Matchup for @vball-baes-bball-babes

serves-up:

Thank you in advance for a match up!
Personality: outgoing, I’m the person at a party who will try to make sure everyone is having a good time and that no one is being ignored. I love having people over to enjoy good food, games and laughs with. But I can also be quite the homebody when my energy is drained from work or too many social activities in a row (it’s a delicate balance I guess). I love to make people happy and try to listen to their needs as well as their wants so I can make that happen. If it’s not possible, then I’ll just be there for you. I’ve often been told I’m faithful, a friend you can count on even if the two of us haven’t seen or even spoken to each other in a long time. I try not to burn bridges but if I feel a person is toxic to my health I’ve grown better at letting them go rather than constantly trying to “fix” the relationship. I’m protective of my friends and tend to “mother” or “big sister” them a lot but it’s never seemed to garner negative reactions, people tend to like to be taken care of every once in a while. I can be explosive in my feelings, whether they are good or bad but I work hard to balance and not become a crazy person. As much as I love being surrounded by friends or family, I value one on one time with the people closest to me because that is really where relationships are fostered and solidified. I’m the person you can call at any hour of the day or night and if I’m able to help you, I will.
Looks: I’m female, 5’ 6”, curvy with an hourglass figure. I wear glasses all the time and have brown eyes and brown shoulder length hair.
Sexuality: Straight
Hobbies: Writing, reading, watching anime, movies or TV shows. I love to cook and bake and often spend time looking at new recipes to try (though whether I actually manage to get around to doing them is another story). I used to play volleyball and softball both of which I miss. I also used to play racquetball and hope to get back into it after I heal up from my back issues.
Likes: Cuddling and kisses, being held while my hair is played with or my back is rubbed. I adore animals but my favorites are dogs. I call literally anything a “puppy”; could be the biggest Great Dane you’ve ever seen and I’d still call it a puppy. I like people who are loyal and honest, who know how to have a good time but are not slackers. Being responsible and mature are attractive factory to me but there needs to be a spark of fun otherwise things can get pretty boring. I love action movies and comedies. Not huge on romance movies but I have a few that are my favorite. I LOVE to read mysteries and ghost stories, often wishing I lived somewhere that it rained more to set the mood (I’m a dork I know).
Dislikes: Rude, pushy people. People who insult rather than constructively criticize. Bugs give me the heebie jeebies. Horror movies are too intense for me, along with haunted houses (funny considering my choice in literature). Shouting and anger make me uncomfortable and I don’t handle confrontation well all the time. I tend to stick to the background when there’s a really intense argument going on or I just leave if I’m a bystander.
I hope that’s enough (or not too much) and really look forward to what you come up with.

( ^∀^) no worries! The more info you give me, the easier it is to make a decision.

I ship you with Kuroo Tetsurou!

Kuroo is more attracted to outgoing, social people, despite what some may think. Although he seems to be a pretty lowkey person and is a close friend to someone very introverted, he is more naturally pulled to someone who can be his partner in crime and he can easily convince to help him prank others/go on midnight adventures/or whatever comes to his mind. He’s also like you in a sense when it comes to social activities, he needs his alone time as well so he’d certainly respect your space. He’d love the fact you’re willing to talk to others too! He’s pretty able to talk to people but he hates to be the only one contributing to a conversation. He thinks your love for horror/mystery is so precious! He could just sit and listen to you talk about t for so long, although he may not care much for the topic, he thinks it’s so adorable you can speak so passionately about something. Same thing with your emotions, he isn’t very open with his expressions or emotions, so he just thinks it’s so cute how honest you are and how you basically wear your heart on your sleeve. Kuroo is not a slacker by any sense, but he’s definitely down to goof off every once in a while. Also he’s a tactile person as well. He’d often just plop himself of top of you and refuse to let go whenever he wants some affection. And silent cuddling sessions while watching stupid comedies and making the occasional joke is just a perfect date as going out somewhere to him. Also, you won’t have to worry about yelling or explosive anger for him, he’s very good and controlling his emotions and calming down before acting. He’s a dog person too! And you calling all dogs puppies is just ANOTHER thing he finds so precious and endearing about you. It’s just…so cute.

You two would probably meet at a party Bokuto was hosting. You preferably stick with your group of friends, and via eeny-meeny-miney-moe, you were chosen to go get the drinks and bring them back. You walk down to the drink table, and Bokuto stops you to give you a warm welcome, and lo and behold, Kuroo is right at his side. He starts chatting you up and the rest is history. You two hang out at the party, pranking people and just talking about random stuff to get to know each other. After a whole night of hanging out with this dude (you ran into your friends, who were a little peeved about their lack of drinks revived from you, however they realize what happened and let you venture off with him), you two get pretty close. He (awkwardly) asks for your number before you go and you give it to him. Afterwards, you two would have a few “dates but not officially dates because we haven’t said anything about our feelings yet” hanging out at his house, going on late night adventures, and even just meeting at local hangouts before he asks you out officially.

@vball-baes-bball-babes

OMG!! I freaking LOVE Kuroo so I was grinning from ear to ear reading this. I think every point is so true! Thanks for this and the scenario is just too fun because I also love Bokuto so love the idea of being friends with him!!

Grape isn’t always Great (Kuroo x Reader)

serves-up:

“Hiiii, would it be possible to ask a scenario of Kuroo x reader of kissing in the dark? Like his friend/crush stays over because there is a storm and they are watching tv but the power goes off and it goes from there? Thank you :)”

BAD TITLE WARNING LOL

“Grape is gross.”

“You’re gross.”

Today was the first day of summer and you decided to spend it at Tesurou’s house. It’s been storming for a while, so you two haven’t been able to do much outside as planned, so you decided to stay inside and overdose of popsicles. However, he has the weirdest favorite ever, and you were determined to shame him for it. I mean, who in reality REALLY enjoys grape?

“Tetsu, imitation grape flavor is a crime against humanity. I mean, it doesn’t even really taste like grape. It’s GROSS.” You argued.

“Tell that to my tastebuds.” He remarked, flashing you his purple tongue. “This popsicle is delicious, your brain just doesn’t have the power to process all the deliciousness.”

You snorted and rolled your eyes, deciding not to argue more on the topic. The commercials for the show you were watching just ended, and you weren’t keen on missing a single second.

“ Geez, it’s really pouring down out there, huh?“

You looked up at Testurou, following his gaze to the nearby window. He wasn’t kidding, it’s practically raining cats and dogs out there.

“Yeah, maybe soon we’ll have to face off against a giant flood all Sharknado style soon. If a giant shark gets me Tetsu, you better sacrifice yourself to save me.”

Tetsurou chuckled at your witty response. “We’ll see about that. I mean, It’s not even scientifically possible for that to happen.” He said, mock arrogantly, throwing his old popsicle stick away and unraveling a new, sadly purple, one.

You were about to explain to him that ‘Duh, it’s just a movie, Tetsu.’ however, before you could finish a sentence, a crash of thunder sounded loud enough to make even the house shudder and lights flicker.

“Fuck. I need to charge my phone.” Tetsurou sat up and set his popsicle down, making a beeline towards the nearest outlet. Just as he was about to plug his phone in, darkness shrouded you two.

“FUCK.”

You laughed at his torment, even though you two were both in the same situation, it was still funny to see him fail.

“Do you have any battery left?” Tetsurou asked, hope sounding in his voice.

“Nope.”

Tetsu groaned, obviously upset at this predicament. “How am I gonna send Koutarou that bomb ass meme now. I mean, He needed to see it immediately. It was really good.”

“I’m sure he’ll be fine.” You said, attempting to comfort him. “I’m sure the power will come on soon.”

“You’re right.” Tetsu replied. “Hey, where are you anyway? I can’t really see.”

“Just follow my voice, I’m still here on the couch.”

You heard the careful footsteps of Tetsurou while he made his way toward you, and soon enough he plopped down on the couch beside you.

“Welcome back.” You greeted him. “What should we do now?”

Instead of being answered by some stupid idea, you felt Tetsurou shift a bit, facing more towards you.

“Um, hello? Earth to Tetsu. I’m talking to you.”

He coughed awkwardly, before replying. “Uh, s-sorry. I’m just thinking about something.” You could hear a slight waver in his usually confident tone. It must be something serious. You shifted, facing him now, in order to listen to him more efficiently.

“Do you wanna talk about it?”

Tetsurou went oddly silent for a bit. “…I can’t really tell you…but I can show you?”

Okay, now you really didn’t understand. Why did he say that like a question, and what did he mean?

“How would you do that? It’s pretty dark in here. I can barely see anything.”

Tetsu chuckled, he still sounded a bit nervous, however. You felt his presence move close to you. “Please,” he started, reaching out and cupping your face in his hands. “D-don’t think I’m weird after this.”

Suddenly, you felt a lukewarm, soft sensation on your lips. Tetsu kissed you apprehensively, his lips trembled slightly as he applied more pressure, hoping you would return the action.

Which you did.

You had to admit, you’ve wanted to kiss him for a while, but you didn’t expect it to be in a situation like this. His lips were a little chapped and tasted like…dare you say it…grape.

You pulled away, too quickly for his liking.

“Tetsu, gross, your lips taste like grape.”

Tetsu laughed softly, the nerves and general awkwardness seemed to fade away from his tone after he knew he wasn’t rejected.

“Well, it would be GRAPE if you’d still kiss me again.

You groaned, his punnage is too much for you.

“Not until you rinse out your mouth.”

This is freaking ADORABLE!! I love the banter and puns, super cute!!

This prompt was given to me by my lovely mutual @capturingmyvanishingthoughts ! Hope I did your thoughts some justice, lovey!!!

He knew the snickers erupting in the corner of the room were meant for him, they always were. It was a daily occurrence that he had grown accustomed to, and subsequently learned to ignore. He knew he had friends who had loved him, and although he had told himself countless times that they were the only people who mattered, it still stung to feel the eyes of others boring into his skull when all he was doing was living his life.

There were very few people in this class who didn’t go out of their way to make him uncomfortable in one way or another. There were a few boys from the soccer team who payed him no mind, and probably only respected him due to his relations with Ushijima. Then there was a quiet girl who sat by herself in the front left corner of the room. Her name was __, or maybe it was ~~, but Tendou didn’t know for sure. Tendou wasn’t even sure if he has ever even heard her speak, exempt the times where she answers a question in class. She was a subject of taunting as well, but not as violently as he was. Tendou always had a snarky remark in store to retaliate, and that’s what made them always come back. That was his biggest flaw, cynicism. __ just sat there with her head down, or her face in a book. They couldn’t get a rise out of her, therefore, she wasn’t interesting. Tendou almost felt bad for her, on certain days. She didn’t seem to have many friends, but didn’t seem to want to make any. He debated reaching out to her one time, but he figured she didn’t want to be reached out to. Tendou knew what it was like to be alone, but wanting to be alone was a completely different subject for him.

Everybody had been seated for a while now, most kids on their phones or muttering with their friends. It was ironic that the homeroom teacher always wound up fifteen minutes late on Monday mornings, when students are at their worst. Minutes passed and the flow of the class was going the same, people talking, a few token kids looking over their homework, the staring. Tendou didn’t like to focus on it directly, rather he payed attention peripherally. He stared at one point on his desk, a book or a pen, and simply listened in. Some called it eavesdropping, but he preferred to call it, “gathering information”. So, when out of the corner of his eye he saw two chairs pull away from their desks, he wasn’t really surprised.

“Hey Tendou.” Someone chirped in cynical sing song. Queue Tendou rolling his eyes, and shooting the perpetrator a fake smile. He didn’t say anything, but they came over, nonetheless.

“How are you today?” Another laughed, creeping up behind him and leaning his arm against Tendou’s chair.

“Wonderful.” He muttered, continuing to mind his own business, hoping they would make it short and sweet today. Although it wasn’t physical, it hurt, and he couldn’t wait for it to be all over.

“You’re looking particularly ugly today. Did you do anything new?” A girl creeped up on his side and squatted down, resting her elbows against his desk. Out of everyone, Tendou hated her the most. She overzealously fancied Ushijima, and like Tendou, she wouldn’t leave Ushijima alone, but for a different reason. She wore too much eye shadow and kissed up to boys for money, and if Tendou was being honest, she was definitely a bitch. It was something he’s said to her before, but payed for it in return.

“Well, nothing’s different about me today but I could ask you the same question.” She shot him a bored expression in reply and pursed her lips, scooting her elbows father back on the desk to move away from him. He was parasitic to her.

“Has anyone ever told you you’re kind of an asshole, Tendou?”

“I could say the same thing to you.”

“At least people like me. The only reason you aren’t dead is ‘cause you kiss Ushijima’s ass.”

“You’re being kinda contradictory today, aren’t you? Keep going though, it’s funny.” Out of the corner of his eye, he saw somebody else approaching. He figured it was another student who would just pass by and ignore the situation, so he ignored them. The guy gripping the back of his chair seemed to be gripping harder, though. All Tendou did was cross his arms over his chest.

“Stop acting cocky, freak.” The guy muttered, and the girl nodded in reply.

“I wonder why you look like a freak. I’ve never really thought about that. Hey, why do you think he looks like a freak?” The girl nodded at the guy behind him, then towards Tendou.

“Could be the fuckin’ Satan eyes.”

“I think it’s the hair that sells it. What are you, a fuckin’ super saiyan?” She laughed, then closed her eyes, humming and thinking to herself for a moment. “Isn’t there a saying that gingers don’t have souls? ‘Cause that would explain a lot for you, Tendou.”

Tendou continued to pay no mind to her, just focusing on the same spot on his desk; a book he hadn’t been reading that he had to write an essay for in a week. Suddenly, though, he saw the same person walk up to his table, and set their hand right by his arm. He looked up, only to see __, the nerdy quiet girl from the front left corner of the classroom. He wasn’t necessarily confused, but he definitely was a bit stunned to see her standing next to him. Then, the girl who didn’t speak, spoke.

She tapped the girl on the shoulder, only for her to shoot her a dirty look and pop up on her tiptoes to try and loom over her. __ didn’t look amused, pushing up her glasses with her thumb before clearing her throat. Whatever she wanted to say, the former beat her to it.

“The hell do you want, nerd? I can’t believe you’re actually-”

Just like a slow motion scene out of a movie, Tendou watched as __ cranked her arm behind her, and as hard as her small structure could, slapped the girl across the face and sent her stumbling back onto the desk in front of him. The sound of the impact made the entire class to go silent, and Tendou swore he could hear it echo off the walls. Nobody said anything, just stared in awe at the quiet girl who made the loudest scene.

“Holy shit…” Tendou muttered under his breath, watching her as she brushed her hands against her ironed skirt. He could feel goosebumps prickling at his skin, and although he had no relations with this girl at all, he felt overwhelmingly proud.

The girl stood up and gasped, offended, but didn’t throw any physical blows back. Tendou figured she must’ve been as shocked as he was, as everyone was.

“The fuck was that for, bitch?” She cried, standing up and getting in __’s face again. __ merely shrugged.

“It’s for you being absolutely ignorant. It’s a reality check for how pathetic you’re being. Do you really have nothing better to do with your lives than bully someone in your senior year of high school? I’ve been watching you this entire year and every day I think Iose more and more brain cells just breathing the same air as you imbeciles. It’s actually hilarious that you think you have any relevancy in this world for someone who sits around and makes fun of someone who did absolutely nothing wrong, somebody you barely know and chose to judge based off physical features you find lacking to your own. If anybody’s the freak, it’s you.” __ told her off with little expression on her face, but Tendou picked up on the way her eyebrow twitched. In fact, it was the lack of expression she bestowed that made Tendou realize this was the most belligerent he had ever seen anyone in his life. She glanced down at him for a split second, and only a split second, before looking back up at the girl.

“And before you try to tell me off- think about what you’re going to say. Are you going to try to belittle me with childish insults, or are you actually going to try and debate me like an adult? Because until you actually have a mindset of somebody who’s graduating this year, I don’t want to talk to you. Same goes for you.” She nodded at the guy who was holding onto Tendou’s chair, who miraculously wasn’t holding on anymore. “I’m willing to accept any punishment I receive for hitting you, because in the end I know I’m right. I’ll continue to do it again and again until you realize what you’re doing is pathetic. Keep that in mind.”

The girl’s jaw had dropped halfway through __’s tangent. All three of them, and the rest of the class, watched as __ bowed in front of her, then trotted back to her seat and pulled out her book as nothing had ever happened. Tendou looked up at the girl standing by his desk, arms limp at her sides, tears in her eyes. The slap mark on her cheek was evident, but the shock more so. Everybody was still silent, afraid if they made a noise, __ would snap. All Tendou could hear was the way his heart was hammering in his chest. His adrenaline was kicking, and he wasn’t even the one who told the girl off. Though, the bursting feeling in his stomach was telling him that he was thrilled. Somebody had stood up for him, for the first time in eighteen years of his life. That person being the proclaimed nerd, especially. It was the most dauntless thing he had ever seen, and that’s what made his heart race faster. He couldn’t wait to tell Ushijima and Semi about this later.

A few minutes later, the teacher walked into classroom, stunned for a completely different reason. “You lot are awfully quiet today! Oops, I shouldn’t say that, I don’t want to jinx myself.” He chuckled at his own lame joke and took a seat at his desk, still unaware about how everyone sat statue in their seats. Nobody dared to open their mouths, and nobody dared to mention anything about what just occurred.

The next day at school, Tendou made it explicit to himself to go and thank __ sometime today. Not one person in the halls gave him a nasty glare, nobody bothered to bump into him while he was at his locker, and most importantly, nobody in the class dared to even look his way. The girl had been sitting in her seat with her eyes towards the floor the entire time. Tendou tried glaring at her for a minute, to see if she was actually unwilling to attack him. He figured she sensed his eye on her, she had to, but she still didn’t move. She didn’t even spare him a glance, and to Tendou, that was wonderful. As for everyone else, instead of huddling in their groups and gossiping about their crushes new Instagram photo, there was heavy discourse about __.

As long as Tendou could remember, __ was always the first one to arrive in class. Suspiciously, though, she wasn’t seated in her usual spot in the front left corner of the room, and class was about to start in three minutes, which was even odder. This struck the rumor that she was in trouble, that she was placed in school hour detention, or even suspended. Even though __ had hit another girl, Tendou deemed it highly unlikely that she was given any heavy form of punishment. She had a perfect record, kept on the down-low and he was positive the principal didn’t even know her name. The worst she could’ve gotten was forced volunteer work, or a day of after school detention. That didn’t really explain why she as absent, though. Her catching a cold would be too ironic for the situation, and her just merely skipping, even more so. Although all suspicions subsided when the classroom door creaked open. __ walked in with her bag and a book as she did every day. She looked absolutely fine, the same uniform, the same tired look, although, one thing was clearly different.

For some odd reason, the girl who would rather be mixed into the crowd than the center of attention, dyed her hair blue. It wasn’t even a dull blue that would be looked passed in a mere second. It was neon, almost blinding, and if it weren’t for the signature way it frizzed up, Tendou would’ve thought it was a cosplay wig. Everyone was silent until she sat down, and swung that bright mop over her shoulder. Then everyone turned back to their respective groups and started scream whispering about her hair.

“Why would she do that for him?”

“Isn’t she graduating top of our class? She’s ruining her chance to look professional.”

“Ya think she has a crush on Tendou?”

Tendou would’ve approached her then, but she seemed like she would rather not be approached. If he wasn’t in a public setting like this, he swore he would start crying. She began this rendezvous by slapping a girl, then went and dyed her hair an obscure color, for him. She was making a scene out of herself to make a statement about him, and just the mere thought of it was overwhelming. He couldn’t wait for this class to end so he could pull her aside in the halls.

As soon as the bell rang and he saw __ rise from her seat, Tendou wasted no time running after her. It saddened him to see so many people glaring at her in the hallway, turning to their friends and laughing about what a stupid decision she had made. The moment he got close enough to her, he tapped her shoulder. She looked up at him and her expressionless face immediately turned downwards. For some reason she was shocked, almost as if she was afraid of his confrontation. He muttered a quick, “hi” before leading her down an empty hall. She followed him willingly, which proved she wasn’t that scared of her impending confrontation. Maybe she was just shocked that she was being confronted in the first place.

“__, is it?” Tendou asked once she sat down next to him by the door of a vacant classroom.

“That would be me.”

“__, you’re the most badass person I’ve ever met in my entire life.” Tendou watched as her eyebrows raised at the statement, and for the first time in his life, watched her lips curl into a smile. He had to admit, it was pretty adorable.

“Thank you, but I disagree.” She shook her head and pushed her bright blue hair in front of her cheeks. “I think I was just being a decent human being, that’s all.”

“If decent human beings are superheroes, c’mon! You decked someone, it was incredible!” Tendou nudged her in the shoulder to watch her smile again. He figured she wasn’t used to being complimented. “I have to ask you though, __, why’d you do that? I mean, I’m definitely not mad, no no no. Nobody’s ever stuck up for me, though. So why’d you do it?”

__ took a moment to think, taking a deep breath before blowing out of her nose.

“I hate bullying. It’s pathetic, don’t you agree? Whether you’re eight years old or eighteen, it’s all the same. I knew that you were bullied for a while now, I mean, everybody does. I’ve been wanting to call them out on it for a while but… I just had no idea how. But then… then it was happening right in front of me, I was already having a bad day to begin with, and the moment I saw her just, slither up next to you I lost it. And, and, and I have no idea why they would bully on you in the first place! If they knew anything about what you do at volleyball, I assure you they’d never speak to you again.”

Tendou looked down at her, amused, and shook his head.

“You’re definitely something, aren’t you? And uh, how do you know about volleyball? You don’t seem like the type to be into that stuff.”

“Me and Kenjirou are friends from middle school. I started going to your games for him but now I… I go for you.” She whispered the last part, and if Tendou wasn’t so attentive to her words, he would’ve missed it.

“Oh stop it, you’re making me blush.” He teased, hitting her on the arm lightly as if they were old friends.

“I mean it. I find you realy interesting and, oh dear, I sound really creepy, don’t I?”

“Nah, it’s flattering. You know what else is flattering? This hair.” Tendou laughed, and a silly smile crossed __’s face.

“I know. I know. It’s kinda bad.”

“Why’d you do it though? Was it on your bucket list to slap a bitch then dye your hair blue?”

“Who has a bucket list like that?”

“I dunno. You just seem different enough already.” Tendou shrugged.

“I kinda did it for you, too. I’m not obsessive, I promise. I heard her say something about how your hair was ugly, or something and I was just so fed up. Like, how could somebody hate such a pretty color?” She shook her head, and looked up towards Tendou’s hair for a split second. “And I get that nobody else has red hair around these parts and I just drove to the hair salon and boom. Blue hair. If they’re going to make fun of your hair for being an odd color, they can try me, too.”

Tendou was silent for a moment, he really didn’t know what to say. He had to take a second to soak it all in, all the flattery, the entire gesture, all his suspicions being true. He felt himself shiver.

“Are you sure you’re not a superhero?”

“I’m positive.”

“Then you’re not normal, __.” Tendou laughed.

“Well, who needs normal?”

I love it!!!! Greedy reader is greedy….continuation maybe??? 😁😁😁💙💙💙

A Rant

imaginetho:

I’d just like to take this moment and say first of all, I truly do love writing and will continue to write no matter what nor who.

I’d also like to say this is not directed for the few people who took the time to let me know they like what I write, no, you’re an angel and we’re thrilled that you’re here.

This is for the other majority who do not.

Now,

As much as I love writing, I also truly love shown appreciation and validation from the people who read my work as well.

Just as I took the time to write wether a 500 word, a 1000 word or an even less request for you, it wouldn’t hurt if you took the time to let me know how you feel about my work. It’s really not that hard to drop a nice comment and let me know what you thought of it, wether you really liked it or didn’t and have some nice suggestions for next time to make it even better.

I know that you don’t have to, but why not make someone’s day when you can?

All you gotta do is say something nice to show me that I did a good job. Literally, that’s just enough to make my day. It’s as simple as that.

Not only will it make my day but more importantly it will help me feel more inspired and thrive to become even better.

I’ll take in your request gladly and write it the best I can either way and I’ll also have a lot of fun writing it, but I’ll also wonder later on what are your thoughts on it after I have posted it.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that as much as I love doing this I’d love it even more if you actually showed me that you love it too. After all, we’re all just people who want to see our hard work not go to waste but to be noticed.

I’m also 99.99% sure that I’m not the only writer who feels that way which is why I thought it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to actually say all of this and get it out of my chest.

Lastly, I really hope no one misunderstands this and think of it as rude or anything because that was not my intention whatsoever.

Dee, I totally agree with you. Writing is fun but hearing what people think makes it more worth it, that’s just how it is.

So readers, please let us know how your feel about our work. The quality improves when we know either that you love it or what we can do to improve it.

I often second guess putting in significant effort when feedback is low because it can start to feel pointless, but I keep trying regardless because that’s how I am. I’m sure my fellow writers are the same way.

Thanks for speaking up Dee, you aren’t alone in your feelings.

ahhhh may I please request lev getting set up with someone who’s like 5ft tall as a joke, bc both their friends thought the height diff was hilarious, but they actually end up hitting it off? ;o

I had fun with this. I missed writing for my tall boy. Also, Lev is a junior in college! Just throwing that out there.

Lev wasn’t one to be paranoid. In fact, he was anything but. Lev Haiba was the kind of guy to wave at a man in a trenchcoat looming in the dark corner of an alleyway at three o’clock in the morning. Nothing in this world scared him besides pretty girls and cockroaches, but, the way his roommate was glancing up at him every so often sent a good shiver down his spine.

Hinata had been sitting on the edge of his own bed and furiously tapping at his phone for fifteen minutes now; Lev knew because he had been counting. Whatever was making Hinata type so fast that he could actually hear his fingers bouncing on the screen had to involve him, somehow. Every so often the typing would stop, and ever so ominously Hinata would look up at him for about five seconds, his eyebrows scrunched and his lips pursed, then he’d go right back to typing again. Lev would’ve straight up asked what Hinata’s problem was in any other case scenario, but he was honest he had never seen Hinata this mad. Well, exempt the one time in sophomore year where he wasn’t allowed into the club for “looking too young”.

Another five minutes passed and the typing stopped all together. Lev was afraid to look up from his laptop to see if Hinata was staring again, but he did it anyways. Hinata hadn’t been looking, but Lev caught his attention. He laughed, eyes nervously darting over to his phone.

“Tobio.” Is all Hinata had to say, and suddenly, the whole situation made sense. Well, some of it did, the relentless typing, at least. Although, that didn’t explain the incessant glares in his direction.

“What did he do now?”

“Well, it’s not rea-ally about him.” Hinata shrugged. “Hey, Lev, can I ask you a question?”

“Shoot.”

“Are you free tonight?”

Suddenly, Lev found himself utterly confused. He cocked an eyebrow and looked up at Hinata, who was passing the situation as something that happened on the daily. He propped himself up on his shoulders and kicked his legs over the side of the bed.

“Is someone asking me out?” He pondered, in all seriousness.

“Well, kinda.”

“Is it you or Tobio? ‘Cause if I’m being honest I think Tobio would treat me right.” Lev laughed.

“No-o it’s not Tobio! It’s not me either!”

“I know, I know. Who’s asking me out then?”

Hinata hopped off the edge of his bed and shuffled right up next to Lev on his. He flipped his phone out of his pocket again, fiddling with it for a moment before pulling up a picture.

“Her.” Hinata nudged “at Lev’s arm. “Well, she didn’t actually ask you out. She’s Tobio’s girlfriend’s best friend.

“So you’re saying you have no idea who this chick is?” Lev laughed, ogling at the photo of the girl for a split second before Hinata yanked the phone away. “I don’t really mind, either way. She’s kinda cute. I think.”

“Yeah. We figured you’d be cute together. So, are you down?” Hinata stood up from the bed and went off to do his own thing once more. Lev wasn’t entirely opposed to the idea of going out on a date with a stranger, if anything, he thought it was a bit exciting. In the back of his mind though, he denied the sincerity of it all, but suppressed it.

“Sure, I’m down. Are we meeting at a certain place or is it just wherever?”

“The Gazelle.”

Hinata was referencing to the indie coffee shop down the street from their dorm. It was always quiet, soft piano music filling up the empty space where people weren’t whispering to each other about the new vinyl records they bought the other day. Everyone wore baggy sweaters and wire glasses and could pronounce the obscure names on the menu with ease. Lev just nodded in agreement, too wound up in everything else to wonder why the people involved in this rendezvous had chosen a place that was so not him. He was oblivious to the way Hinata was smirking into his fist as he started texting again, just like he was oblivious to everything else.

That night, Lev found himself inside The Gazelle. It wasn’t often where he found himself in this place, only ever stopping by to make fun of Kenma, who worked behind the counter on weekends, or to grab himself a hot cocoa to endure early morning lectures. He took a seat by the window, which he immediately started to regret. The chairs were too small for him and his legs barely fit underneath the table. He would’ve gotten up and moved, but he didn’t want to draw more attention to himself then he already was. There weren’t many people in the shop, just a couple of baristas he didn’t recognize, a lonesome girl with space buns who refused to stop glaring at him, and a guy in the corner who looked like he had just one too many espressos that night. He hadn’t been waiting for long now, the date was scheduled for eight, but he figured showing up at seven forty-five would give him a chivalrous advantage. Thing was, even if his date had showed up, he hadn’t quite remembered what she looked liked. Hinata had flashed the picture so fast, he could barely absorb that she was in fact, a person. For all he knew, the angry girl with space buns could have been his date this entire time. That was, until the chime on the door rang.

Lev’s eyes darted up from his phone to the door. The bitter chill from outside clashed against the warmth of fireplace on the inside and rustled a few magazines sitting on the table next to him. Lev couldn’t necessarily see who had walked through the doors, a tall houseplant had blocked their way. He figured it had to be a freshman, though. Through the leaves, he could see the top of their head barely reached the coat rack by the barista counter. He continued to pay no mind to his surroundings, mindlessly being sucked back into the screen in his hands. It was eight o’three now, but Lev didn’t really mind. He figured he wasn’t being stood up, Hinata wouldn’t do something like that. There was a possibility that he wasn’t paying too much attention to his surroundings, though.

It wasn’t until he heard a soft clearing of the throat did he get off his phone again. Standing in front of him was that presumed freshman, her hands balled together in the oversized sleeves of her sweater. The first thing that Lev noticed was that she was small. The oversized sweater that pooled around her body didn’t do her much justice, nor did the keroppi purse that was slung over her right shoulder. It wasn’t until he made eye contact with her did he realize who she was. It was Kageyama’s girl friend’s best friend. It was her.

Lev was almost afraid to stand up next to her. He didn’t even have to look up at her in his position right now, and he was sitting. After staring for a brief moment, she giggled awkwardly and peeped a small, “hi!” Lev couldn’t help but wonder why his friends would be hanging out with a freshman. Although he had to admit, she was adorable.

“Are you by any chance… Kageyama’s girlfriends best friend?” Lev hated that he had to associate her by that title. It wasn’t like Hinata gave him a background check on her, though.

“Yeah, that would be me! And you’re Kageyama’s best friends roommate, right?”

“Mhm!”

Lev felt like he was being rude just sitting there while she was standing. Forgetting the small table above him, he stood up, nearly knocking himself, the chair, and the entire table over as he lumbered up awkwardly. He looked down at her, almost bashfully, but it seemed like she didn’t even notice.

“This is a joke. This is so-o a joke.” She covered her face with her sweater paws and began laughing. “O-Oh my god. Hinata, you bastard.”

It took Lev a moment to get what she was shaking her head about, then it clicked. Their height difference was so drastic, comical, even. Figured Hinata would try to set them up to get a kick out of it. “Oh-h, I see.” He hummed.

Then without warning, Lev set his hand atop her head. “How tall are you? Er, how short are you, rather.”

She didn’t seem to find that funny, and merely shook her head. “I could be asking you the same thing, Burj Khalifa. I’m five foot.”

“Five foot what?”

“Uh, just five foot.”

Lev shook his head. “People can actually be that short?” He asked in all seriousness, unaware of how red her cheeks are. “Are you still a freshman?”

“No, I’m a junior. Jus’ like you.”

“Wow.” Lev shook his head and merely laughed. “This is the funniest thing to ever happen to me. You’re so cute.”

“Thank you, and honestly, I didn’t expect to be set up with the actual Himalayan Yeti either. And you never actually answered my question, by the way.”

“Oh, yeah. I just hit six foot ten the other day. I’m still growing. My doctor says I’ll probably stop when I’m twenty-five, and I’ll probably be seven feet then.”

“Seven feet!” She gaped up at him, experimentally pushing herself up on her tiptoes. “Um, can we get our drinks and sit down? My neck kinda hurts.”

“Oh! Oh yeah sure… um?”

“__. The names __.”

“Cool! I’m Lev!”

“Lev?” She peeped. She stood up next to the barista counter, popping up on her tippy toes to rest her forearms upon it. “You’re Russian?”

“Yeah! How’d you know?”

“It seems very Russian. My second guess was German, or something, but I think Russian is nicer. It’s a prettier language, don’t you think?”

Lev was surprised she hadn’t mentioned his height whilst talking about his heritage, it was usually the first thing people bounced to. It was endearing, really. When the barista came up to greet her, she popped up higher on her tiptoes to talk to him. She ordered her drink, something with a confusing name he was surprised she could even pronounce, then turned to him to have him stutter, “medium hot cocoa.” They stood there for a brief moment, Lev shuffling from foot to foot until she grabbed the drinks and motioned back to their table.

He never expected to find himself going on a date with someone nearly two feet shorter than him, but for some odd reason, he didn’t really mind. He figured at this point it was all some joke between Hinata, Kageyama and the third party, but jokes aside, it wasn’t bad judgement. She had big goals and dreams like his, to which Lev joked that they were bigger than she was. They compared hand sizes, then shoe sizes, then arm length, and wound up sitting together on the fountain outside of Lev’s dorm after the baristas kicked them out half past nine. It wasn’t just her height, but there was something about her that Lev found too cute. She had these soft eyes and gentle smile that he couldn’t help but adore. She didn’t get mad at his “short-shaming”, as she referred to it as, and merely just played along. She could think of as many tall nicknames and he could think of short, and despite his height, treated him like a normal person. Most dates he wound up on he’d get flooded by “basketball comments” and obsessing over his height, girls telling him how attractive it was to be with “such a tall guy.” Even though it was such a huge feature, she looked passed that, and it was mostly him who had brought it up. She preferred it when they were sitting down face to face, rather than side to side. She liked his “dorky personality”, or so she said, more than his height. That’s what made her adorable.

They huddled around the inactive fountain for hours, and as the clock hit midnight the only thought in Lev’s head was seeing the shock on Hinata’s face when he returned home and said, “Hey the date was great, we have another planned for Saturday night!” She stood up from her place next to him on the fountain, pulling her sweater closer to her body before pausing to sneeze in her elbow.

“Hey, I think I should head home. I’m getting really cold.” She laughed, pausing to sneeze again.

“Oh! Okay. I had a lot of fun. You’re cool for somebody who looks fourteen.”

“Me too! I never knew sentient trees could be so charming. So, Saturday night at seven, right?”

“Yup!”

“You have my number in your phone and everything, right?”

“Yup!”

“Nice! Thank you for tonight. Kick Hinata’s ass for me, kay?”

“I’ll make sure to at least choke him under his pillow for a few minutes.” Lev smiled. “Oh another thing- should I walk you home?”

“Sounds wonderful. I should be fine, I live right around the corner” She giggled, shuffling around for a minute before holding her hand up. Lev cocked his head in confusion.

“I, uh, I wanted to give you a hug but I really don’t know how.”

Lev laughed, barked, rather and put his hand up against hers.

“We’ll figure it out next time.”

She then nodded, bid her farewells, then skittered away, her arms bobbing gleefully, her purse bouncing at her side the entire time. He watched her as she turned the corner, spinning around to wave at him one more time. She was cute, she was very cute, and it was all Lev could think about. The moment Lev was sure she must’ve been in her dorm, he sprinted towards his, running up three flights of stairs to open the dorm room door with a dramatic slam.

“You’re home late!” Hinata chimed, his back turned to the door, laying on his stomach and kicking his feet as he typed on his computer.

“You didn’t tell me she was short.”

“Never came up in conversation.” Hinata laughed. “So how’d it go?”

“Great! Figured out the whole setup was a joke two seconds in, but besides that it was great!’ Lev flopped back onto his bed, paying no mind to the way Hinata jerked his head in his direction.

“You guys actually got along?”

“Yeah! She’s actually real sweet. We’re going out this weekend, too. Your plan backfired, Shouyou!”

Hinata laughed, slamming the top of his laptop down. “Glad you had fun. Kageyama’s gonna have a fit.”

Lev shook his head and shuffled around, digging in his pocket for his phone. A text message popped on the screen, under the name of “Shrimp-puff”.

Don’t forget to push Hinata’s head under the pillow!” It read. Lev smiled and looked up at Hinata, who was laying in the same position.

“What is it?” He asked before realizing what was coming for him. He coughed as a pillow whacked him upside the head, rendering him useless.

“Chivalry.”

I was grinning from ear to ear reading this, its sooooooo adorable!

GoM (minus Akashi) + Kagami + Hyuga + Kiyoshi realizing at how cute does her s/o looks with they T-shirts as a pijama (because it would be giant and it would look like a dress xD)

kurokonbscenarios:

Kise would at first just stare at his partner before actually squealing and hugging them tight to his chest, nuzzling his cheek against theirs. He’d refuse to let them dress their pajama from then on as he wants to see them wear his T-shirt even if they think it doesn’t look well or it’s ridiculous. He doesn’t care. He loses it whenever they wear something his.

Midorima would try very hard to hide that blush that would cover his cheeks before moving on his ears. He’d cover his mouth, glancing at them from the side, but would compliment them very shyly. He’d want to see them wear his T-shirt more, but wouldn’t speak it out loud unless his partner makes him to.

Aomine would either smirk and pull them into kiss or become a flustered mess. Either the situation, he knows how to turn it in his profit. He wouldn’t hesitate to tell them how they look all while caressing their sides under T-shirt and his breath hot on their ear.

It would take a bit more to get any reaction from Murasakibara, but he would be a bit flustered once the realization finally sets in. His cheeks would turn light red and would try to hide it with looking away, but would continue to glance at his partner the whole time. Sooner or later he’d reach his point and with a growl pull them down, saying how bad they’ve been. oh yes dirty talk

Kagami would be so flustered because “why now of all the times” and would just refuse to look at them. He wouldn’t last long if his partner decides to “spice it up” and dance around. He’d just pull them in their bed and hold them close, refusing to let them go, knowing they’d just tease him for it.

Hyuuga would try to keep calm. Keyword: try. His blush wouldn’t help him much and neither would his stammering. He’d quickly tell them to change or at least put on some shorts if they only have a T-shirt. He’d know he dug himself grave if his partner decides to make him even more flustered. He wouldn’t hesitate to take his frustration on them with lots of making out. bold Hyuuga is mah thing

Kiyoshi’s hands wouldn’t be still at all, that much is for sure. He’d keep on complimenting his partner how his T-shirt looks so damn good on them and god he’d be the best at dirty talking, making his partner embarrassed and all shy. He’d laugh, because “why are you hiding when you look so hot”. He’d be so smitten by the whole situation and would grin like an idiot. Be sure he’d be expecting to see his partner in his T-shirt the next night again.

Agree, bold Hyuga is my jam too! Him and Kasamatsu! Also, yummy Kiyoshi!

Akashi, Midorima, Aomine, Kagami, Hyuga, Kasamatsu, and Miyaji’s reaction to finding their s/o – who apparently has no interest in basketball and barely watches their games – watching and fangirling over a basketball-themed sports anime?

imagine-knb:

Kagami: Until you showed him a few episodes, Kagami had no idea that there were even anime dedicated to basketball. He had been too caught up playing the actual game to look for anything related to it on television. He doesn’t understand why you prefer the fake TV show, though.

Hyuuga: Being a fan of sport manga himself, Hyuuga can sort of understand why you would like a sport anime. Still, he’s a little peeved that you wouldn’t come see him in any of his games, but would cancel all plans to watch a new episode of whatever the hell it was you were watching.

Kasamatsu: He’ll never admit it, but he feels a little betrayed. Basketball was one of things he didn’t have trouble talking with you about, so the fact that you liked a fake anime over the real deal kind of hurt Kasamatsu. Maybe he’d just have to show you while the real version was better.

Aomine: How annoyingly fake could one show get? Aomine understood liking basketball, but he couldn’t understand liking basketball with super powers. Some of the moves the characters did were so unrealistic, he couldn’t help but scoff at them. Seriously? Nobody can teleport.

Midorima: Not minding when you watched the anime, Midorima would sit down for a few episodes with you. He wouldn’t be saying anything out loud, but you can bet that every minute of the show has him critically analyzing why every character was wrong in how they proceeded a game.

Miyaji: Sometimes he’ll watch the anime with you, pointing out all the technical mistakes the animators made every so often. He actually uses some of the strategies your anime comes up with in his practices, finding some potential in the way the animated characters thought.

Akashi: Okay, so real basketball just wasn’t your thing. Akashi could accept that. What he was having a hard time grasping was why you would get so excited over a fake basketball game. Where was the fun when every win or loss was already predetermined by a script?

Aomine’s is the best! SO META I SNORTLED! (My word lol) I loved this so much.

Hey there! What social media app do you think the boys would be most active on?

nekoma-headcanons:

(Good request. 11/10)

Tetsurō Kuroo:

  • You can find Kuroo on most used socialization apps. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, you name it, he’s got it. He is pretty popular on Twitter with his sassy remarks to famous people’s bullshit though.
  • His accounts are linked, so when he posts something, it will immediately be shared everywhere. He’s the guy who spams group chats with bad memes and terrible jokes at 3 am in the morning and annoys everyone.

Nobuyuki Kai:

  • Kai does not care very much for social media. He’s the type of person that keeps in touch with others through phone calls and messages, rather than social apps. He finds it easier to keep in touch for some reason.
  • He does have a Facebook account and has been added to different group chats, like his class’ one and the one for his team, but he rarely checks them due to the mass spams of memes and messages.

Morisuke Yaku:

  • Yaku also is not the biggest fans of the large variety of social apps that have appeared on the market, but just as well uses Facebook to keep in touch with family, friends and others.
  • He usually posts pictures from his holidays or selfies with the team, but he doesn’t stress to be very active. He’s a third year and needs to prepare both for volley matches and University exams.

Taketora Yamamoto:

  • He posts frequently on Instagram, but it’s such a pure and wholesome content? Like, pictures of his cats, or the sunset on a partially cloudy day, or his mother’s carnations.
  • Yamamoto also uses Snapchat a lot and all of his snaps are funny or silly,. It’s his main app with which he keeps in touch with his bros, Nishinoya and Tanaka. He might have also used Tinder in the past.

Kenma Kozume:

  • Kenma is not one for socializing too much, so he spends a lot of time on Tumblr where he doesn’t have to worry too much on what people’s opinions are about his blog, which involves video games mostly.
  • He also lurks on different reddit forums and gets himself some nice spoilers on games and series, but he’s just as well ready to roast someone who does not do justice to his fave characters.

Shōhei Fukunaga:

  • I feel like Fukunaga also spends a lot of his free time on Tumblr. His memes are always on point and up to date, so are his jokes and puns. He runs an entire pun blog and he’s proud of it.
  • He also uses Facebook to be up to date with how his friends are doing and to also leave short yet sweet and encouraging messages on people’s achievements. He’s got a small number of friends.

Sō Inuoka:

  • Inu is pretty active on Facebook. He ticks his location when he goes out with friends, he always gets tagged in pictures and he shares a lot of posts on his wall which he finds interesting or funny. He’s also part of quite some groups.
  • Him and Shibayama have a lot of fires on Snapchat and they can’t even conceive of losing their strike. 130 days is not something to break. He posts from time to time on Insta as well.

Lev Haiba:

  • Lev has an Instagram account he has dedicated to his photography work. Besides the breathtaking landscapes and close ups of random plants, you can sometimes find blurry pics of fellow teammates or cats. He had a deviantArt at some point.
  • He used to scroll on 9gag and 4chan a lot, but those were some dark days. Now, mostly, he gets his dose of laughter and information from his Facebook feed or Tumblr.

Yuki Shibayama:

  • Tumblr is mostly in his comfort zone, but Shibayama can sometimes get lost in the multitude of interesting links reddit has to offer. The No Sleep stories have kept him up and meditating a lot.
  • The Spanchat streak is real! He also updates his story on Snap from time to time with trivial things and pets he’s met, but he never expected so many people to actually be interested in it.

I love Yamamoto’s!
