Request: Could I have headcannons for kageyama, oikawa, kuroo, and lev with a s/o that is really good at school? Like they are in college prep, do extra credit even though they don’t need it stuff like that?

Kageyama

  • DAICHI, YACHI, AND SUGA ARE THANKING ALL HIGHER POWER THAT YOU STARTED DATING KAGEYAMA. Now it’s your job to tutor the poor boy.
  • He really admires how smart you are. He’d never say it to your face, but your determination and wit just floors him. 
  • He really hopes you don’t think he’s stupid or underestimate him because he is not on the same level of intelligence as you, and it really eases his insecurity when you point out how calculated he is when it comes to volleyball.

Oikawa

  • As we all know, this boy is hella smart too. He relates to you 100%.
  • You two both complain about teachers together and just make jokes about the classes all the time. He does a great imitation of your English teacher. (Pls don’t let him get caught doing it tho lol)
  • He doesn’t get why you  do all the extra credit if it’s not needed though? He calls you a nerd all the time when you do it…(but jokes on him at least you’re not failing Personal Finance *side eye emoji at Oikawa*)

Kuroo

  • ANOTHER boy you can totally relate to. He takes all the science college prep though, so if you’re taking more humanities based college classes…he can’t relate…but at least you two can bitch about the workload together. There are many inside jokes between you two.
  • You guys are that overly smart couple everyone HATES. Like you guys just ace every test and both do all the extra credit and like 70% of the school is just pissed because WHY ARE YOU TWO SO SMART. IT’S NOT FAIR.
  • You and Kuroo don’t mind though because fuck the haters. You guys have study dates all the time (which may or may not lead to him just throwing things at you to break your concentration and convince you to cuddle with him).

Lev

  • He seems pretty nonchalant about it, but inside Lev is screaming. How the hell are you SO GOOD at school? He is highkey intimidated by your intelligence.
  • He tries to do his best to make him seem more valuable to you. Like he starts trying harder at school and volleyball. Also he tries his best to sound smart around you. (But he usually has no idea what he’s talking about and Kuroo and Yaku are not afraid to call him out on it)
  • Eventually he just comes clean to you and explains his insecurity, and you tell him he doesn’t have to pretend to be someone he’s not to be your boyfriend and you love him no matter what. (and you give him a lil kiss on the cheek and he is so FLUSTERED) He is so pumped he ends up actually hitting a spike at practice later on.

Thanks for something cute and fluffy, clearly I’ve been in a negative head space (valid as it may be considering what’s looming on the horizon) but these legit made me SMILE.

oh oh the inbox is open!! can I ask forrr like late-twenties hcs for yamaguchi, hinata, and noya please? what they’re like with their s/o or just in general. all grown up :’)

Yamaguchi Tadashi

  • Okay, okay, here me out of this. Think about this kid on a motorcycle. He probably got it after he finished college cause he felt like he just needed to spice his life up and do something a little spontaneous rather than what was expected of him, right? And it’s his baby now, he loves taking it out any day or night of the week!
    • His mom totally hates it – thinks its a death machine – but he doesn’t care. He probably picked his significant other up on it for their first date or pulled into the parking lot where they were meeting for the first time on it. SWOON. But he’d always ask if they were comfortable riding it rather than assume they’d just hop on.
  • I can see him working as a waiter or barista for a year or two after he finishes college. Not only because it’s harder to get a job than people make it seem, but because he’s terrified of the idea of having to have his life figured out.
    • They surely have conversations about that very thing all the time. Yamaguchi would be hanging out at their place and they’d ask him about his job hunting and he’d just dive right in – boy doesn’t hold back on any thoughts or emotions with them, he’s a complete open book.
    • It’s also them that probably pushes him to actually actively pursuing a job related to his field. With them backing him up and supporting his choices it was a lot easier for him to feel comfortable moving forward in life!

Hinata Shouyou

  • I see this boy being an avid cafe visitor. He’s definitely got his spot that he goes practically twice and week without fail. And he always orders the same thing and tries to sit in the same spot. It’s also where I see him on his laptop checking and editing his photos – in an AU where he’s a photographer, maybe for sports?
    • Oh, this is totally where he met his significant other! Either it was someone that Hinata became painfully aware was constantly coming in on the same days as him or he just felt brave that single time seeing them and NEEDED to ask them out for coffee.
    • Lol, their first date is totally at that very coffee shop! And it’s been a symbol in their relationship ever since – like maybe they did their engagement announcements there or perhaps the proposal took place there, lol!
  • Oh, I just have this gut feeling that it took this boy a couple times before he figured out how to pay his bills on time. Like, he was always so caught up with everything else he was doing, the last thing on his mind was paying some electric bill.
    • Lol, watch the two of them be going at it in the shower or something and next thing they know the gas gets turned off and they’re just dowsed with a downpour of cold water! “NOT AGAIN!” “THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE????!!!?”

Nishinoya Yuu

  • My favorite headcanon to associate with Noya ever is that he and Tanaka room together and they have a complete open apartment. So, literally anyone and everyone they know are walking through the door at any given moment and it’s completely normal, they’re even greeted with offers of food – or in some people’s cases, no offer is needed!
    • And I think that even after Tanaka moves out – to move in with his significant other – that policy just sticks to him. Omg, watch him start to date his significant other, right, and they’re not aware of just how openly people wonder in and out of the place and they find themselves in quite the predicament wondering around in their underwear!
  • I just totally get the feeling that Noya goes backpacking all the time. He’s got a weekend off, hiking, he gets two weeks vacation, doing a portion of the Camino de Santiago, decides he needs to get away for a month, hiking the John Muir Trail. Oh, and it would totally mean the world to him if they were willing to go with him, even for a day hike or something.
  • Legit always in contact with everyone from the team. He calls Asahi, Tanaka, and Hinata almost every other day and the rest he chatting with at various points throughout the week, even Tsukki! They’re bonds that were very important to him and he refuses to let them all just disappear!
    • I can see him setting up reunions and such too, or maybe always suggesting that they meet up somewhere. And he always brings them along with him not only to show off his amazing catch but because he wants them to know the people that are important to who they fell in love with!

This is so precious!

Who would Seijoh Fall For?

A/N: I wasn’t originally going to do the First and Second years but I did them anyway? Hopefully I pegged them right 🙂 enjoy!

Oikawa: He finds himself attracted to level-headed, down-to-Earth people who have a fun-loving side to them as well. He doesn’t really have a preference for introverts or extroverts, but it’d be best for whoever he dates to be accustomed to meeting other people and going to games or parties. Oikawa gets stressed easily because he overworks himself and bottles up this side of him/negative emotions in general in order to not distract from his cheery, popular side. Someone who’d be there for him at his worst and won’t judge him and also get him to vent would be great. They need to be sympathetic towards his issues, but strong-minded and won’t let him keep up with behaviors that hurt him or others around him. They also need to understand how important volleyball is to him and can work with his schedule. He’s a pretty affectionate guy too, so anyone receptive to that would be ideal.

Iwaizumi: He prefers people with personality traits similar to his (responsible, rational, mature) but are more animated and childlike (idealistic and inspiring, not immature and overly emotional) than he is. He would enjoy someone with an optimistic view on life and is loyal to the people they associate with. He also likes people who are strong-willed and take charge of situations instead of being a follower or pitying themself. A calm, caring spirit would suit him well, too.

Matsukawa: A chill person with a mischievous side is the perfect match for him. Mattsun just wants someone who’s low maintenance and can have deep conversations with, but can also pal around with him and crack dumb jokes with. He can also be a a tease, so he needs someone who won’t get offended at his comments easily.

Hanamaki: Similar to Matsukawa, Makki wants someone he can easily make jokes with and will tolerate his occasional teasing, however, he prefers more outgoing/louder people to calm people. He also likes people with loud or odd laughter, he really enjoys hearing it and it makes him crack up as well. Also he’s pretty keen on pranks, so someone good at them would be a huge plus in his book.

Kyoutani: Mad Dog-chan gravitates towards people quite unlike him. People who are helpful, kind, and sympathetic towards others catch his eye. His general awkwardness and “tsundere” personality requires whoever he falls for to be outspoken and understanding so they can catch on to the true feelings underlying his intimidating exterior and let him know how they feel.

Yahaba: Definitely more of an introvert man. He likes people who are more on the academic side but can appreciate his love for sports, and respects others. Straight-forward, mature people with a little fire to their personality really strike his fancy. Also someone willing to put him in his place and is unafraid to give others reality checks (without sounding patronizing) is fantastic to him.

Kindaichi: He is a fan of more reserved people who are direct and in control of themselves and their emotions. They must be independent and self-reliant, people who are overly needy or attempt to boss him around in a relationship will drive him away. He prefers those with knowledge of experience with volleyball or play other sports, but book smart people are not entirely unlikable in his eyes.

Another amazing assessment! These feel very true to these characters! Great job!!
