hi! i’m quite new to your blog and I really like everything i read so far! do you know when you’ll open your request box again? sorry I hope I’m not sounding too demanding!

Not at all dear and thank you for your kindness! I still have about 22 asks and since they are almost all scenarios they take me quite a while so I’m not 100% sure when I can start taking more requests. But trust me, I appreciate the interest! My hope is to open it in the next couple weeks. 😉 Thanks again for dropping by!

Akashi, Midorima, Aomine, Kagami, Hyuga, Kasamatsu, and Miyaji’s reaction to finding their s/o – who apparently has no interest in basketball and barely watches their games – watching and fangirling over a basketball-themed sports anime?

imagine-knb:

Kagami: Until you showed him a few episodes, Kagami had no idea that there were even anime dedicated to basketball. He had been too caught up playing the actual game to look for anything related to it on television. He doesn’t understand why you prefer the fake TV show, though.

Hyuuga: Being a fan of sport manga himself, Hyuuga can sort of understand why you would like a sport anime. Still, he’s a little peeved that you wouldn’t come see him in any of his games, but would cancel all plans to watch a new episode of whatever the hell it was you were watching.

Kasamatsu: He’ll never admit it, but he feels a little betrayed. Basketball was one of things he didn’t have trouble talking with you about, so the fact that you liked a fake anime over the real deal kind of hurt Kasamatsu. Maybe he’d just have to show you while the real version was better.

Aomine: How annoyingly fake could one show get? Aomine understood liking basketball, but he couldn’t understand liking basketball with super powers. Some of the moves the characters did were so unrealistic, he couldn’t help but scoff at them. Seriously? Nobody can teleport.

Midorima: Not minding when you watched the anime, Midorima would sit down for a few episodes with you. He wouldn’t be saying anything out loud, but you can bet that every minute of the show has him critically analyzing why every character was wrong in how they proceeded a game.

Miyaji: Sometimes he’ll watch the anime with you, pointing out all the technical mistakes the animators made every so often. He actually uses some of the strategies your anime comes up with in his practices, finding some potential in the way the animated characters thought.

Akashi: Okay, so real basketball just wasn’t your thing. Akashi could accept that. What he was having a hard time grasping was why you would get so excited over a fake basketball game. Where was the fun when every win or loss was already predetermined by a script?

Aomine’s is the best! SO META I SNORTLED! (My word lol) I loved this so much.

Hey there! What social media app do you think the boys would be most active on?

nekoma-headcanons:

(Good request. 11/10)

Tetsurō Kuroo:

  • You can find Kuroo on most used socialization apps. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, you name it, he’s got it. He is pretty popular on Twitter with his sassy remarks to famous people’s bullshit though.
  • His accounts are linked, so when he posts something, it will immediately be shared everywhere. He’s the guy who spams group chats with bad memes and terrible jokes at 3 am in the morning and annoys everyone.

Nobuyuki Kai:

  • Kai does not care very much for social media. He’s the type of person that keeps in touch with others through phone calls and messages, rather than social apps. He finds it easier to keep in touch for some reason.
  • He does have a Facebook account and has been added to different group chats, like his class’ one and the one for his team, but he rarely checks them due to the mass spams of memes and messages.

Morisuke Yaku:

  • Yaku also is not the biggest fans of the large variety of social apps that have appeared on the market, but just as well uses Facebook to keep in touch with family, friends and others.
  • He usually posts pictures from his holidays or selfies with the team, but he doesn’t stress to be very active. He’s a third year and needs to prepare both for volley matches and University exams.

Taketora Yamamoto:

  • He posts frequently on Instagram, but it’s such a pure and wholesome content? Like, pictures of his cats, or the sunset on a partially cloudy day, or his mother’s carnations.
  • Yamamoto also uses Snapchat a lot and all of his snaps are funny or silly,. It’s his main app with which he keeps in touch with his bros, Nishinoya and Tanaka. He might have also used Tinder in the past.

Kenma Kozume:

  • Kenma is not one for socializing too much, so he spends a lot of time on Tumblr where he doesn’t have to worry too much on what people’s opinions are about his blog, which involves video games mostly.
  • He also lurks on different reddit forums and gets himself some nice spoilers on games and series, but he’s just as well ready to roast someone who does not do justice to his fave characters.

Shōhei Fukunaga:

  • I feel like Fukunaga also spends a lot of his free time on Tumblr. His memes are always on point and up to date, so are his jokes and puns. He runs an entire pun blog and he’s proud of it.
  • He also uses Facebook to be up to date with how his friends are doing and to also leave short yet sweet and encouraging messages on people’s achievements. He’s got a small number of friends.

Sō Inuoka:

  • Inu is pretty active on Facebook. He ticks his location when he goes out with friends, he always gets tagged in pictures and he shares a lot of posts on his wall which he finds interesting or funny. He’s also part of quite some groups.
  • Him and Shibayama have a lot of fires on Snapchat and they can’t even conceive of losing their strike. 130 days is not something to break. He posts from time to time on Insta as well.

Lev Haiba:

  • Lev has an Instagram account he has dedicated to his photography work. Besides the breathtaking landscapes and close ups of random plants, you can sometimes find blurry pics of fellow teammates or cats. He had a deviantArt at some point.
  • He used to scroll on 9gag and 4chan a lot, but those were some dark days. Now, mostly, he gets his dose of laughter and information from his Facebook feed or Tumblr.

Yuki Shibayama:

  • Tumblr is mostly in his comfort zone, but Shibayama can sometimes get lost in the multitude of interesting links reddit has to offer. The No Sleep stories have kept him up and meditating a lot.
  • The Spanchat streak is real! He also updates his story on Snap from time to time with trivial things and pets he’s met, but he never expected so many people to actually be interested in it.

I love Yamamoto’s!

Idk if this was answered but what are your top five fave blogs?

Hi anon! No, this question has not been asked of me before
now so thank you for the inquiry.

There are so many quality blogs so it really is hard to
choose a top five, but these are the ones I go to consistently, either seeking new
content (though they will show up on my dash) or to go through their archives.

In no particular order:

@haikyuulovercompany – super sweet admin who writes the
cutest, fluffiest stuff ever! Her match ups are well thought out and creative.

@hq-hq-headcanons – writer has great ideas and executes them
very well. Admin is very nice and great to chat with.

@imagine-knb – beware, you will get SUCKED IN to their
archive. It’s huge since they’ve been around a while and the writing is all top
notch. Admin Neon is the sweetest person and I’ve enjoyed getting to know her
through DM.

@nsfwhaikyuu-knb – I really enjoy the ideas this writer
comes up with and the match ups have been great. Another sweet admin who I enjoy
talking to.

@imagine-that-haikyuu – great work coming from May and Rachel,
looking forward to more of them on my dash! Very supportive of the community
and sweet!

Thanks for the question, I hope you will follow them and enjoy their work!

Do you have any writing tips? Because I really love your writing style and I’m trying to improve mine :3

First off, thank you for the compliment, both on the fact
that you like my writing and that you would ask me for tips. That is definitely
high praise indeed.

The first thing is just
keep writing. Now, that may sound odd but the phrase practice makes perfect
wasn’t said for nothing. The more you do something, the better (hopefully) you
will become because you will grow the existing skills you have.

Read…a lot. And I’m not just talking other imagines, though
that does help. Read books, read multi-chapter fanfictions of your favorite
shows, read different genres of stories to help glean their tones. Often there
are multiple tones which can occur in a story even if you have a centralized
theme (romance, horror, etc) so having a pile of inspiration to draw from is
helpful. Also, re-read stories you love with the intent to pay attention at how
you’re feeling, what you’re seeing in your mind. Notate what about the story
draws you in and think how to emulate (not copy of course) that in your own.

Keep a journal or notebook (paper and electronic) to write
down new ideas, plot points, dialogue, scene set up, etc. Inspiration can hit
at almost any time and it really sucks to have a GREAT idea or to work out a
plot point that was giving you trouble only to forget it later because you didn’t
write it down.

Get your ideas out but try not to critique too much as you
go. Some of that is fine because you don’t want to create double work for
yourself when editing. But I find that sometimes when I’m paying too much
attention to finer details I lose my overall focus of what I’m trying to say.
So instead, I just write what’s in my head and allow myself to worry about
trimming it down later. This works for me, it may not for you or others and truthfully,
I don’t do it all the time. But when I allow myself the freedom to just write sometimes I find my best stuff
comes out because I’m not overly criticizing it as I go which can stifle
creativity very quickly. I hope that made sense.

The above leads into the next: Re-read your work repeatedly. The first time, look for
grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and tense errors. Clean up the mess
(because it happens to all of us).

After you finish editing as above, step away from what you
just wrote and let it sit. I don’t always follow this because I get impatient
with myself but when I do manage to I’ve found my writing is of a higher
quality. If you can let it sit for a whole day without revisiting it, it gives
you a chance to read it with fresh eyes when you go back.

Now, after you’ve let it sit, if you’re working on a
multi-chapter, read the previous chapter and go right into the next. Check the
flow and makes sure everything makes sense. Does it feel choppy? Too wordy? Not
enough description? Too much description? How does the dialogue, feel/sound?
What can you do to convey your message as cleanly and simply as possible?
Writing with great description and detail is fine but our brains are really
good at filling in gaps using our imagination. We don’t have to spell
everything out.

When doing the second read through, if something feels like
it doesn’t fit or may fit later or you even wonder what the heck you were
thinking, don’t delete it. Open a separate
word doc and take what I call the scraps and put them there. Label however you
need to in order to remember what they are for. I usually have a scrap doc open
for any story I’m writing and use it only for that story. If I start a new one,
I open a new scrap doc and use it. This way, if you came up with a really great
scene that just didn’t feel well placed in one part of your story, you already
have it ready to go for the next. I’ve even had lines of dialogue that felt
more appropriate for later in the story and just hung onto them until I could
use them.

Finish your cut and paste then let it sit again if you can.
Again, this is to allow your brain time to step away from what you’re so close
to so that when you read it one last time you’re not filling in gaps or
glossing over errors because your brain is supplying the answers and your eyes
aren’t able to see them.

If you have someone you can trust that will give you honest
feedback, ask them to read it. Take their opinions and apply changes where
necessary. I have one person I bounce stuff off of and it helps me a lot. If
you don’t want to have someone you know personally do it, seek out a beta
reader.

Don’t give in trolls, just don’t. If someone has something
constructive say, listen with a grain of salt because you CAN’T PLEASE
EVERYONE. I stress this because I have to remind myself of it often.

The biggest thing to remember is: have fun. Writing like
this, while challenging, is supposed to be fun. It’s an indulgence to explore
options for characters you love so make sure you’re enjoying it!

I hope that answers your question and isn’t too
overwhelming. Everything I described above can be used for imagines/scenarios
too and your blog will stand out if you apply them. Thanks again for following, reading and reaching out. I’m
happy to help if you ever have any more questions. You can send an ask or DM me
if you like.

[Songfic Event] Heard it Through the Grapevine (Candice Glover version) feat. COP!AOMINE x FEM!SO. Mild angst due to some misunderstanding; fluffy ending please. Up to your discretion whether to include an NSFW component somewhere. Thanks & congratulations!

Thank you for the congratulations and the request! Officer
Aomine is a popular one! I don’t think I followed the letter of the song
entirely because the rumor part is so small but I feel good about what I came
up with and think it is within the spirit of the song. If it’s so off the mark
you want me to try again, please let me know, but I hope you enjoy this!

Heard It Through The Grapevine – cover by Candice Glover – Aomine

“Who was that woman I saw with Aomine?”

“The one with the pink hair? I have no idea! Maybe an old
girlfriend?”

“Or a new one if the rumors about him are true. Really, I
thought he’d turned over a new leaf since marrying his wife but I guess people
never really change.”

“It’s just a shame because she’s so sweet…”

The voices of the two women fade to white noise as you hold
a shaking coffee cup in your hand. Thanks to the high backs of the booth in the
diner, they’d no idea you were able to hear their conversation. Not that you
were one to listen in on other people, but being alone you had nothing to
distract you and hearing your husband’s name of course caught your attention.
Now, you weren’t sure if you were glad to hear this or not. The phrase “ignorance
is bliss” wasn’t coined for no good reason.

They rise and walk out, still not noticing that one of the
subjects of their gossip is sitting with tears rolling down her face as they
continue their mindless chatter.

You sit there for a long time, staring into space as you go
over the last couple months in your mind. Daiki has been busy, picking up
extra shifts (or so he says) because he wants to make sergeant and with the
heavy competition within the department he needs to put in all the work he can.

But now you’re second guessing him, wondering if perhaps he’s
been lying to you this whole time. When you started dating Aomine after
college, some catty girls who never got past high school warned you that he
wouldn’t be faithful, that his sex drive was too high for one woman to satisfy.
Granted, you knew Aomine was a considerable horn dog, but it was just in his
nature being an alpha male. One year into the academy, he was working his ass
off to earn his stripes. When they’d tried to tell you more, you’d stopped
them. Regardless of how he was in the past, Aomine for the most part treated
you with respect and really cared about you.

So you continued dating for two years and at his graduation
from the academy he proposed.

That was five years ago and you’d never been happier; until
now.

You shake your head, standing up and tossing a tip on the
table as you make your way outside. It’s raining, but you can be bothered with
your umbrella. In times of reflection, you’ve found it soothing to walk beneath
the patter of water, symbolically cleansing your mind so you can think more
clearly. But the pounding of the drops and the claps of thunder only add to the
turmoil burning in your soul. It increases tenfold when you reach the substation
only to see your husband with his arms wrapped around a woman with pink hair
who, when she turns, you can see is pregnant.

A startled cry escapes your lips, but is drowned in the
sound of the downpour. You whole body is shaking, not from cold but from anger
and sadness; how could he be so blatant about his betrayal, standing in front
of the very place where all your friends reside because everyone knows a cop’s
life, and that of his wife, is so centered around their job there is no getting
away from it.

In a blind fury, you race away into the night, stumbling on
the slick ground where you cut up your knees pretty badly but you don’t feel
it, not with the rush of adrenaline coursing through your veins. You don’t know
how long you run, but it feels like forever. By the time you stop, you’re
somewhere you don’t recognize and realize with horror that when you fell you’d
dropped your purse which held your cell phone.

Crouching under a stairwell, body trembling from the cold, you
settle your head against your knees and cry until your eyes hold no more
tears. Time passes by slowly and you know you should get up and go home but you
simply don’t have the energy to try, don’t have the guts to face Daiki and what
he’s done. Was that why they were at the station? To show off what you struggled
to give him? Doesn’t he understand how much you love him? How much you were
willing to give up for him?

Drifting in and out of sleepy consciousness, your head
settles against the bricks behind you. Eventually, you fall prey to the lull of
sleep, body soaked to the bone and just not caring what happens to you anymore.

Warmth surrounds you and you wonder if you’ve left the
earthly plane for another. As you rouse, trying to open your eyes, you hear a
voice calling your name. It’s gravelly, laced with what seems to be pain and
worry but it can’t be who you think it is because he never shows those
emotions, never allows himself to appear weak in front of anyone, including
you.

But when you open your eyes, it’s to find Daiki leaning over
you, his hand holding one of yours while his other strokes the top of your
head. When you reach a full state of consciousness, you see his brow furrow and
there’s your Daiki.

“________, what the hell were you thinking? Do you know how
worried I was?”

“Officer Aomine, please-“begins the doctor but there’s no
stopping your husband once he gets going.

“I thought you were dead! And you could have been, you know,
with where they found you! Thank god Izuki has that damn eagle like vision
otherwise there’s no telling how long it could have been before you were found!”

Struggling to find your voice, you finally croak out, “What
do you care? You’ve got someone else now anyway.”

His body goes completely still, face the picture of shocked incredulity.
“What did you just say?” he says darkly.

You cough, taking a sip of water to coat your dry throat
before asking, “Why…why didn’t you tell me, you were so unhappy? Why did you have
to betray me like that?”

Aomine’s anger melts away to full blown confusion. He takes
your hand, squeezing it so you can’t let go and bores his gaze into your eyes. “I
have no fucking idea what you’re talking about, so either you’re delirious from
your fever or someone has been filling your head with absolute bullshit!”

“I saw you with her, Daiki!” you shout suddenly and the
whole room stills in the wake of your revelation.

Aomine wracks his brain, trying desperately to make sense of
what you’re saying. Then, as comprehension dawns, he starts to chuckle. Then he’s
doubled over in laughter, eyes watering. Your hands clench in tight fists and you
wish you had the strength to slug him a good one.

He works to compose himself quickly, wiping his eyes before
looking back into yours. Cupping your face with his large hands, the feel of
him hot against your skin, he says, “The “her” you’re referring to is one of my
oldest friends, Satsuki Kuroko.”

“Your…friend?” you ask weakly.

He nods, kissing your forehead and murmuring against your
skin, “Yes, my precious idiot. She and I grew up together, went to high school
together. We parted ways in college and she ended up going to the same school
as my best friend, Tetsu. They got married about a year ago and are having a
kid.”

“Well, if that’s true, where was he?” you counter.

“She’s here on business, decided to drop by and surprise me
because she always knows everything about everyone.”

“Why wasn’t she at our wedding if she’s such a good friend?”

“When I told her the date of it, she let me know she couldn’t
make it,” he supplies.

“Daiki, why didn’t you ever tell me about her?”

He shrugs. “I don’t talk about my past because I’m not that
proud of it. We moved on and grew up and have our own lives. But that doesn’t
mean we forgot about each other.” He kisses your lips, seeming to breathe life
back into your soul. “I wasn’t hiding her, she’s just…more of memory now.”

A choked sob pulls from your chest as you fling your arms
around Daiki’s neck. “I’m sorry! I’m so, so sorry that I didn’t trust you! That
I worried you over nothing, that I-“

He kisses you again, more hotly, more passionately and you
can’t stop a moan from coming up in your throat. As he pulls away, he nips your
bottom lip. “I’ll forgive you…after giving you a proper punishment when you’re
all better.”

Suddenly, you feel quite warm again, but know it has nothing
to do with your fever.

not a request, but i was just curious, what are your fav blogs? I need something newww >< Thanks!
