saw a slightly giddy high-school girl. “I’m so sorry to bother you, but… are you Keisuke-kun?”

“Eh?” Asahi blinked rapidly, trying to process her words. Keisuke-kun was an up-and-coming idol that had just gotten a big endorsement deal with NUMBER (N)INE, dropped a new single, and had announced a new drama, so even pop-culture-stupid-Asahi knew who he was. While they bore a striking resemblance, Keisuke-kun was definitely more attractive.

Still, the girl was convinced, and his lack of immediate response did little to convince her otherwise; “Oh, my God! I’m just… I’m sorry to bug you on your day off, but could I shake your hand? I’m a big fan!”

“Um, I’m sorry, but I think you have the wrong person.”

“Asahi?” Of course you chose now to come save him and not, say, five minutes ago. “Sorry I’m late, doll. You ready to go?”

“Oh,” the girl said in a small voice. Her entire face turned red. “You’re… you’re not him?”

“Not who?” you asked.

“You’re just a regular person…” The girl turned even redder, and she looked at Asahi with something like awe. “I see… I’m… I’m so sorry.”

She bowed deeply and fled. You cocked your head at her fleeing back; “What was that about?”

“She called me Keisuke-kun,” Asahi replied, rubbing at the back of his neck.

“Aw, she thought you were cute,” you laughed.

“Only because she thought I was an idol.”

“Nah, did you see that face? She was having ‘hot college punk, innocent high school girl’ fantasies.”

Asahi turned beet red; “Are… you jealous?”

“Not really,” you said with a shrug. “I got coffee. Let’s head out, yeah?”

Asahi threw his arm around your shoulder, walking you back to his apartment. He really should have just let it go, maybe just smiled along sheepishly if you chose to tell Daichi and Suga the story. But he couldn’t let it go. He should have been OK with the fact that you weren’t jealous. He should have liked this fact. It showed that you trusted him. He couldn’t really deal with an overly-jealous partner… but what if you just didn’t love him enough to be jealous? If someone tried to steal him away… would you stop them?

“Asahi, doll, did you hear me?”

“What? Um, no, sorry,” he said, staring at his boots.

“Asahi, you’ve been somewhere else today,” you said, tucking his hair behind his ear. Your face was crumpled with concern. “Are you OK?”

“It’s stupid,” he grumbled. “Not important.”

“If it’s bugging you, it’s important.”

He took your hand in his, squeezing a little tighter; “It’s just… I don’t know, I don’t want crazy possessive jealousy, you know? But… why weren’t you jealous? Of the girl having a crush on me?”

You went silent. Not a stunned silence; more of a contemplative silence. “I trust you, Asahi. And I know that I won’t lose you without warning… at least I hope. But if it’s a question of me being jealous to show you how much I love you–”

“That’s so gross, I know!” Asahi interjected. “I’m sorry. I’m just… being dumb.”

“You’re being cute,” you laughed, bringing his hand up to your lips to gently kiss his knuckles. “But I do love you, Asahi. More than anything.”

“You promise?”

You kissed his hand again, trailing your lips to his wrist. Your eyes were full of dark, heated assurance…a look that made it hard to wait until he got you back to his place.

“I promise.”

Oikawa

It wasn’t uncommon for Oikawa to be surrounded by squealing girls. Sometimes they were from his school, sometimes they were from other schools, and one time he got held up by a group of housewives out shopping for the afternoon. It was just… sort of a part of his life. You understood that. You didn’t get mad when he was kidnapped by a group of girls at matches and held until someone came to fetch him (usually Iwa-chan), and you didn’t hold it against him when he was nice. What was he supposed to do, be cruel? He thought that’s what made you perfect.

Sometimes, though, sometimes his fans got… a bit out of control.

There was that one girl who threw her bra at him, and you just laughed. There was another who baked him a cake every day for a week, and you both got a little uneasy about them, but you didn’t seem all that upset about it. Then there was the girl who showed up to his dorm room in nothing but lingerie and a winter coat, and you were concerned for his safety (and her sanity), but little else.

Why did your nonchalance bother him so much?

It came to a head after practice one afternoon. He was headed to your place to study and watch a movie and maybe stay the weekend. It had been a while since he’d been able to just hang out with you. You were walking home together. Your hands were tucked in the pockets of his team jacket–he loved it when you wore it–and he was spinning a volleyball against his chest, enthusiastically recounting practice to you.

“____, we should get dinner!” Oikawa suddenly exclaimed, high on post-practice adrenaline.

“Sure, babe,” you replied. “Wherever you want to go. My treat.”

“Nooo, I want to pay! My allowance came in and I have some extra money!”

“Add that to your savings, Tooru,” you said with a laugh. Your boyfriend could be a bit on the ridiculous side. “I’m the one with a job, remember?”

“Please, let me spoil my precious ____-chan!” Oikawa threw his arm around your shoulder, nuzzling your cheek.

“Gross, you reek of sweat!” You shoved him away playfully. You didn’t hate his smell. Quite the opposite, actually…

“Oikawa-kun?” A girl was waiting at his normal crossing that would take him to his apartment. “I’m sorry, Oikawa-kun, but can I have a minute of your time?”

He wanted to say no, tell the girl to get lost, he was obviously on a date, ask her if she was stupid… the whole nine yards. Having a fan club was tiring. But he was honestly too nice and (he hated to admit aloud) his self-worth was too dependant on the love of others to risk hurting her feelings. But if you refused…

Please refuse! Get mad! Get angry! Tell her to back the fuck off, please!

But instead, you smiled up at him. He grimaced at you before turning his fakest, most plastic smile at the girl; “Of course! What can I do for you?”

“I’m so sorry to bother you…” she repeated, shifting from foot to foot.

Then go away! He thought to himself. Out loud, he said, “Now, now, don’t be shy. Just say it!”

“Oikawa-kun, I know we don’t know each other very well, but… but I’ve always admired you. I… I’m in love with you! Please… please accept my feelings!” She dipped into a deep bow.

Oikawa wanted to blow his fucking lid. He looked back at you, expecting you to fly into a rage, maybe push the girl into traffic. But instead, you just rolled your eyes indulgently, like you were saying ‘get a load of this one; funny story for later.’ He turned back towards the girl, who was shivering under the weight of his silence.

“I’m sorry. That’s very sweet but I can’t accept your feelings. See, I’m seeing someone,” he said through gritted teeth, taking a half-step back to take your hand in his.”

The girl at least had the decency to look sheepish before she bowed again and ran off. You waited until she’d rounded the far corner before bursting out laughing; “That was a new one. Confessing out of the blue like that. Does that happen often?”

He ignored your question; “Why didn’t you get mad?”

“Because you turned her down,” you said simply, squeezing his hand slightly. “Please, Tooru, I knew about your fans from day one. I knew what dating you entailed. I’m not jealous or anything.”

He turned that statement over and over in his head. He was sullen and quiet until you got to his apartment. He was so sullen and quiet, as a matter of fact, that you ordered take out instead of going out to a restaurant. He slumped on his couch, glowering out the window.

“Tooru?”

“I want you to be jealous,” he grumbled.

“But you said–”

“I know what I said!” he snapped, hugging his throw pillow tighter. “I know I was all ‘you can’t get jealous when other people love me,’ and I thought you were perfect for understanding, but…”

“But… what?” You ran your hand over his knee, revelling in his teeny little sigh at your touch. “Talk to me, baby.”

“I just feel like… you’re wasting your time with me. That I’m not good enough for you. That you don’t… really want me.”

You grimaced at him, pulling him close and running your fingers through his hair. He leaned into your touch, burrowing into the crux of your shoulder. You held him tight, pressing kisses to his temple. You had no idea how to fix it, or how to reassure him. So instead, you held him, and hoped that would be enough.

Ushijima

Ushijima was no stranger to random confessions.

All through high school, he was weirdly popular among the girls at Shiratorizawa, and his blunt honesty was often taken as intimacy. He didn’t mind it so much. He wouldn’t openly admit to preening a bit under the attention (even taking a small, perverse amount of pleasure from Tendou’s seething jealousy over it) but he rather enjoyed it. He just didn’t have time for romance.

But after he confessed to you (in his own special way) and you started going out, the random confessions started to grate on him a bit. He was taken. You two weren’t exactly shy about expressing affection, and even when he told people that he was taken, seeing someone, not looking for anyone else, the confessions still came. It was annoying at best.

The worst part was that you didn’t even seem to care. You often slipped away or waited nearby for him if and when he was randomly approached by the girls he went to school with. He handled his admirers with less and less grace as time went on, because he didn’t know what was worse. The utter disrespect his peers seemed to have for his relationship, or your utter nonchalance.

He didn’t expect a shoujo manga freak out–he didn’t want that–but he expected… something. Maybe you stepping to his defense, or possibly you just… staying close. But you didn’t. You just left him, and he didn’t want to admit how much it hurt. It was like you didn’t want him.

When he brought it up with you, though, he got a wholly unexpected reaction.

“Do you want to break up?” he asked one day.

You froze, nearly dropping your snack to the ground. Your eyes went wide with horror; “What? Why? Do… did I do something wrong?”

He felt a pang of regret at his poor wording, but he soldiered on; “No. You did nothing wrong. But you don’t seem to like me very much, so I assumed you didn’t want to continue our relationship.”

He would never admit that it killed him to say it. He would never admit that part of him always believed that you were biding your time, waiting for him to find someone else, or someone else to take him off your hands.

You took his hands, your eyes wide and watery; “Toshi… how could you say that? Of course I like you. I love you!”

Your expression and the catch in your voice gutted him, and he couldn’t even look you in the eye, he was so ashamed; “Then… why don’t you care? When people try to take me away from you?”

You balked, but you didn’t let go of his hands. That comforted him more than he would admit; “Toshi… do you want to leave me for these other girls?”

“No,” he said definitively. “Never.”

You smiled, stroking your fingers along his cheek; “Then I have no reason to be jealous. I love you, and I trust you, and I knew about your popularity going into this. You may not believe me, but you’re a catch, Toshi.”

He flushed, but could feel the hints of a soft smile at the corners of his cheeks; “Thank you, ____. That… means a lot.”

“If you’re uncomfortable me leaving you alone when you get these confessions, I’ll stop,” you said. “I’ll stand by you, and defend you, but I don’t own you. You’re your own man, and we’re equals. But if you want me to, I will protect you. No matter what.”

Futakuchi

Futakuchi was ready to tell this waitress exactly where she could stick her inappropriately low cut top and too-wide smile and her stupid hair twirling. He hadn’t seen such blatant hair twirling in his life–even when you couldn’t keep your cool around him with your stupid-obvious crush. Back then, with you, he’d found it endearing. But this fake, hyper-sexual flirting? He hated it. Especially considering he was very obviously on a fucking date.

“Is there anything else I can get you, sir?” She blatantly waited for you to excuse yourself to the bathroom, and Futakuchi had to fight the urge to eviscerate the woman on the spot.

“Just our orders, thanks,” he grumbled. He pointedly ignored the waitress until she left, effectively tearing his napkin into confetti.

“You know, she’s going to have to clean that up,” you said, fixing him with a stern stare.

“Welcome back,” he growled.

“Don’t ‘welcome back’ me in that tone. I leave for two minutes and you’re making a mess for our poor waitress?”

“Serves her right,” he said, resisting the spiteful desire to throw his napkin mess on the floor, Lonely Island style.

“Come on, Kenji, we were having a good time,” you said. “What brought this on?”

He’d have continued to fight you, but your gentle touch always melted him; “I told her I had a girlfriend. She didn’t care. It… pissed me off.”

You smiled; “Kenji, that’s sweet, but you’re kind of a catch, babe. I should commend her for her good taste.”

His scowl deepened, and he twisted his lips into a petulant pout; “You… you’re not jealous, or anything?”

“Not really.” You shrugged. “Now, what did you order me, and it better have been a lot of it! And if it is a kiwi parfait again, Kenji, I swear to God–”

“Why aren’t you jealous?”

He felt stung. He hated that he felt that way, because the fact that you were so cool was… sort of the best part about you. Sure, you had your crazy moments, but those crazies were really endearing and he loved it about you. He loved listening to you yell about the things that excited you, or made you mad, or made you think… he loved your big, brilliant brain and all it’s wonderful thoughts. He also loved your fiercely protective streak.

Maybe it was a little petty to want that protective streak turned against people he disliked.

“Because I had no reason to,” you said. “Baby, I love you. But you are so obviously upset by this, I have nothing to worry about. I am so mad on your behalf, and if I sense a bitch coming for you, I will cut her with this spoon–don’t test me–but jealous? Nah. I trust you too much to fuck with that.”

He had to laugh at that; “That was a very long-winded way of telling me you’re cutting a bitch with a spoon today.”

You flung your napkin at him; “Shut it, Kenji, or I’m spitting in your coffee.”

“You wouldn’t dare.”

He teased and sniped, mostly to cover up the soft glow that bloomed in his chest. He was… so loved. And so, so happy.

Heya! Can you please write headcanons for Kuroo, Iwaizumi and Oikawa with a s/o who is feeling really stressed and has a breakdown? They usually don’t really show when they are feeling anxious etc but they have been so stressed that now they can’t hide it anymore

mme-hajime:

cHey,

I sure can; I hope you like these and that maybe they’ll help you if you feel stressed and close to a breakdown. *hugs*

Kuroo

  • Kuroo has been noticing something was bothering you for a while now; At first he assumed it was just a stressful day, but he grew more and more suspicious and was wondering why you’d try and hide your feeling anxious from him;
  • But he decided to accept it for now and not push you too much, knowing too well that sometimes you need some time and a little space to figure things out or share a burden
  • He keeps teasing and provoking you, but you’ve put up a front for it, playing along; He decides not to push too hard, convinced that once you’re ready to share it with him, you will; He keeps hoping that you’ll come to him once it gets too much, so when you break down he is not only shocked but incredibly worried
  • He will take great care of you, will wrap you in his arms and not let you go until you stop shaking, until you feel slightly better; If you are the type of person that needs space at first, he will give it to you as well – but he will make sure to be close so once you’re ready to talk, he’ll be there
  • The moment you feel well enough again, he will take you somewhere nice – one of the places you loved to go when you felt melancholy well up inside of you; One of your secret hiding places; He wants to give you comfort in every way possible
  • He wants you to feel safe and as you breathe in fresh air and calm yourself down, he starts to tell you how scary this was; How he froze for a second, his mind racing at seeing you break down like that.
  • He wants you to understand that you’re not alone; That even if you feel silly or scared, alone or misunderstood – he is there to talk to and he will never judge you for anything; He will support you always, and he would gladly help you with anything you need, if you’d just confide in him
  • Once he gets all his feelings off of his chest (he was really scared there), he will hug you tight – he won’t let you go for a while, both for you and for him. He needs to feel you close, needs to know you’re there and alright

Iwaizumi

  • Iwaizumi is used to watching Oikawa carefully – his best friend has the habit of trying to hide his true self, especially his inner demons, away and put on a happy face for the outside
  • So he is able to see through you and knows you’re fighting some things on your own, your mind full of thoughts, doubts and other worries
  • He will not beat around the bush, and he will make sure you know that he knows; He won’t push you or force you to share, but he will make sure you always know he is there
  • Anytime he notices you act differently, he will wrap an arm around you and squeeze you, give you a kiss to your forehead – or he will try to get your mind off of it, talking about something else entirely, but never too obviously
  • Once you’ve reached that point and have a breakdown, Iwaizumi is very concerned – he didn’t think it had gotten that bad, your act of trying to seem like your usual safe having hidden away how serious it actually was
  • He will pick you up and carry you some place he knows you feels safe; He won’t let you down, not even under your protests; He can’t believe he let this happen, and he will make sure to care for you in the best way possible
  • Lot’s of cuddles and hugs, lot’s of reassurance – Iwaizumi will shower you with love before he asks you about what was weighing on your mind; He wants to know, wants to share your burden to make it easier
  • And while this was a horrifying experience, if it makes you open up to him and lean on him more, it was worth it
  • Which is why he makes sure you’ll know that you can always come to him with anything; He will declare his love for you all over, all those little things you’re anxious about yourself? He loves them. Every fault you think you might have, to Iwaizumi those make you special and endearing.

Oikawa

  • Is very good at noticing things, even if you try to hide it; But he gets the impulse to hide things like these so he usually just tries to be by your side and make you feel good without asking too many questions;
  • When you suddenly do have a breakdown, Oikawa notices that something was different immediately; You seemed off in a way that differed from your usual calm exterior; It was like he could see you break in slow motion, horror and terror spreading inside of him
  • You’ve been stressed so much, it seems you’ve reached your limit and Oikawa will make sure you’ll rest up now; This was about you, and he will make sure to care for you in the best way he knows how
  • He won’t pester you with questions, but he will be firm – whatever stressed you out he will make sure that you’ll avoid it for now; Any pressure, deadlines or toxicity that made you such a mess, Oikawa will deal with it swiftly
  • He will make you comfortable; On the bed, on your couch, he will make you your favorite drink (hot choco, tea, anything) and he will just stay with you, playing with your hair until you feel better
  • Once you do, he will scold you because he feels like you didn’t lean on him enough and he wants to make sure you know you can always come to him
  • Whatever makes you anxious, Oikawa wants to be there for you, to give you strength when you need it; He understands that there are things you have to do alone, have to go through and have victory over by yourself, but he had to learn the hard way not to overestimate what he can actually bear
  • He will tell you about himself, of his own doubts and anxiety, to let you know that everyone has issues – and that it is how we deal with them that will make us overcome those in the long run
  • He’ll hug you tight, will watch your favorite shows and movies & he will make you laugh a lot once he told you all the serious things – they needed to be said; And now he wants to be there for you, turning this day around for the better

Sweet, soft, supportive boys are my jam. These were all of those things!

can i just ask for iwaizumi, oikawa, bokuto, kuroo reacting to their gf, who’s a volleyball player/captain in them shorts. like, imagine these dorks.

OMG Yes please!! This was fun to write. Enjoy!

Iwaizumi: He’s a fan of the fact that he can practice with you and talk about an important element of his life with you. He’s also an athletic guy, so having someone he can work out with and play with is just another element of fun. I’ve mentioned before that Iwaizumi is very much a leg man, and that is very true with those teeny tiny volleyball shorts. (Low key: he will bite your thighs sometimes where your shorts will definitely show them off. He does it on purpose, don’t let him fool you.)

Oikawa: One thing that he’s always had trouble with is finding people who understand him. So the fact that you can probably relate to his passion and his super busy schedule is huge for him. He likes to practice with you, he likes to cheer you on, and he definitely gives you pointers for how to improve. Sometimes, he’ll be a little mean and do “receiving practice” with his killer serves just to show off a bit, but for the most part, it’s just sort of a dream come true for him. He honestly doesn’t really pay attention to the shorts or your legs in them until much later, but that’s because on the court, he is serious, and that extends to his time with you there, as well.

Bokuto: Wow, he’s excited. Like, way too excited. He wants to do everything with you! He gets to go to meetings with the school just for captains, and he wants to compare notes at festivals and he wants to practice with you and he wants to set up training sessions with you and your teams… it gets a bit much. His favorite element, though, is the fact that he has someone to lean on when things get tough. You can be there for each other when the pressure starts getting to you both, and you both understand. You also help him with his moods, and he helps keep you in check.

Kuroo: Trash Talk Power Couple Aesthetic. You tease each other near constantly, shouting at each other on game days, teasing each other in classes, heckling each other at practices. It gets a little out of control some days, and Kenma doesn’t put up with it at all. Seriously, if the three of you are ever together, volleyball is banned as a topic. However, if you ever want to get back at Kuroo for his teasing, just slowly take off your track pants in front of him. He’s weak for your ass, and his brain won’t have enough space to come up with creative insults when his entire blood supply has flown south for the winter.

So funny and cute!

Haikyuu Father’s Day Headcanons

I woke up feeling domestic today so in honor of Father’s Day I put together some random headcanons for some of the Haikyuu boys. I hope you enjoy them and happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

Karasuno

Daichi has been teased for being the “dad’ of his group for years so it’s no surprise he takes to fatherhood officially like a fish to water. He is the king of shoulder rides and tickle fights.

Sugawara is the best at bedtime stories, often coming up with “multi-chapter” renditions he continues one night after the other. It’s his ploy to get the kids to bed. “Well, if you want to know what happens to Marxa and Meddy, listen to your mother and get ready for bed.” Works. Every. Time.

Asahi cried when his daughter – the first born – came into the world. He couldn’t help it, she was just so tiny and perfect and a piece of you and him that he was overwhelmed. He was a bit afraid to hold her at first but once that sweet bundle was nestled in his arms it was over for him; he didn’t know he could love two people with an equal level of devotion in such different ways.

Tanaka loves all that being a dad entails. He’s there for his kids first bike ride, roller skate fall, getting stuck in a tree and needing daddy to save them. He chases away monsters from under the bed or in the closet and is always the first to kiss a boo boo and make it feel better. He’s their hero.

Nishinoya’s energy is able to keep up with his brood – four kids – rather well. He loves “tagfest” the most, running through the park as his kids squeal with glee and “daddy, catch me” sounding over the fields.

Ennoshita documents every little bit of his children’s lives that he can, for posterity (and a little practice). But he makes sure to set the camera down and actually be in the moment with them, frequently caught off guard when he’s editing later to find his wife sneakily grabbed the camera and got some scenes with him as the main star.

Kinoshita is the best breakfast maker and loves doing it with his kids. They make a mess of the kitchen but the end results are usually delicious. They horse around a bit during the cleaning and it’s a bit loud but the job gets done.

Narita enjoys reading with his kids. They’ll pile on his lap either in bed or on the couch and he’ll pop open the book of the day, reading aloud and doing voices and sound effects much to his children’s delight.

Kageyama wasn’t sure at first if he wanted children, afraid he wouldn’t be suited for the roll of “dad”. But once he does have them he does well. Unsurprisingly, when they’re old enough, he’s the first to encourage them to try out volleyball but if they don’t want to, he doesn’t love them any less. He just tries to understand whatever they are in to.

Hinata is another energy filled dad, able to play for hours with his kids without seeming to break a sweat. He’s frequently seen with his “little crows” at official matches, swelling with pride whenever he hears squeals of encouragement whenever he scores.

Tsukishima tried to be firm in regards to keeping his kid out of his and his wife’s bedroom; that is their sanctuary. But when his little girl came crying during a loud and violent storm, he simply lifted her up, kissed her cheek, laid her between himself and her mother and snuggled away her fears.

Yamaguchi frequently plans playdates for his kids and those of his former teammates, usually on Sunday mornings or afternoons when most of – if not all – of them are available to get together. Occasionally they’ll go to an amusement park or zoo or some place similar but most of the time the dates consist of the dads chatting over simple sandwiches while their children run about a park and play together.

Ukai wasn’t sure he wanted kids since taking care of his “little rascals” was already so exhausting but eventually he decides he does want to and when he does he’s never lacking for willing babysitters, all of “his boys” from that first year of him coaching offering their help to raise his twin boys.

Aobajosai

Oikawa loves taking his two little twin girls shopping. Buying them cute, matching outfits just makes his day. They have way too many, but that doesn’t stop him from doing it. When they get older, they’re more resistant to it but will make sure to go at least once a year – on Father’s Day – and let their dad pick something for them.

Iwaizumi enjoys cooking and his Father’s Day tradition with his kids is finding a traditional dish – either from their country or another – and trying it out together. Whether it comes out right or they like it or not, it’s the experience of cooking together that they love. And if it doesn’t come out right, they just order take out.

Matsukawa frequently tortures his children when they are older with typical dad jokes, especially around their significant others when they start dating.

Hanamaki likes to do family outings / experiences with his kids on Father’s Day rather than have them buy him stuff he doesn’t really need. One year, when they were in middle school, he planned a volunteer day at a local shelter. At the end of the day he said, “Now that you have some of an idea of what it takes to take care of a dog, do you still want one?” When they all agree they did he told them to work together to pick one to take home.

Yahaba spends time with his kids doing art projects. They want to color? He’ll color with them. Paint? It’ll be outside with drop cloth and smocks but sure, why not? Sidewalk chalk and hopscotch? He’s there. Watching his kids be creative is one of his greatest joys.

Watari’s kids love to snuggle with him. They’ll crawl in his lap to watch a movie or beg him to lay with them during nap time when he’s home.

Kindaichi is rather competitive so he has to watch himself whenever he plays games with his kids not to get too into it. He won’t just let them win, though. They have to learn the agony of defeat, even in Mario Kart.

Kunimi – because of his dislike for loud, energetic beings – struggled through his kids toddler and young childhood years. He was there for them but it was a tough go. He does exceptionally well during the latter school years frequently being a source of help for them during homework time.

Kyotani is – unsurprisingly – fiercely protective of his kids. He can be a bit harsh with them but his attitude has mellowed out and they know above all else that he loves them. God help the boy who tries to date his daughter.

Nekoma

Kuroo is also fond of the dad jokes or science puns and frequently uses them to diffuse arguments with his kids, either between each other or with him.

Kenma – shockingly – loves playing video games with his kids. His proudest moment was when his son asked for his own PSP for his birthday.

Yamamoto, when they are old enough, teaches his daughters self defense to protect themselves from the numerous boys he just knows will be after them. They roll their eyes but do as told, teasing him with tidbits uncle Kuroo and Yaku told them about his own high school days. This only encourages him to increase the training, must to their chagrin.

Kai is the party planner for his kids’ birthday parties, taking whatever theme they want that year to the extreme and creating a wonderful experience for their guests and themselves.

Yaku loves baking with his kids. He’s always finding new recipes to try and they laugh their way through techniques they don’t understand, learning as they go and eating the fruits of their labor. After clean up, they go for a run or bike ride together to “burn off the sugar” before crashing for a nap.

Inuoka does finger puppet shows for his kids. He lets them make the characters out of arts and craft supplies then uses a stage box he built himself to put on productions for them. Sometimes they write the stories together and sometimes he makes it up for them to simply enjoy.

Lev is a master of hide and seek and his kids frequently challenge him in it. When his youngest managed to hide for over an hour it prompted him to put trackers on them, linked to their mother’s cell phone so he can’t cheat.

Other Team Favorites

Bokuto gives the best “horsey” rides, willing to get down on all fours and properly run about and buck, his children squealing with joy as they ride. It usually ends with Bokuto collapsed on the grass and his kids piling on top of him in fits of giggles.

Akaashi is a master at getting his babies to sleep. He rocks them gently, trailing his fingers over their forehead and down their eyelids prompting them to close. When they’re asleep, he lays them in their crib and watches them sleep for a little, a soft smile on his face.

Aone is a human jungle gym for his kids. They love to climb all over him, hanging from his strong arms or neck. They also love to wrestle with him, frequently ganging up to try to take him down. Aone just smiles quietly through it all, enjoying the time playing with his kids.

Koganegawa is just as entertained as his children watching animated movies. On Saturday nights, they cuddle together on the couch with snacks and drinks, pulling out of a hat what movie they’re going to watch from their massive collection.

Ushijima struggled in the beginning of fatherhood due to the unpredictability of children; babies in particular. But once he got the hang of the basics, he began to enjoy the experience more. The first time his son cuddled up and fell asleep on his chest he was a lost man; fatherhood, he decided, was the best thing to ever happen to him.

Semi is the dad whose kids can talk to him about and tell him anything. He takes their opinions, thoughts, ideas, worries, fears, arguments all in stride, allowing them to have their say (respectfully, there is no reason to be rude and it just makes you look stupid). When they’re done, he offers his advice, opinion or answer depending on the nature of the discussion. They may not always like what he says but they respect him because he respects them.

Tendo was quite nervous to have children to be honest. Would they like him? Would they think he was scary? Then, his daughter was born and all his fears melted. He might have shed a few tears, but he’ll never admit it. He gets her into manga when she’s older and the two of them will spend hours fanboy/girling over their favorites.

you guys…i have such good news!! so i got a letter in the mail and you know what?? I GOT ACCEPTED INTO STANFORD LAW SCHOOL!!!!! i was literally so happy and relieved i actually cried. so can you do v happy headcanons with oikawa, kuroo, and iwaizumi of them celebrating with fem! s/o?? but maybe exclude the sad “im moving to california” detail bc as of now i am in the mood for ONLY THE POSITIVES sorry

:

Hey,

that’s really amazing. Congratulations!!! We are really happy for you and we wish you all the best – Stanford Law School is amazing, and you can be proud of yourself!

Oikawa

  • Would squeal and scream and jump up and down with you – he believed in you all the way and he made sure you knew that
  • He already has a frame ready to put the acceptance letter in, and he will kiss your tear stained face all over
  • He is so proud, so happy – this calls for celebration; So he’ll ask you what you wanted to do and he will take you wherever you want and makes the day perfect
  • His pure and honest smile makes you melt and it has you squeal each time; He takes you out to buy cute notebooks and folders already, only lightweight things that are easy to transport; Your joy rises, seeing all those beautiful items
  • Lots of kisses and light touches, he is so happy, he can’t keep it in
  • The morning after, he will prepare breakfast in bed for you, with all your favorite foods; He’ll feed you strawberries and sweet grapes;

Kuroo

  • The moment he sees your smile he knows exactly what’s going on; Standing up, he wraps you in his arms, hugging you tight.
  • He is so proud and happy, and for once he is speechless
  • Looking at him you feel like teasing him, but his eyes stop you; So much love and pride and happiness that you decide to just kiss him senseless
  • He dances with you, like two crazy people you jump up and down and bump into each other, and once exhaustion hits, it turns into a slow and romantic dance, him whispering in your ear how amazing this is – how amazing you are
  • He will take you to your campus right away, take a look around and he will take a lot of pictures, setting you up for poses in front of the main building, in the library, in the nearby park

Iwaizumi

  • Would hug you close, kissing your head; He is so proud, his smile is so pure and his eyes look like they are dancing; He is so happy for you, so glad your dream came true;
  • Expect to be picked up and twirled, because he, too, is so excited for you – this new chapter will be full of adventures and he can’t wait to see you master everything;
  • He knew you were amazing, believed in you and trusted that you would get the acceptance letter; So when it finally arrived, he was overjoyed and seeing you flip and cry from joy, it makes him really happy;
  • He has a present all ready for you, and he is nervous to give it to you; When you first told him about your plans he was thrilled. Your goals set so high, he knew you would make it. So when he saw this beautiful pen, classic and chic and 100% you, he got it – he saved for it and he got it, because he wants you to have a high quality pen for this new chapter of your life – also because he heard you will be writing and taking notes a lot

Awwww!!! These made me melt!

Yoohoo 🎡 I want to know ur thoughts about the captains having a (one year) younger sister who is introspective, nerdy and clumsy! She’s rather independent two!

:

Daichi

  • Would give her space and
still watch over her; He would be subtle about it though, so she wouldn’t
notice. He wants her to spread her wings and be independent, but he always
    looks out for her;
  • If he senses something bad
coming her way, he intervenes; Again, he would prefer it if she didn’t notice,
but when it comes to protecting her from harm he doesn’t really care.
  • Since she is clumsy, he
would try to prevent accidents from happening due to this trait of hers. If she
tries carrying more than she should, he just grabs the things about to fall
before she even takes her first step.
  • He smiles at her nerdiness;
He thinks it’s endearing and he will bring her little tokens of her favorite
nerdy things – be it anime, books, games, whatever it is. He might tease her at
home, but when he sees something he knows she would enjoy, he would get it
  • He would also join her if
she were to go for an event; he would worry too much otherwise

Kuroo

  • Would tease his clumsy
little nerdy sister, maybe playing harmless pranks on her
  • He would definitely buy
whatever special edition item makes her heart soar and acts like he got it for
himself, satisfied as she pouts and rages
  • When with other people he
would watch her from afar, and he would notice everything. He would spit out
borderline teasing venomous comments at anyone who tries to flirt with his
sister, because nobody would be good enough for her
  • If anyone dares calling her
a nerd in an insulting way, Kuroo will be there to scare them; His tall frame
and serious face in combination with his unwavering voice will make anyone pee
their pants and noone calls his sister something negative ever again

Bokuto

  • Would cherish his sister.
He’d go with her to events full of joy, sharing her excitement for whatever. If
she is a game nerd, he will game with her, if she is into anime, he will watch
with her. Whenever they are at an event, he will take her on his shoulders so
she can see better, bouncing up and down and being quiet excited himself
  • He would laugh about the
clumsiness and the next thing they know, Bokuto drops his ice cream or stumbles himself; Which has both of them laughing hard
  • Would boast to others about
his sister. How thoughtful and smart she is, how she may seem all quiet and
shy, but is actually quiet more than just the nerdy thinker she appears to
    be
  • If she cheers for him, he
will get hyped and score a lot more points, just to make her see how amazing
    her big brother is

Yui

  • Would
    love her sister dearly just the way she is;
  • She
keeps trying to intervene if you start overthinking everything; Yui will know
and she will try to take some of your worries away and usually it works
  • Yui
will always know how to best support you so you can thrive to be the best version
of yourself possible; She will always praise you and help you if you need it
  • She
will laugh about your clumsiness, it reminds her of a newborn kitten
  • But
she will always ask if you are alright first – she wouldn’t laugh if you were
    hurt, ever;
  • She wouldn’t mind if you borrowed her clothes – she won’t show it, but seeing you combine her clothing and make them your style is intriguing
  • She loves to see you grow, your independance amazing as well as a little scary, since you’ll always be her baby sister

Moniwa

  • Won’t think much about it at all – you are his little sister and he cherishes you
  • When he realizes you don’t really need anyone to look after you, poor Moniwa feels so lost
  • Because he can’t help but try to look out for you; He feels the need to protect you from all harm, even if it is your own mind overthinking; But since he knows you, he will find a way to do so in a not-suffocating-manner
  • Especially since you are clumsy, Moniwa is always trying to help prevent any incidents, worrying about your health and safety
  • He doesn’t realize you are nerdy until someone points it out to him; And he doesn’t really care then either;
  • He’ll be an amazing older brother, supporting your nerd-needs, helping you get your hands on rare items

Futakuchi

  • He will have baby and childhood pictures of you ready for friends or potential s/o when needed – embarrassing ones. Ones right after you tripped, red faced and teary, ones where you are just about to fall, stumbling on your own feet
  • He will make fun of your clumsiness, but anyone dares joining in, he’ll make them pay
  • Your nerdy nature is a little weird to him, and he teases you about it too – he may even draw a mustache or pile of poop on your favorite poster when you fight
  • He’ll be sorry though and he will make it up to you
  • He acknowledges your independance, that doesn’t mean he won’t always be the cockblocker that he is – be prepared to see potential s/o run, because Futakuchi sure knows how to handle them
  • He has a way to tease you out of your introspective hole when he feels you are overdoing it

Oikawa

  • Has to watch out for his
sister 24/7 – he thinks everyone adores her and that nobody can have her,
because she is his wonderful innocent sister.
  • He is quite nerdy himself,
so to go all out on being a nerd with his sister, he would have so much fun
    getting them the same shirts, joining her for conventions or festivals;
  • If she gets too caught up
in over thinking or even criticizing herself he stops her, noticing the effect
those thoughts have on her immediately – he won’t let herself be trapped in her
    own mind.
  • Other than that he admires that she is more of a thinker, the way she
reflects everything familiar to him, especially since she has a talent to
notice anything in those around her as well

Ushijima

  • Would not think much of it.
He watches over her, but he doesn’t interfere. He doesn’t comment on her
clumsiness, but it only makes sense for him to try and prevent accidents. So if
she leaves cupboard doors open, he will just close them without a comment.
  • His direct way of phrasing
things makes her trust him, so when she gets caught up in a loop of self
    reflection and such, he snaps her out of it;
  • A little sister would be
nice in general, but for her to be nerdy is quite something. Ushijima doesn’t
get the hype his sister feels about certain things, but he likes to watch and
listen to her go on and on about it

Terushima

  • He’d try to make it sound fun, but he is actually a really worried brother because of your clumsy nature
  • He is always afraid you hurt yourself, but he knows you won’t have him hovering over you, so he cracks jokes and tries to get rid of anything that could lead to you running into it or slipping
  • The way you reflect on yourself and others, and how you seem to think so much about everything, Teru admires that – and he likes to talk to you about your thoughts and hear your opinion

Daishou

  • Although he appears to be a tad bit of a brat at times, he is actually a true, gentle and loving big brother one could ask for.
  • He has a soft spot for her nerdiness – may tease about it just to poke fun but doesn’t mean it to hurt her feelings.
  • In fact, he would even go buy her a whole load of things of what she likes to help her with completing her collections. He would be a bit tsundere about it, too; but she could still see that happy tug of his lips.
  • Would wonder how could one be that clumsy – questions it once in a while. Daishou would lightly scold her to be more careful, because, seriously. He is genuinely worried for her well being.
  • Even with her being quite the independent person she is, he would keep an eye on her. He is protective of her, and is ready to give a punch to the guts if someone ever dared to lay a finger on her innocent self.

Kita

  • Would wonder where the
clumsiness comes from, but is used to it.
  • Tries to get rid of any
dangers for her clumsiness to take form, but fails because she would still find
things to bump into or throw over
  • He would take her nerdy
nature as it is, it is a given to him and he doesn’t mind.

So cute!! I especially loved Bokuto’s!

Nsfw Daddy kink oikawa and female reader plz 💦

haikyuu-imagines-and-others:

hq-cuties-pls:

So we might have taken this in a completely different direction. Oikawa just doesn’t strike us as a daddy, so we took a bit of inspiration from this post instead. We had entirely too much fun writing this, though, so we hope you’ll enjoy it anyway!

~The Admins

Oikawa was transfixed; he stared at the spot where he slid in and out of you with every provocative roll of your hips. He loved it when you rode him like this, one hand bracing yourself on his chest, the other brushing your hair back from your face. Your eyes were hooded and dark, and you were biting your lower lip in that way that drove him wild.

He grabbed your hips, rolling them and helping you bounce on his cock in a way that made a tingle build at the base of his spine. He groaned when you tightened on the way down; he wanted to make you feel good too. You hissed when he pressed his calloused thumb against your clit, working it in smooth, rhythmic circles. God, you were so good.

“Tooru,” you cooed, biting your lip coquettishly. He swallowed hard–that look usually meant something good… or something very, very bad. “How does it feel, Tooru?”

“Good,” he said, gasping and writhing underneath you. “So good… so good… please. Please.

You tapped your lips, like you were considering his request. No matter what he did, or how he moved, you maintained the same infuriatingly even pace. It felt amazing, but it gave him no leverage, and brought him no closer to orgasm. He knew you would finish him at some point, and when that point came it would be amazing… but at the moment, it was torture. And he didn’t know how to make it stop.

“Are you sure you want it?”

“Yes,” he cried. “Please, ____-chan, please!”

“Alright, but don’t say I didn’t warn you,” you said, brandishing the little remote in your hands.

His eyes widened, and he was suddenly reminded of the slim toy inside him. It wasn’t much–thinner than his littlest finger–but he remembered it had curved dramatically at the end, and it would only take a slight shift of his hips to have that curve pressed directly on his prostate. Your grin turned manic–almost evil–before you clicked the button.

You didn’t bother with building it up slowly. It went from zero to maximum, and it stole his breath right from his chest. He arched so harshly, his spine looked like it might snap. His whole lower body seized and cramped, paralyzed by pleasure so intense it bordered on pain. With the vibrations came a steadier rhythm from you, and the hand that had been braced on his chest slid up to curl around the base of his throat. There was no danger, and you knew him better than he knew himself sometimes, so he wasn’t afraid. But that little pinpoint of instinctual fear added an edge to his impending orgasm that had it racing like a wild stallion.

He felt out of control. His hands opened and closed uselessly, his hips bucked in aborted little thrusts, and he twitched all over, but all he could do was lie on the bed and feel it. He lost total control of his voice; you didn’t back off, you didn’t stop, you didn’t let up. The tightness in his belly exploded out to his limbs, heat radiating from his center, until it could no longer be stopped.

“Oh, fuck, daddy,” he cried as he spilled into the condom, thrusting up into you until he was near sobbing with overstimulation. The vibrator mercifully clicked off, and you gingerly climbed off of him. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close while his chest heaved, trying to regain his breath. His entire body felt over-sensitive and wrung out, and he could have sworn he was still seeing stars.

“Tooru?” you said, sounding puzzled–almost amused.

“Mn?” he managed, not quite capable of words yet.

“Did you just call me daddy?

He froze, his eyes going wide as saucers. His mind rewinded slowly, and–oh, god. He had. The knowledge settled like a stone in his gut, sheer mortification washing over him like icy water. He covered his face with his hands, incapable of looking you in the eye.

“No!” he squeaked. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

“Tooru–”

“No. I–Please, just leave me here to die. It’s okay. I lived a good life.”

You snorted… oh, god. You were laughing at him? He just committed a cardinal bedroom sin and you were laughing. Great. Fantastic.

“Dear lord, why are you like this,” you chuckled. He peeked out through his fingers, and you were clutching your middle, near doubled over in laughter.

“Oh, shut up,” he grumbled, pulling the sheet over his head. “Just leave me to my tomb.”

“Oh, my god, Tooru, come out of there,” you said, poking him in the side.

“No Tooru here,” he said petulantly, crossing his arms (even though you couldn’t see it). “Come back during business hours. Which is never. Because I’m dead.”

“Tooru. Come out here and look at me. Please?” You poked him in the side again, gentler this time.

He twitched–he was ticklish there. “Noooooo,” he whined dramatically. A moment later, though, he pulled the sheet off of his head, a petulant scowl ready and waiting for you–but your soft, gentle expression sort of took the wind out of his sails.

“Look, I’m not mad, or upset, or… I don’t know, ashamed? I get it. I wasn’t expecting it per se, but I get it. It was intense. And you have absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about, alright?”

“Well, I am embarrassed about it,” he said, though he did let himself respond to your fingers in his hair. But he most certainly did not purr. Nope. “I mean, you’re not even a daddy. Not tall enough. Not muscular enough. I’m not even a daddy… Iwa-chan, on the other hand–”

You cut him off with an affectionate punch to the shoulder; “Yeah, nice to know you’re thinking about him when we’re having sex.” Your wry expression took the sting out of your insults. And your punches. “Just for that, I’m stealing your snack and watching the next season of Great British Bake-Off by myself.”

“Oh, don’t do that! I can take a lot, but you are bound by the rules of the Geneva Convention like the rest of us, ____-chan!”

You rolled your eyes, pressing an affectionate kiss to his lips; “I love you, you giant dweeb. Even if you are a drama queen.”

“I love you too,” he replied, waggling his eyebrows, “Daddy.

Omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I cackled so hard at Oikawa trying to cover up his cry out 😂😂😂

Awwwwwwww I LOVE the idea of Oikawa calling his lover “Daddy” be they female or male

GREAT job guys!! Amazingly done and perfect banter! Spot on characteristics of Oikawa, too!

So hot and yet so hysterical. Well done!

Can I request a fluffy mini scenario of the captains + Tendou and Asahi with their gf on their period? I don’t know if you’ve done ones like this before, but I thought that I could at least ask. Love you guys! Keep up the great work! ( ・∇・)

Hehe, this is super cute and A+++ character spread. This was fun to write
~Admins Emma and Alyx

Daichi: He is 100% On It™ and is ready at the drop of a hat for anything you need. He wouldn’t be caught dead saying stuff like “it can’t be that bad” or anything of the sort–he knows he can’t (and shouldn’t) relate. He has your favorite snacks, a heating pad and other supplies, a favorite movie and comfy clothes on stand-by. He does give amazing tummy rubs and back rubs, plus he is a top-tier cuddle partner. Couldn’t ask for much better, to be honest.

Oikawa: Junk food. All of the junk food. You name it, he’s bought it for you. He makes damn sure you won’t want for anything. Honestly, though, you hardly need all the sugar with how sweet he’s being! He also has some top-tier shitty movies queued up on Netflix for the two of you to watch while you cuddle and binge on sweets (he bought them for you, but his sweet tooth is insatiable, so he definitely ‘helps’).

Kuroo: He’s also On It, but he can be such a shit sometimes. He just does it to make you feel better, to be honest. His teasing is always loving, he only steals snacks when he knows for sure you’re done with them, and he always makes up for making you  mad with tummy rubs, store runs, and basically treating you like a queen until you feel better. His favorite form of comfort is a soothing bubble bath with a fancy bath bomb, a scented candle, soft music, and a shoulder rub. He doesn’t care about the blood–not when his baby is hurting–and after the bath he’ll sack out with you. Nap time is the best time when he’s your cuddle partner, after all.

Bokuto: He’s such a provider, but he’s a little bit extra? You want ice cream? Well, be prepared, because he doesn’t know what flavor you want, so he gets you 10. You want movies? Full-on Disney, Ghibli, and MCU marathon, depending on the mood. He just wants to be there for you and sometimes forgets how. He worries. But his warm hands are basically a built in heating pad, he gives the absolute best head massages, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. Sometimes literally, and not always for the better. He really does mean well…

Ushijima: Poor child, he tries, but he’s so confused. Do you need medical attention? Are you OK? You aren’t going to hit him, are you? He does have some supplies on hand (or he’s more than willing to go get some at the store, he doesn’t care) and will make sure you’re hydrated and fed and taken care of. In the end, all he can do is hold you and try his best, but really, his snuggles are pretty rad, and he’s more than willing to do anything you ask of him, so it’s pretty alright, all things considered.

Asahi: Sweet angel hates seeing you in pain at all. He gets mountains of snacks and supplies (he gets a bit flustered with the looks he gets when he’s in the feminine hygiene section, but he pulls through just fine) and settles in for a movie marathon. He likes to hold you anyway, and if you seem to relax a bit more when he cuddles you, then even better. He wishes he could do more for you, but he knows it’s temporary, and with monthly practice, he sort of becomes a pro at making you feel better.

Tendou: They say laughter is the best medicine, right? So maybe that logic doesn’t 100% hold true with cramps, but Tendou’s absurd anime marathon he’s prepared for you definitely gets points for distracting you from the pain (honestly, where does he even find this stuff?). He’s also super attentive, and once he’s been with you for a while he often knows what you need before you can even tell him. Heating pad? Check. Chocolate? Check. You name it, he has it covered.

Hi this has been edited for reasons

Precious boys, these are so heartwarming!

Oikawa- A Brand New Day

ASK: Morning fluff scenario w/ oikawa and fem s/o

I have no idea why this came out with a melancholy under tone but it does have some fluff in it. Either way, I hope you enjoy!

Nestled under the warmth of the covers, Oikawa lay with his elbow propped, head resting against his palm and watched the rise and fall of her chest, his other hand itching to touch but because he didn’t want to wake her this early, he refrained from doing so. It used to bother him that he’d wake up so much earlier than her, the habit ingrained from years and years of rising before dawn to warm up his knee, stretch, run, stretch some more and shovel down breakfast before hightailing it to the gym for extra practice, always pushing himself; more, more more!

But then she’d come along, quite literally stumbling across him when a late night practice session in their college gym had resulted in him twisting his ankle (first the knee, now the ankle) and crying out in pain. She’d rushed in, not watching where she was going and fell over him. Only she didn’t stay down long, rotating swiftly to rush to his aid.

He knew he’d been anything but grateful to her in that moment, angry at himself, angry at his knee, angry at the world for cursing him with a body just strong enough to get him one step away from his ultimate goals before failing him at the last moment.

Now, he could laugh at the memory of her tiny frame working to heft his larger one upon her shoulders, insistent he get some help. They’d made it halfway to the trainer’s office before the vice captain came upon them and took over.

His ankle pulsed as he shifted closer, bringing him back to the present, but he ignored it in favor of stroking her cheek, apparently unable to keep his hands off her.

He smiled softly as she snored, a little drool sneaking out making him chuckle. “So sloppy my sweetness,” he chided in a whisper.

She grunted, rolling to her side but not waking up even as she sought more of his warmth; he did run hotter than most.

Feeling the protest of tiring muscles in his arms, Oikawa eased back down, hoping not to move the mattress too much and thus actually wake her from slumber. As the sun slowly rose in the east, rays muted by the sheer curtains upon the windows, her eyes blinked open to meet his own.

“Hey,” she yawned through a stretch, “how long have you been awake?”

He shrugged. “Not sure, since before the sun made an appearance.”

She clicked her tongue. “You’re crazy, I can’t believe you still wake up so early.” A shudder racked her body. “Damn, it’s cold in here! Did you turn the heater off again Tooru?”

He didn’t reply, instead rolling on top of her, tugging the covers as he went to encase them in a cocoon of sheets and blankets. “We have all the heat we need right here,” he teased, brushing his nose up the side of her neck.

Giggling she pressed two fingers against his forehead and pushed. “Already? I just woke up! Can’t we have breakfast first?” He grabbed her hand, kissing the palm before resting it against his chest. At the serious look on his face, her brows furrowed with concern and her other hand reached up to caress his face. “Tooru?”

He shook his head. “It’s nothing, I just…damn, I really love you,” he confessed, leaning down to capture her lips with his own, the kiss chaste but long. Resting his forehead against her own he went on, “Being yours is the greatest thing to have ever happened to me.”

“Ok, what’s gotten into you?” she teased. “Bad dream?”

He shook his head again. “No, just thankful you didn’t give up on me.” His voice was soft, fragments of melancholy laced together with his sincere gratitude.

Her arms wound round his neck, drawing their chests flush together. “Breakfast can wait,” she admitted, then kissed him again.
