Fluffy scenarios with Asahi, Bokuto, Nishinoya and Ukai cuddling with their s/o that’s scared of thunderstorms?

hq-cuties-pls:

Wow it’s been 84 years, but I return with this self-indulgent nonsense! Did I crib a lot of notes from Ouran? Yes. Did this really resonate with me because I am absolutely scared of thunder? You bet. Does it matter than thunderstorms in Japan aren’t really a Thing because of their climate? Not even a little bit. I hope you enjoy!
~Admin Emma (Your Local Goblin)

Asahi

What had started as low rumblings before bed turned into cacophonous thunder that woke Asahi up from a dead sleep. That was no easy feat, given how heavily he slept, but thunder woke him easily. Not that he was afraid of thunder–far from it, actually–but he knew you were. The last time a storm had rolled through, he’d come home to find you shivering in the back of the closet with a pillow jammed around your head. That night was no exception.

“Hey,” he said, running his hand over the curve of your waist. You tensed under his touch, shrinking further under the covers. He wrapped a thick arm around your waist, holding you close. “Hey, ssh, It’s ok.”

“Asahi…” you whimpered, flinching when there was another flash of lightning. The thunder followed a few seconds after, loud and terrifying. It practically shook the entire house.

“Hey, hey,” Asahi soothed, pulling you a little closer. You buried your face in his chest, and he’d almost be embarrassed by the gesture if you weren’t so clearly afraid. He started rocking you gently, murmuring softly under his breath. “It’s going to be ok.”

This was a ritual for you. It was hard to see you so afraid, but he had things that scared him, too. He had totally irrational anxieties that turned him into a shaking, shivering, self-hating mess. You were always there to help him with those; so he would be there to help you with the thunder. He knew nothing he did that was rational would help. So he just allowed his presence to be enough, when it could be enough.

He would always protect you.

Bokuto

While he was no big fan of thunderstorms, he was more afraid of the power going out than anything else. His ADHD made his ears ring if it was totally silent, so if the power went out, he didn’t have his fan, and therefore he couldn’t sleep. So when a rare storm rolled through, he was instantly on high alert. He made sure his battery-powered white noise machine was charged, the candles and lighter were within easy reach, and the emergency supplies were where you’d left them last. You had leftover rice in the cooker, so if he got hungry he didn’t need power…

The storm rolled in so quickly, it didn’t take long for the thunder to roll over his head with a deafening crack. Up until that point, you’d been reading in the living room, bundled in one of his sweatshirts. You’d been pretty absorbed in your book, but the thunder yanked you right out of it. You were as alarmed as a sighthound catching movement in the bushes, and when the thunder cracked again, your eyes went wide.

Bokuto knew he had to get to work; “Hey, ____, I was thinking… I want you to show me that game. That crazy shooting RPG… Mass Effect?”

“You… you want to play Mass Effect?” You jumped when thunder cracked again, louder than before. But it was easier to get your attention again.

“Yeah! It looks fun! And you and Kuroo have that inside joke about ‘best store on the Citadel’ or whatever, and I want in!”

“Right…” you gulped when you saw the lightning flash again, but he held your attention. “Right now?”

“Yeah!” Bokuto said, exuberant and bright.

He wasn’t great at comforting. He wasn’t soft or gentle, he didn’t know how to hold you until you stopped being afraid. He was a man of action–a fixer. He needed to fix it. And he couldn’t fix an irrational fear.

But he could distract you, and make you feel loved and happy. And that was all he needed, really.

Noya

He came home from practice soaked to his skin, the sudden storm catching him by surprise. The apartment was dark, and the low hum of the AC unit was shockingly absent. The only sound was the driving rain outside. The power was out. You were nowhere to be seen.

“____?” Noya called, peeking into rooms as he searched. “____? You home?”

A flash of lightning, followed by an immediate crack of thunder. And then, he heard you. Just the tiniest whimper… you were in the bedroom. He should have known. He dropped his wet clothes into the laundry basket, scrubbed a towel over his hair quickly, and fished his phone out of his backpack. Thankfully, it didn’t get too wet. He plugged in his good headphones–the noise cancelling ones–and cracked the closet door. There you were, curled pathetically in the corner like a beaten dog.

He hated it. He hated that you were so scared, that he couldn’t be there for you. All he wanted was to make it go away. He stole the blanket from your bed and touched your knee. You practically leapt through the ceiling, your eyes darting nervously around before settling on him.

“Y-yuu…” Your voice shook, and you yelped when there was another crack of thunder.

“I’m sorry I’m late,” he said softly, whipping the blanket around your shoulders. He put the headphones over your ears, blasting your favorite playlist, and gathered you close. “It’s ok. I’m here.”

He rubbed your shoulder soothingly, feeling pleased with himself when you started relaxing into his side. He did this for you every time there was a storm. He didn’t even get that itch under his skin when he sat still for too long. This was too important to him. You were too important to him, and he didn’t want you to be scared anymore. He’d do anything…

An hour later, the power came back on, and you were fast asleep.

Ukai

He didn’t care about thunderstorms one way or the other; they came so rarely in Miyagi that he never really had to think about them. Okinawa, though… that was a different story. Many of the locals had warned him that day about a storm brewing just off the coast. Considering the big, ominous-looking clouds on the horizon, he’d taken it seriously. He was glad you’d packed your earplugs for the trip.

Sadly, the thunder was so loud and rain hit the window so hard it was near deafening, the ear plugs didn’t help. You’d tried to go to bed early, but the tension from the potential storm had kept you up. And now, with the rain and wind going full force, you were awake and likely not going to sleep any time soon.

He sighed, scratching at his hair as he climbed into bed with you. He snuck a hand under your shirt, rubbing soothing circles into your bare back; “Hey, it’s ok.”

You nodded, relaxing into his touch, but stiffening when lightning flashed again. He counted the seconds between the flash and the crack of thunder, and the storm was practically on top of the hotel. If he stared through the gauzy curtains, he could see thin cracks of light striking the sea. It would have been cool if you weren’t in his arms, shaking like a leaf.

He did the only thing he could do… the thing that you always said you liked. He sang to you. It was an old song, a traditional song his grandmother sang to him when he was young. It always soothed him, and despite the fact he wasn’t the most gifted singer in the world, you always seemed to love his singing voice. The first few times it had been embarrassing, but after years together, all self-consciousness about the roughness from years of smoking and his tone deafness and the way his voice cracked on higher notes had vanished. All he wanted was to make you feel loved.

After a time–he honestly lost track–your shaking stopped. He peered down to check on you. You weren’t asleep, but you were staring up at him with such naked affection in your eyes, his face flamed.

“Thanks, Keishin,” you said, brushing your fingers along his jaw in a way that made him shiver. “You always know what to do.”

He grinned, pressing gentle kisses to the corner of your mouth; “Anything for my future wife.”

I’M MELTING!!!! I, too, do not like thunder. I think storms are cool but they scare the crap out of me so I can totally relate. These were so, so, so SWEET Emma! You always knock it out of the park!

May I have Hoshiumi (if you do manga characters, of not you could change it to Yaku) trying to ask their crush out who always attended their games, please?

Hoshiumi looked up into the stands, eyes scanning quickly. Sure enough, there you were. He smiled, bright and wide. He could always count on you being there, cheering him on.

Accompanying his happy expression were red rose cheeks. He really wanted to ask you out but his teammates’ teasing echoed in his head.

Are you even sure she likes you?

And as much as he didn’t wanted to admit it, they could be right. He knew he liked you but maybe you really just came to the games to support the team as a whole; not just him.

But he wasn’t a chicken! He was the little giant after all! He could do this!

So after the game, sweaty and running on adrenaline from their big win, he rushed into the halls and up the stairs searching frantically for you.

He found you, talking to your friends. The prospect of an audience doubled his nerves but he wasn’t going to back down. Running up the stairs, he practically shouted, “_____-chan!” You stopped dead in your tracks, eyes wide with surprise as he bowed before you. “Thank you for your support!” He looked back up, eyes shining. “Will you please go out on a date with me?”

You blinked at him, shock on your face. He felt his heart thundering, new sweat breaking out on his brow as the silence between you stretched on.

Then you smiled. “Sure, Hoshiumi-kun, I’d love to go out with you.” You wrinkled your nose a little. “But first maybe you should take a shower.”

He nodded, tearing back down the stairs, shouting over his shoulder, “I’ll meet you outside in ten!”

Could I please request, Kuroo trying to get close to his crush who is considered to be an Ice Queen but instead just has really bad social anxiety and is very shy.

Kuroo knew there was more to her than meets the eyes. No one was one dimensional, no matter how hard they tried to give that impression; even himself from time to time.

But every time he tried to talk to her, she shut him down or avoided him all together.

“I don’t know why you’re trying so hard,” Kenma said, eyes focused on his PSP.

“Haven’t you ever heard of the thrill of the chase?” Kuroo replied.

Kenma glanced up briefly. “If you’re just playing with her-”

Kuroo put up his hands. “I’m not, I’m not. I just… find her intriguing. I can’t really explain it but I really do like her and want to get to know her better.” He sighed, dropping his hands. “If she’ll ever let me.”

“So what’ll it take to get you to agree to coffee?”

You looked up with a start, pen almost dropping out of your fingers. You fixed your face into your usual scowl. “Leave me alone, nerd.”

Kuroo snorted. “Wow, original. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, how about answering my question?”

You got up, intent on walking away but he blocked your path. You looked up into half fringe covered eyes, startled at the seriousness you found. “Why would you want to go out with someone like me?”

Kuroo put his hands in his pockets, shrugged his shoulders. “You’re… different and intriguing and… pretty,” his cheeks colored slightly at this last, eyes casting to the ground. “What do you have to lose?” he added.

Your eyes searched his face for deception, for teasing, for anything to indicate an ulterior motive; and found none.

Finally, you smiled, faintly but true. “Ok, Kuroo-san, I’ll have coffee with you.”

Hinata birthday head canons! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

haikyuulovercompany:

Hi Jade!!! thank you so so so so much for the request and all the support always!! I made head canons for when it is Hinata’s bday, hope that is okay!!

……

Hinata is overall the most happy-go-lucky person in his team aside from Noya. So, when his birthday is finally getting closer, you’ll know.

He jumps around letting everyone know his birthday is around the corner, excited to be a year older.

He’s the type of person to make all kind of plans and try to get everyone together to celebrate. He gets overboard with all the planning ending up with impossible plans to accomplish like going to a theme park and the having a party, so someone necessarily has to come up to him and let him know how unlikely is to do so many things in one day.

Given this, one day isn’t enough for him. He has plans for the whole weekend, so if you are someone close to him, you better not make other plans because he will need you for the whole weekend.

Since he is so full of energy, he likes plans that can involve all of his friend and involve a lot of movement, just like the theme park or any type of expedition. He likes to go back to bed exhausted but with a smile on his face.

Thanks for the request!

Sweet sunshine boy! Thanks for these, they are so cute!

Ushijima – Let the man speak

ASK:From the sentence and Drabble prompts, can I get “You look…” “Beautiful, I know. Can we move on?” With Ushijima with a reader who hates dressing up? Thanks! You’re the bomb!

Thank you so much! I’m so sorry this took me forever to get done but I really hope you like it!

The bra pokes and the material is clingy and why can’t you just get away with wearing a simply nice shirt and skirt?! But no, your mother insisted on buying you a new ridiculous dress that “enhances your features”. You know this is a special evening for Wakatoshi, there’s no denying it but do you really have to get this dressed up?

“_______! Wakatoshi is here!”

You groan, take one last look in the mirror. Your hair is done and you’re wearing so much makeup you wonder if he’ll even recognize you.

One last shift of the bodice then you’re taking slow measured steps so as not to trip over the front of the dress.

You round the corner to find Wakatoshi standing by the door decked out in a full suit.

Ok, so maybe your mom was right.

As you make your way towards him he says, “You look-”

Beautiful, I know. Can we move on?

He tilts his head. “That wasn’t what I was going to say.”

“Oh.” You can’t manage to keep a hurt tone from your voice. Granted, you feel exceptionally awkward and would be the last person to admit you think you look good but you thought maybe at least he-

Wakatoshi’s deep voice breaks into your downward spiral. “You look ethereal.”

His hand lifts yours to his lips, a delicate kiss planted to its back and you blush furiously.

But with a smile.

Bokuto – Friendly Fire

ASK: We’re not just friends and you fucking know it with bokuto and a slightly younger reader, maybe first year, please? i love your blog so much omg

Thank you for the love!!! Sorry, this ended up angsty!

The closet is cramped, though that is of course the point. Pick a space technically meant for one and shove two into it, what do you get? The perfect opportunity to get really close. That is, if both parties are willing. But Bokuto is very aware of how not close ______ is to him and it’s disheartening.

“Um, isn’t the point of this to, you know, be kissing?” he asks, his voice surprisingly quiet.

He feels more than sees her stiffen – it’s impossible not to be touching at least somewhat in this tiny space – and he wonders again at his ability to understand people. Maybe it’s just girls he’s bad with.

She takes a shaky breath, the exhale ghosting over his arm drawing goosebumps. “I…I just don’t think it’s a good idea,” she confesses.

Bokuto’s stomach feels like it’s filled with rocks. He should open the door. Should put an end to her obvious discomfort and his growing despair but he can’t stop the “why” that comes from his mouth.

She pauses again and for a moment he doesn’t think she’ll answer. But then there’s another shaky breath and a soft, “Because you don’t make out with your friends.”

He really should be opening the door but Bokuto isn’t exactly known for his good judgement in high stress situations, at least not all the time. His hands reach forward, palms pressing against her arms and fingers wrapping around her biceps; she’s so small compared to him. He works hard to keep his tone gentle, but the hurt isn’t fully hidden when he says, “We’re not just friends and you fucking know it.”

She gasps and he’s not sure if it’s from his words alone or the fact that he cursed but he’s not letting this – or her – go, not yet.

His eyes have finally adjusted to the dark and he realizes he’s looking at the top of her head.

“______, look at me,” he says, one hand gently pushing against her chin. When she does raise her head he goes on, “Look me in the eye and tell me you don’t feel something deeper between us.” Her head shakes a tiny bit, resistance to a truth that’s been staring them in the face for the better part of the year still strong. “Why? Why won’t you admit you feel it too?” he asks unable to wait out her silence, hands cupping her face and he winces when he feels it’s damp.

“Because you’re leaving and I don’t want to fall more in love with you when you’ll just be gone in six months.”

“Hey, that’s not-”

“Ok you two, times up!” The door whips open letting in blinding light and ______ takes the opportunity to bolt from the closet, the room, then the house where this stupid party is taking place. Bokuto stands blinking, trying to get his bearings then takes off in pursuit, leaving behind a very startled and concerned crowd of friends.

Ukai – Breathing Optional?

ASK: YAY! Please some Ukai with “I think I forgot how to breathe.” THANK YOU

Ukai can recall a handful of things that have robbed him of oxygen. Now is definitely at the top of that list.

“Keishin? Did you hear me?”

He sucks in deep. “Sorry,” he almost gasps, gulping in another breath. “I think I forgot to breathe there for a moment.” His hand slides tentatively over skin, ear pressing to her stomach though he knows he won’t hear anything at this stage.

But still he whispers, “Hello baby, this is your papa.”
