“Some of them want to use you…” Sweet Dreams with Akashi???

Side note: I listened to the Marilyn Manson version of this because I felt like it fit more with Akashi’s personality in this. I hope you like it!

Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics (Covered by Marilyn Manson) – Akashi

Doubt and fear, two feelings Akashi is not accustomed to,
creep up from the pit of his stomach like monsters. He feels the pressure, the
constant beating against the door in his mind that holds back a beast he
instinctively knows is dangerous to release. But as Murasakibara continues to dominate
him, the draw to unbolt that door and fling it open becomes overwhelming. The
voice behind it tries for sweetness and ease, coaxing him to bend to its will
all while promising complete absolution of success for himself if he does.

Sweet dreams are made
of this

Who am I to disagree?

I travel the world

And the seven seas,

Everybody’s looking
for something.

“I told you I would crush you,” Mura says lowly, passing
Akashi again and sinking another basket. He’s inching closer to victory and
Akashi, already having lost so much and seeing more loss looming in the future,
unlocks the chamber of his inner demon.

Some of them want to
use you

Some of them want to
get used by you

Some of them want to
abuse you

Some of them want to
be abused

Everyone gasps at the ease with which he puts down Murasakibara. In doing so, he cements
his position as captain and leader of this team once again. Akashi meets their
eyes, his own a reflection of the change within himself to something darker,
more sinister.

Hold your head up

Keep your head up,
movin’ on

Hold your head up,
movin’ on

Keep your head up,
movin’ on

“Atsushi,” he says drawing the purple-haired giant’s
attention, “I don’t care if you no longer come to practice as long as you meet
your shot quota. Fail me and there will be consequences.”

Murasakibara nods, bewildered at this change in the demeanor
of his captain.

Akashi looks over the team, a smirk twitching the edges of
his lip. There’s no way they’ll leave him behind now. And any who want to
leave? Well, they’re welcome to sign the deed on the guarantee of their own
failures. Because his will…is absolute.

Some of them want to
use you

Some of them want to
get used by you

Some of them want to
abuse you

Some of them want to
be abused

Hi! Are you still doing the song fic scenarios? If so, could I get Cant Help Falling In Love With You with Kuroko pls? Tysm (o^^o)

Forgive me if this is sadder than you wanted but it’s what
popped in my head. When I was growing up, this song always made me feel sadness
so I went to an un-reciprocated love story. I hope you like it despite the melancholy.
Also, so glad you asked for Kuroko, he doesn’t get nearly enough love!

Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley – Kuroko

Kuroko has always been, for the most part, a levelheaded
person. He thinks things through, plans ahead, and doesn’t take unnecessary
risks. But that all flies out the window the moment he meets you.

Wise men say only
fools rush in

But I can’t help
falling in love with you

He’s completely enamored with you, his heart racing any time
you’re near. But there’s one small problem; you belong to someone else. To
someone he admires and cares for like family but the burn in his heart just
won’t quit. He knows it’s wrong to want you for his own, to fantasize about you
leaving who you’re with for Kuroko; but he can’t stop the thoughts, the want,
the need.

Shall I stay?

Would it be a sin

If I can’t help
falling in love with you?

Kuroko knows, whatever you ask him for, he’ll do. He has no
doubt he’d love you better than the one you’re with now but he isn’t about to
tell you. He hides it, a secret buried in the shadows of the shadow. And that’s
all he is to you; the shadow, the follower, the friend. All the things he
wishes he wasn’t and never the one thing he wants to be.

Like a river flows
surely to the sea

Darling so it goes

Some things are meant
to be

Because as much as he wants you, he’d rather die lonely than
hurt two people he cares so much for. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t cling to
the tiniest bit of hope that maybe one day you’ll look up and instead of
seeking the sun, you’ll want the shade.

Take my hand, take my
whole life too

For I can’t help
falling in love with you

Thank you for your work! I love it! Can I ask, for the song fic request, Right here- ashes remain for aomine please? Do you need a scenario or just the song?

Thank you for you input to help me get this formed, I really
hope you enjoy it!

“Daiki, are you ok?” you ask looking at the ace with concern
in your eyes as he walks in the door. You know all his expressions, even the
ones he thinks he hides well and you can see something significant happened
tonight. He chucks down his bag, walking past you without replying to his room,
shutting the door. You debate going to him, knowing when he’s like this it’s
usually best to just leave him be but you decided recently that this can’t go
on forever. You can’t keep allowing him to shut you out.

I can see every tear
you’ve cried

like an ocean in your
eyes

All the pain and the
scars have left you cold

Swallowing your nerves, you set the book you were reading
down on the couch and proceed to his room, knocking softly at the door. A
muffled grunt is all the reply you receive but you take it as permission to
enter and do so. He’s lying on his back in the darkness and you can’t tell from
this distance if his eyes are closed or if he’s staring at the ceiling. Either
way, he’s yet to acknowledge your presence.

“Daiki,” you begin softly, moving forward and shutting the
door, “Please, tell me what’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” he grumbles, turning on his side to face the
wall.

“Is it something with the team?” you ask ignoring his lie.

As he rolls over again to face you, your adjusted vision
catches a wince of pain shooting across his face. If you weren’t staring right
at him you would have missed it, it was so fleeting. But it’s there and you know
it can only mean one thing.

He opens his mouth but before he can excuse away his
behavior you ask, “It’s your leg isn’t it?”

Aomine stops cold, eyes narrowing in frustration and anger. “First
Satsuki, and now you, can’t you all just back the fuck off? Because of her I’m
benched for the Interhigh and I don’t need my girlfriend ganging up on me too!
I’m fine!”

“You’re not fine, Daiki, and I’m not just talking about your
damn leg!”

I can see all the
fears you face

through a storm that
never goes away

Don’t believe all the
lies that you’ve been told

He pauses, clearly surprised by your outburst because you never raise your voice to anyone, least
of all him. Taking a deep breath, you sit down on the bed and grab his hand.
You can tell he wants to jerk it away but you grip tighter, tears flooding your
eyes as you look at him.

“Daiki, when you are going to stop pushing everyone who
cares about you away? Can’t you see Momoi-san’s just trying to protect you? Don’t
you understand how much I care about you? Why won’t you let me in?”

I’ll be right here now

to hold you when the
sky falls down

I will always

be the One who took
your place

When the rain falls

I won’t let go

I’ll be right here

Daiki remains silent, eyes staring at the floor but he doesn’t
move. The silence drags on filling the room with added heaviness and you wish
he would at least look at you but you don’t want to push him any harder than
you already have. So instead of words, you choose actions, lying down with your
back to his front and snuggling backwards until you’re flush against him. He
tenses momentarily but then you feel his long arm wrap around your waist
tugging you even closer.

From behind, you hear him say, “Stay with me tonight.” You
nod, kicking off your house shoes and drawing up the covers to encase your
bodies. Daiki’s breath caresses your neck and you close your eyes, squeezing
his hand.

I will show you the
way back home

never leave you all
alone

I will stay until the
morning comes

I’ll show you how to
live again

and heal the
brokenness within

Let me love you when
you come undone

“It’s not the end of the world, Daiki. You have so much to
look forward to, just get out of your own head now and rest. That’s the best
thing you can do. And I’ll be here for as long as you want me,” you whisper
into the dark, unsure he’s even heard you given his even breathing and the slack
of his body.

But he squeezes your hand tightly, face burying deep into
the crook of your neck and hair as in a long exhale he says, “I want you
forever.”

When daybreak seems so
far away

reach for my hand

When hope and peace
begin to fray

still I will stand

When the rain falls I
won’t let go

I’ll be right here

Oh gosh sorry i’m a mess, the song for oikawa is take this waltz, and the reader has jut gone through a very bad moment and Oikawa just wants to let them know that he loves them and that is okay to be sad, if you’re confortable with it can you do some nsfw too? Fluff please! Sorry again for bothering so much i’m a mess, i hope this is okay!

No worries dear! I will admit, I struggled a bit with this
one because I couldn’t quite get the song to mesh with my perception of your
request so instead I focused only on what you specifically asked for. That
means I don’t really have anywhere to sprinkle the lyrics but I’ve been doing
the song fics both ways (lyrics and no lyrics) so I really hope you like what I
came up with as far as the scene goes. Thanks for following and thanks for the
request!

Take this Waltz By Leonard Cohen – Oikawa

A deep sigh leaves your lips, eyes glazing over until the
words on the page before you blur into a massive blob of unreadable text. You
can’t concentrate, the words uttered to you so carelessly echoing in your head
on an endless cycle of repeated insult. You know he doesn’t mean to be like
this, but sometimes the expectations and pressure your father puts on you is
overwhelming. Couple that with the constant disappointment he seems to have for
you and you’re left in the wake of a self-deprecating cyclone that just won’t
quit.

“_____-chan, what’s wrong?” Tooru’s voice draws you out of
your haze and you force a smile up at him.

“Nothing Tooru, just,” you pause momentarily trying to think
of something safe to say, something that won’t draw out all the feelings of
inferiority and self-doubt you have to the surface. “I’m just having trouble
understanding this section,” you continue quickly pointing to the page. It’s
not exactly a lie, you haven’t read anything for the past ten minutes despite
staring at it continuously.

Tooru hums, the sound a clear indication he doesn’t believe
you. Taking your hand, he draws you out of his desk chair and seats you on his
bed. Grasping your other hand, he looks down for a moment seemingly to gather
his thoughts before his normally teasing gaze when you’re positioned on his
place of sleep is replaced with a much more serious expression. “_____-chan, I
know that’s not it,” he says slowly, thumbs tracing over your skin. “I wish you
didn’t feel like you have to keep everything buried inside, it’s ok to show
your emotions every once in a while.”

You try for teasing when you ask, “So you want me to be sad,
Tooru?”

“No,” he answers drawing out the word, hand lifting to
caress your cheek and you lean into the touch. “But I know that bottling up
everything isn’t good either. Every so often it’s good to, you know, just cry
it out.”

His gaze is steady but soft, eyes never leaving yours and
conveying all the support and love you so desperately need. The roiling turmoil
lodged deep in the pit of your stomach erupts like an overactive volcano and
you let out a large sob, giant tears streaking down your face. Tooru falls to
the bed on his back, drawing you with him to lay your head on his chest, his
strong arms wrapped securely around your now quivering body. You cry and cry
and cry, releasing all of the pent up agony that comes with being a university
student with too much pressure, demands and expectations placed upon them.

Through it all, Tooru never stops his motions; rubbing your
back, carding his fingers through your hair, kissing your forehead or your
temple but he doesn’t say anything, doesn’t try to fix it. He lets you be
flawed and in some twist of irony you don’t think you’ve ever loved him more
than right now, for just letting you be broken, letting you talk about your
fears and anxiety in a torrent of barely coherent speech, words you’ve kept
locked away so long for fear of more judgement despite knowing he’s the last
person in the world who would do so.

Your breakdown only lasts about ten minutes but the relief
you feel from the expulsion of so much toxicity makes you feel lighter. Tooru
still doesn’t say anything as your sobs turn to sniffles and your breathing
from gasps to slight puffs of air. His shirt is soaked with tears and snot but
he doesn’t care, he knows you needed this more than anything he could give you.
It broke his heart to hear you so despondent but he knows, he knows so well how
much better you will feel now that all of that has gotten out.

You rise, eager to get the remnants of your outpouring off
of your face. Tooru watches you from the bed, leaning up to take off his shirt
and chuck it in the hamper. When you turn back around, face cleaner but still
blotched red from the sting of your salty tears, he rises quickly and goes to
you, drawing you back into his arms in a fierce embrace.

“Tooru, wha-,” you begin only to be cut off by insistent
lips on your own. Your low, sweet moan pulls a different feeling from Tooru’s
chest and he grips you tighter, kisses you harder until a slight whimper makes
him pull away to look at you again.

Your eyes are half hooded as are his, his thumb tracing the
bottom of your kiss abused lips. “Now that you’ve fallen apart,” he says, voice
low and thick as he draws you even closer to whisper against your ear, “Let me
help mend you.” A delicate kiss to the underside of your jaw has you melting
and him smirking; he knows all the buttons to push to drive you to your knees
if he wanted. But he’s feeling magnanimous and eager to please so instead he
gathers you in his arms to take back to his bed, pausing only to open his door
and shove out the “do not disturb” sign he and his roommate agreed to keep for occasions
such as these.

The flat of your back hits the mattress with a soft thud but
you’re momentarily pulled up right for Tooru to shed you of your shirt. “Tooru,
I’m such a mess,” you protest but he silences you with a nip to your neck.

“And I’m going to make you an even bigger one,” he purrs licking
the shell of your ear. Hands find their way to the waist band of your jeans,
his mouth sucking roughly on the side of your throat as he undoes their button.
He draws back, releasing your skin with an audible pop that brings a flush of
red to your cheeks brighter than the mark left on your neck. “Always so bashful,” he coos
teasingly, lips trailing over the sensitive flesh of your abdomen. He can smell
you through your panties, the knowledge of your arousal to his dominance making
his mouth water.

“God ____-chan, you have no idea what you do to me,” he
moans, kissing your inner thighs with reverence. You’ve no time to consider his
words before he’s tugging the last barrier to your sex away from your body. No
matter how many times you do this with him, you feel the instinct to cover
yourself but he’s having none of that today. Strong hands grip your wrists,
holding your arms flush against your sides as he delves into the sweet nectar
of your center.

“Tooru,” you hiss. Turning your head against his pillow brings your
nose nearer the fabric which smells of him in the best way, adding to the
feeling of him devouring you whole. His tongue is prodding deeper, pushing to
go as far into you as he can. A gentle hum from his mouth sends shockwaves
directly to your spine making your toes curl into the sheets. You’d no idea you
were this worked up, but apparently it’s been longer than you remember since
the two of you have been intimate.

Then again, Tooru can make you come in seconds when he
really wants to.

“Ah! Tooru, wait! You know if you make me come I can’t-“

“I don’t care about that,” he says roughly. “This is all
about you right now so the only sounds I wanna hear coming from those pretty
lips are moans and gasps while I wreck you.”

“I thought you were putting me back together?” you ask through a groan.

“Change of plans and judging by how soaked you are, I can’t say that you mind, now enough talking,” he growls before diving back in.

Further speech on both your parts is stalled, him because his
mouth is occupied with pleasuring you and you’re too busy adhering to his request. You can’t
stop the noises you’re making even if you wanted to. Tooru releases your wrists
in favor of sliding his hands under your ass to lift and draw you even closer,
the resulting deeper penetration prompting you to card your fingers through his
hair for which he moans in approval.

“…Tooru…”you pant, hips writhing as pressure builds deep
in your stomach. He sucks hard at your clit making you jerk, his fingers
tightening their hold. It doesn’t take much longer for your orgasm to bloom,
sprouting out from the apex of your thighs through all your veins sending a
keening cry of “Oh god!” through your lips. Tooru keeps up the pressure,
drawing it out as long as he can until your thighs are shaking and you’re
pushing against his head in silent request to stop.

He draws back, heaving deep breaths. When you meet his eyes,
you find them blown wide with lust, a satisfied smile on his face as he wipes
his lips. He moves away to the bathroom to wash up quickly, downing a glass of
water to rehydrate himself. By the time he returns, you’re already half asleep.

Tooru chuckles, grabbing a spare blanket before shucking his
pants to curl up next to you, flesh to flesh. You snuggle into the warmth of
his embrace, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat lulling you further into
slumber. “I love you,” he whispers against the crown of your head. You’re
pretty sure you respond but if not, you’ll just make it up to him later.

Hey I think I’m still in time for a song fic request?^^’ Could I please get the song “first day of my life” by Bright eyes for Kuroo. I don’t mind what the story is but I had a scenario incase you were stuck. Maybe a foreign exchange student comes to Nekoma High and they slowly and shyly fall for eachother? Like they have to cope with the language barrier and she’s shy but they feel comfortable around eachother and he realised he doesn’t want her to leave? Thank you so much, have a good night:)

Thank you for the request! I’m sorry this isn’t exactly as you
requested but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

“First Day of my Life” by Bright Eyes – Kuroo

Kuroo doesn’t know why today feels different but there’s a
buzzing in his head that just won’t go away. It’s like all the world is tense
and waiting, waiting for something to happen. He rubs his eyes, ready to
believe he just didn’t sleep well last night. Flopping into his seat, he takes
out his notebook filled with volleyball formations to give a quick review
before class starts.

Your musical laughter sounds from the front of the room and
he looks up. His breath catches in the hollow of his throat. It’s like he’s
seeing you for the first time.

Yours was the first
face that I saw

I think I was blind
before I met you

The room and people around him fade away leaving only your
beauty caught in his gaze. How can it have taken him this long to notice how mesmerizing you are? And what changed? Did
you cut your hair, dye it? You wear the same uniform as all the other girls in
school but somehow, today, it hugs you just right, showing off your feminine
figure more acutely than ever before. His mouth goes from dry to wet, a quick
gulp of his throat taking down the extra saliva that has suddenly pooled there.
Is he seriously almost drooling over
you?

He notices too late that you’ve caught him staring and he
can only imagine the look that’s on his face when he sees your reaction to it.

Kuroo stands up, moving swiftly to your position by the
door. Without a word, he grabs your hand and tugs and you follow him without a
second thought. He’s your friend, you trust him and clearly something is wrong
if his expression is anything to go by. Soon enough you’re in a semi-secluded
spot near the lockers, away from the eyes of hall monitors, at least for now.

Kuroo turns around, towering over you as he looks down into
your eyes. You can’t read his expression, are unsure of what is happening or
where this is going but you stay silent waiting for his words.

I don’t know where I
am, I don’t know where I’ve been

But I know where I
want to go

A wave of nerves shakes Kuroo to his core; he finally
realizes what’s happened. It’s like he’s waking up from a haze. It isn’t that
his life has been bad before, but he knows, he just knows, that having you in it in a more permanent capacity will make
it so much better. So he swallows his fear, takes your hands in his and opens
his mouth.

“I don’t know why I never saw it properly before, _____-chan,
but…you’re amazing.” His words send your pulse into overdrive, the threat of
fainting real when he squeezes your hands and continues, “I know this is out of
the blue and I could have probably chosen a better time and place to do it, but…this
couldn’t wait.”

And so I’d thought I’d
let you know

That these things take
forever, I especially am slow

But I realized that I
need you

And I wondered if I
could come home

“Kuroo-san,” you whisper but he shakes his head and you fall
silent.

“______-chan, I…I really, really like you,” he confesses,
hands sweating as the words roll off his tongue. “Would you…would you consider
going out with me?”

Your eyes open wider in surprise but a second later you’re
smiling. Giving his hands a squeeze you nod your head slowly. Kuroo grins,
swooping down to gather you in a large hug around your waist. You let loose a
giggle as your arms wrap around his neck.

The impulsivity of his confession and your acceptance will
no doubt create waves in both your lives, especially since you’re a foreign
exchange student set to return to your home country at the end of the year. But
as you look in Kuroo’s eyes you know this is right and somehow, despite time
and distance in the future, you’ll make it work.

This is the first day
of my life

I’m glad I didn’t die
before I met you

But now I don’t care,
I could go anywhere with you

And I’d probably be
happy

omg i’m so happy you get 1000+ followers, that means you could give us the best of you, and I believe it! I always happy whenever you pop up on my dash.. Hope you get more followers and happiness around here 😍 for the songfic I’d like to request Scared to be lonely by Martin garrix ft. Dua lipa, the char is Aomine.. The situation is whatever you have for me, I trust it’ll be entertaining.. Thanks

Thank you so much for your sweet words and for always being such a kind person to me! Apologies for the delay and that this is so short but
I hope you like it.

Scared to be Lonely – Aomine

The slam of the door adds to the pain of your headache
making you wince. Lately, you wonder why you’re still with Aomine. It seems
like all the two of you ever do these days is fight. And over the stupidest
shit too. Every time he leaves in anger you wonder if it’s the last time you’ll
see him confused when that thought brings a feeling of relief instead of pain.
No doubt that’s a sure-fire sign one of you really should end this for good.
How can you stay with someone if you’re relieved at the prospect of him
leaving?

It’s late and you’re in bed drifting in and out of sleep
when you hear the front door open and close, more quietly this time thankfully.
A deep sigh leaves your lips; he came back then.

Aomine makes his way through the darkened apartment, sitting
on the couch and placing his head in his hands. Why does he keep coming back
here? What about you keeps drawing him back when most of the time you drive him
crazy? He knows he’s not the easiest person to get along with but in recent
memory you haven’t been the most amicable either.

And yet, here is he, back in your apartment, wanting nothing
more than to crawl into bed and put his arms around you.

The creak of the bedroom door announces Aomine’s presence
but you don’t turn around, pretending to be asleep because you just can’t
handle fighting any more. You’re surprised when he carefully climbs under the
covers. As his firm body slides right up next to yours, you can’t stop your
backwards motion to curl into his warmth.

You tell yourself this is the last time, the last night
you’re going to allow him to come back and hold you but you know you’re just
lying to yourself. Because even if there is someone better for you out there,
better out there for him, somehow you know you’ll keep coming back to each
other because at least this is familiar.

It’s the prospect of being alone that is scarier than the
reality that the love between you has deconstructed into nothing more than a
need to be physically close.

Ushijima songfic with Back to December by Taylor Swift, thank you

Back to December by Taylor Swift – Ushijima

Looking out the window, you release a heavy sigh. The shift
of your legs makes you wince as cheap vinyl pulls against exposed skin. You
cross your legs left over right, then right over left unable to find a
comfortable position but you know it has little to do with the bench and
everything to do with the reason you’re here.

Minutes tick by slowly, each shift of the clock hand feeding
into your anxiety. Will he even show up?

Each tinkle of the bell above the diner door draws your
attention to it. If you continue moving your head so fast you’re liable to get
whiplash, but every time you’re met with disappointment when the one you’re
waiting for doesn’t appear.

Five then ten minutes past your designated meeting time
passes and you’re shifting around again.

“Anything I can get you while you’re waiting?” asks the
waitress, pen poised to her pad.

“No thank you, not really hungry,” you answer, apology
implied in your tone.

She shrugs her shoulders, moving on to tend on customers
with aspirations of grease and sugar consumption.

Glancing at the clock you find he’s almost twenty minutes
late but you’re not mad. You’re not even surprised to be honest. Why would he
even want-

Your thoughts are cut off as a presence takes residence
across your table capturing your attention immediately. A startled hitch in
your breath is the first thing which greets the man now seated opposite of you.

“Go-good evening, Ushijima-san.” The use of his last name
casts a bitter taste in your mouth but you dare not use his first; you lost
that privilege a long time ago. His face, if possible, is more impassive that
ever but you can’t blame him. Silence reigns supreme, the two of you just
looking at each other. It’s broken by the arrival of your long-suffering
waitress asking if she can get anything for him. He asks for water and she
moves away to gather the requested beverage.

“So, how are things? How’s your family?” you ask forcing
geniality into your tone.

He shrugs, nodding thanks to the waitress when she drops off
the water. He sips it, eyes never leaving your face and the severity of his
scrutiny makes you twitch.

“I heard about the battle for nationals,” you can’t help
saying. “Sorry,” you add quickly, unclear if you’re apologizing for their loss
or bringing it up at all. Ushijima doesn’t bother with a response. “So, have
you thought about college?”

“_______-san, why are you here?”

Ushijima’s voice is just as you remember it; steady, calm,
seemingly indifferent but you can see a torrent of well withheld emotion
stirring up in his eyes. Seems even he’s incapable of remaining as stoic as a
mountain all the time.

You swallow once, wishing you’d had the foresight to ask for
water as well because suddenly your mouth feels like it’s full of sand.
Ushijima, being the gentleman he is, proffers his glass which you take thankfully.
After gulping a draft of the cool liquid, you clear your throat.

“I…I guess I should just come right out with it.” Your eyes
meet his. “Ushijima…Wakatoshi, I…I miss you. I miss you so much and I realize
what a stupid mistake I made letting you go and I’m so sorry for hurting you
like that. I wanted to see…I mean…is there any way you can forgive me?”

Ushijima’s jaw clenches in discomfort at your words. He
sighs, closing his eyes. When he opens them again, you can see it clearly; this
is very much too little too late.

“I have forgiven you, _______-san,” he confirms, “But if
you’re seeking reconciliation, that isn’t going to happen. I may have forgiven
you, but I can never forget what you did.”

His words pierce your heart like a knife but you know it’s
so much less than what you deserve. You broke his heart; his precious,
carefully guarded heart that he opens to so few and you’d gone and stomped on
it. All because of stupid, petty jealousy and fear.

Standing, you offer a slight bow, tears trailing down your
cheeks despite your best effort to hold them back. “I appreciate you meeting
with me at all and I understand your decision. Just know that…I do love you and
if you ever change your mind-“

“I won’t so don’t do something stupid like say you’ll wait
for me. I wish you all the best, ______-san,” he interjects gruffly.

More pain hits and it’s suddenly harder to breathe but
somehow you manage to inhale then exhale. Getting your legs to work takes a
moment longer but soon enough your back in the heat of the summer, but your mind
is months in the past remembering that fateful December day where you’d let the
worst of yourself throw away the best thing to have ever happened to you.

And you only have yourself to blame.

[Songfic Event] Heard it Through the Grapevine (Candice Glover version) feat. COP!AOMINE x FEM!SO. Mild angst due to some misunderstanding; fluffy ending please. Up to your discretion whether to include an NSFW component somewhere. Thanks & congratulations!

Thank you for the congratulations and the request! Officer
Aomine is a popular one! I don’t think I followed the letter of the song
entirely because the rumor part is so small but I feel good about what I came
up with and think it is within the spirit of the song. If it’s so off the mark
you want me to try again, please let me know, but I hope you enjoy this!

Heard It Through The Grapevine – cover by Candice Glover – Aomine

“Who was that woman I saw with Aomine?”

“The one with the pink hair? I have no idea! Maybe an old
girlfriend?”

“Or a new one if the rumors about him are true. Really, I
thought he’d turned over a new leaf since marrying his wife but I guess people
never really change.”

“It’s just a shame because she’s so sweet…”

The voices of the two women fade to white noise as you hold
a shaking coffee cup in your hand. Thanks to the high backs of the booth in the
diner, they’d no idea you were able to hear their conversation. Not that you
were one to listen in on other people, but being alone you had nothing to
distract you and hearing your husband’s name of course caught your attention.
Now, you weren’t sure if you were glad to hear this or not. The phrase “ignorance
is bliss” wasn’t coined for no good reason.

They rise and walk out, still not noticing that one of the
subjects of their gossip is sitting with tears rolling down her face as they
continue their mindless chatter.

You sit there for a long time, staring into space as you go
over the last couple months in your mind. Daiki has been busy, picking up
extra shifts (or so he says) because he wants to make sergeant and with the
heavy competition within the department he needs to put in all the work he can.

But now you’re second guessing him, wondering if perhaps he’s
been lying to you this whole time. When you started dating Aomine after
college, some catty girls who never got past high school warned you that he
wouldn’t be faithful, that his sex drive was too high for one woman to satisfy.
Granted, you knew Aomine was a considerable horn dog, but it was just in his
nature being an alpha male. One year into the academy, he was working his ass
off to earn his stripes. When they’d tried to tell you more, you’d stopped
them. Regardless of how he was in the past, Aomine for the most part treated
you with respect and really cared about you.

So you continued dating for two years and at his graduation
from the academy he proposed.

That was five years ago and you’d never been happier; until
now.

You shake your head, standing up and tossing a tip on the
table as you make your way outside. It’s raining, but you can be bothered with
your umbrella. In times of reflection, you’ve found it soothing to walk beneath
the patter of water, symbolically cleansing your mind so you can think more
clearly. But the pounding of the drops and the claps of thunder only add to the
turmoil burning in your soul. It increases tenfold when you reach the substation
only to see your husband with his arms wrapped around a woman with pink hair
who, when she turns, you can see is pregnant.

A startled cry escapes your lips, but is drowned in the
sound of the downpour. You whole body is shaking, not from cold but from anger
and sadness; how could he be so blatant about his betrayal, standing in front
of the very place where all your friends reside because everyone knows a cop’s
life, and that of his wife, is so centered around their job there is no getting
away from it.

In a blind fury, you race away into the night, stumbling on
the slick ground where you cut up your knees pretty badly but you don’t feel
it, not with the rush of adrenaline coursing through your veins. You don’t know
how long you run, but it feels like forever. By the time you stop, you’re
somewhere you don’t recognize and realize with horror that when you fell you’d
dropped your purse which held your cell phone.

Crouching under a stairwell, body trembling from the cold, you
settle your head against your knees and cry until your eyes hold no more
tears. Time passes by slowly and you know you should get up and go home but you
simply don’t have the energy to try, don’t have the guts to face Daiki and what
he’s done. Was that why they were at the station? To show off what you struggled
to give him? Doesn’t he understand how much you love him? How much you were
willing to give up for him?

Drifting in and out of sleepy consciousness, your head
settles against the bricks behind you. Eventually, you fall prey to the lull of
sleep, body soaked to the bone and just not caring what happens to you anymore.

Warmth surrounds you and you wonder if you’ve left the
earthly plane for another. As you rouse, trying to open your eyes, you hear a
voice calling your name. It’s gravelly, laced with what seems to be pain and
worry but it can’t be who you think it is because he never shows those
emotions, never allows himself to appear weak in front of anyone, including
you.

But when you open your eyes, it’s to find Daiki leaning over
you, his hand holding one of yours while his other strokes the top of your
head. When you reach a full state of consciousness, you see his brow furrow and
there’s your Daiki.

“________, what the hell were you thinking? Do you know how
worried I was?”

“Officer Aomine, please-“begins the doctor but there’s no
stopping your husband once he gets going.

“I thought you were dead! And you could have been, you know,
with where they found you! Thank god Izuki has that damn eagle like vision
otherwise there’s no telling how long it could have been before you were found!”

Struggling to find your voice, you finally croak out, “What
do you care? You’ve got someone else now anyway.”

His body goes completely still, face the picture of shocked incredulity.
“What did you just say?” he says darkly.

You cough, taking a sip of water to coat your dry throat
before asking, “Why…why didn’t you tell me, you were so unhappy? Why did you have
to betray me like that?”

Aomine’s anger melts away to full blown confusion. He takes
your hand, squeezing it so you can’t let go and bores his gaze into your eyes. “I
have no fucking idea what you’re talking about, so either you’re delirious from
your fever or someone has been filling your head with absolute bullshit!”

“I saw you with her, Daiki!” you shout suddenly and the
whole room stills in the wake of your revelation.

Aomine wracks his brain, trying desperately to make sense of
what you’re saying. Then, as comprehension dawns, he starts to chuckle. Then he’s
doubled over in laughter, eyes watering. Your hands clench in tight fists and you
wish you had the strength to slug him a good one.

He works to compose himself quickly, wiping his eyes before
looking back into yours. Cupping your face with his large hands, the feel of
him hot against your skin, he says, “The “her” you’re referring to is one of my
oldest friends, Satsuki Kuroko.”

“Your…friend?” you ask weakly.

He nods, kissing your forehead and murmuring against your
skin, “Yes, my precious idiot. She and I grew up together, went to high school
together. We parted ways in college and she ended up going to the same school
as my best friend, Tetsu. They got married about a year ago and are having a
kid.”

“Well, if that’s true, where was he?” you counter.

“She’s here on business, decided to drop by and surprise me
because she always knows everything about everyone.”

“Why wasn’t she at our wedding if she’s such a good friend?”

“When I told her the date of it, she let me know she couldn’t
make it,” he supplies.

“Daiki, why didn’t you ever tell me about her?”

He shrugs. “I don’t talk about my past because I’m not that
proud of it. We moved on and grew up and have our own lives. But that doesn’t
mean we forgot about each other.” He kisses your lips, seeming to breathe life
back into your soul. “I wasn’t hiding her, she’s just…more of memory now.”

A choked sob pulls from your chest as you fling your arms
around Daiki’s neck. “I’m sorry! I’m so, so sorry that I didn’t trust you! That
I worried you over nothing, that I-“

He kisses you again, more hotly, more passionately and you
can’t stop a moan from coming up in your throat. As he pulls away, he nips your
bottom lip. “I’ll forgive you…after giving you a proper punishment when you’re
all better.”

Suddenly, you feel quite warm again, but know it has nothing
to do with your fever.

Somewhere Only We Know by Keane – Kuroo

The first time Kuroo saw you, he was distracted. He was running
late for practice and had to sprint across the campus in order to get the gym
even remotely on time. Just as he exited from the overhang of one of the
classrooms, a startled, “Look out!” drew his attention. With his quick
reflexes, he was able to dodge whatever it was that landed in the place he was
formerly standing. Looking up, he caught sight of your blushing face, a
confused scowl on his own.

“What’s the big idea tossing things from there!” he shouted up and
you blushed further.

“So…sorry, senpai,” you stammered out, heart hammering in your
chest.

From beside you a fellow underclassman explained you were
conducting the “egg drop” test for your science class. Reaching down, Kuroo
found the object for which all this trouble, and his now being late to
practice, had caused. It was an orange wrapped snuggly with a rubber band.

Looking back up at you, he smirked. “Looks like you’ll get a passing
grade,” he supplied then took off again as he tossed it back up to your
position. You fumbled a bit but caught it, eyes chasing after his tall form as
he ran.

As he left, Kuroo gave you one last consideration: you were cute.
How had he not seen you before now? But the answer supplied itself as he
entered the gym; once focused on volleyball everything and everyone else faded
into the background.

I walked
across an empty land

I knew the
pathway like the back of my hand

I felt the
earth beneath my feet

Sat by the
river, and it made me complete

The second time you ran into each other, he was on his way home on
the train, eyes fixated on his failed test. Overall, his grades were decent but
falling behind was not an option; his mother had already warned one more failed
class and she’d pull him from the team. Grumbling, he didn’t notice you take a
seat until the train lurched and you crashed into him, body unprepared for the
shift of the car.

“I’m sorry,” you cried out hastening to move away from him.

His eyes landed on you, widening a bit when he realized you looked
familiar. Suddenly it came to him. “You’re the orange drop girl, aren’t you?”
he asked.

Blinking at him, you managed a small shy smile, nodding slightly.

Looking down, you saw that his paper had fallen to the ground
during your impact and trying to be kind, you picked it up. Your eyes couldn’t
stop from reading the page, a crimson flushing across your cheeks as you
realized he probably didn’t want anyone, let alone a stranger from his school,
seeing it. But you also couldn’t help noticing he was struggling in a subject
you were quite astute in.

Before you thought better of it, your lips were moving. “If you
need help in this subject, I could tutor you.” A deep flush overtook your face
but you forced yourself to meet Kuroo’s eyes.

His face spoke of incredulity and he was seconds away from turning
you down. Honestly, the last thing he wanted to admit was that he needed help
but he was running out of time and focusing on school was getting harder the
closer and closer they crept towards Nationals.

Extending his hand, he replied, “Ok, orange-drop girl, show me
what’cha got?”

You shook hands, offering, “It’s l/n, f/n, in case you were
wondering, Kuroo-senpai.”

He chuckled. “Sure, _______-san.”

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

His first study session with you proved a challenge because he
couldn’t focus. His phone was constantly going off with questions from the team
not to mention other groups he was involved in projects for. Normally a focused
person, Kuroo found it very difficult to give his full attention to the subject
matter mostly because his lack of understanding it frustrated him. He was
tense, eye brows furrowed but no matter how hard he tried, everything you were
saying didn’t make sense.

“You know, I think this is just a waste of time,” he muttered.
When he saw your face flush he hastily added, “Your time, not mine. I just
don’t get this crap.”

You were silent for a moment, weighing how you could help him. You
weren’t even fully sure why you’d offered on the train, it just sort of fell
out. But you could stubborn and knew if you could just get him to focus he
would do fine. Nodding your head once, you stood up. Kuroo didn’t bother to
look up, partially ashamed of giving up so quickly so he started a bit when
your hand grasped his firmly and tugged.

“Come on,” you nodded your head in the direction of the bedroom
door before grabbing your bag and heading out.

Curious, Kuroo began to follow but you threw back over your
shoulder, “Bring your study material.”

He huffed in vexation but figured if he drug you out here on a
Saturday the least he could do is follow your instructions. Grabbing his
backpack, he stuffed the books and papers in haphazardly and pursued you.

You made your way to a little known park hidden behind an
abandoned apartment complex. “So what is this?” he asked as you rounded the
building.

“It’s where I used to live when I was a kid but the building’s foundation
was set in soft soil so it was condemned.”

“Oh, I’m sorry,” he said awkwardly.

“Don’t be, it’s not like I’m broken up about it,” you offered
kindly. “But the one thing I did miss as I was growing up was this park.”

“Yeah, it’s really nice,” he observed, “Especially for not being
kept up.”

“It’s kind of wild now, that’s why I like it,” you confessed.

“So you like things wild, huh?” he teased. By now you were used to
his antics and so just rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t stop a heated flush
from creeping up your throat.

Nearing a giant tree the center of the park, you pointed up.
“That,” you said looking over your shoulder at him, “is my sanctuary. I’ve
never shown this to anyone since coming back so I’d appreciate it if you kept
it to yourself.”

Kuroo’s eyes grew wide at the sight of the monstrous tree, a
seemingly well-built treehouse secured among it’s strong branches. As you
reached the trunk, he looked about. “How the hell do you get up there?” he
asked bewildered. “Don’t tell me you climb it!”

“Scared of heights, Kuroo-kun?” you teased.

“No, but I do have a healthy respect for gravity and this trunk
looks a little steep,” he retorted.

“Oh ye of little faith,” you smirked.

Kuroo could definitely say he’d rubbed off on you. You were much
less prone to behaving shyly around him and for some reason it made him happy.
He watched as you reached into what looked like a solid branch only to find you
could put your hand into it, a rope the reward of its hidden compartment. A
firm tug resulted in a wooden ladder descending from the branches above. With
steady hands and feet, you shimmied up the swaying apparatus with ease. He
swallowed thickly, nerves almost getting the better of him but he couldn’t back
down now!

Much slower than you, he climbed rung after rung until he reached
the top. As he settled against the ground of the treehouse you pulled back
curtains to reveal a grand view of the park.

“This is where I come to relax mostly but every so often I use it
as a haven where I can fully focus on the tasks I have. Cell reception is
pretty much nill so I kind of give into the fantasy that I’m
somewhere…magical.” Your cheeks erupted in vibrant red at your confession and
Kuroo’s slight chuckle.

“Well, it certainly is interesting, I’ll give you that,” he
commented. Looking back at your face, he smiled sincerely and you felt your
heart leap into your throat. “Either way, thanks for sharing this with me. You
didn’t have to do this.”

“I know,” you whispered pulling a blanket from your bag that you
always carried, “but you need help and I…I want to help you.”

As you settled down, he joined you, unpacking his books, notepad
and pens. Taking a deep breath, he said, “Well, let’s not make it a wasted
trip, eh?”

You smiled widely and nodded, pointing out where you’d left off
and proceeded to continue with the tutoring.

I came
across a fallen tree

I felt the
branches of it looking at me

Is this
the place we used to love?

Is this
the place that I’ve been dreaming of?

Each session after the first improved, Kuroo feeling he was
finally getting a grasp of the material. You didn’t always need to go to the “secret
forest” as Kuroo called it but whenever he felt especially pent up, he’d ask
to go there. Occasionally you couldn’t join him but gave him directions so he
could find his way there on his own. “Just don’t take any girlfriends there,”
you teased, “it’s a sacred place.”

He’d laughed. “Tch, like I have time for a girlfriend.”

He didn’t notice the look of sadness in your eyes.

Eventually, it was time for Kuroo’s make up exam and he nailed it
with a B+. He was so happy he ran to find you in the quad, throwing his arms
around your waist and spinning you around thanking you for your help. But as he
set you down, the realization that his success meant the end of his need for
tutoring with you caused an unexpected bolt of disappointment to hit him. He
liked spending time with you…a lot. You weren’t just a tutor, you’d become a
friend to him and if he were honest, something much more than that. With a
nervous flutter in his heart he said, “Come out and celebrate with me.” You
accepted, a dusting of pink on your cheeks giving him hope that maybe his new-found
affections weren’t one sided.

The first date, unofficially as it may have been, went well. You
were already used to each other, had already spent so much time getting to know
one another that it felt natural to be out just the two of you. For all intents
and purposes, the time should have felt like any other when you were together
but somehow both of you knew this was a big deal, that something was shifting
in the tone of your relationship. It was an interesting position for you both,
the idea of something more both enticing and frightening because if it didn’t
work you ran the risk of ruining a good thing.

However, when Kuroo took you home that evening, he felt a tremor
of nerves hit him as he looked in your eyes and neither of you could deny any
more that you felt more for each other than friendly affection. Taking a leap
of faith, Kuroo asked with all the confidence he could muster, “______-san,
would you…would you like to go out with me again some time?”

You nodded enthusiastically making him chuckle. Kuroo found he
really wanted to kiss you goodnight but refrained, both from timing and his
heart pounding so hard in his chest he was sure you could hear it. So he
settled for squeezing your hand, backing away with a genial wave before turning
around and walking in the direction of home.

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

That date turned into another, which turned into another until
Kuroo was counting down the days until he could see you outside the confines of
school. But the times were getting spread out more and more the larger his
responsibility to the team grew. It came to a head one week, when he was so
busy he’d barely had time to talk to you let along go out. As much as he wanted
to go to Nationals, he found himself longing for just one day off to rest, one
day to catch his breath, one day to spend with you completely alone. He knew,
however, that was a pipedream for the time being.

Hiding his trepidation as much as he could, he took your hand
after school one day and said, “______-chan,” the use of your first name
startling you, “I…I know I haven’t had much time to spend with you, so asking
this now may seem odd. But, would you…would you be my girlfriend? Even if we
can’t be together all the time, I’d like to know that wherever you are…you’re
mine.”

He could see the shock in your eyes at his confession but the next
moment you’d flung your arms around his neck in a fierce embrace and gleefully
accepted his confession. Kuroo had never felt so lighthearted in his life.
This…this is what he was missing, someone to call his own.

And if you
have a minute, why don’t we go

Talk about
it somewhere only we know?

This could
be the end of everything

So why
don’t we go

Somewhere
only we know?

It should have come as no surprise to him that you would prove to
be a near perfect girlfriend. You never complained about his schedule,
explaining that you too were constantly busy and had been feeling bad about not
being able to commit more time to him as well. When you were able, you came to
see him at practice, catching snippets of his time during water breaks to chat
hurriedly about each other’s days. The team, of course, teased their captain
about his new lady friend, but he didn’t care; you were his and that’s all that
matter to him. As often as possible, you came to his games, cheering loudly for
him and the rest of the cats to do their best.

One night during dinner, Kuroo’s mom asked how you were and he
smiled brightly, telling about your success in one of the essay writing
contents you’d entered and the fact that you’d brought him a homemade bento to
practice the previous night. As she listened to him talk, Kuroo’s mom could see
intense adoration, maybe even love, burning in his eyes. With a gentle hand and
even gentler voice, she urged him to be careful with his heart.

“She’s great mom, she’s not going to break my heart,” he insisted
but she persisted.

“Tetsurou, I know with the responsibility you both bear you feel
like you’re already adults, but remember; you’re both still so young. A lot can
happen between now and graduation.”

But he wouldn’t listen, couldn’t believe that someone so perfect
for him would be the cause of pain. Sure, you had your arguments and
disagreements, what couple didn’t? But at the end of the day you were still the
only one he wanted to talk to, needed
to talk to at least once to feel like it was complete. So he kept on going,
falling deeper and deeper for you until the only word left to describe it was
love.

He should have known to listen to the wisdom of his mother.

Prior to his final exams, Kuroo had been approached by a prestigious
college in Tokyo offering him a full ride volleyball scholarship. He was beyond
the moon with happiness because it meant he could stay at home, play the game
he loved and still see you as you finished out your third year.

He sprinted to your house, lost for breath as he rapidly told you
what had happened.

You listened silently, gripping his hands tightly with your eyes
shining with excitement on his behalf. But when he mentioned hopes to be able
to see you more often due to a less strenuous schedule he saw your face fall.

“What? What is it?” he asked, concern lacing his voice.

You shuffled your feet, eyes landing on the ground. A gentle tug
against your chin brought your face back up and Kuroo was startled to see you
holding back tears. “Babe, what’s going on?”

Sniffling you replied, “Um, about my third year, I made it into
the foreign exchange program.”

Kuroo felt like he’d been punched in the gut. He of course knew
about the program, it was something you’d talked about before the two of you had
gotten together. At the time, he’d been a bit sad at the prospect of you
leaving but that was before he’d fallen in love with you. And truthfully, he’d
assumed when you’d gotten together you would have forgone applying. He’d
feigned encouragement at the time you had, ashamed but unable to deny he’d
hoped perhaps you wouldn’t make it in, that the slots would fill, that
something would step in to stop you from going.

But no, the fates were cruel and you were leaving while he would
be here, alone without you. He shook his head, trying to shake himself into
sensible thinking. You’d done nothing wrong, you were following your dream just
as much as he would have done so were the tables turned. That didn’t stop the
sting he felt, the heavy weight of disappointment weighing down his heart.

“Kuroo-kun, say something,” your soft voice pleaded.

He blinked, roused back to the present and looked at your
intertwined hands. Giving them a squeeze, he pulled you in close, tucking you
easily beneath his chin and holding you tightly. “Congratulations,” he
whispered and felt your arms close around his waist in a vice like grip. You
held each other in silence, you soaking his shirt with your tears and his
sliding down his cheeks. This wasn’t going to be easy but he knew he couldn’t
let you go, at least not permanently.

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

From that day on, you and Kuroo spent as much time together as you
could. He would even go so far as to sneak out of his house, shimmy up the tree
outside your bedroom window and crawl in to sleep with you through the night,
always making sure to leave an hour before his mom’s alarm was set to go off.
In all the times he stayed with you, he never once tried to go further than
just sleeping but as the time for your departure drew closer, the temptation
grew stronger.

The days after Kuroo’s graduation were great because he had more
time to spend with you. Bitter sweet as leaving his high school team had been,
he knew he had a lot more work ahead of him with the new team so he focused all
of his attention on you as much as possible.

The night before you were scheduled to depart found you tangled up
in Kuroo’s embrace, limbs intertwined as he kissed you with passion. His hands
wandered shakily under your shirt, the feel of his palms scorching your skin as
he touched you.

A breathy, “Kuroo, wait,” fell from your lips as his trailed down
the side of your neck in sloppy, open mouth kisses. You pushed on his shoulder,
making him lean up to look down at you, eyes hooded and breath panting. “We…we
shouldn’t do this, not now.”

“Please,” he begged, nuzzling your nose and squeezing his eyes
shut, “I just…I need you so bad. Don’t you want this with me?” He opened his
eyes, cupping your face as he confessed, “I love you, _______.”

“Kuroo, I…I love you too, but…I don’t want our first time to feel
like…like we’re doing it to say goodbye,” you sniffled.

He clenched his teeth, fighting back a wealth of frustration at
this whole situation. His blood felt like it was on fire, his adoration for you
burning him from the inside out and for the first time in a long while he felt
a red, hot anger accompanying it.

When he didn’t speak you went on, gently touching his cheek with
the backs of your fingers. “Just…hold me tonight. I told my mom I was staying
here because I won’t see you for a year. When I get back…that’s when we can.”

Sighing, he laid back down, face buried in the crook of your neck.
“You won’t forget me, right?” he mumbled against your skin and you couldn’t
help the smile on your face.

“Of course not, you dork,” you admonished playfully slapping his
back. “I love you too much.”

To say time became a paradox for the both of you would feel like
an understatement. Somehow, your days apart went both quickly and terribly
slow. Kuroo finally figured it out one night, six months into your parting. The
days were fast because they were full of the busyness of life; volleyball
practice, classes, games, visiting friends when he had time, studying. But it
was the night, the quiet times miraculously not filled with obligations, where
he felt your absence the strongest. He could only speculate that the difference
between now and how things were in high school for the two of you was the fact
that he had no ability to see you in person. He couldn’t hug you, kiss you,
ruffle your hair, tickle you, fall asleep next to you.

Your relationship became centered around Skype calls and text
messaging and Kuroo could only be thankful he’d not been born in a time where
snail mail was the only option and even then, there was no guarantee a letter
would reach one’s loved ones.

He found it ironic that he longed for high school again, that it
felt simpler then because at least you were here.

Oh, simple
thing, where have you gone?

I’m
getting old and I need something to rely on

So tell me
when you’re gonna let me in

I’m
getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

Late one night, when Kuroo couldn’t sleep, he found himself wandering
the city in a mindless haze. His brain was going what felt like one hundred
miles per hour. Sighing, he decided to make the trek to the secret forest,
hoping the walk and being in a place that reminded him so much of you would
help calm him, even if it did sting to be there without you. It took him about
an hour to reach it but he climbed the ladder, sat down and stared out the
window at the stars.

He thought he heard movement from below but equated it to random
wildlife that had taken over the area. However, when he heard the creak of wood
and squeak of the ropes he flew to the hatch opening and looked down. From
below, he watched as a figure made their way up the ladder. Frowning, Kuroo
turned on his flashlight, shining the beam down and asked roughly, “Who’s
there?”

When your face came into view his heart almost stopped. What were
you doing here? A large smile split your face, your pace increasing to reach
him faster. As you neared the opening, Kuroo leaned down, grabbing your
forearms and hoisting you the remaining two feet easily. He collapsed backwards
pulling you on top of him, hands flying to cup your face.

I came
across a fallen tree

I felt the
branches of it looking at me

Is this
the place we used to love?

Is this
the place that I’ve been dreaming of?

“Wha…you…why…” he couldn’t get his brain to form a question due to
his shock of you being here so randomly.

“I came back tonight, my program ended early and I wanted to
surprise you,” you replied.

He didn’t answer, just pulled you roughly down to crash your lips
against his, tangling his fingers in your hair. An appreciative sigh exited
your nose, ghosting over his face warming him. He rotated, slamming the hatch
down to fully cut off the world but never broke the kiss. Hands wandered under
your shirt, cold fingers making you hiss but you wanted him touching you.

Kuroo released you to gather a breath but kept his face close,
unwilling to spare any distance if possible. Eyes shining with unshed tears you
looked up at him with such a look of pure love and longing it made his heart
dance. “Kuroo, I want to be with you,” you said and he groaned low in his
throat. Sitting up, he leaned against the wall tugging you into his lap,
quickly shedding you of your shirt. The night air made you shiver but the feel
of his heated skin when his own shirt was pulled away felt like heaven.

He kissed your neck with soft, teasing lips, savoring the taste of
you, relishing in the feel of you against him. “You really want to do this
here?” he asked breathless when your own mouth descended to his throat.

“I can’t wait to go back home, please Kuroo,” you panted.

He nodded a few times, lifting you up so he could stand and remove
his pants. Thankfully in the days of your coming here together, he’d been smart
enough to leave a plastic tub with a blanket and pillow for the times either of
you needed to stretch out comfortable, usually right next to each other.
Quickly he set them out and when he turned to find you completely naked he felt
himself firm up completely.

Moonlight struck your skin illuminating it to an almost ethereal
glow. He tore off his boxers, laying down on the ground to protect your body
from its firmness with his own. With arms outstretched, he beckoned you to lay
atop him which you did without hesitation.

His hands were everywhere, touching, caressing, molding your
flesh. He couldn’t get enough of your lips despite his desire to kiss you all
over your body. This wasn’t how he’d imagined your first time being, having
always believed you be in a warm comfortable bed with more solid walls and no
draft. That he could take his time worshiping your body. But at the same time,
it felt right to do this here, where the beginning of your relationship really
took place.

So he kissed you and touched you, receiving your returned
attentions with guttural grunts and low sighs. He prepared you as best he could
given the conditions, but you assured him you didn’t care, all you wanted was
to finally be with him, to be united in body as you were in heart and soul.

When he entered the depths of your being, you cried out in
momentary pain but his surprisingly skillful hands turned the tide towards
pleasure fairly quickly. The movements were awkward and slightly painful but
the joy of finally being together in every sense of the word overrode your
discomfiture.

And when you finally reached your peak, shrieking into the dead of
the night Kuroo lost himself and came too, spilling deep in your body.

“I…I’m sorry,” he panted, “I just…couldn’t…hold back.”

You leaned down, kissing him softly and assured him he did everything
you wanted and more. “I’m on the pill, it’s ok,” you advised and he felt
tension leave his body.

Snuggling you close to his chest, he kissed the top of your head. He knew you
couldn’t stay there, the cold of the night bound to make you both sick if
you did, but he remained still just a little bit longer, savoring the feel of
you being in his arms and the comfort of knowing he’d never have to let you go
again.

Congrats on all the followers dear! Celebratory songfics? Could I request one using the song Open Your Eyes by Tha Los? Perhaps with a scenario where Koganei is trying to comfort his crush, who has just had her heart broken by another person.

My first request for Koganei! I just love that cat boy so
much! Thanks for requesting, I hope you enjoy it! And thanks for the congratulations!

Open Your Eyes by Tha Los – Koganei

“Oh Koga, what is wrong with me?” you practically wail
throwing yourself dramatically on your bed.

Koga would be snickering at your theatrical display but he
knows you well enough to be aware this is no joke; you truly believe something is
wrong with you because that idiot broke up with you. Koga already didn’t like
him simply for the fact that he was with you and Koga wasn’t. Call him petty if
you like, that’s how he felt though he tried to be
as supportive as possible while stuffing down his own feelings to the balls of
his feet.

I see you in the
lonely place

How could you be so
blind

You still regretting
the love you left, left behind

But looking at you now, curled up in a fetal position, tears
streaming down your face, he sees just how much
he hurt you. Not one usually given to violence, Koga is startled by his intense
desire to deck this guy in the face; or at the very least bribe Kagami-kun to
do it. He shakes his head to dispel his irritation; you don’t need that right
now.

I seen you go through
the changes

Sitting alone each
night

Are you expecting to find
the love, love that’s right

Sitting on the bed, his hand lands on your shoulder, his grip
firm but gentle as he murmurs, “_____-chan, there’s nothing wrong with you.”

Your eyes flick up to his face, pain smeared across your
countenance. “Then why did he break up with me?” you whine. “I mean, I thought
everything was going perfectly!”

Darling open your eyes

Let me show you light

Girl you never find a
love that’s right

Koga grits his teeth and holds his tongue as his hand
mindlessly finds its way into your hair to stroke comfort into your body. He
sees your shoulders relax slightly from his touch, gratified that he can
provide you some relief however minor.

Suddenly, he’s overcome with a rush of confidence to confess
his feelings for you. He’s been caught up in waiting for the perfect moment but
realizes such a thing doesn’t exist. There is no perfect moment to put a decade’s
long friendship on the line by confessing deeper feelings. There is no perfect
time to take the longing of his heart and pull it out into the open, to leave
it vulnerable to your scrutiny.

There are times when
you need someone

I will be by your side

I’ll take my chances
before they pass, pass me by

But just as he’s about to open his mouth to do so, it occurs
to him that now would be the absolute worst
moment to do this. What if you think he’s patronizing you? Or that he’s
using your weakness to his advantage? Could you ever think those things about
him? The very thought makes his stomach flip uncomfortably and he has to hold
back a grimace.

Apparently, he doesn’t do so very well because you catch the
change in his expression, feel the tenseness in his body he wasn’t even aware
he was displaying.

“Koga? Are you ok?”

Momentarily distracted from your own pain in favor of
inspecting his obvious discomfort you lean up on your elbow, your proximity making Koga’s
heart skip two beats before racing like a jack rabbit. Your gaze has him locked
in an unbreakable hold and he doesn’t know what to do. His throat feels raw,
the effort to speak so difficult that he merely takes in a shaky breath,
exhaling it slowly to mingle with yours.

“Koga, you’re scaring me, what’s wrong?”

“______-chan,” he begins, voice low and gravelly, very
unlike his usual cadence, “what…what do you see when you look in my eyes?”

“Huh? What do you mean?” you ask confused.

His hand cups the side of your face, his touch sending an
unexpected shock coursing through your body that makes you jump in surprise but
you don’t pull back. If anything, you lean involuntarily into the embrace of
his palm. “Can’t you see the way I look at you?”

Oh darling, there is a
light that shines

Special for you and me

You need to look at
the other side, you’ll agree

Koga’s eyes are burning feverishly, so hotly that you want
to look away but you don’t dare because you know this is important, this is
something huge and significant happening and you don’t want to miss it no
matter how much it scares you. But why are you scared? This is just Koga, your best
friend. The guy who makes you laugh when you’re crying, who helps calm you down
when you’re struggling to get through homework and projects and tests, the guy
who works so hard for his team but always makes time for you, the guy-

Your thoughts cut off abruptly, eyes widening as the
realization of just who you’re
looking at finally hits you. This isn’t just
Koga.

This is who you’ve been looking for and all along he’s been
right in front of your face the whole time.

Darling open your eyes

Let me show you the
light

You may never find a
love that’s right

You lean forward, lips barely touching his but the contact
snaps the thin thread of control Koga has been clutching to. He surges forward,
knocking you flat on your back once more, his body half covering yours as his
lips caress yours firmly in a sultry kiss. The hand on your face trails to the
back of your head, gripping your hair as he nips your bottom lip.

Your mouth parts instinctively but you feel him hesitate,
unsure he should go on.

“Koga,” you whisper, encouragement, you hope, lacing your
tone.

The message gets through and he dives back in, this time
with no pause, tongue rolling against yours sending heat throughout your body.
You clutch at the back of his shirt, a slight moan escaping making your cheeks
erupt in flame.

He releases your lips, but keeps his forehead pressed to
yours, both of your breaths coming out in short, sharp pants.

When you finally open your eyes, it’s to find him staring
down at you, a placid smile on his face.

“Is it safe to say, you can see me now?” he asks and you
nod, pulling him down in a fierce hug.

“You’re all I want to see from now on,” you confess and he
tightens his grip.

Maybe now was the
perfect time after all.
