Kuroko – Regardless of what he wears, he inevitably becomes “the invisible man” thanks to his low presence so he is ok with wearing whatever compliments you and will let you decide. You want to go as werewolves? He’ll put on the mask. You want to be Thing 1 and Thing 2? He’s down to wear a comfy onesie.

Kagami – Just like everything else, this boy is hella competitive and wants to win the costume contest so he will go all out on whatever costume he and you decide to do. I can see him playing to the strength of his height, going as a Titan with you as a member of the military, or he’s Frankenstein and you’re either the professor or bride, depending on your preference.

Midorima– It takes some convincing (and whining from Takao) to get him to agree to dress up. Once he does, he insists on simplicity and something that goes with his lucky item so don’t be surprised if he’s pulling out a doctor/patient cop-out (though he does look unfairly good in scrubs or his white coat). You might be able to convince him to do Phantom of the Opera/Christine since he owns a tux and would only need to get the mask.

Kise – He is ALL about Halloween and will take full advantage of his makeup team to turn you and him into the most authentic looking zombies on the block. He usually has to be all about beauty and poise so being able to cut loose and be gross, covered in fake blood, brains, torn clothes, the works is a dream for him. Just let him do all the planning and sit back to watch the magic happen. Is it cheating? Kagami certainly thinks so but it doesn’t stop Kise from enjoying the day to the fullest. He may even drag you to a zombie event to show off further.

Aomine – Lazy bones here will take even more convincing to dress up. Sure, he wants you to wear something but every suggestion begins with “naughty”. If you’re shy or apprehensive about showing a lot of skin in public but still want to get him to agree to go to a party, suggest superheroes. Skin tight will definitely get his attention. Going as agents of Shield or maybe a Rogue/Gambit pairing will most likely draw him, despite his complaints.

Akashi – Here’s another one who will use his money and the ability to hire people to its full advantage. Full Dia De Los Muertos with costumes that just may be authentic (you wouldn’t put it past him) and makeup artists to paint on the most perfect skull faces for you both. You’ll arrive to whatever party in a fancy hearse.

Murasakibara – Let’s be real, the only reason he’s agreeing to dress up at all is you told him he’d get more candy (bring your own bag just in case). That being said, as long as you don’t make him do any work on planning or making the costume and it’s nothing too complicated or uncomfortable to wear (ie, not a lot of makeup that could get in the way of his candy consumption) he’ll go along with it. Stick him and yourself in black onesies (assuming you can find one that fits him) with bones on it to go as skeletons and call it a night. He’ll wear the mask for the contest but then will be on the couch or in a corner munching his candy.

When I think about Tanaka I imagine him being the ace in his third year. I wonder how he will fare – will he be just as strong mentaly, or will he fear that Hinata is coming up behind him, trying to eat him up? Like Asahi noticed when Hinata bumped into him at training camp. I would love your thoughts on Ace Tanaka, if you want!

Oooooo, my boy! Ya’ll know I love this bad ass who’s actually a cream puff. Yes! Let’s talk third year ACE Tanaka!

Totally named vice captain to Ennoshita’s captain and nobody will let him deny it.
He’s still a bit of a loose cannon but as we saw, Sugawara could get fierce and a bit outta control too so Tanaka fills those shoes just fine.
Takes the responsibility pretty seriously actually. Like, he jokes around still and tries to intimidate the new first years (gets smacked on the head by Ennoshita for it) but he’s the first one to the court and the last one to leave.
Offers help to those struggling. Can’t figure out how to approach the line? He’ll be teaching till his ankles are ready to break cause he’s an awesome senpai!
Buys meat buns and drinks after practice for everyone occasionally (as long as his wallet allows or Ukai’s being supremely generous in the discount department).
Is for sure named Karasuno’s ace. Scores more points from the sides than any other player.
Strong? He’s the definition of the word. His mental strength is as legendary as his spikes.

Part of this, besides his ridiculous strength, is because Nishinoya is very in sync with him and saves so many blocks or rebounds. It’s uncanny how often he’s just at the perfect spot to give Tanaka another shot

Totally builds a friendly rivalry with Yamamoto.

Like, they Snap Chat while at practice taunting each other until their respective captains tell them to stop goofing off
Tanaka grows his hair out and they have mohawk battles.

Picture this: for practice games and training camps, both these boys beg their sisters to help them dye their hair; red for Yamamoto and black with orange stripes for Tanaka

But they bond about the pressures of being the ace

AKA, dealing with Hinata and Lev vying for the title

Overall, though, Tanaka isn’t worried about Hinata. They have different play styles and because he wants Karasuno to be the best, if that means Hinata shines a bit brighter than him for a few games so be it.

But everybody, including Hinata, knows Tanaka is Karasuno’s ace

Whenever he starts feeling a bit overwhelmed, he’ll text with Asashi who is more than happy to offer his thoughts and encouragement.
Starts dating the manager in training (she’s a second year)

It’s perfect because he gets to see her all the time at practice and games where he can steal kisses in the storage room (nobody is fooled) or between sets.
Never has to worry about missing her while at training camp cause she’s there
Complains if she doesn’t get his water and towel first (everyone just rolls their eyes)
Yamamoto hates him for it cause Nekoma still doesn’t have a cute manager (and he still doesn’t have a girlfriend)

Tanaka as ace is bomb and I really hope down the line it becomes canon

I went the other way and am going to talk about how he likes to receive love.

Physically:

Loves when his girl rubs his head. The feel of her hand gently touching his scalp makes him melt. Bonus if she gives him a head massage.
Hugs. As much as this boy loves kissing her, he loves her hugging him. From behind around his waist, around his neck, leaping into his arms, however she chooses to hug him, he welcomes it.

Verbally:

Loves hearing her cheer for him from the stands and yes he can pick out her voice from the rest of them.
Murmured words of affection in his ear will make him tingle all over. I don’t mean, dirty talk (although he definitely loves that too). I’m talking, encouraging him after a bad (or even a good) game. Telling him she believes in him, letting him know how cute he is, how much he makes her happy. He craves validation and having it literally spelled (or spoken out) makes his heart sing.

Vacation with Ushiwakaaa?

Vacation (What do they do during holidays or summer?)

Ushijima doesn’t often take a proper break but with the right influence (ahem, you) he does learn to find joy in taking it easy. Like, actually taking it easy, not just minimal breaks between training sessions.

To accomplish this, most often he and she will go to an osen or plan a beach day. Being around water is very soothing for this stoic ace and he’s able to really let go of all worries and concerns, enjoying the sight (and feel) of her pressed to him in a bathing suit.

Rain with Aomine??

Rain (anything to do with rainy days)

Aomine doesn’t really mind rain, especially those random showers in the middle of summer. He won’t even stop playing basketball if he’s outside shooting hoops, using the slicked up cement and ball to challenge himself.

Bonus if his girlfriend is with him, he loves seeing her clothes clinging to her curves and wetting down her hair. There’s just something about it that gets him going and it’s then he’ll stop to kiss her wetted lips.

Cuddle (Are they cuddly people? How do they like to hug/ be hugged?)

Does Bokuto cuddle? Does Bokuto cuddle? Is the sun yellow? Grass green? This boy was made for cuddling!

Bokuto’s favorite way for you to hug him is what he calls “the koala”, where your legs are wrapped around his waist, arms around his neck and his arms are around your waist probably squeezing the life out of you!

He’ll either bury his face in the crook of your neck and take a deep inhale of your scent or he’ll plant rapid kisses all over your face.

When you’re snuggled in for cuddles, Bokuto is all about wrapping both of you in a large blanket, him reclined with you resting your head on his chest. One of his arms will be around your waist or rubbing your back easily while the other plays with your hair.

He appreciates touches in return, the tips of your fingers caressing his chest or the back of his neck at the base of his skull, playing with his hair in return.

L for Tanaka!!

I may have gotten a little out of hand because I have deep affection for this punky boy!

Tanaka is an all around lover.

He does get a bit blushy at first but once he’s established in the relationship he loves showing her love.

He’ll do cheesy stuff such as:

Try to write her poetry or leave her love notes in her locker
Pick wild flowers and bring them to her
Blows her kisses from the court (gets whacked by Daichi occasionally)
Dedicates spikes to her.

Really, she’s the one who ends up embarrassed; pleased but embarrassed.

Physically:

Arm always around her in some way. Her waist, her shoulders, her hip, his hand is there.
That or he holds her hand constantly.
Kisses, kisses, kisses! Forehead, cheek, lips, neck, his lips are eager to touch to her anywhere they can.
GIANT hugs! Like, every time he sees her it’s like they haven’t seen each other for days. He’ll lift her off her feet, spin her around, it’s ridiculously cute.

Verbally:

When the “I love you” moment is reached, he never fails to tell her that he does, every day. It’s the first thing he says when he sees her in the morning and the last thing he says to her when they part at night.

When Kise gets stressed out he gets his favorite guilty pleasure food (depending on his mood), goes home, shuts the door, turns off his phone and watches trash TV. Reality shows make him laugh because people are just so ridiculous and it serves to remind him that things could be worse.

To no one’s surprise, Ennoshita is PRO at gathering video of each of his children. From when they were in their mother’s stomach all the way to their high school graduation, he somehow manages to capture almost every major moment on film (having his own filming company helps since he can work from home and make his own schedule).

As much as they complained about it at the time (depending on their shyness and age) all three of his kids make sure to tell him how much they appreciate having such a wonderful, literally personal piece of their history.
