Could I have a scenario of Kise and Narumiya meeting for the first time? I feel like they may clash because they’re hella similar
Oh my god. I had trouble with this one, and the ask that will be posted tomorrow. They are hella similar. I would say that Mei is probably more diva than Kise, but Kise’s probably more immature-seeming. But they are so much a like lol
Also, I had to throw in mention of s/os, which I went back and forth on the gender neutral thing and then decided to do it that way. I think it looks weird, but that’s okay.
Kise Ryouta and Narumiya Mei
Mei’s eyes narrowed, his fists clenched at his side as he
glared at the much taller blond. The other boy outsized him by almost six
inches and at least twenty-five pounds, but he wasn’t about to let that
intimidate him in anyway. Why should he be intimidated out of what he
wanted? So what if the guy was bigger, he wasn’t half as good looking or
talented. Who only got one ear pierced anyway? “Back off, I was
here first,” Mei announced in a bossy tone that said fall in line, peon.Kise, however, was not about to let some tiny brat come
between him and what he wanted, so he glared back in exactly the same
manner. “You must be delusional, because I was here first!” He
shot back, stiffening his back to make the height difference more apparent.“Oh my god, would you look at those guys, talk about hot
right?” A feminine whispered drifted over from a group of girls standing before
a display case some feet away.“I wouldn’t mind climbing ether of them, if you know
what I mean,” another giggled.Kise pouted. Why can’t they see I’m way
better looking that this twerp?Mei’s grin stretched at the conversation, victory flashing
through his eyes. Kise wondered how he could possibly considered that was
win, since they hadn’t actually made a decision one way or another-“It’s a fucking cupcake,” Aomine broke out from behind Kise,
growling. “Just pick another flavor, I don’t want to be here all day,
Kise.”“Maybe I’ll get that cupcake and end the drama?” Carlos
drawled, a wicked grin on his face.“No!” Kise and Mei shouted at the same time, turning to
glare at their respective friends.“It’s my partner’s favorite,” Kise sniffed, giving Mei an
imperious look. “You can’t have it.”Mei scoffed. “Look, I don’t care about your
partner, but it’s my partner’s favorite too, so I’m buying it!”Shirakawa rolled his eyes, while Itsuki began to look more
and more pained. Carlos, however, laughed, his grin just a touch
mean. “Oho, maybe you’re dating the same person? Someone with a
thing for pretty blonds?” He suggested.Aomine immediately snorted, while Kuroko sighed,
preemptively grimacing. Kise and Mei both wore identical scandalized
expressions, mouths falling open and eyes widening. “That’s not-” Kise
sputtered, turning a little red.“Impossible!” Mei screeched, eyes blazing. “My ____
would never-”Carlos doubled over laughing and Aomine with him. “I
can’t believe you would take that seriously based on cupcake flavor
preferences,” Carlos crowed, tears in his eyes.At the same time, the two blonds eyes iced over, looking
first at their friends, then at each other. “Like someone like you could
ever be good enough for my, ____cchi,” Kise stated coldly. “I’m taking
it.”“As if I’d even want someone you already had,” Mei replied,
lips curled into a sneer. “I’m taking it.”Kuroko sighed again, looking skyward as if to ask for
patience. “Why don’t you both calm down and settle this maturely, like
with rock paper scissors or something.”“Mei, mature… right,” Itsuki muttered.
Mei’s hand shot out and grabbed his kohai by the cheeks,
squeezing roughly. “Itsuki! Don’t disrespect your senpai!” He
snapped, still glaring at Kise. “Fine, then, I’m game. Unless
you’re too afraid to lose?”“Like I’d ever be afraid of you,” Kise responded,
thrusting his hand forward. “Let’s do this.”“I can’t believe this,” Shirakawa muttered, covering his
eyes. “Mei, you’re an idiot.”Mei was too involved in his game to hear this, however. The
first two throws were draws, Kise won the third, and Mei the fourth. Just
as they were gearing up to do the last round, Itsuki spoke up, “Um… would now
be a bad time to point out that the cupcake you both wanted just got sold?”“WHAT?!”
This is hilarious
How about a scenario of Yūki Tetsuya’s girlfriend comforting him after the loss that cost him going on to Nationals? Angst to fluff maybe? Thank you!
These are sad memories *weep* my third years… Admittedly, I am 100% Ryou, and Miya, but I miss Tetsu’s unintentional hilarity…
Yuki Tetsuya
The guilt and pain sat heavily within him. If he’d
just been able to hit a little better, been quicker to grab outs, inspired his
team just that much more, they might have won. He should have said
something to Sawamura, to calm him down, because it was obvious to everyone
that the first year’s shoulders were tight. But he’d left that sort of
thing to Miyuki who surely knew better than he did…And now his high school career was over. Cut short
before it could really flourish.Regret was a bitter pill to swallow, though not entirely
unfamiliar. It wasn’t the first time, but, he supposed, it would be the
last time. In high school at least. He felt the worst for his teammates. They had looked
to him to lead them, to make the difference, to bring runners home. And
he’d failed even in that…“Tetsu…”
Yuki looked up, not really paying attention to his
surroundings as he wandered around the school grounds a little aimlessly.
He was basically killing time. It would be summer vacation starting
tomorrow, and for the first time, he wouldn’t have to present himself at
practice every day during holidays. That thought alone caused a lancing
pain to spread through his chest. He realized faintly that he hadn’t seen you since before the
game yesterday. This was pretty unusual, since you were always the first to
greet him after a game. But then, he’d been solely concerned with his
devastated teammates and getting them ushered to the bus and back to
school. And then he’d helped Jun move, and everything had been sullen and
silent. There hadn’t been any time for you.He looked at you now, your eyes soft and kind, and his
throat burned. You understood, if not directly, then in general, and you
got him better than anyone else. He felt lost, unable to control the
devastation of the loss, but also unable to let it out. He had to be
strong. He was the captain.Though, he wasn’t anymore, was he?
When your arms opened, he went right to you. He
circled his arms around your waist in response, burying his face against your
neck in attempt block out the world and the harsh reality of never making
Koshien in his entire three years. Your scent was comforting and your
skin warm and Yuki used these things to focus himself, to leech the strength he
felt had fled him.Your hand moved over his head, your other arm tight about
his shoulders, and for that moment he thought maybe things would be okay.
Not everything was over – high school, maybe, but there was more baseball in
his future for sure. And he still had you, his beautiful, wonderful
girlfriend who had stood by him through never ending training and barely being
able to see him.“I’m sorry,” you murmured into his hair. “I know it
doesn’t feel like it, but you played amazing.”It didn’t feel like it, but you were probably more objective
than he was at that moment. Yuki grunted, unable to find the correct
words to express himself, but knowing you would understand all the same.“There’s only a few minutes of lunch left… but would you
like to hang out after school? I’ll buy you soba?” You said softly, still
holding him.Yuki sighed, tightening his embrace. He was supposed
be going to practice, but there was no practice anymore, and if he had to do
something else, spending time with you would definitely top the list.
“Okay.”“Good,” you smiled, pulling back a bit to press a kiss to
his head. “I’ll listen if you want to talk.”Yuki blinked slowly, hesitant to release you, because the
pain wasn’t so bad when you were in his arms. “Thank you, ____-chan.”
My heart burns!!! You capture the emotions so well!! Thank you for this somber but beautiful piece, so very well done!
