The first character I first fell in love with: Makato!!! OMG he’s just so sweet and loving?! I LOVE HIM AS A COACH TO THE KIDS!!
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Rin. I thought he was an ass (he kind of was) but now I love him. Him as captain is good.
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Haru? I don’t dislike him but he’s not my fave.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Literally no one, I think the fandom loves all the boys but then again I’m still new to it…
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: I truly like all the characters lol
The character I would totally smooch: Makato
The character I’d want to be like: Rin. There’s something to be said for single minded focus but he also has managed to learn to take care of those around him better.
The character I’d slap: None lol
A pairing that I love: Gou x Momo because it’s so funny
A pairing that I despise: None, I don’t follow any ships so it doesn’t matter to me.

Bleach! I’m curious :D
- The first character I first fell in love with: Ichigo. Cliche, I know but there it is lol.
- The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Renji / Byakuya. When they first showed up, of course I didn’t like them. But as Renji’s back story was revealed I fell more and more in love with him.
- The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I haven’t finished watching the anime so I know there are a BUNCH of characters I’ve only “met” through fanfic so my pool is a bit shallow to pull from on this one. Honestly, first instinct to answer for this is Rukia. I don’t hate her, I just don’t LOVE her like a significant amount of the fandom.
- The character I love that everyone else hates: Orihime. She is one half of the fandom’s punching bag. She’s SO MUCH MORE than the anime made her and it pisses me off. But I won’t go into that.
- The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Rukia. When I first started watching the anime I really loved her but as it went on I kind moved on. Again, NO HATE, just not my favorite.
- The character I would totally smooch: Renji. Muscles, tattoos, heart of gold..sign me up.
- The character I’d want to be like: Ishida. Resolute and brave but level headed. Loyal.
- The character I’d slap: Aizen lol
- A pairing that I love: IchiHime (first and foremost). Honestly, Orihime with just about anyone, she’s my multiple ship runner.
- A pairing that I despise: IchiRuki. I don’t despite it necessarily but I don’t like it and I do not like how utterly rude and vitriolic most IchiRuki fans are. Not ALL but most.
i’ve been waiting!!!! haikyuu!! & FMA
Haikyuu
Oh boy my precious volleyball baes! I still
cannot believe the level of obsession I fell into with this show. Fun fact, I
only started watching it because I heard some of the music on an anime play
list. It was so amazing that I had to find out what it was from. Then when I
did I laughed because – really, an anime
about high school volleyball!! – And thus began my love for it and other
sports anime. Hehe. PS all of these will be SUPER hard to answer because I have
too many favorites and I’ve watched through the anime probably four times but I
will try to be accurate lol.
- The first
character I first fell in love with: Fell
in love with…probably Asahi. Once he showed up and we learned his back story I
was all for the glass hearted ace. - The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: This is a toss up between Oikawa and Tsukishima. Both of
them are such BRATS but when I watched season 3 I was cheering my head off for
Tsukki (of course, who wasn’t) and was so
damn proud of him I think I might have cried. With Oikawa, it was during my
second watch through (and a few reader insert fics under my belt that I read)
that really got me paying more attention to him as more than just the “villain”. - The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Ooooo…tough one. I haven’t read the manga so I’m
limited somewhat and honestly, I can’t think of any from the anime that I see
getting TONS of love that I don’t like. - The character I love that everyone else hates: The only one that comes to mind is Yui and it’s usually
because of ship fanatics but I tend to avoid the drama in the tags and so haven’t
actually come across hate. I just know about it on the fringe. - The character I used to love but don’t any longer: I legit still love pretty much all of them. I
know that seems like an avoidance but I really do like/love them all. - The character I would totally smooch: Daichi, his voice is…just damn
- The character I’d want to be like: Tanaka. Sure he’s a bit brash but his confidence, strength
and abilities are to be admired. He is actually a really amazing senpai. - The character I’d slap: on the back…all of them LOL
- A pairing that I love: It’s been shown in my reblogs that I’m a
Yachi with…pretty much anyone fan but the biggest are her and any of the first
years of Karasuno (they all work with her somehow, help) or Kuroo or Bokuto
because SIZE DIFFERENCE MY HEART CAN’T TAKE HOW CUTE!!! - A pairing that I despise: Despise is too harsh a word but in general I do
not ship the boys with each other. It’s just never something I’ve seen so it can
grate on my nerves when people insist certain pairings are canon…when they aren’t…at
all.
FMA
I’ve watched both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal
Alchemist: Brotherhood and enjoy both but Brotherhood is my prefer series. Also
another series with TOO MANY CHARACTERS TO LOVE!!!
The first
character I first fell in love with: Alphonse,
his earnest trust and belief in his brother, his desire to help and protect
others, his deep love for his friends and family.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: GREED!!!! Oh my gosh, especially when he takes
over Ling’s body (spoil alert?) and they have the whole dynamic in his head. I
just…his character is so much more
than you think when he firsts shows up and I freaking love it! Also, oddly
enough, Barry the Chopper?
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Honestly? Can’t think of any. I’m not active in
the fandom per se so I don’t know who this could possibly be. Unless there are
those who “love” Father? Then it’d be him because that bastard…ugh…that bastard…
The character I love that everyone else hates: Again, no points of reference….are there people
who hate Edward or Alphonse? lol
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Bradley before I knew what he was. I thought
he was pretty cool and a good leader…heh… had me fooled too.
The character I would totally smooch: Havoc!!!! I just love that idiot! LOL
The character I’d want to be like: Winery!! Beautiful, smart, brave and a mechanic!
The character I’d slap: Any of the Homunculi except Greed LOL
A pairing that I love: Winery x Edward, Mustang x Riza
A pairing that I despise: Don’t have one I think
Thanks for asking!!!
tbh i can’t say i remember you for a specific line or writing piece but! i do remember your blog for your really good use of imagery. like if i’m feeling up for some hurt in my heart i come here
Thank you! I think this is one of the few times I’m glad I hurt someone lol.
But seriously, this is another thing I’m so grateful to hear because, as mentioned before, I’ve been struggling hardcore with my writing these days. It doesn’t flow the way it used to for me and it’s frustrating and makes me doubt myself about whatever I do manage to put out.
So knowing this is helpful in so many ways.
i like “emotionless” characters like kuroko because even though it leaves so little room to pick and choose what really sets them off or what their motives are in certain situations, when you do find a loophole and pull their emotions to the forefront in a complex way, it’s so worthwhile. it’s just a little harder to do and takes a little longer for me anyway
and as for mr. aomine. yeah. his heart a c h e s when he’s heartbroken. he seems like a person that values intimacy soooo much on the low.
That’s a very good point. It offers a deep well of exploration but you have to be careful how far down you go so that they don’t turn ooc.
I feel like Tukishima Kei from Haikyuu is like that in some ways. I mean, to a point he does show his emotions but he’s so hard and guarded and salty that writing him soft is challenging because you have to really dig to understand how, where, when and why he would let that guard down. It’s a beautiful thing because it’s new and can be unexpected but has to be handled with correct timing.
Same with Murasakibara. Emotions are there, clearly, but he’s so steadfast in his hate of over exertion or “wasted” effort that deeper more visceral emotions are more challenging to portray for him.
And of course there’s Midorima, the tsundere brat lol. Balance, balance, balance.
thank you for the reblog and the compliment/feedback :):) and about the kuroko one thank you for your honesty. really. it’s so appreciated. kuroko is such a complex character in my opinion and i try to stray away from writing him very straight and narrow bc i think that’s what his canon character provides without paying close attention to his depth but at the same time i never want to reach so much that my interpretation of him becomes ooc, you know?
You’re welcome. Honestly, it made me really think and I believe you’re correct, he is much more complex than he’s written most of the time.
Granted, I haven’t actually read a ton with him (which is ironic because he’s the title character) but he’s just not as popular for reader inserts and I don’t really read ship fics.
I haven’t written him very much either because of the lack of requests for him but yeah, I had to read it and re-read it and think about how he is in the anime (never read the manga) and it made more sense to me than it did the first time I read it through.
I also failed to mention that I TOTALLY agree with you about Aomine.
He is not one who would get into a committed relationship lightly, so to have someone betray him like that would damage him hard.
My vote is for Ushijima. Strong and silent’s gotta word hard for my heart
For the queen quote? Absolutely, he’s a great candidate! Maybe I’ll post that again when I open the box or just write it and post it! Thanks for your input!
ah, bokuto!!! I just wanted to ask if maybe, we could hang out after your done with practice? ^^” I just got this new video game and my dog is dying for some attention. -def not Yena
*Bokuto nods enthusiastically, gathering you into a big hug* “That
sounds awesome Yena-chan! I’ve missed you and your doggie so much since I’ve
been soooo busy! Akaashi!!”
*The setter looks over from where he’s standing beyond the net* “I’m
going with Yena-chan, see you tomorrow!” *Akaashi
waves to you before Bokuto slings you on his back, walking down the street and
chattering a mile a minute about how well practice went today. You just sigh,
holding him around the neck firm but not too tight, a smile on your face.”
Wow Hinata those jeans look good on you, but they’d look even better on my floor *wink*
*Hinata collapses on the floor, all of the volleyball team surrounding
him. Yachi is whipping her clipboard back and forth in an effort to get him
more air*.
“Did the idiot get hit with a volleyball day-dreaming again?” Tsukki asks
pushing up his glasses.
“No, ____-chan just
short circuited the wires in his brain,” Noya replies, grabbing a water bottle
and dumping it on Hinata’s face who splutters as he comes to.
When his eyes land on
you he mumbles, “I…I’m not wearing jeans,” before falling backwards again.
Daichi sighs, placing a
hand on your shoulder. “Do me a favor? Try not to kill one half of our secret
weapon?”
*You smile sheepishly and shrug your shoulders in an apologetic motion*.
*grabs the back of Ushijima’s jersey and looks up at him with puppy dog eyes* Can you please teach me how to play volleyball?
*The tall ace, turns around, a perplexed look on his face until he sees
its you*. “You know I won’t go easy on you, right?”
*Tendou sighs, slinging an arm around his best
friend’s shoulders*. “Wakatoshi, when
are you gonna learn to not be so serious about everything?” *Looks at you and smiles though it’s more
nerve wracking than comforting* “_____-chan is a novice, you have to be
gentle.”
*Ushijima looks at you again, nods once and takes your hand leading you to
the bench* “Sit here and watch our practice for now. I’ll work with you one
on one later.”
*He makes good on his word and is surprisingly a good teacher if a bit
blunt in his criticism*. “Your form is terrible, bend your knees and put
your arms like this.”
*But it just makes getting his praise all the
sweeter because you know he doesn’t waste his breath with lying*. “You did
well today, ____-chan, I’m really proud of you for working so hard.”
