Most of these have a theme of some self consciousness the reader has about their weight, so forgive me if that is not the feel you wanted for this. If so, please let me know and I’ll try again! – Admin Jade

Nash

After a long day of basketball, Nash tugged you into his lap, silencing your protests of being “too heavy” for him with a smack to your pleasantly plump backside. “Shut yer mouth about that shit,” he grumbled, wrapping his arms tighter about your waist and resting his head against your back. He breathed you in, your scent calming him.

Seto

The dip of the bed announced your presence, one Seto had been waiting for all night; not that he was going to admit it. Without a word – or removing his sleep mask – he rolls to his side, tugs you into his chest and falls back asleep, grateful for your warmth since the night had grown chilly.

Haizaki

Heavy breathing filled the air melding with a scent that only came after you both did. Hazaki lay on his back, a satisfied smirk on his lips. It fell away momentarily when you snuggled into his side; he wasn’t usually one for cuddling. But the softness of your form against his was too addicting to ignore, so he slipped an arm around your ample waist before allowing himself to drift off too.

Reo

“Come on, let’s cuddle up and watch a movie,” Reo insisted, pulling you to the couch. Popcorn and soda at the ready, he fell against the arm of the couch, drawing you close to his side. His fingers played idly with the hem of your shirt before drifting under it to caress your warm skin. He knew you were self conscious about your body and so made a point to touch you in as many ways as possible to make sure you understood he thought you beautiful – both inside and out.

Nebuya

“Now I gottcha!” Nebuya cajoled, arms wrapped securely around your waist before he flopped onto the bed.

Squeals of laughter mixed with imploring to let you go before you smothered him. His booming laugh vibrated through your very being. “Stop being silly, babe, you’re perfect.” He snuggled you tighter to himself. “Besides, you know I always like you on top,” he teased in your ear.

Imayoshi

Another late night, another missed opportunity to spend with you conscious. Loosening his tie, Imayoshi watched the rise and fall of your chest. Changing into pajama bottoms, the top of which you were wearing, he climbed in bed next to you, hand tracing the curve of your waist to your hip. You rolled toward him, mouth parted slightly as you breathed in and out. He may not have had the chance to talk to you but watching you sleep as he held you was a good consolation prize. Besides, he could always wake you up a bit earlier in the morning.

Aomine

“Daiki, do…do you think I need to lose weight?”

To your boyfriend, the question comes out of nowhere; literally. He thought you were asleep as he almost was but your inquiry has his eyes opening once again.

“What’re you talking about?” he mumbles against his pillow.

“You heard me. Wouldn’t you prefer someone with a little less…spare in their tire?”

He snorts, leaning up on his elbows to look down at your pouting face.

“Babe, if I wanted anyone else, I wouldn’t be with you,” he insists.

“So romantic,” you sigh, rolling away from him.

“Hey, you’re the one randomly putting yourself down. I’m just speaking the truth.” He pulls on your shoulder, easily moving you to your back once more. Climbing on top of you, he settles his full weight down, encasing you in warmth and security. “And I’m telling you the truth when I say I love you just the way you are.” One hand trails down to grasp your hip. “They don’t call these love handles for nothin’ baby. And I do love them.”

Now it’s your turn to laugh. “That’s my hip you idiot, love handles are on your waist.”

“I’ll handle you however I want to,” he quips back, making you laugh even harder.

Blind date!

There were few things that could make Nebuya nervous, but being set up on a date was one of them. Still, he supposes it can’t be all that bad considering it’s Akashi who’s setting him up.

He is the absolute authority in, well, everything so he should know what he’s talking about when it comes to stuff like this.

Right?

Nebuya fingers the tie around his neck, consternation playing across his face. He’s never really felt comfortable in formal clothing but still, this is a gala and everyone is dressed to the nines. The suit is yet another thing he owes gratitude to Akashi for.

“Nebuya-san?”

He turns at the address and he knows he’s been unable to hide the surprise on his face.

“I’ll take that look to mean you’re pleased?” you tease and he blushes. You giggle, extending one hand. “______, pleased to meet you. Akashi’s description was spot on, though I much prefer the real deal.”

Remembering he should speak, Nebuya manages to grunt out, “I, um, it’s nice to meet you as well, ______.” Then, remembering the training Akashi drilled into him, he offers his arm, working to ease his smile. “Shall we?”

You nod, taking the offered arm and the two of you make way into the Valentine’s charity event, where later in the evening Nebuya makes use of one more thing Akashi insisted upon: dancing lessons.

Kiyoshi

“Why do you always follow us around? Nobody wants to hang out with you!’

“Yeah, just go away!”

Kiyoshi’s tender heart ached, unclear on how and why kids could be so cruel to each other. But then he remembered Hanamiya and figured things could definitely be worse. His first impulse was, of course, to do what he could to help the meaner kids see the error of their ways, but he also knew he couldn’t force people to be friends.

Instead, he waited until they were all out of sight, then called to the boy who’d received such nasty remarks, asking him to help with prepping for the lab if he wasn’t busy.

They worked in silence until Kiyoshi said gently, “You know what they said isn’t true, right? They don’t know everything or everybody.”

The boy shrugged, eyes still on the floor.

Sighing, Kiyoshi considered how he could help, if at all.

“Have you thought about joining a club?”

He shook his head. “I’m not good at anything.”

“Now, I know that’s not true. Did you play any sports in junior high?”

“No, but I played shogi a lot, mostly at home with my dad though.”

“That’s perfect! I think you should join the club, see how well you fair.”

A week later, he spied the same boy smiling as he chatted with his group of fellow shogi players. When he saw his sensei he waved wildly, face beaming and Kiyoshi waved back.

Hanamiya

Hanamiya, as unlikely a candidate to become a teacher as anyone had ever seen, watched the proceedings from a dark corner of the hall. It was the same old story, the strong preying upon the weak and despite all the years gone by, he still tended to side with the strong. But as the sniffling boy made way by him to clean up in the bathroom, he couldn’t stop from saying, “Anyone who can’t stand up for themselves is trash.” When he looked up, his sensei went on, “Do you want to always be known as trash?” He shook his head. “Then learn how to fight back. Better yet, beat them to the punch.”

Mibuchi

“You’re so ugly a dog wouldn’t kiss you!”

“Did your mom do your hair with a hand mixer?”

Cruel laughter rang out in the hall mixed with the whimpers of the poor girl being berated by the “popular” girls. She tried to move away but they continually blocked her path, hurling insults like poisoned flowers.

Their beratement halted abruptly as a deep voice behind them said, “Do you know what’s ugly? Bullying. Bullying is one of the most despicable things in existence.”

They turned, eyes wide at the sight of Mibuchi-sensei leaning against the wall, filing his fingernails. When he looked up, his eyes were hard. “Ugly words come back tenfold on those who expel them, so I suggest if you want to keep your pretty faces pretty, you stop using your lips for such an ugly purpose.”

Hayama

“You can’t do anything right! Why do you even play this sport?”

“Do us all a favor and quit!”

Hayama clenched his jaw, working to keep his temper in check. If there was one thing that frustrated him more than anything else with being a teacher, it was trying to mold the kids into better people than the ones he and his generation had been. He knew it was impossible to reach all of them but things like that made him feel like the failure.

And that made him angry.

“Nobody’s perfect their first week, not even you two!” he snapped, flinging the basketball in his hands towards one of the offenders. The boy flubbed it, sending the ball bouncing away.

“See? Now stop nitpicking each other to death and do some actual practicing!”

They scampered off, muttering to themselves about sensei being too uptight. Hayama smiled; he could take the gossip and the taunts, the attitudes and the death glares. After all, he had the power to give them many, many more laps in they kept acting out.

Nebuya

“That’s mine! My mom made it for me, give it back!”

Nebuya halted in his steps, turning in the direction of the ruckus emanating from the classroom. Popping his large head in, he spied two boys playing keep away from a girl, tossing her bento box back and forth above her head and laughing.

Considering his options, he settled upon a plan.

Walking through the door with a seemingly jovial laugh he said loudly, “Awwww, if you boys were hungry for attention all you had to do was ask! I have plenty of things you can do to expel some of that energy!”

He grabbed the bento, handing it to the sniffling girl and patting her head gently with his massive hand before throwing his arms around the two perpetrators and tugging them into the hall.

“I think we’ll start with you cleaning all the chalkboards on this floor!”

Nijimura

“Give me your homework or else.”

“But…you copied me last week and if we keep doing this we’re gonna get caught!”

A rough grab of the girl’s sweater made her gasp. “Only if you keep wasting time, now shut up and give me the damn papers!”

Nijimura stepped forward, releasing the boy’s hold on her and stared down at him. “Those who can’t do for themselves or face the consequences of their own inaction are destined for failure.” He leaned down, eyes hard. “I suggest you alter your behavior…or else.”

Kiyoshi

The sway of the subway made his eyes heavy but Kiyoshi couldn’t relax, going over and over his last conversation with you. As much as he knew it impossible, humans are flawed after all, he always tried to make sure not to let the day’s irritations bleed into how he treated you. But today, today had been really bad. He’d missed the subway and been late to physical therapy which was always oh so much fun but this round had been terrible. His knee throbbed, his back hurt, and it felt like everything he’d tried to do had gone to crap.

Then you’d called to check on what he wanted for dinner and he snapped. Over nothing, he all but growled for you to figure it out yourself.

The subway came to a stop and he stood, making his way slowly up the stairs and onto the street. When he reached home, he winced, certain he wasn’t emotionally stable enough to properly apologize but you didn’t deserve that.

He’d barely touched his key to the lock, when you opened the door. But instead of the look of anger or sadness he was expecting, you smiled warmly and embraced him around his waist. Somewhat startled, he hesitated but then drapped his arms around your back. The two of you stood there for a moment, just breathing in the scent of one another.

“I’m sorry,” he mumbled against the crown of your head.

“I know, it’s ok, come on, dinner’s ready.”

Grabbing his hand, you led him through the living room to the dining table upon which sat red bean buns and salad. He pulled you up short, sliding his arms around your waist and burying his face against your neck, practically engulfing your small frame. Sometimes he forgot how drastic your height differences were.  “I don’t deserve you,” he muttered.

He felt you inhale, hands caressing over his own. “We all have bad days, Teppei,” you replied, giving them a squeeze. “I don’t expect you to be perfect all the time, that’s impossible.”

He nodded against your skin, planting a kiss to the nape of your neck.

“Now, come on, let’s eat before these get cold and then we’ll ice your knee while I give you a massage.”

Nebuya

Finally home, Nebuya collapsed on the couch with a long, loud sigh. He didn’t think days could be this bad. How was he going to tell you he’d lost his job? And for something that wasn’t really even his fault! At least, not that he broken that stuff on purpose! His large body just didn’t work in small places and the boxes were stacked too close together to begin with. He sighed again, hand covering his eyes. It wasn’t even that he liked the job all that much, but money was tight and he needed to pull his own weight.

When the door opened again, his removed his hand, watching as you hung up your keys and toed off your shoes. Turning, you exclaimed, “Eikichi! I didn’t expect you to be home yet, did you get off early?”

Nebuya felt his throat go dry, dread of what he had to confess welling up in his chest and it must have shown in his expression because you were hurrying towards him, concern etched on your face.

“Honey, what’s wrong?” you asked taking one of his large hands in both of yours. He stared at them, marveling again at how he could engulf both so easily.

Forcing himself to look up, he grunted, “I…I got let go.”

He wasn’t sure what he was expecting, it wasn’t like you were an unreasonable person, but he couldn’t keep his eyes from widening when you moved forward to kiss him. As you caressed his cheek, he leaned into your touch, thankful you were so understanding.

“They didn’t treat you well there, sweetie. It’ll be ok, you’ll find another job.” His eyes met yours again and saw them brighten. “Why don’t you go back to that gym? Maybe they have a position open now!”

He nodded, feeling the tightness in his chest loosen the long you stroked his face.

Standing, you tugged at his hand. “Come on, we’re going out for ramen and ice cream. You need a pick me up!”

He stood, throwing his arms around your waist and drawing you into a huge hug, your feet lifting off the ground making you giggle. “All I need for a pick me up is to pick you up,” he said and your bright easy laughter melted the rest of his stress away.

Okamura

He was sure if he didn’t get home soon, he was going to lose it. It felt like everything and everyone one he encountered were determined to make his day get worse and worse. And the kids had been especially troublesome, some tiff between the captain and vice captain causing a divide that he had no idea how to fix for his team. It made him question whether he should even continue coaching.

Bursting through the door, he all but slammed down his bag, chest heaving as he tried to will away the urge to break down.

“Kenichi, sweetheart, is that you?”

He looked up to watch your lilith figure make way towards where he leaned against the door, barely keeping his tears at bay. When you reached him, he almost shied away, ashamed you were seeing him so weak. Not that you weren’t already aware of his proclivity to be emotional, but it still made him uncomfortable from time to time.

Without a word, you knelt down, untying his sneakers and removing them. You slipped on his house shoes, standing on tiptoe to plant a kiss to his cheek.

“I’m going to get a hot bath started for you,” you said spinning on your heel to head to the bathroom. “You go get out of those clothes and it’ll be ready soon enough.”

Okamura did as told, shuffling to your shared room and stripping down. He already felt a bit calmer just by removing some remnants of a thoroughly screwed up day. Landing heavily on the bed, he waited until you called him to the bathroom.

“Now, get in there and relax, I’m going to cook dinner and if you want to, we can talk about it. If not, that’s ok too.”

He sighed a thanks, easing his large body carefully into the tub but he needn’t worry; you always got the temperature just right and filled it just enough so that he was covered but not overflowing the edge.

He didn’t know what he’d done to obtain the luck that made you his, but he thanked the stars he did.

Iwamura

Shoulders dipped and head hung low, Iwamura made his way home on the train, tugging loose the uncomfortable tie around his neck. Why couldn’t he find a distributor of suits more…well…suited to his large frame? He rubbed his temple, trying to will his headache to go away. The day had been hell, his manager making yet another stupid call on a project and when he’d given his opinion had basically been told to keep his mouth shut; and it wasn’t the first time. How the guy had obtained his position, Iwamura had no idea. He was clueless, constantly making bad decisions then blaming the inevitable poor outcome on those below him.

As his stop came into view, his eyes widened at the sight of you, standing on the platform.

He exited, making his way quickly to your side. Before he could ask, you had your arms around his neck, lips planting a kiss to his own. Pulling back he cupped your face, looking down into your eyes. “What…what are you doing here?” he asked quietly.

“You sounded like you could use a night of relaxing so I booked us a room at that osen like hotel. You know the one? It’s got private baths and everything!”

He chuckled, trailing his fingers down your neck to grasp your shoulder. “So you could tell, huh?”

“Of course I could tell, Tsutomu!” you chided, slapping his massive arm playfully. “We’ve been together so long sometimes it’s like I can read your mind!” You grabbed his hand, tugging his massive frame up the stairs. “Now come on, we have a lot of relaxing to get to and I don’t want to waste another minute here!”

Though his smile may have been wary, it was no less genuine. You always took such good care of him.

Love for the KNB boys!
