Tanaka: I loved him before I even saw his face, okay? All it took was that first “IT TURNS ME ON WHEN SHE IGNORES ME” and I was like yep, okay, there’s my fave. And he only gets better as time goes on. He looks tough but he’s the biggest cinnamon roll, and such a good senpai. He works so hard and is so supportive of his teammates. He really is the mental MVP of Karasuno, and he deserves all the love, okay?
Oikawa: I knew from the get go that I had really strong feelings about Oikawa. I just couldn’t decide if those feelings were love or hate. I mean, let’s be honest, he can be a bit of a butthole sometimes. Or maybe a lot of times. It wasn’t until I reached the end of season 2 and his ‘worthless pride’ speech to Ushijima that I knew for sure I loved him. His arc is so heartbreaking and relatable, and the end of that second match against Seijoh gets me every time. He’s also a massive dork, despite how much he tries to act cool. I just want to hug him and tell him he’s enough, because he’s too hard on himself :’)
Tendou: I have no fucking clue, y’all. Tendou wigged me right out when I started season 3. He was just unsettling. And then at some point, a switch flipped and now I absolutely adore him and think he’s precious. I don’t remember how that transition happened at all. I didn’t love him, and then… I just did. At any rate, he’s here to stay now. He may like to act provocative and scary, but Tendou is honestly so good. His interactions with all his teammates are adorable, and the flashbacks to baby Tendou give me so many feelings. I’m extremely protective of him now.
Admin Ellie
Suga: I always thought Suga was pretty since the end of episode one. And then there was that part where him and Hinata were practicing in the school courtyard….I was a goner. His soft grey hair blowing in the wind like a Shoujo Manga Prince. The advice he gave to Hinata was super supportive and insightful. I used to have a senpai like that at one of my old jobs and I had a massive crush on her so Suga reminded me a little bit of her. Now I’m like his soccer mom and I yell everytime he doesn’t get any playtime. LET HIM PLAY MORE!
Iwaizumi: It was actually Admin Emma that helped me realize my love for Hajime! Like most people I completely overlooked him for Oikawa, but I think it was during the Dateko game that I fell in love with him. He just looked so cool and the blue jersey really brings out his eyes. But I also like his tough love attitude. Sometimes you just need that friend that’s honest because they care. And he would make a good husband.

Bokuto: He doesn’t love tofu, but he’s still a good husband. I have a huge voice crush on Kimura Ryohei so I was super excited when I found out he was playing Bokuto. He did not disappoint! Honestly he’s so funny and adorable and every scene with him is a delight. He reminds me of Andy Dwyer from Parks and Rec. Just a big lovable goofball who tries his best everyday and loves his friends. Husband or not, he would be a great guy to just chill with. And every once in awhile, I’ll run into fanart where the artist drew him with his hair down and I’m like f u c k. Now to shamelessly plug the fic I wrote for him over at my other writing blog.
Admin Emma
Asahi: From the very first moment he appeared on screen… just… look at that face! The second this giant nannerpuss showed his stupid, beautiful face I was hooked, but then the actual Ace Revival arc took place and I was just… infatuated. I knew he was perfect and that you couldn’t change my mind. I love him because he has had such a good arc (and if they ever get around to animating some of the current chapters holy shit) and he’s just this big, soft boy with a big heart and a competitive streak a mile wide. Seriously, I could write a doctoral dissertation on my love of Asahi, don’t test me.
Daichi: Honestly, this is gonna sound weird, but I always thought Daichi was cute but he didn’t get elevated to Husband status until Dead-chi in the Wakunan match. IDK why (maybe it’s because I’m a slut for Hurt/Comfort) but after that on my second rewatch (third?) I began to realize how perfect he was. And now I have a big old monster crush on Crow Dad. I love him because he’s just this middle-aged salary man trapped in a 17-year-old’s body… but then he reminds us all that he in fact a 17-year-old boy when he loves big boobs and is the second biggest eater in the cast. Plus like… have you seen him? He hot.
Ushijima: I have no fucking clue how this happened? But it happened before Season 3, I know that for sure. One day, I was totally ambivalent on this character, the next, I love him. I think it might have been one of my own AUs, to be honest. But that love has sustained itself, because this boy is so beautiful, so driven, so sweet… and then to top it all off, he’s fucking hilarious? Like, he reads the ads in manga and he doesn’t watch TV but will listen to Tendou talk about it all day, and he was such a cute little kiddo. Also, he fascinates me as a character, and he’s super fun to write. Also also, I have a massive crush on Ryouta Takeuchi (his voice actor). To be honest, Ushi is kind of off brand for me, but I just… love him so much. I want to protect the cow man.
