I’m sure most are aware of the general idea of this but just for officialdom (I’m showing my Iida here I know) here is what I found on “how to play the pocky game”:

All that is required is one box of Pocky, a long biscuit with chocolate on one end. Two people begin eating one Pocky from each end. The first person whose mouth comes off the Pocky or the other player gets to the middle first loses. If the participants end up kissing, it is a tie.

Sero

• Honestly, he’s probably one of the first to suggest playing the game as a means to tease his fellow heroes in training.
• Blanches a bit when the realization hits him that he’ll have to play too
• Puts up a brave front until he draws lots to play with his crush. Queue his face flaming as red as Kirishima’s hair
• Becomes even more self conscious when Bakugo graciously warns him not to “bite her face off with those massive teeth.”
• As they get closer and closer to the middle, he loses his nerve and lets go.
• But his crush has other ideas, whipping the pocky out to make way for her lips to plant to his.
• So he may have lost, but he actually won

Midoriya

• Oh this boy is a nervous wreck! What if he’s paired with someone mean?
• It’s worse than he envisioned when his crush steps in front of him. Just wonderful.
• He almost bites his tongue when taking the first nibble and the egging on from well meaning but completely distracting friends isn’t helping the situation.
• Also ends up letting go, voice shaking out, “I…I guess you win.”
• She looks sorely put out by his timidity but Midoriya wouldn’t be Midoriya without the fact he’s still learning to be brave in more ways than just being a hero.

Bakugou

• Loudly protests this is a stupid game and a waste of good food.
• But his competitive nature outweighs his never to be admitted embarrassment and he begrudgingly secures his end of the pocky staring his crush directly in the eyes; there is no fear.
• When “go” is announced, he takes pretty much the entirety of the pocky in one go; all that yelling has given him quite the jaw muscles.
• This inevitably results in him inadvertently kissing his opponent.
• “Tch, idiot, shoulda let go,” he grumbles, cheeks a shade of pink he woefully despises.

Kirishima

• Probably the second instigator of the game because what’s more manly than kissing in public?
• Rethinks this assessment when he’s paired with his crush but he soldiers on planting himself firmly in front of her, pocky between teeth and a cocked eyebrow.
• Is not prepared for her to rip the pocky from his mouth and kiss him.
• His whole head resembles a cherry when she pulls back but he’s grinning ear to ear.
