The first character I first fell in love with: Ichigo. Cliche, I know but there it is lol.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Renji / Byakuya. When they first showed up, of course I didn’t like them. But as Renji’s back story was revealed I fell more and more in love with him.
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I haven’t finished watching the anime so I know there are a BUNCH of characters I’ve only “met” through fanfic so my pool is a bit shallow to pull from on this one. Honestly, first instinct to answer for this is Rukia. I don’t hate her, I just don’t LOVE her like a significant amount of the fandom.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Orihime. She is one half of the fandom’s punching bag. She’s SO MUCH MORE than the anime made her and it pisses me off. But I won’t go into that.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Rukia. When I first started watching the anime I really loved her but as it went on I kind moved on. Again, NO HATE, just not my favorite.
The character I would totally smooch: Renji. Muscles, tattoos, heart of gold..sign me up.
The character I’d want to be like: Ishida. Resolute and brave but level headed. Loyal.
The character I’d slap: Aizen lol
A pairing that I love: IchiHime (first and foremost). Honestly, Orihime with just about anyone, she’s my multiple ship runner.
A pairing that I despise: IchiRuki. I don’t despite it necessarily but I don’t like it and I do not like how utterly rude and vitriolic most IchiRuki fans are. Not ALL but most.

The first one is thoughtless.
It’s one of gratitude, but Yachi’s fairly sure he’s still running on adrenaline from the game, elated to be rotated back onto the court and get to play again, so he doesn’t quite think about what he’s doing when he beams at her, handing her the water bottle she had offered to take, and pecks her cheek for barely a nanosecond.

When he was a little kid, his grandpa always snuck him a little birthday money to go have fun with, much to his father’s chagrin. To this day, Ikkei will still slip him a few hundred yen for old time’s sake (and mostly to spite his grandson, who keeps chastising him about it).
He low key dreads each passing year, because the inevitable “when are you getting married” conversations, even if his parents always wait until the next day. These conversations (almost) cease when he meets you.
Pretty laid back about his birthday. He doesn’t not tell people about it, exactly, but he doesn’t go out of his way to let people know either. He definitely tries to avoid telling the team about it, because he doesn’t want them to make a big deal–but Takeda-sensei isn’t having any of it. He makes sure the team knows, and helps them prepare a surprise.
He’s definitely a drinker, but not much of a party-er. He’d prefer a nice izakaya over a loud club any day. He likes to actually be able to hear your voice.
He’d also rather celebrate with just you and a few friends, rather than a large group. If you throw a party for him, make it a small one. Just close friends, and plenty to eat and drink.
Let. Him. Eat. He is huge on the food aspect of his birthday. Nothing fancy or anything–no expensive sushi or ridiculous, overpriced French restaurants. He likes simple things in quiet, simple restaurants. Or, even better, make him dinner. He’ll just die a little bit, he’s so happy.
Honestly, he’s not really a present guy. Get him a really nice bottle of something that he can crack open for a special occasion (or… now’s fine too) and take a drive up the coast with him, and he’s a happy camper.

He loves it when you ride him. He’s definitely doing his part to make you feel good, but he loves the view when you’re riding him.
He doesn’t have favorite parts. He likes all of you. His biggest weakness, though, is curves. He loves a pair of big soft breasts or a thick, juicy ass to grab a hold of. He likes his partners on the chubby, curvy, soft side, and he’s not shy about his admiration.

Oh boy my precious volleyball baes! I still
cannot believe the level of obsession I fell into with this show. Fun fact, I
only started watching it because I heard some of the music on an anime play
list. It was so amazing that I had to find out what it was from. Then when I
did I laughed because – really, an anime
about high school volleyball!! – And thus began my love for it and other
sports anime. Hehe. PS all of these will be SUPER hard to answer because I have
too many favorites and I’ve watched through the anime probably four times but I
will try to be accurate lol.
The first
character I first fell in love with: Fell
in love with…probably Asahi. Once he showed up and we learned his back story I
was all for the glass hearted ace.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: This is a toss up between Oikawa and Tsukishima. Both of
them are such BRATS but when I watched season 3 I was cheering my head off for
Tsukki (of course, who wasn’t) and was so
damn proud of him I think I might have cried. With Oikawa, it was during my
second watch through (and a few reader insert fics under my belt that I read)
that really got me paying more attention to him as more than just the “villain”.
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Ooooo…tough one. I haven’t read the manga so I’m
limited somewhat and honestly, I can’t think of any from the anime that I see
getting TONS of love that I don’t like.
The character I love that everyone else hates: The only one that comes to mind is Yui and it’s usually
because of ship fanatics but I tend to avoid the drama in the tags and so haven’t
actually come across hate. I just know about it on the fringe.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: I legit still love pretty much all of them. I
know that seems like an avoidance but I really do like/love them all.
The character I would totally smooch: Daichi, his voice is…just damn
The character I’d want to be like: Tanaka. Sure he’s a bit brash but his confidence, strength
and abilities are to be admired. He is actually a really amazing senpai.
The character I’d slap: on the back…all of them LOL
A pairing that I love: It’s been shown in my reblogs that I’m a
Yachi with…pretty much anyone fan but the biggest are her and any of the first
years of Karasuno (they all work with her somehow, help) or Kuroo or Bokuto
because SIZE DIFFERENCE MY HEART CAN’T TAKE HOW CUTE!!!
A pairing that I despise: Despise is too harsh a word but in general I do
not ship the boys with each other. It’s just never something I’ve seen so it can
grate on my nerves when people insist certain pairings are canon…when they aren’t…at
all.

I’ve watched both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal
Alchemist: Brotherhood and enjoy both but Brotherhood is my prefer series. Also
another series with TOO MANY CHARACTERS TO LOVE!!!
The first
character I first fell in love with: Alphonse,
his earnest trust and belief in his brother, his desire to help and protect
others, his deep love for his friends and family.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: GREED!!!! Oh my gosh, especially when he takes
over Ling’s body (spoil alert?) and they have the whole dynamic in his head. I
just…his character is so much more
than you think when he firsts shows up and I freaking love it! Also, oddly
enough, Barry the Chopper?
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Honestly? Can’t think of any. I’m not active in
the fandom per se so I don’t know who this could possibly be. Unless there are
those who “love” Father? Then it’d be him because that bastard…ugh…that bastard…
The character I love that everyone else hates: Again, no points of reference….are there people
who hate Edward or Alphonse? lol
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: Bradley before I knew what he was. I thought
he was pretty cool and a good leader…heh… had me fooled too.
The character I would totally smooch: Havoc!!!! I just love that idiot! LOL
The character I’d want to be like: Winery!! Beautiful, smart, brave and a mechanic!
The character I’d slap: Any of the Homunculi except Greed LOL

Hitoka’s star is orange and sometimes, at the right angle, it looks like it has wings.
Some people have stars that burn cold but Hitoka’s burns so hot she avoids taking it out in the summer. Sometimes in the winter she takes it out just to feel it’s warmth seep through her bones but in the summer it stays tucked away wherever soul stars go when they aren’t out so that she doesn’t overheat and die. This is why she doesn’t make the connection between Hinata and her star for a long time after meeting him.
She meets Hinata at the beginning of the summer when the heat is just starting to get choking. She had already sat up all night with her star for the last time before fall a few weeks ago, admiring the way it thrummed with energy and seemed to want to fly away from her hands. When she meets Hinata her soul star isn’t even on her mind and she doesn’t realize why the warmth of his hand in hers as she pulls him through the street feels so familiar.
It isn’t until the fall when she’s practically aching with how much she misses her stars energy that Hinata holds her hand again. It’s just a light touch, a pull to move her out of the way, but she stares at her hand for a long time after he moves on. He’s distracted by volleyball and his own determination.
When she’s safe at home that night she pulls her star out of herself and watches it rotate in her hand, glowing orange and bursting to fly. It’s warm where it float in her hand and she feels complete. It feels exactly the same as when Hinata smiles at her.
For a while Hitoka isn’t sure what to do. Hinata is so focused on volleyball he probably doesn’t want a soulmate at all. It isn’t until after the spring tournament that she works up the bravery to bring it up.
“Hinata-kun?”
Hinata makes an interested noise to show that he’s listening but other than that he’s still focused on the worksheet in front of him. Kageyama is sleeping on his worksheet across the table. If it wasn’t for the fact that Hitoka has been looking for an opportunity to talk to Hinata she would have woken him up and insisted that he get back to studying already. The end of year exams were fast approaching after all.
“Do you every wonder about your soulmate?” she asks him.
“Oh, you mean this?”
Just like that Hinata is pulling his star out right in front of her and she aches. It’s golden and small and it has an understated shimmer instead of a shine but it’s undeniably beautiful. If Hitoka is right then she feels a little conceited for thinking that.
Hitoka’s star has never demanded to come out before but now she can feel it just under her skin, burning hot and insistent. She lets it out and it curls into her palm, orange and flying. For a second their stars are just there, both glowing in Hitoka’s living room, but then they’re reaching for each other and shining so brightly that they’re blinding. Hitoka feels breathless as she watches Hinata’s gold star, the one that represents her, gravitate towards her orange star. They’re spinning around each other, twin streaks of gold and orange lighting up Hitoka’s vision, and then it’s over.
Hitoka and Hinata are both breathing hard, each holding on to an identical small pair of stars that spin together in a lazy slow dance, one gold and the other orange.
“You’re my soulmate?” Hinata wonders aloud, that lovely smile on his face. Hitoka’s heartbeat picks up and the spinning stars in Hinata’s hand speed up with it.
She blushes and she notices that the stars in her hand are speeding up their spin. Hinata is staring at her blush with a look of wonder on his face.
“That’s so gwaaah.” Hinata says with excitement, leaning towards her.

It warms my heart to know my work is something people look forward to.
I’m trying to get back into a place where my head space is clearer and my words flow more easily. I think I have a tendency to over think things some times which while providing accurate and clear content can get daunting and tiring.

But seriously, this is another thing I’m so grateful to hear because, as mentioned before, I’ve been struggling hardcore with my writing these days. It doesn’t flow the way it used to for me and it’s frustrating and makes me doubt myself about whatever I do manage to put out.
I’m grinning so wide like you have no idea! Maybe the above is why it takes me so damn long to finish pieces but I guess in the long run it’s a good thing because if this is how people feel about them, then that make me happy.
Thank you so much, seriously. This was so much what I needed to hear because for so many months I’ve felt like words are stuck in a sludge in my brain and it’s so damn hard to get them out in a way that feels coherent or clear.
I’m always thrilled when readers feel I’ve gotten characters’ tones and voices correct because it’s important to me. Sure, it’s fun to play around with options and just be silly or out there, but overall I want the characters to sound like the people they were literally created to be and so knowing I accomplish that is so gratifying.
