Fluffy scenarios with Asahi, Bokuto, Nishinoya and Ukai cuddling with their s/o that’s scared of thunderstorms?

hq-cuties-pls:

Wow it’s been 84 years, but I return with this self-indulgent nonsense! Did I crib a lot of notes from Ouran? Yes. Did this really resonate with me because I am absolutely scared of thunder? You bet. Does it matter than thunderstorms in Japan aren’t really a Thing because of their climate? Not even a little bit. I hope you enjoy!
~Admin Emma (Your Local Goblin)

Asahi

What had started as low rumblings before bed turned into cacophonous thunder that woke Asahi up from a dead sleep. That was no easy feat, given how heavily he slept, but thunder woke him easily. Not that he was afraid of thunder–far from it, actually–but he knew you were. The last time a storm had rolled through, he’d come home to find you shivering in the back of the closet with a pillow jammed around your head. That night was no exception.

“Hey,” he said, running his hand over the curve of your waist. You tensed under his touch, shrinking further under the covers. He wrapped a thick arm around your waist, holding you close. “Hey, ssh, It’s ok.”

“Asahi…” you whimpered, flinching when there was another flash of lightning. The thunder followed a few seconds after, loud and terrifying. It practically shook the entire house.

“Hey, hey,” Asahi soothed, pulling you a little closer. You buried your face in his chest, and he’d almost be embarrassed by the gesture if you weren’t so clearly afraid. He started rocking you gently, murmuring softly under his breath. “It’s going to be ok.”

This was a ritual for you. It was hard to see you so afraid, but he had things that scared him, too. He had totally irrational anxieties that turned him into a shaking, shivering, self-hating mess. You were always there to help him with those; so he would be there to help you with the thunder. He knew nothing he did that was rational would help. So he just allowed his presence to be enough, when it could be enough.

He would always protect you.

Bokuto

While he was no big fan of thunderstorms, he was more afraid of the power going out than anything else. His ADHD made his ears ring if it was totally silent, so if the power went out, he didn’t have his fan, and therefore he couldn’t sleep. So when a rare storm rolled through, he was instantly on high alert. He made sure his battery-powered white noise machine was charged, the candles and lighter were within easy reach, and the emergency supplies were where you’d left them last. You had leftover rice in the cooker, so if he got hungry he didn’t need power…

The storm rolled in so quickly, it didn’t take long for the thunder to roll over his head with a deafening crack. Up until that point, you’d been reading in the living room, bundled in one of his sweatshirts. You’d been pretty absorbed in your book, but the thunder yanked you right out of it. You were as alarmed as a sighthound catching movement in the bushes, and when the thunder cracked again, your eyes went wide.

Bokuto knew he had to get to work; “Hey, ____, I was thinking… I want you to show me that game. That crazy shooting RPG… Mass Effect?”

“You… you want to play Mass Effect?” You jumped when thunder cracked again, louder than before. But it was easier to get your attention again.

“Yeah! It looks fun! And you and Kuroo have that inside joke about ‘best store on the Citadel’ or whatever, and I want in!”

“Right…” you gulped when you saw the lightning flash again, but he held your attention. “Right now?”

“Yeah!” Bokuto said, exuberant and bright.

He wasn’t great at comforting. He wasn’t soft or gentle, he didn’t know how to hold you until you stopped being afraid. He was a man of action–a fixer. He needed to fix it. And he couldn’t fix an irrational fear.

But he could distract you, and make you feel loved and happy. And that was all he needed, really.

Noya

He came home from practice soaked to his skin, the sudden storm catching him by surprise. The apartment was dark, and the low hum of the AC unit was shockingly absent. The only sound was the driving rain outside. The power was out. You were nowhere to be seen.

“____?” Noya called, peeking into rooms as he searched. “____? You home?”

A flash of lightning, followed by an immediate crack of thunder. And then, he heard you. Just the tiniest whimper… you were in the bedroom. He should have known. He dropped his wet clothes into the laundry basket, scrubbed a towel over his hair quickly, and fished his phone out of his backpack. Thankfully, it didn’t get too wet. He plugged in his good headphones–the noise cancelling ones–and cracked the closet door. There you were, curled pathetically in the corner like a beaten dog.

He hated it. He hated that you were so scared, that he couldn’t be there for you. All he wanted was to make it go away. He stole the blanket from your bed and touched your knee. You practically leapt through the ceiling, your eyes darting nervously around before settling on him.

“Y-yuu…” Your voice shook, and you yelped when there was another crack of thunder.

“I’m sorry I’m late,” he said softly, whipping the blanket around your shoulders. He put the headphones over your ears, blasting your favorite playlist, and gathered you close. “It’s ok. I’m here.”

He rubbed your shoulder soothingly, feeling pleased with himself when you started relaxing into his side. He did this for you every time there was a storm. He didn’t even get that itch under his skin when he sat still for too long. This was too important to him. You were too important to him, and he didn’t want you to be scared anymore. He’d do anything…

An hour later, the power came back on, and you were fast asleep.

Ukai

He didn’t care about thunderstorms one way or the other; they came so rarely in Miyagi that he never really had to think about them. Okinawa, though… that was a different story. Many of the locals had warned him that day about a storm brewing just off the coast. Considering the big, ominous-looking clouds on the horizon, he’d taken it seriously. He was glad you’d packed your earplugs for the trip.

Sadly, the thunder was so loud and rain hit the window so hard it was near deafening, the ear plugs didn’t help. You’d tried to go to bed early, but the tension from the potential storm had kept you up. And now, with the rain and wind going full force, you were awake and likely not going to sleep any time soon.

He sighed, scratching at his hair as he climbed into bed with you. He snuck a hand under your shirt, rubbing soothing circles into your bare back; “Hey, it’s ok.”

You nodded, relaxing into his touch, but stiffening when lightning flashed again. He counted the seconds between the flash and the crack of thunder, and the storm was practically on top of the hotel. If he stared through the gauzy curtains, he could see thin cracks of light striking the sea. It would have been cool if you weren’t in his arms, shaking like a leaf.

He did the only thing he could do… the thing that you always said you liked. He sang to you. It was an old song, a traditional song his grandmother sang to him when he was young. It always soothed him, and despite the fact he wasn’t the most gifted singer in the world, you always seemed to love his singing voice. The first few times it had been embarrassing, but after years together, all self-consciousness about the roughness from years of smoking and his tone deafness and the way his voice cracked on higher notes had vanished. All he wanted was to make you feel loved.

After a time–he honestly lost track–your shaking stopped. He peered down to check on you. You weren’t asleep, but you were staring up at him with such naked affection in your eyes, his face flamed.

“Thanks, Keishin,” you said, brushing your fingers along his jaw in a way that made him shiver. “You always know what to do.”

He grinned, pressing gentle kisses to the corner of your mouth; “Anything for my future wife.”

I’M MELTING!!!! I, too, do not like thunder. I think storms are cool but they scare the crap out of me so I can totally relate. These were so, so, so SWEET Emma! You always knock it out of the park!

Haikyuu Father’s Day Headcanons

I woke up feeling domestic today so in honor of Father’s Day I put together some random headcanons for some of the Haikyuu boys. I hope you enjoy them and happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

Karasuno

Daichi has been teased for being the “dad’ of his group for years so it’s no surprise he takes to fatherhood officially like a fish to water. He is the king of shoulder rides and tickle fights.

Sugawara is the best at bedtime stories, often coming up with “multi-chapter” renditions he continues one night after the other. It’s his ploy to get the kids to bed. “Well, if you want to know what happens to Marxa and Meddy, listen to your mother and get ready for bed.” Works. Every. Time.

Asahi cried when his daughter – the first born – came into the world. He couldn’t help it, she was just so tiny and perfect and a piece of you and him that he was overwhelmed. He was a bit afraid to hold her at first but once that sweet bundle was nestled in his arms it was over for him; he didn’t know he could love two people with an equal level of devotion in such different ways.

Tanaka loves all that being a dad entails. He’s there for his kids first bike ride, roller skate fall, getting stuck in a tree and needing daddy to save them. He chases away monsters from under the bed or in the closet and is always the first to kiss a boo boo and make it feel better. He’s their hero.

Nishinoya’s energy is able to keep up with his brood – four kids – rather well. He loves “tagfest” the most, running through the park as his kids squeal with glee and “daddy, catch me” sounding over the fields.

Ennoshita documents every little bit of his children’s lives that he can, for posterity (and a little practice). But he makes sure to set the camera down and actually be in the moment with them, frequently caught off guard when he’s editing later to find his wife sneakily grabbed the camera and got some scenes with him as the main star.

Kinoshita is the best breakfast maker and loves doing it with his kids. They make a mess of the kitchen but the end results are usually delicious. They horse around a bit during the cleaning and it’s a bit loud but the job gets done.

Narita enjoys reading with his kids. They’ll pile on his lap either in bed or on the couch and he’ll pop open the book of the day, reading aloud and doing voices and sound effects much to his children’s delight.

Kageyama wasn’t sure at first if he wanted children, afraid he wouldn’t be suited for the roll of “dad”. But once he does have them he does well. Unsurprisingly, when they’re old enough, he’s the first to encourage them to try out volleyball but if they don’t want to, he doesn’t love them any less. He just tries to understand whatever they are in to.

Hinata is another energy filled dad, able to play for hours with his kids without seeming to break a sweat. He’s frequently seen with his “little crows” at official matches, swelling with pride whenever he hears squeals of encouragement whenever he scores.

Tsukishima tried to be firm in regards to keeping his kid out of his and his wife’s bedroom; that is their sanctuary. But when his little girl came crying during a loud and violent storm, he simply lifted her up, kissed her cheek, laid her between himself and her mother and snuggled away her fears.

Yamaguchi frequently plans playdates for his kids and those of his former teammates, usually on Sunday mornings or afternoons when most of – if not all – of them are available to get together. Occasionally they’ll go to an amusement park or zoo or some place similar but most of the time the dates consist of the dads chatting over simple sandwiches while their children run about a park and play together.

Ukai wasn’t sure he wanted kids since taking care of his “little rascals” was already so exhausting but eventually he decides he does want to and when he does he’s never lacking for willing babysitters, all of “his boys” from that first year of him coaching offering their help to raise his twin boys.

Aobajosai

Oikawa loves taking his two little twin girls shopping. Buying them cute, matching outfits just makes his day. They have way too many, but that doesn’t stop him from doing it. When they get older, they’re more resistant to it but will make sure to go at least once a year – on Father’s Day – and let their dad pick something for them.

Iwaizumi enjoys cooking and his Father’s Day tradition with his kids is finding a traditional dish – either from their country or another – and trying it out together. Whether it comes out right or they like it or not, it’s the experience of cooking together that they love. And if it doesn’t come out right, they just order take out.

Matsukawa frequently tortures his children when they are older with typical dad jokes, especially around their significant others when they start dating.

Hanamaki likes to do family outings / experiences with his kids on Father’s Day rather than have them buy him stuff he doesn’t really need. One year, when they were in middle school, he planned a volunteer day at a local shelter. At the end of the day he said, “Now that you have some of an idea of what it takes to take care of a dog, do you still want one?” When they all agree they did he told them to work together to pick one to take home.

Yahaba spends time with his kids doing art projects. They want to color? He’ll color with them. Paint? It’ll be outside with drop cloth and smocks but sure, why not? Sidewalk chalk and hopscotch? He’s there. Watching his kids be creative is one of his greatest joys.

Watari’s kids love to snuggle with him. They’ll crawl in his lap to watch a movie or beg him to lay with them during nap time when he’s home.

Kindaichi is rather competitive so he has to watch himself whenever he plays games with his kids not to get too into it. He won’t just let them win, though. They have to learn the agony of defeat, even in Mario Kart.

Kunimi – because of his dislike for loud, energetic beings – struggled through his kids toddler and young childhood years. He was there for them but it was a tough go. He does exceptionally well during the latter school years frequently being a source of help for them during homework time.

Kyotani is – unsurprisingly – fiercely protective of his kids. He can be a bit harsh with them but his attitude has mellowed out and they know above all else that he loves them. God help the boy who tries to date his daughter.

Nekoma

Kuroo is also fond of the dad jokes or science puns and frequently uses them to diffuse arguments with his kids, either between each other or with him.

Kenma – shockingly – loves playing video games with his kids. His proudest moment was when his son asked for his own PSP for his birthday.

Yamamoto, when they are old enough, teaches his daughters self defense to protect themselves from the numerous boys he just knows will be after them. They roll their eyes but do as told, teasing him with tidbits uncle Kuroo and Yaku told them about his own high school days. This only encourages him to increase the training, must to their chagrin.

Kai is the party planner for his kids’ birthday parties, taking whatever theme they want that year to the extreme and creating a wonderful experience for their guests and themselves.

Yaku loves baking with his kids. He’s always finding new recipes to try and they laugh their way through techniques they don’t understand, learning as they go and eating the fruits of their labor. After clean up, they go for a run or bike ride together to “burn off the sugar” before crashing for a nap.

Inuoka does finger puppet shows for his kids. He lets them make the characters out of arts and craft supplies then uses a stage box he built himself to put on productions for them. Sometimes they write the stories together and sometimes he makes it up for them to simply enjoy.

Lev is a master of hide and seek and his kids frequently challenge him in it. When his youngest managed to hide for over an hour it prompted him to put trackers on them, linked to their mother’s cell phone so he can’t cheat.

Other Team Favorites

Bokuto gives the best “horsey” rides, willing to get down on all fours and properly run about and buck, his children squealing with joy as they ride. It usually ends with Bokuto collapsed on the grass and his kids piling on top of him in fits of giggles.

Akaashi is a master at getting his babies to sleep. He rocks them gently, trailing his fingers over their forehead and down their eyelids prompting them to close. When they’re asleep, he lays them in their crib and watches them sleep for a little, a soft smile on his face.

Aone is a human jungle gym for his kids. They love to climb all over him, hanging from his strong arms or neck. They also love to wrestle with him, frequently ganging up to try to take him down. Aone just smiles quietly through it all, enjoying the time playing with his kids.

Koganegawa is just as entertained as his children watching animated movies. On Saturday nights, they cuddle together on the couch with snacks and drinks, pulling out of a hat what movie they’re going to watch from their massive collection.

Ushijima struggled in the beginning of fatherhood due to the unpredictability of children; babies in particular. But once he got the hang of the basics, he began to enjoy the experience more. The first time his son cuddled up and fell asleep on his chest he was a lost man; fatherhood, he decided, was the best thing to ever happen to him.

Semi is the dad whose kids can talk to him about and tell him anything. He takes their opinions, thoughts, ideas, worries, fears, arguments all in stride, allowing them to have their say (respectfully, there is no reason to be rude and it just makes you look stupid). When they’re done, he offers his advice, opinion or answer depending on the nature of the discussion. They may not always like what he says but they respect him because he respects them.

Tendo was quite nervous to have children to be honest. Would they like him? Would they think he was scary? Then, his daughter was born and all his fears melted. He might have shed a few tears, but he’ll never admit it. He gets her into manga when she’s older and the two of them will spend hours fanboy/girling over their favorites.

Nishinoya – Working together

ASK: a fluffy scenario with Noya “Hi, we’re assigned as partners” please!

Nishinoya could feel himself staring but he just couldn’t help it. You were too cute not to look! His eyes, soft but focused, gazed at the back of your head as the teacher’s voice filled the room, though he couldn’t hear the words properly, so distracted by you.

“Nishinoya-kun?”

Your voice, coupled with the fact you were now looking at him, almost made him fall out of his chair.

Were you bothered by his staring? Upset he had the gall to look at you? No, you had a small smile on your face, a little confusion maybe at his mouth gaping open as he tried to find words. Were…were you going to confess? Were all his dreams going to come true in this-

“I…I think you spaced out there a bit. We’re assigned as partners for this project. Do…do you want to figure out a time to get together and plan it out?”

Nishinoya blinked, swallowed, finally found his voice. “That sounds great, _____!” He knew he was being too loud, but at least he was known for that.

It may not have been a confession, but at least he would be spending more time with you. Which would hopefully give him the courage to make his own.

I recently lost all my hair. And I’m feeling like I’m a whole different person without it (not in a good way). Is it possible to get some fluff with Noya? Just some comfort or something like that. Idk I’m just feeling badly right now and was hoping this would help cheer me up. Thanks!

Oh anon, I’m so so sorry this happened. I can’t even imagine what that would be like and I hope you know that no matter what you are a beautiful, wonderful person! I know this is a small offering but I hope it makes you smile. I’m always here to chat too. I won’t pretend to know how you feel but I can definitely listen and do my small part to make you feel better through imagines.

Noya was worried. You’d been absent from school and barely, if at all, responding to his texting. Requests to see you face to face were rejected and finally in his straightforward manner, he asked the question most pressing on his mind.

Are we breaking up, ______?

No, no! At least…I don’t want to.

You think I do?

You might but this isn’t the time to talk about this. I’m just dealing with some stuff. I…I’ll talk to you later.

That had been three days ago and you’d stopped responding all together. Over lunch with Tanaka and Asahi, Noya said, “I’m just so worried about _____! They said we weren’t breaking up but what else am I supposed to think when they won’t see me and now won’t talk to me?”

Asahi let out a uncomfortable hum, unsure how to help his friend but Tanaka said quickly, “Just go over there! If something’s really that bad you need to be there for them no matter what!”

“But they said-”

“Sometimes you have to help people even when they think they don’t need it! Look at Asahi! Without Hinata and Kageyama badgering him, he’d never had rejoined the team all those years ago!”

“I might have,” grumbled the former ace but his eyes spoke the truth; without friends he wouldn’t have gone back.

“That’s different, Ryu, this…I don’t want to make things worse!” Noya exclaimed smacking the table.

“They need you, you need them. It’s simple. Come on Noya, just go!” Tanaka insisted.

Noya glanced to Asahi who merely nodded his head. Standing, Noya raced out of the restaurant, calling back a thank you and “I owe you”.

Standing in front of their door, Noya swallowed his nerves and knocked. No answer. He tried the doorbell, it’s peal sounding through the house. He knocked again, calling out, “______? It’s me! Please, come to the door! I know you said to stay away but I can’t anymore! I care about you too much and whatever it is we can work through it!”

He held his breath, pouring all his will into you opening the door. The sound of the lock finally clicking back made his heart beat race but when you opened the door it almost stopped and he couldn’t help his jaw from dropping.

Your face was so sad, eyes with bags and cheeks blotched from crying he was sure day and night. A red nose and chapped lips told the story of many tissues being used to try to clean the mess of your grief. But what startled him was the complete and utter absence of all your hair.

“Wha…what happened?” he managed to whisper.

“It…it’s gone!” you wailed, collapsing in his arms.

Quickly he took you inside where the two of you collapsed on the couch. He held you as you cried telling him the details of why you were suddenly bald, working but failing to keep back his own tears. “Why didn’t you tell me right away?” he asked quietly rubbing his hand up and down your back.

“I…I was just so…afraid and angry and scared and worried that you’d think I was ugly and I just don’t feel like me anymore!”

Carefully Noya pulled back and looked into your eyes. “You are you because of what’s in here,” he said holding a gentle hand against your chest over your heart. “I fell in love with the person, not the body.” He leaned up, pressing a light kiss to the top of your hairless head. “And you’re still ridiculously hot, so don’t be silly.”

You snorted, reaching for a tissue to blow your nose. “It’s not that simple, Noya,” you insisted but he was pleased to hear what sounded like a smile hidden behind the Kleenex.

“It is to me, but I don’t mind if you have days you need to be upset. Just,” he sighed, taking one hand in his own, “don’t shut me out again.”

You nodded. “Sorry, I just couldn’t-”

“No more apologies. It’s done. Over. Old news.” The rest of the night you spent curled up to his side watching funny movies.

The next morning, Saeko was surprised to find Nishinoya on the front stoop of their house, a serious look on his face. “Nee-san,” he said, voice a bit rough, “I need your help.”

When he voiced his request, her eyes widened. “Noya, are…are you sure that’s what you want?” she asked.

He nodded vigorously. “Yes, I’m sure.”

The following Monday, you were back at school, thanking your professors for their understanding of your situation and patience during your absence. You were a little sad you hadn’t seen Yuu yet but figured he was busy with his own routine.

“________! Good morning!” Speak of the devil!

You turned, smile on your face but it fell away to a look of shock when you saw your boyfriend – with a shaved head – rushing towards you. He didn’t stop, throwing his arms about your waist and hefting you into a super huge hug. As he dropped you to your feet you exclaimed, “Yuu! What happened to your hair?”

He rubbed the top of his head, nerves building up. “I…I didn’t want you to be alone, so I had Nee-san help me out.”

You stood staring, tears building in your eyes. “But you didn’t….I mean….you…”

He wrapped his arms around your neck, pulling you down to kiss your lips, heedless of the eyes that stared around you. “Do you love me any less without hair?” he asked when he pulled back.

“Of course not!” you exclaimed.

He grinned. “Then you know first hand how I feel about you.” He took your hand in his, tugging you through the halls towards the exit. “Now, we’re going shopping for beanies and scarves!”

You couldn’t help laughing as the two of you made your way to the train station to head to the shops.

Nishinoya – Cross Your “T”s and Please Date Me

Ask: Heyaaaa Jade, I would love for Noya to find a love letter addressed to him – Someone is crushing on him, because Noya is just too damn cool, so she writes this letter, calling him senpai because she is a year younger, telling him how cool is receives are and that to her, he is the biggest hero on court. I would love to read his reaction and see how much effort he would put in to find the author of the letter. It’s not signed, but the handwriting seems familiar.

I changed this up a bit but I hope you still like it! FINALLY, I got something written!

“Today is the most awesome day in the history of the world!” Nishinoya exclaimed bounding into the gym.

“Why’s that Nishinoya-senpai?” Hinata asked, eyes wide.

The libero grinned, flinging his thumb into his chest. “Because today I received something even better than a spike!” He held out a piece of paper partially crumpled thanks to his exuberance. “Today I got a love letter!”

The first year’s eyes got even wider but it was Tanaka’s booming voice that replied, “Way to go Noya! Who’s the lucky lady?!”

Nishinoya’s smile faltered momentarily. “Well, that’s the thing. She didn’t sign it.”

“Let me see,” Tanaka said snapping the parchment from between his fingers, reading out, “Dear Nishinoya-senpai, I hope this letter doesn’t bother or embarrass you-”

“As you if you could, calling him “senpai”, the simpleton,” Daichi chuckled.

“Hey!” Noya exclaimed but Tanaka rose his voice above further protest continuing to read.

But I had to let you know how much I admire you. Your receives are the best I’ve ever seen and even though I know you’ll get them I can’t help but hold my breath until you do. Your eyes, so focused and determined, give me chills. You may not be the biggest player on the court,” – this earned snickers from Tsukishima and Yamaguchi – “but you’re my biggest hero. I wish you all the luck in the world for nationals and I’ll be cheering every game I can make.

Tanaka sighed as he handed the prize possession back to his friend. “You lucky bastard. I wish some cute girl would send me a letter!”

“How do you know she’s cute?” Tsukishima questioned.

“I can just tell!” snapped the wing spiker.

“Ok guys, time to get busy!” Sugawara proclaimed, ushering the bickering teammates into warm ups as Nishinoya secured the letter in his bag.

Later on the walk home, he thought over the words again and again, not needing to pull out the letter since they were burned into his memory. Her hero?! He was her hero! “I’m definitely getting all of my receives tomorrow!” he vowed to the empty street.

And though he was so happy to have gotten such a sweet and encouraging message, he couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed that the author hadn’t made herself known. Most likely it was because she was nervous of his reaction. Of course, who wouldn’t be? But curiosity was growing and he wanted to thank her properly. How could he find her? Were there any clues he missed in the letter because of his overwhelming pleasure at receiving it at all?

Arriving home, he rushed upstairs, flicked on his desk lamp and poured over the letter once more, this time looking for any distinguishing marks. He wasn’t even sure what he meant by that, but there had to be something that gave a clue, right? He pulled out the envelope looking it over as well but could find nothing. It was as he stood up, paper in hand, that he saw something. Tilting it against the light revealed a faint hibiscus flower not able to been seen when looking at the paper straight on.

He let out a whoop of triumph. Here was something to go on at last! It was small, but he would look for as long as it took.

A few weeks later, he was no closer to finding his secret admirer despite his asking for spare pieces of paper from every girl in his class. He tried again with other classes during lunch but continually came up empty, either being rejected out right (so they couldn’t possibly be the author since any crush of his would be helpful, especially to the object of her affection) or not finding a match. He did gather an impressive collection of stationary though which he promptly passed to Yachi who stammered and blushed her thanks for the appreciated if rather random assortment of parchment.

“What am I’m going to do?” he groaned during a water break.

“Um, maybe just give up? You’re starting to look even creepier than usual,” Asahi commented.

“This from the guy who scares girls just by looking at them,” Noya retorted.

Asahi frowned but before he could defend himself Noya caught sight of something that made his heart stop; Kageyama holding a piece of paper with a hibiscus watermark; he’d found out what it was called from Ennoshita.

“Oi! Kageyama! Where’d you get that?” he thundered, rushing toward the now wide eyed setter.

“Get what?” he asked but Noya had snapped the coveted paper from his hand, shaking it back and forth in his face.

“This! This, this this! Where did you get this paper?”

Taking a step back, Kageyama stammered, “Um, from ______-chan. I forgot my notebook at home and she let me borrow a few sheets to take notes.”

“Is she cute?” Tanaka broke in.

Kageyama shrugged and both second years sighed.

“Come on, show me who she is,” Nishinoya insisted, grabbing Kageyama’s wrist and tugging him towards the gym door.

“Hey! Noya! We’ve got practice! Ennoshita, stop him!” Daichi shouted.

“Come on Noya, you can stalk your prey tomorrow, it’ll be easier to find her during classes anyway,” Ennoshita advised.

“Fine,” huffed Noya, releasing Kageyama’s wrist.

“Um, can I have my notes back, Nishinoya-senpai?”

The next day, Nishinoya was stalking the halls of Kageyama’s classroom, rushing up to the sullen faced setter the moment he stepped into view.

“There you are! Sheesh! You’re gonna make me late!”

“Sorry, I-”

“Nevermind, nevermind. Come on, show me ______-chan so I can get to class already!”

He walked briskly down the hall towards Kageyama’s classroom, stopping just before the threshold of the door. “Is she there yet?” Kageyama looked inside, nodding his head once. “Great, what seat is she in?”

“Third row from the door, fourth seat,” Kageyama replied.

Nishinoya took a deep breath. This was it! The moment he’d been waiting for! Slowly he peeked one eye through the crack in the door hinge and his breath caught in his throat. She was so cute! Her smile was soft but sincere as she chatted with her girlfriends, waiting for class to start. Before he could think more clearly, Nishinoya rushed into the room, Kageyama squawking behind him at the sudden movement.

“______-chan!” Nishinoya exclaimed, bowing low. “Thank you for your support. I’d be very happy if you’d go out on a date with me!”

Her face was almost purple as she stared at her crush bowing before her. How had he found out it was her who’d left that letter? Then her eyes landed on a slack-jawed Kageyama and it all made sense; her stationary! Why hadn’t she used regular old boring white paper?

“_____-chan?”

She snapped her eyes back down to Nishinoysa-senpai, still mostly prone at the waist, his brows furrowing more the longer she remained silent. This wasn’t how this was supposed to go but it was happening and he was asking her out but she couldn’t find her voice and-

She grabbed a piece of stationary, scribbling upon its surface. Just as she handed it to him, the bell rang and the first period teacher entered calling for attention before advising Nishinoya it would be in his best interest to get to his own class.

The libero rushed out of the room but paused long enough to read the paper she’d given him.

Yes, Nishinoya-senpai, I’ll go on a date with you.

He whooped, earning a reprimand from another teacher but he didn’t care. He had a date with the cute girl who admired him and that was all that mattered!

To Nishinoya-senpai: “I really admire you. You work really hard and never give up and that’s inspired me to work hard too! I made you this charm for good luck at all your games. Here’s a home made bento as well. I know you’ve been wanting one so I made it specially for you! Happy Valentine’s Day, Yuu. I love you very much! 💕”

Nishinoya is so excited and happy he can’t even speak. All that comes out is a garble mass that sounds suspiciously like “thank you”, “you’re the best”, and “oh my god, I think I’m in love”.

Forgoing further attempts to speak, he opts instead to gather you in a huge hug, planting a long kiss on your lips to show his appreciation.

Blind date! with haikyuu characters if you do those?

But of course! Hope you enjoy!

Tapping your foot nervously, you turn your head back and forth, eyes searching. What if you missed him? What if you had the wrong time? What if you were stood up?

“______!” a loud voice shouts drawing your attention to the far end of the platform. You can’t believe your eyes. Your date is…Nishinoya Yu?!

“Sheesh, I’m sorry I’m late, I had the wrong station written down!” he pants, hands on his knees as he bends forward to catch his breath. Once he does, however, he’s all bright and wide smiles. “Are you ready for our date? I got tickets to that new amusement park in Tokyo! I know it’s a long train ride but it’ll give us time to catch up.”

“Um, Noya-san?” you ask tentatively and he turns expectant eyes on you. “If…if you wanted to go out on a date, why didn’t you just ask me? I mean, in person?”

He blushes, kicking at an imaginary rock. “It seemed like a good idea at the time. I…are you upset?”

You shake your head rapidly. “No, no, no! I was just…curious. Honestly, I should have been clued in when it was Tanaka-san setting this all up but…you know, what? It doesn’t matter.” You take his hand and he can’t stop flushing with pleasure. “I’m glad it’s you.”

Karasuno First Time Head Canons

haiykuties:

I saw a mention of first times for Karasuno and came up with these. Hope you enjoy! -Admin Jade, @vball-baes-bball-babes

Daichi

  • Daichi’s first time takes place in his first or second year of university with a girl he’s in a stable, committed relationship with.
  • Boy is prepared, this has been planned. We’re talking soft light, mood music, bottles of water (hydration is important), condoms, lube and the comfort of his room without his roommate home.
  • Slow and gentle, Daichi takes his time not only because he’s still figuring things out but because he wants to remember everything clearly.
  • When they actually connect, Daichi’s face is a little pensive due to his concentration (especially if it’s her first time too, he doesn’t want to hurt her). That and he’s concentrating on not coming too fast.

Sugawara

  • Also has his first time in university, most likely during his first year with his girlfriend.
  • Despite his interest in kinks, the first time is fairly traditional. He wants to savor the emotional connection more experimenting.
  • He bites his lip a lot trying to stifle his moans but fails miserably; it just feels too damn good.
  • Is willing to try oral the first time, he’s been curious about it for years and will most def want to try it if she’s game for it.

Asahi

  • Baby boy will wait until he’s been in a safe, stable and healthy relationship for a good long while before he takes this step. I see him waiting until he’s in his mid-twenties before having sex.
  • His movements will be super hesitant but if he’s with the right girl she’ll be chill with taking some lead; he removes her shirt, she removes her bra. He removes his pants, she takes off his shirt.
  • Starts super slow, kisses all over, he’s taking his time not only to enjoy her but to work up his nerve.
  • When they finally connect, his eyes are screwed shut tight, not only because he’s overwhelmed with the sensations but because he’s still a little embarrassed.
  • After it’s over, he’ll probably shed a few tears. He’s never been this vulnerable with anyone and it’s very intense for our glass hearted ace.

Tanaka

  • He has his first time as a third year.
  • It’s spontaneous after a huge win in a tournament, his girlfriend wanting to give him a reward for his awesome performance as Karasuno’s latest ace; that and he’s just frickin’ hot when he plays!
  • They go at it either in a closet or latch the door on the locker room. It’s not the ideal location for a first time but they’re too into each other to really care.
  • He buries his face against her neck in effort to cover his moans, she just feels amazing and he loves her so damn much!
  • The first years are slightly scarred hearing Tanaka-senpai moaning like that.

Nishinoya

  • Also has his first time as a third year.
  • Takes place during a graduation party because he just couldn’t wait to get back to his or her house.
  • They’re either in the bathroom or a random bedroom, either way they’re so wrapped up in each other the surroundings don’t matter.
  • Noya has no chill, like boy is moaning and groaning like they’re the only ones in the house.
  • No matter the position, his head thrown back, eyes shut and hands gripping her tight.

Ennoshita

  • Happens his third year of university or possibly after his graduates from there. He’s in no rush and wants to make sure things are stable with him and his lady before taking this step.
  • Is the kind of guy who’s done research. Like, not watching porn, but instructional DVDs, has read articles, he doesn’t want to go into something like this blind.
  • All that research, however, can’t prepare him for how amazing it feels to connect with his lady for the first time intimately.
  • He’s more vocal than he thought he’d be, gasping her name and praising her for making him feel so good. He maintains eye contact as much as possible too.

Kinoshita

  • First time during university probably his first year. Waits until he knows he loves her and she him; he doesn’t think he can do something this significant without that level of commitment.
  • Is super nervous and constantly asking questions. “Are you ok?” “Do you like this?” “Am I making you feel good?” He needs consistent encouragement and being reassured.
  • Loves long kissing, like, he cannot get enough of her lips and he’s a damn good kisser.
  • Focuses so much on her, he almost forgets himself but when she hitches her legs around his waist and draws him into her, he moans into her mouth, eyebrows furrowing sharply.
  • Releases her lips to gasp in air and breathes out he loves her.

Narita

  • First time is when he goes home for a Christmas break during university.
  • Reconnects with an old neighborhood crush who’s also home for the holidays.
  • He’s a calm and collected guy so when she shows interest, he goes with the flow, going with her to her room during a Christmas party.
  • It’s a bit bumbling because of nerves but overall he does well. He’s happy to be experiencing something of this nature with someone he’s known so long.
  • They end up establishing a relationship that carries on throughout university, resulting in them getting married after graduation.

Tsukishima

  • Early bloomer, Tsukishima has his first time in his second year.
  • Spontaneous to say the least, probably happens following a heated make out session with his girlfriend during a study date.
  • Hands travel to new places, she reciprocates the touches and he just goes with it. He cares a lot about her and the moment, somewhat awkward as it is, feels right.
  • Gritted teeth, sweat on his brow, low grunts and somewhat stiff movements but he does his best to take care of her properly. He wants to maintain his “cool” reputation after all.

Yamaguichi

  • For some reason, I picture this boy as waiting until his wedding night.
  • He’s a nervous wreck but as she kisses him and traces over his freckles, he relaxes into her touch, trying to clear his mind and just focus on how she makes him feel.
  • Touches her back, hands a bit shaky from nerves, but gains more and more confidence the longer the foreplay goes.
  • As he enters her, he’s looking in her eyes, telling her how much he loves her while kissing her face.

Kageyama

  • I can see Kageyama having his first time also be a random hook up, probably while he’s touring with team Japan when he’s an adult.
  • Meets her at a bar he was dragged to by his team under their insistence that he needs to loosen up.
  • She tugs him to the dance floor and the feel of a female’s body brushing up against his so provocatively ignites utter want and need in this young man.
  • Back in her room, he has no idea what he’s doing and it shows. His face is bright red as she patiently gives instruction but he’s nothing if not a good student.
  • His first time entering her, he moans loudly and it makes him blush even harder if possible but she encourages him and he keeps going, enjoying the feel of her and thanking his lucky stars to have run into someone so kind as her.
  • Because this is his first emotional connection on this level, he asks to stay in contact with her which kicks off their long distance relationship; resulting in him becoming pro at phone sex.

Hinata

  • Oh our sunshine boy! I can see him having his first time his first year of university because all through high school he was solely focused on volleyball.
  • Not that he doesn’t still play but he’s become more aware of other needs and so when he finally gets a girlfriend (not that he really had to try that hard because he’s a precious love who would worship the ground she walks on), he’s eager to be with her.
  • A flurry of removed clothes (probably a few seams being sacrificed) and quick kisses. He can’t touch or taste her fast enough!
  • Can’t hold back his “bwah” and “ugh” sounds; he’s very vocal and that remains true for every time after the first.
  • At the end of it, both are sweaty, panting and messy but happy.

Ukai

  • Volleyball isn’t the only place Ukai had game, he was also quite popular with the ladies (and still is).
  • First time was his first year, he didn’t waste time.
  • Random hook up at a party, but he’s not complaining.
  • Maintained his serious expression but it was a whole lot more tender.

Takeda

  • Had his first time after obtaining his teaching degree.
  • He’d gone out to celebrate with friends and ended up drinking a bit more than usual.
  • He and a fellow student he’s been flirting (bashfully) with all semester get hot and heavy in one of the VIP rooms.
  • One thing leads to another and they end up hooking up but it’s more of a dry hump to coming, than actual intercourse.
  • His glasses askance, Takeda breathes heavy against her neck, hands trailing up her shirt against her back as she rocks against him.
  • Not the best “first time” but it’s his first ever releasing thanks to another person.

Yachi

  • I picture Yachi also as one who waits until she gets married, if for no other reason than she’s terrified of getting pregnant and just isn’t willing to take that risk with someone who isn’t fully committed to her.
  • Her knees are knocking but he goes slow, taking off her clothes in stages to allow her to acclimate; he wants this to be pleasurable for her too.
  • Once they’re both naked and in bed, he continues to take the lead, kissing and touching her until she’s positively melting.
  • At their final connecting, she cries both in pain and because of the heavy emotions she’s feeling.
  • Overall, it’s an amazing experience and she’s eager to try again, though the next time she hopes will hurt less.

Kiyoko

  • Second year university with her boyfriend is the first time Kiyoko has sex.
  • Is very bashful, often trying to cover up as he takes off her layers; she’s embarassed by her scars from sports.
  • He reassures her, murmuring sweet words of praise and encouragement in her ear.
  • As he enters, she squeezes her eyes shut, a few stray tears sliding down her cheeks but as she warms up she moans quietly against his throat, kissing him.
