Kuroo/Yachi being set up on a blind date please.

College AU because I’m weak for those. Also, they don’t know each other from high school. Also, I’ve been doing a ton of Role Play lately and I like the back and forth in the perspectives. Hopefully, it works ok here.

Yachi puckers her lips, applying pink lipstick, a bright contrast to the semi-smokey eye with wingtips she’s sporting. She’s being bold tonight, at least as far as she’s concerned. In the reflection, she looks over the soft pastel teal dress, its hem fringed with white lace down to the jet black fleece lined leggings and spike-heeled boots she’s been dying to wear but had nowhere to go in; perfect for a first date… right?

The ever-present butterflies who have taken up permanent residency in her stomach flutter to life; does she look like she’s trying too hard?

Yachi’s been in a box most of her life: sweet, dependable and… boring. At least in her mind. University has been somewhat of an awakening for her, shackles of her life at home falling away leaving room for exploration and experimentation, if only she has the guts to do it.

“A blind date is perfect for that,” Saeko insisted. “He doesn’t know anything’s different.”

Yes, but what if they hit it off? What if he likes her only because she looks like this? Not that she minds looking like this, it’s a look she likes, has been eyeing for some time but never had the nerve to try on herself.

Stop it Hitoka! No psyching yourself out! Put on your jacket, get your purse and get your ass to the cafe!

Yachi listens to the one strong voice in her head, that nearly always sounds like her mother, and puts actions to its demands.

She’ll never know unless she tries.

Kuroo rushes through the cold of the night, willing time to slow down so he’s not late. He’s supposed to be there first, damn it, and all these people on the sidewalk are getting in his way! Granted, he should have left the concert hall earlier but the final run through of the stage lights needed to be done and of course Oikawa would choose tonight to be extra fussy.

He rounds the bend and enters the cafe where they’ve agreed to meet, sighing in relief when he sees she’s not arrived. Now that he’s here, his nerves have time to catch up with him, slamming him low in the back and crawling up to strangle his neck. It’s been a long time since he dated.

Starting in a high-intensity trade school hadn’t left him much time for it and with his career taking off he’s less time than then. But he’s tired of being lonely.

“I know the sweetest girl. She’s in her second year of university. You’ll love her!”

Kuroo had balked at the idea of dating someone in school, unable to help feeling like a creep. But Saeko-chan has insisted, unwilling to recognize the word “no” and set him up with one Yachi Hitoka, a second-year university student, majoring in business with a minor in art.

Odd mixture.

Sighing, he shoves away his anxiety and takes out his book. Maybe reading will help calm him down.

>

Yachi hurries down the street, her breath coming out in little puffs of white steam. It’s taken her longer to get here than expected, unused to walking in such high heels on treacherously slick sidewalks but she’s managed to arrive unharmed; a miracle indeed.

The bell above the door tinkles musically as she enters, looking around the main floor of the cafe for “wild hair and a smirk” as Saeko described.

Just when she’s beginning to think he may not have arrived (what if he stood her up?) she thinks she’s spotted him. Tousled hair, a sharp but attractive jaw leaned into a large hand, and half shut eyes scrolling over the pages of a book through thick but not too thick square framed glasses.

Before her nerve is lost, she strides forward, the click of her heels sounding loud in her own ears as the ambient noise is drowned out by the thrumming of her pulse.

“Um, excuse me? Are you Kuroo-san?”

Those squared frames eyes flick up and catch her gaze, the intensity found in their beautiful golden hue making her already shaky legs feel even weaker.

He’s gorgeous. And tall, she notes as he begins to rise… oh… very tall. Even in her four-inch heels, he towers over her. Red is definitely his color and the tight black jeans coupled with thick-soled boots are an aesthetic she needs in her life.

She swallows, nearly worrying her bottom lip with her teeth and only just remembering the lipstick there.

>

Kuroo doesn’t realize he’s staring, doesn’t recall he’s even stood up, struck dumb by the vision of cute in front of him. Soft pastel coupled with rock n’ roll leather is a thing apparently for him and this girl is singing his own siren song.

She’s pretty too; wide brown eyes framed by soft, blonde hair with glossy *hot pink oh my god lips… lips that are moving…

“Um… are you Kuroo-san?”

He blinks rapidly, then his mouth opens and he manages to choke out a much too emphatic, “Yes!” He clears his throat, tries a smile that he hopes is friendly; “Sorry, uh, you’re Yachi-san then?”

Stupid question.

But she smiles and chirps, “That’s me!”

And his insides melt because damn, she is so cute.

>

As they take seats across from one another, they both think in tandem, “Thank you Tanaka Saeko.”

Hello! For the three sentence fic, can i have a kurooyachi hospital/doctor au, please. Thank you! Have a wonderful day/night! :)

Thank you dear, you do as well! One of my favorite pairings!!

—————————————————————

Kuroo’s hands slid around Yachi’s waist as she leaned over the sink, her attention solely on the task of applying mascara without stabbing herself in the eye, his voice low and warm in her ear, as waggled his eyebrows at her cute kitten patterned scrubs; “Helllooooo nurse.”

He saw the eye roll but also the smile she couldn’t hold back as she swatted his hands, complaining, though her tone belied any real irritation, “Must you do that every day, doctor?”

Kuroo grinned, nuzzling his nose into the crook of her neck, drawing a mixed sigh of exasperation and fondness from her glossy lips as he murmured, “Doctor’s giving you news, he’s got a bad case of lovin’ you.”

WELL since everyone’s talking about kuroyachi lately… imagine 3rd year yachi who is still just as adorable and sweet, but also a lot more confident and self-assured. and everyone really likes her and she gets asked out a lot, but she keeps saying she’s already taken, except no one believes her bc no one’s ever seen her on a date with anyone. so then one day after school there’s this super hot guy hanging outside the gates, and he’s really tall and scary looking and too old for high school.

hq-rare-pairs:

so everyone is nervous and keeps their distance, until then yachi walks by and screams, bc omg kuroo?? what are you doing here it’s so good to see you i missed you so much!!! and then this guy just fuckin lights and up pulls out some flowers bc he missed yachi so much and wanted to surprise her. and then he bends down so yachi can step on her tiptoes to kiss him!! and that’s when everyone realizes that these two are the most romantic dorks ever. and that’s how everyone meets yachi’s boyfriend!

1. “Oh my God. You’re in love with her.” + kurooyachi please :3

sushiwrites:

Don’t hate me anon! I’m sorry this took forever and a day. Here is a quick Coffee Shop AU for them!

She
comes in every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Usually after the
dinner rush has left, when the cafe is at it’s quietest, she orders a
caramel latte and goes to sit in the corner. When she is not typing
away on her laptop, she is pouring over a textbook, taking meticulous
notes each time.

Kuroo
would know. He’s been watching her for a while. Yachi Hitoka. It’s
the name she gave him to put on her order. And he always makes her
order. The first time she came to the cafe, she looked sad,
depressed, at what, Kuroo didn’t know. So, when she smiled right
after taking a sip of his drink, it caught him off guard. From then
on, he tried to make her smile all the time with all of his drinks.

“Dude,
why don’t you just leave your phone number on her drink?” Bokuto
asked, wiping down the counter. “Or on her receipt? Leave like a
message or something?”

Kuroo
frowned, sure that was what he would usually do when a pretty girl
came into the cafe, but it didn’t feel right to do that with her.
“Nah, I don’t think the usual would work on her, you know? She’s
different.”

Bokuto’s
eye’s widened, a huge silly grin took over his face as he said
loudly, “Oh my God! You’re in love with her!” Kuroo immediately
covered Bokuto’s mouth with his hands, and looked around. Yachi had
turned her head in the direction of the commotion. When she met his
eyes, she smiled and gave him a little wave before returning back to
the book she was reading. Kuroo quickly

“Can
you be a little subtle?” Kuroo hissed, releasing his hold on him.
Bokuto made a show of gasping for air and playfully stuck his tongue
out. “And how can I be in love with her? I barely have spoken to
her, other than taking her order and the weather.”

Bokuto
tilted his head, “Then why don’t you go and talk to her? It’s
better than you just creepily staring at her every time she comes
in.”

“I’m
not creepy!” Kuroo insisted, a bit offended by the remark.

“Yeah
man. Just go up and start talking to her. No big deal. I’ll cover for
ya. We’re slow anyway,” he offered, pushing Kuroo away from the
counter. “You can start by actually telling her your name.”

Kuroo
stared at Bokuto, not sure that if he is actually a genius or super
simple minded. Either way, after Bokuto gave him an encouraging
thumbs up, he made his way towards her table, acting as casual as he
could. He tried thinking of conversation topics that he could start
out with. Maybe asking her what she was studying? Or talking about
her outfit? (Though that might be a bit creepy at first). Glancing
down at the book she was reading, he saw that it wasn’t even near to
being a textbook this time. It was a manga.

“Um,
I’ve read that one before,” he said, trying to keep his voice
steady. Yachi flinched violently from being surprised. Kuroo thought
for a moment that he already messed up his chances with her before he
even got the chance to introduce himself. However, when she saw it
was him, she calmed down and returned to normal.

“Oh,
really?” she smiled. “A friend recommended it to me, and I ended
up buying the first two volumes. It’s really funny.”

She
motioned to the seat across from her, inviting him to sit down.
Kuroo let out a sigh of relief as he took the open invitation. “So
you read manga too, huh? I always see you coming here with work to
do.” He thought that it sounded like he was stalking her, and
prayed that she didn’t think that as well, but when she giggled, he
felt calmer.

“Well,
I’m usually swamped with school work, but this week not so much,”
she said shyly. Covering her face a bit with her book. “I always
come here, so it felt weird to not come. Plus, I really like the way
you make my latte. It’s the best.”

He
blushed, adverting his eyes away from her for only a second.
Scratching the back of his head he said, “I’m Kuroo Tetsurou, by the
way. I know your name from taking your orders, but I wasn’t sure if
you knew mine.”

It
was easy to talk to her. The conversation flowed naturally without
any moments of silences. Topics ranged from mangas that they both
have read, the best way to cook noodles. to the fact that they both
go to the same university. He decided that he liked the sound of her
voice when she said other words than “a tall, caramel, latte,
please. Even more, he liked the sound of her laughter, and vowed
silently to try and get her to laugh more often. It seemed like time
was going slow for them, and yet it went by fast, since before Kuroo
knew it, an hour had passed by.

The
chime to the door rang, and in came another couple of customers. For
the first time since he sat down, he checked on how Bokuto was doing.
There was a small line forming, and by the looks of it, Bokuto was
struggling to keep up.

“Well,
duty calls,” he sighed, getting up from the chair. When he glanced
over at Yachi again, she was frowning, giving an almost pouting
expression. It was cute, and he felt the same way. If he could he
would rather stay here and just talk to her more. Kuroo felt a bit
more confident, and said, “You know, my shift ends in an hour. Can
I walk you home?”

She
perked up, and with a blushing face gave him her most happiest of
smiles,“Yeah, I’d like that.”

I really hope I didn’t write them too OOC. :/ I just like to imagine nervous tol Kuroo fall head over heels with smol equally flustered Yachi.

Penalty Game!

A/N: Omg I loooove Yachi rarepairs and I really couldn’t choose but in the end I am more drawn towards Kuroyachi because omfifui;g.iushig. Do I need to tell you why? Just look a them. So yes, here’s some Kuroyachi tickle fluff, I hope you like iiit!

Summary: Karasuno plays a game against Fukurodani, the deciding match in their tournament with Nekoma in which the winning team will decide the penalty for the losers. Yachi is dead nervous about this, and when he notices, Kuroo teases here with sweet tickles as they share a loving moment together. They have started dating a while back after all<3

Word Count: 1590

“Alright! Karasuno vs Fukurodani, 2nd set, go!”
The whistle sounded through the gymnasium and Yachi just returned to her safe
spot for the audience above the court, after providing the boys with drinks and towels during their short break. She clamped the railing and watching the
game in excitement. The tension. The tension!

Karasuno had gotten together with their
Tokyo Power School friends Nekoma and Fukurodani for a friendly tournament
as a closure of this school year.

Before that, they had a three-day training camp
leading up to this: the deciding tournament in which the winning team could
subject the losing team to the so called Japanese Batsu Game, or also referred to as
Penalty Game. This involved the managers too, so Yachi was dying from nervosity
up here.

What if Karasuno would lose? They had already lost one set. She didn’t want to do
anything embarrassing, and since it was Fukurodani and Nekoma, either one would
probably come up with the most evil penalty game ever. An embarrassing dance? Maybe sing an embarrassing song? Nooo. Not that. Not in front of –

“Heh, nervous sweetie?” Yachi’s face
immediately exploded upon hearing her boyfriend’s voice, and she looked up to
see Kuroo joining her.

“Ah y-y-yes,” she squeaked, and her inner
Yachi immediately scolded her for being this tense towards her boyfriend of
three months. To her it was still unreal that she had started dating Nekoma’s
captain, and with him living in Tokyo they couldn’t see each other that
much.

Kuroo stood next to her and leaned over the railing,
and Yachi blushed when she noticed he chose to stand with her rather than his
teammates who were gathered down on the side of the court, still drinking and resting from their
game while they glanced at Karasuno and Fukurodani’s match.

“Well, of course if we claim victory, we
won’t go easy on you guys with the penalty game,” Kuroo sang, and he
gulped when Yachi immediately looked as if she was dying.

“Just kidding just kidding! I mean -” Kuroo
waved his hands in front of his flustered girlfriend, but she was already
shaking because of the nerves.

“R-relax baby!” Kuroo placed both hands on
her sides to stop her from her frantic shaking, but this caused her to jolt and
squeak before she collapsed against him.

“Eh?” Kuroo blushed and squeezed her sides a
little to help her keep her balance, but Yachi reacted even more and only when
giggles poured from her mouth, Kuroo grinned. Ahhh…

“Oh! Ticklish? Hehe isn’t that fortunate?”
he chuckled, and he squeezed her sides some more, making her squeal and
struggle in his grip.

“N-no dooon’t!” Yachi kicked and struggled
involuntarily. Tickling just did that to her body, but Kuroo didn’t seem to
mind. She managed to turn in his hold and wrapped her arms around the railing,
leaning over it as if she was ready to leap off in a desperate attempt to escape.

“What are you doing? You’ll fall!” Kuroo said, still in his playful teasy voice, and he grabbed her sides right where her shirt had moved up, and he pulled her back down again, wiggling his fingers ticklishly at the same time.

“KYAhaha! S-stop Kuroo-kun hehe!” Yachi squealed as her bare sides were being tickled now.

“Don’t move, it’ll be okay,” Kuroo told his thrashing girlfriend teasingly as if he wasn’t torturing her with tickles right now.

Down on the court, the Karasuno
players looked up at their manager who was laughing her head off.

Not being able to see Kuroo’s hands that took control
over her body by tickling her sides mercilessly, they cocked their heads in
confusion. Asahi was just about to serve when he looked up as well.

“Yacchan, she’s laughing at us,” he mumbled.

“Probably despair,” Tsukishima commented
dryly.

“I bet Kuroo’s telling her the horrible penalty they have planned for us,” Tanaka grunted, but Noya jumped up and yelled:

“As if we’re gonna lose!”

“That’s right! Don’t worry Yachi! We won’t lose!” Hinata
yelled as well, and they continued the game and the noises of the game were back to exceeding Yachi’s pleas.

Yachi blushed like crazy and continued to laugh as she tried to jump
away from her teasy boyfriend, but he gripped her sides and kept her in place.
She gasped when his fingers wiggled towards her front, running across her tummy
and slipping underneath her shirt.

“UWahah it t-ticklehehes! Stooohohop!”
Yachi squeaked, but Kuroo only chuckled and continued his attack on her.

hq-rare-pairs:

I will admit, I have been converted because of those two comics of them, and the great tag we have of them, so:

  • Study bugs study together. They even exchange color coding tips. Kuroo has a great system for science, especially for biology and chemistry diagrams. Yachi excels in highlighting critical points for English and literature
    • Yachi shows Kuroo her notes for managing the volleyball team, and Kuroo starts using some of the charts and stuff
  • Yachi used to be really intimidated by Kuroo’s smirk and, you know, their 38 cm height difference. But once Kuroo realizes how intimidating he is to Yachi, he tries really hard—poor guy—to be not intimidating anymore
    • he slouches slightly when he’s speaking to Yachi, not so much that he towers over her, but so that he leans slightly closer to her to listen to her speak. he smiles, genuinely when he sees her, gives her a little wave before trying to speak to her
  • Kuroo treats Yachi like a princess, as in he picks her up and twirls her around. Then hugging her close, he nuzzles their noses together while Yachi is still giggling
  • He lets her try to draw a portrait of him one time, because she was studying the way his hair works. He has the sketch kept in his drawer, along with all the other doodles she’s drawn while she’s visiting him
  • Kuroo showing Yachi around in Tokyo. They go to modern art and design museums. Kuroo listens really intently to everything Yachi says, and he gives really perceptive and intelligent comments
    • then they go to a science museum and Yachi listens to Kuroo nerd out
  • He keeps her close when they’re on the train, his hand on Yachi’s back as he pulls her to him so she doesn’t start freaking out
  • Yachi and Kuroo taking the CUTEST, purest selfies together. Kuroo has the biggest, cutest grin in all of them and Yachi always gushes about his smile when they look over the photos.
    • Sometimes Kuroo snorts and remarks that he looks kinda stupid but Yachi immediately tells him that he doesn’t, then leans over and gives him a kiss
    • They also go to take sticker photos together and use all the cat stickers.
  • Kuroo always makes sure he has a bag of fugashi at his place when she visits
  • Yachi’s mom immediately falls in love with Kuroo the first time he goes over for dinner. Because let’s face it. Kuroo is a sweetheart. and he’s great with adults. the absolute best boyfriend to bring home.
    • Yachi’s started cooking for herself and her mom from an early age, so when Kuroo comes over for the first time, she prepares dinner: mackerel pike
    • The next few times he comes over, he always come like half an hour earlier than they agreed so he can help Yachi cook

• Whenever Yachi is stressed and jumpy she goes to Kuroo and leans against him or puts her head on his lap while he strokes her hair and asks her what’s wrong
• whenever Kuroo is stressed Yachi puts her hands on either side of his face and pulls him close till their foreheads touch and tells him to only focus on her voice and nothing else. She also runs her fingers through his hair because it calms him down.
• Attempting to tame Kuroo’s hair pt 2: they use gel. A lot of it. Gel can’t wash off. Help!!! “I will be slick shady forever!” “WE- WE CANT LET THAT HAPPEN EEK!!!”
