Cinnamon-bunny-artist Soulmate AU
I’d like the Soulmate AU where you can only see in black and white until you touch your soulmate (Since I like to draw I have the idea that in this AU I’m never able to add colour because I can only see in black and white!)
I’ve sent in a matchup before but here is a brief description: I’m a very quiet and timid but also cheerful person who daydreams lots so I seem distracted most of the time! I love animals and I hope to be a veterinary nurse or work at an Animal rescue! I’m shy with physical affection but I do like it and I love cuddles!
I think what is most important in a person is consideration of others emotions (I’m easily affected by words so it’s a lil personal ^-^’)
I’m not up to date with the manga yet.
Hello dear,
Thank you so much for this request. You sound like such a lovely person, and it was a lot of fun to make you meet your soulmate. We hope you enjoy!!!
Maybe a little more here… lifting your pencil to the spot, you started to up the contrast, fill in darker shadows. You were so focused on your sketch, you didn’t notice the time slip by. Every so often you kept sneaking glances up at your favorite model, sitting with his cup of hot chocolate and laughing wholeheartedly.
His dog’s giant fluffy head lay on his lap, undisturbed by all the laughing and it made for a serene picture. You couldn’t pass on the opportunity to save this image for later indulgence. Your sketchbook was already filled with the mystery man. You kept bumping into him at the most random places and you figured he must live in the neighborhood.
At first, you justified your doodles by the need to practice. Drawing people was tough and he had really prominent facial features. His boisterous laugh somehow transferred into his face, transforming it into something that was so fascinating, it made you itch to draw him, capture this infectious happy man and his beautifully fluffy dog.
But soon it was more than that – your hand moved without a thought every time you saw him.
Of course you also had a lot of pages filled with his dog. It was a fluffy dark giant who seemed so calm in contrast to his human, their contrast complimenting each other perfectly. Once again you wished to see color so bad – with every sketch your curiosity grew, wondering about the effect colors would have on your drawings, on your perception.
The beep of your phone brought you back to reality.
>> Where are you?
Cursing you glanced at the time. You stood up, swiping everything into your bag and leaving a bill to cover your coffee and cake, yelling a quick sorry over your shoulder before you started running.
~
With a loud sigh of relief you made it to class and you plopped down in your usual seat, letting your bag fall to the ground with a bang. Trying to catch your breath you heard your friend giggle, giving you a thumbs up. “You made it! What have you been working on? Been lost in the eyes of mystery man again?”
Sticking out your tongue and blushing slightly, you couldn’t help your small smile. She was always cheering for you, curious about the art you created and it made you so happy, thankful to have the support of your friend. It hyped you up, seeing her so eager for a peek at your works. Even her teasing was full of encouragement.
Picking your bag back up again you rummaged through its messy contents only to realize that your sketchbook wasn’t there. You checked, again and again, until you spilled everything out on your table – but nothing.
Damn… you must have left it at the Cafe. It must have dropped without you noticing. You felt the urge to get up and get back there, afraid of someone else picking it up and looking through it. That could certainly be embarrassing. But your teacher was already standing in front, waiting for everyone to be quiet and start his lecture.
~
As soon as the bell rang you sprang up, running out with a quickly shouted apology to your friend. You went back to the Café, looking everywhere, asking the staff – but noone has seen your sketchbook.
You felt like screaming as you left, letting your head hang heavy, not bothering to look where you went. Mumbling to yourself, angry at everything. You almost fell over a dark fluffy mountain.
Your heart almost stopped as you recognized the dog standing in front of you. He sniffed at you and decided you were trustworthy enough to let him pet you. So he nudged at your hand and you chuckled, obliging happily.
“Hey there handsome” you whispered, scratching his head. His tongue lashed out, licking you across the face. “So charming” you laughed, patting his head some more for good measure. “Where is your human?” you asked and he cocked his head, giving you a deep “Wooof”.
“He seems to like you” an amused voice said behind you.
You felt your face turn beet red. You knew whose voice that was. Hell, you even knew whose dog this was. But somehow it didn’t register until then. You stood, turning slowly, giving mystery man a shy smile.
“He is quiet the charmer himself.”
Looking at the man in front of you, you studied his bright smile, his wide eyes, his unusual hairstyle. You wondered once again what he would look like in colors, itching to draw him.
“Bunny!!!!” Your friend waved at you from across the street and you excused yourself, gone before he could even reply. You prayed he didn’t notice how your heart was trying to jump out of your chest to leap at him as you crossed the street to meet your friend.
~
“Was that mystery man?” your friend whispered, nudging your side.
“Shuuush!! What if he hears you?” you were walking fast, somehow embarrassed about what just happened.
Even though nothing happened.
~
“Ah, now she is gone again” he whispered in awe, looking after you.
The black dog’s ears twitched and he stared, somehow disbelieving.
“Come on, don’t look at me like that Kuroo. She was gone before I could have said anything”
Kuroo huffed, turning his head to look in the direction you ran off to.
“You act like human Kuroo more and more each day, you know?” the man laughed, patting his companions head before continuing on their way.
“I’ll tell her next time for sure.”

You felt so lost without your sketchbook. It wasn’t like you didn’t have a spare one – but you collected so many doodles, each holding a memory and you were deeply upset about losing it. It didn’t matter that they were still just sketches, not yet colored in because.. well. You didn’t see colors.
Those drawings meant a lot to you. This sucks. You rolled around on your bed, trying to think about something else. But somehow all your mind could come up with was todays encounter. The way you fled the scene so fast was making you flush in embarrassment now. What were you thinking?
You felt your cat coming to join you, jumping on the bed silently. Tiny paws made their way over to you, looking for a comfortable place to curl up on. She decided your chest was as good a spot as any, and she flopped down, encouraged by your coos and pats, purring softly in response.

Not daring to go to the Café this morning, you opted for buying some scones to go and made yourself comfortable on a bench at the nearby park.
Looking around, you enjoyed the slight breeze, feeling the itch to capture this moment. Before you could even think about getting out your spare sketchbook though something jumped at you, licking at your face eagerly.
Laughing, your hands buried in soft dark fur, you didn’t mind, didn’t even try to fight him off.
“Good morning” that voice again, so soft and velvety.
Looking up you smiled, still shy. “Good morning” you responded, barely above a whisper.
“I meant to tell you yesterday, but you ran off so fast…” he trailed off, laughing a little. His laugh was infectious and it made you want to lift a hand to his cheek in fascination, touch his lips to see how they felt.
“I found your sketchbook” he shifted, unsure of what to do. “I… saw it in the Café the other day, sprawled on the floor and I.. I went to pick it up. You were already gone and I took it so I could give it back to you…”
Your eyes widened, as did your smile. “Really? You are a lifesaver!” You could have jumped up and kissed him right then and there. Until you realized that if he took a look through that sketchbook, he’d think you are a crazy stalker. Oh oh… Your heart dropped, sweat breaking out everywhere.
A smile spread across his face at your words, while his hands fumbled your sketchbook out of his bag.
When you reached for it, your hand grazed his and it was like you were struck by lightning. You felt weak, stars exploding behind your eyes. You wobbled, flopping back down on the bench. It barely registered that his dog started barking, jumping in circles happily. You didn’t notice how mystery boy leaned forward, his arm supporting him so he could keep upright.
Both of you blinked a couple of more times, and the first thing you saw when your eyes could focus again were eyes of pure gold. You didn’t know the name of that color yet, all you knew was that it was beautiful. Mesmerizing. Fitting the person in front of you perfectly. You stared in wonder, your hand lifting to touch his cheek on its own accord.
