Welcome to the Haikyuu blog family!! How about a scenario of Inuoka confessing to his (fem) crush? I love that boy! He’s so cute!! Thanks!!

imagines-haikyuu:

hi cutie! thanks for requesting! sorry it took so long! xoxo

He was nervous; even you could tell. Usually, people saw him as calm and energetic like most of the Nekoma volleyball club members. He was one of those people that you could easily open up to, popular by both women and men. Of course, you were no exception. You befriended him after helping out with the club manager activity one day and had been friends since. You’ve kept your friendly facade for a while now, but your interest for him seeped through at times. How could it not? He was just so pretty.

He stared at your mouth, lips moving languidly as you explained the math problem to him. Your voice was melodic and the pace of your voice could lull him to sleep. He’s been interested even before you helped out the volleyball club and thanked the gods that they allowed you and him to have this opportunity to become friends. He tried his best to make known of his advance, but you were either extremely oblivious or you just weren’t interested in him. He was willing to take that chance though, and confess to you. He’s heard rumors about other boys from your class wanting to confess and he decided he couldn’t wait any longer.

“So, do you understand why this equation equals to this answer?” He shook his thoughts out of his head, and focused back on the bright blue textbook and notes in front of him.

“To be completely honest, I wasn’t paying attention in the last five minutes.” He replied sheepishly. You giggled, and placed your pencil down.

“That’s fine! We’ve been at it for an hour and I was getting a bit tired, too. We can take a break and I can explain it again.” You sipped on your juice and went back to your notes, thinking of another way to explain so Inuoka could understand. He fiddled with his utensil before opening his mouth.

“So,” You looked up, bright eyes shining with curiosity. God, you were so strikingly stunning. His mind twisted and his hands were beginning to dampen. “I know I’ve been busy with Nationals coming up, but I was wondering if you would want to come to Nationals to watch me.” You looked surprised, but smiled and nodded.

“Of course, Inuoka-kun. Why wouldn’t I?” He turned red, waving his hands in front of his face.

“Ahh, not just watch! I meant would you come to my match as my girlfriend?” Your smiled turned to shock and soon your entire face became flustered by his question. “Not gonna force you or anything, but I’e always liked you and you’re just so easy to talk to and fun to hang out with!” The smile on his face eased your tension and soon you shyly smiled back.

“I would love to, Sou-kun! I’ve liked you for a while, too.” He beamed with happiness as he pulled you in a suffocating hug.

“This is great! I can’t wait for Nationals! We’ll surely win with you cheering for us!” You nod, patting him in the back.

“That’s amazing and I look forward to that, but we gotta tackle these problems first to pass the test before you go to practice.“

He’s too precious!! Thanks for writing it, very cute!

hello i just wanna say thank so much for writing, i know it’s not easy to dedicate so much time to taking requests and writing and yet you do it! not only do you do it but do it in such an amazing and wonderful way! honestly your writing is truly inspiring and i hope to someday be as good as you are! i hope you never feel under appreciated or discouraged because you truly do have a gift to express feelings and liven the imaginations we have into words and so perfectly! have a good day love 💓

Awwww!!! Thank you so much sweetie! This honestly made my whole day and it’s just getting started where I am. I truly appreciate you taking the time to write this and will hold it close to my heart. Creators literally live on feedback so getting messages like these are blog sustaining meals!

I won’t lie, I do reach points where I feel like “why am I doing this?” when feedback is low or non-existent. Yes, I write for fun, but if that were all that was needed I wouldn’t feel like that I think.

Taking requests is very fun but it does bum me out when I write something for someone that they asked for and I never hear if they liked it or not.

I don’t even know if they do like it when they’re on anon because I have no way of knowing what heart belongs to what anon.

So yeah, if you ask in anon, that’s fine but please, send me an ask or a DM and let me know if you liked it! If not, tell me what I missed and I’ll try again.

Sorry that this reply turned into a semi-rant but I hope readers will understand why we as the writers continually ask you to let us know in words if/why/how you liked our work.

It keeps us going!

Thanks again lovely anon, you’re a sweetie pie and I am so glad to be able to provide content so much enjoyed! 😘

Wrong- by MAX for some public smutty fun with our favorite salt shaker

I’m pretty sure I picked the right salty boy, lol.

Wrong- by MAX – Tsukishima

Tsukishima hisses as your lips caress his neck, teeth
nipping the sensitive flesh. “You’re insatiable,” he grumbles and feels you
chuckle.

“Maybe,” you purr pulling back to look into his golden hues,
“but you can’t deny this excites you.” You punctuate the claim by palming the front
of his jeans, his erection straining against the firm material. He curses, head
falling back against the wall of the secluded corner you’ve pushed him into.

Your hand trails up and over the edge of his waist band,
pushing roughly past his boxers to grasp his length.

Oh that girl, she want it, yeah she need it

She
a bad mother, and I believe it

A choked gasp falls out of his open mouth, eyes narrowing as
you stroke him. “Come on, Kei, let’s see how far I can take you until we get
caught.”

She says “Come closer and don’t lock the door”

She doesn’t care who sees anymore

It’s better when it feels wrong

He grabs your shoulders, managing to pivot around and slam
you up against the wall. “You’re gonna regret starting this shit here,” he
growls, biting your neck firmly making you cry out in surprise. He plunges two
fingers into your mouth. “Keep quiet,” he orders, licking his lips when you
begin sucking on his digits. He grins. “Hmmmm, that’s a much better occupation
for your mouth.”

You frown, nipping the tip of his fingers prompting him to
tug your hair.

“Undo my pants,” he commands, light flashing through his
gaze.

From down the hall, you can hear the murmur of voices, your
bodies only partially hidden by the thick curtains. Your fingers shake as you
work to get Kei free of the confines of his pants. “Nervous?” he teases and you
shake your head back and forth, mouth still working over his fingers. “Excited?”

At your nod, he lets out a huff of breath. “You’re such a
freak,” he asserts.

Pulling back, you let go of his fingers, “Says the boy who’s
going to fuck me in the middle of his brother’s engagement party.”

Kei grabs your head, tugging you forward to kiss you
harshly, his tongue slicing through your mouth making you moan, but this time
you keep your volume low. His hands trail down to the hem of your skirt,
lifting it over your hips before hooking his fingers into the edge of your
panties.

“You’re already soaked,” he pants against your lips, “you
want me this bad?”

Oh that girl, she want it, yeah she need it

“Stop talking and just fuck me already, Kei,” you quip back,
tugging his bottom lip between your teeth.

“So vulgar, how did I end up with such a terrible person as
a girlfriend?”

She a bad mother, and I believe it

“Because you’re just as bad,” you whisper then kiss him
again.

Just as he’s about to move aside the fabric covering your core
and shove in, a voice nearer than you’d prefer for your compromised position
sounds. “You know, you’re lucky it’s me who found you and not your parents.”

You lift your eyes and find yourself looking into Saeko’s,
an ironic smile on her face.

“Save it for the bedroom kiddies,” she chuckles, patting Kei
on the back before turning to head back to the main room.

Putting yourselves back together, you make your way back
towards the festivities, both slightly flushed.

While on your way home, you reach over and grab Kei through his pants.

“I can’t wait anymore,” you coo.

He sends you a glare but stops the car anyway, roughly tugging you into the back seat to finish what you started at the party.

She says “Pull over and don’t lock the doors”

She doesn’t care who sees anymore

It’s better when it feels wrong

Hello! (♥ó㉨ò)ノ♡ I’d like to request one! ‘Leave your lover by Sam Smith’ with Tendou or ‘I’m not the only one by Sam Smith’ with Bokuto. I couldn’t pick one so I’d love to let you decide! Thank you! ❤

Thank you for requesting and I really hope I did justice for
your song and character choice!

Leave Your Lover By Sam Smith – Tendou

Sighing heavily, Tendou watches from across the room as you
make your way to the bar, eager to gather more libations. The past few months
have been tough on him, having to leave everything he’s known for the great big
bad world. Even though it was his decision to stop after high school, he misses
volleyball. He misses his friends a lot more than he thought he would for
telling himself he prefers to be a loner.

That’s all bullshit and he knows it.

He ended up coming to this school just because you’re here.
Because he’s been in love with you all through high school and a part of him
always hoped you’d “wake up” and see what was right in front of you.

Don’t have direction,
I’m just rolling down this road

Waiting for you to
bring me in from out the cold

But it wasn’t too long after you’d both settled into your
new routines that you added an unexpected element to yours; a boyfriend. And that’s
when the insomnia started for him.

You’ll never know the
endless nights, the rhyming of the rain

Or how it feels to
fall behind and watch you call his name

Tendou should have left then or at least pulled away a bit
to give himself room to get used to this, but he’s a masochist, choosing to
stay close to the girl he loves while she wastes her time on someone who doesn’t
deserve her. And he knows the guy doesn’t because most of the conversations you
and he have about the boyfriend consist of you either complaining about
problems or excusing them away.

And lately his thoughts have been consumed with asking you
to come to your senses and see this guy just isn’t worthy of you.

Leave your lover,
leave him for me

“Things are getting better,” you comment sitting down.

He hums in acknowledgment of your words, though he’s only
half listening at this point, taking a long swig of his beer.

“I think after this semester we’ll be more settled. It’s challenging
with our schedules, you know? Like, he has practice so much and family
obligations. It’s just hard but we’ll get through it.”

Tendou doesn’t know if you’re trying to convince him or
yourself at this point. And he really shouldn’t be annoyed with you; as your self-proclaimed
best friend he should be a supportive, listening ear but he’s reaching the end
of his tether and it’s about to snap.

Another beer lands before him, Tendou sending a look of
thanks to the waitress who winks at him. He barely catches it, but you see it
and grin.

“Just think, Satori-kun, someday we’ll be sitting here or
somewhere similar toasting to one another because we finally found true love,”
you say, giggling slightly under the influence of the large pint you’ve already
consumed as you raise your hand for another.

We sit in bars and
raise our drinks to growing old

Oh, I’m in love with
you and you will never know

He chuckles mirthlessly. Tendou doesn’t know if he’s being
over dramatic, but he really feels in the depth of his heart that he will never
find a more perfect girl for him than you, so even the thought of anyone else
sets his teeth on edge. But he won’t tell you that, you don’t need that burden.

But if I can’t have
you I’ll walk this life alone

Spare you the rising
storms and let the rivers flow

The sound of your cell phone ringing pierces through the
hubbub of the bar. When your eyes light up, he knows it’s him.

“Hi sweetie,” you coo into the phone, sending a bright smile
to Tendou that makes his stomach flip. But the next moment, he’s frowning,
watching your face begin to fall as you listen to whatever your “perfect prince”
is saying.

“But we had it planned for months!” you protest, tone
bordering on whining. A few tears prickle the edges of your eyes, your grip on
the phone tightening. “I understand that but can’t he make an exception?” More
tears, some sliding down your cheeks and Tendou feels his own fist clench in
anger; what the hell is saying to make you cry?

“Fine, yeah, whatever,” you say breathlessly, snapping your
phone down and shoving it in your purse.

There’s silence between you and Tendou, your eyes cast down
to the table.

“Sorry, Satori-kun, he-“

“Leave him,” Tendou says firmly and your head shoots up,
eyes wide.

“Wha-?”

He takes your hand, stemming your speech and repeats slowly,
“Leave him,” his eyes filled with the truth of his affections.

Pack up and leave
everything

Don’t you see what I
can bring

You shake your head a little, unclear what he means. “Satori-kun,
I appreciate your concern but-“

He interrupts again, “This has nothing to do with concern and
everything to do with the fact that I’m in love with you!”

Can’t keep this
beating heart at bay

He feels you jump at his words. “I never told you before because
I was too damn scared, but I’m telling you now and I know I’m better for you that he is. So please,” he stands, walking
slowly around the table to stand before you on your stool, hand cupping the
side of your face. “Let me show you what it means to be someone’s everything.”

Set my midnight sorrow
free

I will give you all of
me

Just leave your lover,
leave him for me

Tendou sees you swallow, your body quivering a bit as you
look up at him. The slightest lift of your head sends his coursing down to
plant his lips against yours, his arm wrapping around your waist. You sigh into
the kiss, body releasing its tension as he holds you upright.

When you part, he can see you’re still crying but the light
shining in the center of your irises gives him hope that they are tears of joy.

You confirm his suspicions when you whisper, “Finally.”

Sugawara – First Date Head Cannons

  • You can bet this boy will punctual. He accounts for needing
time to ditch the curious (read: troublesome) first and second years who caught
wind of his date with you. He’ll make a mental note to scold them later, or
even better tease them in front of their crushes.
  • He brings flowers, a small bunch of freesia (innocence) and
    ranunculus (radiant).
  • He impresses your parents with ease. In fact, your mother is
ready to marry you off to him after only a few sentences. Even your dad seems
impressed when Suga meets his eyes steadily and confidently but respectfully
assures him he will bring you home safe and sound and on time.
  • To alleviate some first date nerves he’s opted for casual,
sporting nice jeans, a button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows
and the top button undone and simple sneakers. You followed suit wearing a
simple dress but he compliments you as if you were wearing a gown; but you can
    tell it’s not insincere flattery.
  • For simplicity, he takes you to his favorite café known for
their tasty drinks and desserts so you can move forward from being
acquaintances. Going to a movie where you’d have to sit in silence for most of
the evening would not work towards his goal of getting to know you on a deeper
    level.
  • He’s the perfect gentleman, opening the door for you,
pulling out your chair and making sure you’re seated comfortably.
  • With a playful grin, he suggests the two of you order a
drink and dessert for one another rather than making your own selections; a
simple way to add a little bit of excitement to a simple date. He, of course,
makes the perfect selections on both but assures you that you chose just as
well for him. Secretly, Suga wasn’t too worried about this part of the evening
since pretty much everything here is delicious but it was still fun to watch
you debate over what to get him. It showed him you were taking this, and him,
seriously no matter how light hearted the activity.
  • After a couple hours of delightful and fun conversation he
walks you home, your hands brushing against one another from time to time but
neither of you are bold enough to grasp the other; at least not yet.
  • When you reach your front door Suga faces you, a warm smile
on his lips. Reaching forward he does finally take your hand making goosebumps
rise from the point of contact all the way up your arm. He sweetly thanks you
for your company this evening and hopes you had a nice time. You assure him
that you did and he gives your hand a firm squeeze before making his way down
the porch steps and back out to the sidewalk headed home. He turns once,
pleased to see you watching him go and sends a wave which you return before he
    continues his way home.
  • The next day a note is taped to your desk along with an
anemone (anticipation). The note expounds on his enjoyment of the previous
evening and a request to take you out again. The sooner the better. You can
barely stay still in your seat the whole morning and when the lunch bell
finally rings you race to his classroom to give your enthusiastic yes. His
smile, if possible, is brighter than Hinata’s after hitting a perfect spike.

Sugawara – Prompt #91 – “Can I hold your hand?”

The final whistle blow announces the end of the
match and a devastating loss for Karasuno. You were so sure they’d pull it off in the end. Quickly you make your way
from the stands to the common area, looking for silver hair. When he comes out
of the arena your heart breaks; he’s barely holding it together.

You reach his side, trying to give an encouraging
look but it’s impossible; everyone feels this loss.

After a brief meeting with the coach he’s free to go
but just sits on a bench, staring at the sky.

“I don’t know what to say,” you murmur feeling
helpless.

Looking at you with sad but kind eyes he asks, “Can I hold your hand?

Wordlessly you thread your fingers together, giving
his hand a squeeze before you both watch the clouds float by. Sometimes words
aren’t needed to comfort.

Kuroo – At the Café

Running in from the torrential downpour that erupted, Kuroo
shakes the water from his head and shirks his now soaked Nekoma team jacket.

“I thought the forecast called for sunshine today,” he grumbles, wringing the drenched garment over
the nearest potted plant. Shaking it out, he places the cold material over his
forearm as he readjusts the bag hanging on his shoulder. Looking around he
smiles. He’s never been to a place like this before but he’s heard Kenma talk
about them. Thanks to the sudden storm he’s found himself stranded in a book
café. Usually lacking any spare time to read for pleasure, he’s never had
reason to seek one out but it will do as a haven in this tempest.

Turning his head, he notices a chalkboard with the “perfect
pairings” of the day. Looking closer he sees these are recommendations of books
to read and which drinks to enjoy while you do.

How clever,” he
thinks reading over the list:

A Study in Scarlet –
Lapsan Souchong Tea

Sense and Sensibility
– Earl Grey Tea

Harry Potter and the
Sorcerer’s Stone – Butter Beer Soda

The Hobbit – Hot Rum
Coffee

Chuckling to himself, Kuroo makes his way further into the
café, eyes trailing around to take in the décor. The walls are, unsurprisingly,
lined with shelves of books stretching all the way to the ceiling of the rather
tall building with ladders that have signs saying, “PLEASE ASK FOR ASSISTANCE.”

In the center of the room are various chairs, couches,
chaises and stools all exceptionally comfortable looking. In the very back,
around another shelf of books, lies an almost hidden alcove are four pods nestled
within the shelves where one can stretch out if they so desire. Finding them
empty, Kuroo takes advantage of his luck, slinging down his bag and crawling
into one of the spaces.

He’s surprised to find he fits and commends the
establishment for considering their taller patrons. Placing his hands behind
his head he’s just about to close his eyes when a giggle carries down the rows
of make believe causing his eyelids to fly open and himself to catapult out of
the comfy nook. Neglecting his bag, he rounds the corner to find the source of
the noise.

In little time, he comes across the drink and snack
dispensary and it’s there he finds what, or rather who, he’s looking for. He’d
know that giggle anywhere, no matter how many years it’s been since he last
heard it. His eyes widened when they land on your profile. You’re talking to a
customer, a regular from the looks of it, your eyes shining and grin confident.
You always were so sure of yourself, it was one of the things which attracted
Kuroo to you in the first place even at a young age.

He can’t help but stare at you because the last time he saw
you, when you both were twelve years old, he thought you were the cutest girl
in the world. Now…now you’re the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. Your hair
is perfectly styled but at the same time has a natural look to it and his hand
itches to run his fingers through it. Your smile is bright and wide, one of his
most favorite features you possess. He’d always try to come up with ways to
make you smile, whether it was at his expense or the expense of others. He’d
loved making you blush, learning to craft his art of provocation based on your
reactions. He’d be lying if he didn’t admit he’s tried a time or two to make
other girls react the way you did when you were together, but it never is quite
the same.

And now, after 6 years, he can finally talk to you again.
That is, if he can get his legs to move or his mouth to work. He wasn’t
expecting this reaction to seeing you again. It’s like you’re the same person
and someone completely different at the same time. His teenage hormones aren’t
helping the situation either but that’s neither here nor there; there’s no way he’s leaving without at least
talking to you and hopefully getting your number.

He realizes he’s never fully let go of the crush he had on
you and just seeing you again has brought those feelings all the way to the
surface frighteningly quick. Despite his nervousness, he finally gets his feet
to work, striding to the counter now that the other customer has left.

Your back is to him as you arrange their order and when you
turn back around he’s smirking in the teasing manner he’s known for.

Your eyes grow exceptionally wide as you inhale a breath of
surprise. Then, before he knows what’s happening, you’ve launched yourself over
the counter, throwing your arms around his neck. His body moves on autopilot,
arms wrapping around your waist as you say rather loudly, “Oh my god, Tetsukuroo!”
The old nickname makes his heart warm further and he squeezes you tightly.

“Hey ______-chan, fancy meeting you here,” he says
chuckling.

When you finally pull back you’re blushing like mad, mostly
due to the snickers coming from behind by your co-worker. Extracting yourself
from Tetsuro, you smooth out your apron and shirt trying to calm your heart.
It’s been ages since you last saw him. You don’t quite know how you lost touch
when you moved but all the years seem to melt away when you look in his eyes.
Time has done him well. You always thought he was cute but now…damn!

“So, how long have you been back?” he asks, hands in his
pockets.

“Um, not very long, just under a month,” you reply tucking a
strand of hair behind your ear.

Just as he’s about to ask another question a throat clearing
catches both of your attention. Turning around you see your manager looking
pointedly at you and then the cash register. Squeaking out an apology, you grab
a napkin and hastily scrawl your phone number.

“Call or text me later, I’m off at 4:00,” you say hurriedly
and then dash back behind the counter.

Clutching the napkin like a life line, Kuroo makes his way
back to his stuff. The nook is still open so he lays back down. He’s thrilled
to have run into you again and even more happy at how happy you looked to see him.
Having you in his arms wasn’t bad either. Glancing at your number he puts it in
his phone but he has no plans of calling you. He’s going to wait here until
you’re done with your shift.

Pulling a random book from the shelf next to his head he
begins reading, finding the story surprisingly interesting. Before long two
hours has gone by and it’s time for you to get off. Gathering his stuff Kuroo
waits around the corner from where you have to walk to exit the food and drink
area. As you pass him he slinks up behind you and says, “Boo.”

You squeal turning around rapidly and almost dropping the
load of books in your arms. Helping to steady you, Kuroo laughs. “Still such a
scaredy cat,” he teases making you blush.

“And still such the schemer I see,” you retort with mock
irritation.

He grins and ruffles your hair. Again it’s like no time at
all has gone by and nothing’s changed save for the thundering in your heart
when you look at him.

Kuroo, unbeknownst to you, is having similar thoughts and
feelings. What he believed to be a childhood crush is rapidly growing into a
firm attraction for you.

Get a grip Kuroo,”
he thinks as he walks with you to the exit, “You literally just found each other again. Don’t scare her off by
coming on too strong.”

“You didn’t have to wait for me you know,” you say as you
put the stack of books onto a cart that says RETURNS on it.

“Who said anything about waiting for you? I got wrapped up
in a book,” he quips smirking at you. It’s not entirely a lie, he really did
get sucked into the story he was reading but he can’t pass up an opportunity to
tease you.

You roll your eyes, shifting the bag on your shoulder.
Looking outside you can see it’s still raining cats and dogs out there and the
thought of rushing to the train stop in this downpour is less than inviting.
Looking back at Kuroo you say, “Well, since you’re here anyway we may as well
catch up. At least until the rain stops.”

“Sounds good, how about over there?” He points to a couch
near a hearth where a pleasant fire is burning. Nodding you follow him over,
the two of you placing your bags down before taking a seat facing one another.

Over the next two hours you talk about everything. What
you’ve been up to in your new home before coming back, how he’s the captain of
the volleyball team and all the preparations and practice the team is doing to
make it to Nationals. You talk school, friends, family, anything and
everything.

Eventually both of your stomachs rumble louder than the
thunder crashing outside.

Looking sheepish Kuroo asks, “I don’t suppose that little
place in the back does dinner?”

You laugh shaking your head. “No, just drinks, pastries and
simple snacks. I’m afraid if we want actual food we’re going to have to brave
the storm.”

Gathering your stuff, you make your way together to the
front door. Neither of you have an umbrella so you’ll have to make a run for
it. Dashing out the door you’re both soaked within seconds but are laughing as
you scamper towards the train station. Looking at Kuroo with his wide silly
grin makes you fall for him even harder. How can you feel so deeply for him
after only a couple of hours?

When you finally reach the station and look at each other
you burst out laughing at the same time. Kuroo’s hair is completely plastered
against his head and face and you doubt you look much better. The train hasn’t
arrived yet and as you wait you shiver. It’s quite cold in addition to being
wet. Suddenly you feel strong arms around you and turn into them, wrapping your
arms around Kuroo’s waist.

As your head settles on his chest you listen to his heart.
It’s beating fast and you can’t help but wonder if that’s due to the run or
because he’s holding you.

When you look up you find him already looking down at you.
Your eyes meet and a thousand words pass without a sound. You tilt your head
up, your face inching closer to his.

“_____-chan,” he says lowly, his warm breath caressing your
face. All you do is nod and he closes the distance, kissing you softly at
first. Then, as if setting a match to a tinder box, his arms move from your
shoulders to your waist tugging you against his firm torso. His lips are
insistent, hungrily massaging your own until you yield, allowing his tongue to
graze yours. Instant heat floods your belly moving outward to your limbs. This
is now your most favorite way of warming up.

For need of oxygen, you pull away inhaling deeply before
opening your eyes. Kuroo’s own are wide and dilated, his cheeks a rosy red and
his mouth curling up into his signature grin.

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you like me
_____-chan,” he says nuzzling your nose.

You giggle giving him another peck. “You always could read
me like an open book, Tetsukuroo.”

He groans. “Argh, you and your puns!”

Then his eyes turn a little serious, his hand cupping your
cheek. “But that won’t stop me from liking you. I mean, really, really, really liking you.” He pauses, taking in
a deep breath before asking, “Be my girlfriend?”

You nod and he kisses you again, the perfect end to your
fairytale day and the perfect beginning of a grand new adventure.

Tobio Kageyama – Prompt #58 –  “I’ve been in love with you my entire life. Ever since the first day I met you.”

You aren’t sure what it is but something is certainly bothering your
dear bestie. The boy (now man) you’ve grown up with is acting rather strange.
His face is even more scowlly than usual, a tenseness in his muscles that fills
you with unease.

“Tobio-kun,” you say slowly, “what’s wrong?”

Kageyama’s breath catches. His lungs burn, his heart aches; how
could he have let this happen? You’ve been right here, right here the whole
time and he never said anything! And now…now you belong to someone else. Or at
least you will, unless maybe…

In true Tobio fashion he looks you dead in the eye and blurts
out, “_____-chan, I’ve been in love with
you my entire life. Ever since the first day I met you
.“ He sees your
eyes widen, your mouth opening and closing but no sound coming out. Before you
can get your voice to work he’s speaking again, “I know I’m an idiot, waiting
until now to tell you this, but…I
can’t let the rest of my life go on without having at least tried…even at the
last minute.”

You both glance to the diamond ring on your left hand. Tears
trail down your cheeks when you look back at him and he can see the answer in
your eyes. Because as much as Tobio means to you, you love Tooru.
