I pulled a prompt starter, hope you don’t mind: “You can’t keep pretending it didn’t happen, cause guess what? It did!” Whatever you want with that with Kagami please! Thank you!

I love prompt starters!  Enjoy~  I went a predictable route lol

Kagami Taiga

You weren’t
sure what you expected to happen in the aftermath.  Maybe for everything to work itself out.  Maybe for the man you loved to realize how
you felt about him.  Maybe for you not to
be sitting home alone on a Friday night just like you’d been doing for months
and months.

Maybe for said
man to realize you didn’t sleep with just anyone and that it was special.

But
apparently it wasn’t special, not to him, because since that night, you’d seen
him three times and every time he treated you exactly like he did before: just
like he treated all his friends, with laughing comradery that was completely
devoid of any romantic attachment.  He
said nothing of that night, didn’t even acknowledge it happening.

Okay, so
you’d both been a little bit drunk, but not enough to forget.  You should have realized
something was wrong when you woke up alone in bed, the only trace of him being
there was a faint warmth on the pillow and the toilet seat in your bathroom
being up.  He wasn’t the type to just run
away – he usually met things head on, like the tiger he was named after.  But there was no doubt in your mind that this
time he’s sprinted as fast as his legs could carry him.

Well, you’d
given him the chance to come to you on his own terms, and he’d failed you
miserably.  You weren’t sure what his
problem was, but you didn’t think it wasn’t because he didn’t have feelings for
you.  You remembered the words whimpered
in your ear that night, which made his attitude following that much worse.

Temper
fraying as hurt expanded, you cornered him in the hallway that led to the
bathrooms at the bar you were at with the bigger group.  He wasn’t escaping or avoiding this time, you
refused.   “Kagami.” You stated, forcing his back
against the wall and narrowing her eyes.
“We have to talk.

His heavy
brow furrowed and he looked distinctly uncomfortable.  “A-And we have do that here?”

“Yes, here,
because if you had your way, we wouldn’t talk at all.”  You snapped, furious.  “You can’t keep pretending it didn’t happen,
cause guess what? It did!”  When he
opened his mouth, you just knew something that would make you even angrier was
going to come out, so you cut him off.
“Lord help you, Kagami Taiga, if you as what it is.”

Everything
about him deflated and he looked so profoundly uncomfortable that it made your
insides clench.  Could it be
possible?  Had you misread him so
badly?  You thought your feelings were
shared, but maybe he’d just said those things in the heat of the moment.  Maybe he hadn’t meant any of them.

“What’s
there to talk about?” He muttered, unable to look at you.  “It happened… I thought we were just not going
to mention it… ever.”

It was kind
of like being stabbed in the heart, hearing those words fall from his
lips.  You reminded yourself to breathe,
that crying wasn’t a rational response to this.
“And… why would you think that?”

His face
twisted even more, but you thought you saw something very akin to despair move
through his eyes, like it was painful to speak.
“Cause… isn’t that what people do when they get drunk and sleep with
their friend?”  He swallowed
heavily.  “To stay friends… you pretend
it didn’t happen?”

You took a
deep breath.  “And that’s… what you
want?  How you feel?  You want to forget
about it?”

Kagami’s
mouth open and closed like a gaping fish.
His eyes shifted to and fro like he was afraid to meet your gaze though
you didn’t know why.  For someone who
wanted to forget it ever happened, he wasn’t doing a good job of convincing you
that was how he felt.  He sounded
hesitant to you.  He was not a man that
was good at hiding what he felt.

“I… don’t
know…” Kagami stammered, going red in the face.

That’s when
it hit you – he wasn’t a man that was good at hiding what he felt, but he was
also not a man that was particularly good with words.  You were going to have to be the one that
reached out, because he was probably afraid.
It was weird to think about, because Kagami Taiga wasn’t exactly known
for fear, but he was kind of shy
right?

Deciding
that words weren’t going to change anything or make him understand, you decided
actions would mean more to him.  They always did.  Grabbing him by the front of the shirt, you
yanked him down to your level and took over his lips with yours.  You were merciless in your kiss, not giving
him a moment to breath or even react before you made it more solid.  You slowed down after that, giving him a
chance to escape if that’s what he wanted, just brushing the tip of your tongue
along the bottom of his lip to give him an idea of what you wanted.

He seemed to
flounder for a few seconds, just long enough to give you second thoughts.  Just as you were thinking about pulling away
and going to drown yourself, he reacted with the force of a hurricane.  He dragged you against him completely and
took control of the kiss, clutching you for dear life.  He deepened the kiss of his own accord,
dueling you, though truthfully, you didn’t put up much of a fight.  You were just left hanging on.

“Damn it,”
he swore, tearing his lips from yours.
His arms were so tight around you that there was barely room to
breathe.  “Of course I don’t fucking mean
it.”

Your cheek
touched his chest and you could hear how fast his heart was beating.  “T-Taiga-”

“I love
you!” He whispered fiercely.  “I’ve
always…. Always loved you.  I thought you
didn’t… I’m sorry.  I’m an idiot.”

Smiling, you
tipped your head back and squeezed him.
“That doesn’t matter now.  As long
as you keep kissing me and you take me home now.”

Kagami made
a sound like a dying man and kissed you once more, pushing you back.  “Gladly.”

Awwwww Taiga! This was great!! Thank you!!
