Kuroo – Sentence Prompt #78

ASK: Can i request 78. “Excuse me, do you need help getting that?” With Kuroo or Tsukki (you can pick!) with a tiny spitfire fem. s/o who’s determined to get things from tall places by herself? And he constantly finds her climbing things to reach stuff and he’s determined she’s trying to get hurt or something lol. Oh! And could you maybe end it all cute with like 94. “Stop putting the mugs on the top shelf.” As like a sassy comment back to said boy? Hope this makes sense! TYSM ❤️Happy March Madness!!

A muffled curse and the sound of banging brought Kuroo around the corner towards the kitchen. He stopped at the threshold, lips curling into his signature grin as he watched his petite girlfriend clamoring up the counter, short arm reaching and tiny fingers stretched taut in an attempt to gather something from the top shelf.

Sauntering up behind her, he cooed, “Excuse me, miss? Do you need help getting that?”

She huffed, “I can do it myself, thank you,” not bothering to turn around. Her finger grazed the edge of the coveted item – a mug he could see now – resulting in its being pushed farther from the edge. With a sigh, she worked her feet under her legs forgetting her sock clad feet. Putting pressure into rising, her foot slipped against the slick granite.

“Oh shi-” she cried but Kuroo’s arms wrapped around her waist holding her steady.

“Stop before you kill yourself,” he chastised, heart beating faster than he would admit at just the thought of what could have happened had he not been there. “I swear, it’s like you look for trouble,” he teased, simultaneously setting her to the floor as he grasped the mug handle.

“I wouldn’t if you’d stop putting the mugs on the top shelf!” she snapped, reaching for the cup but he held it aloft, smirk returning to his face.

“Gotta tip your waiter,” he grinned, leaning down and tapping his cheek with the index finger of his other hand.

Instead she tickled his sides resulting in him dropping the mug but she was ready, easily catching it before turning to the coffee maker.

“So rude,” he complained, procuring his own mug from the same high shelf but he couldn’t help grinning when she sighed as she enjoyed the fruits of his “labor”.
