Aomine Daiki: Double Trouble

Ask: Aomine scenario when he visits his parents during christmas with his wife and give them gifts, when his mom opens the gift, it’s a pair of tiny socks and a cute onesie. you know what I mean.. thanks 😉

I’m so sorry this is so, so, so late! I really hope you still enjoy it!

“Daiki! _______! It’s so good to see you!” Aomine’s mother hugs you tightly, then turns to her son smacking his chest. “Why did it take you so long to get out here?”

Aomine scowls though the look is less fearsome than usual. “It’s like I told you mom, I had training and _______’s work was being a bitch and-”

“Daiki! Language! Now, let’s get you inside and warmed up. It’s still so cold!”

Fluttering and twittering away, she leads the two of you into the house which smells of gingerbread and something stewed. You feel terrible that three holidays have passed without your presence to help celebrate but it’s as Daiki said and sometimes obligations just can’t be moved.

“Welcome home son,” his dad says extending a hand to shake after he pecks your cheek.

“Thanks pop,” Daiki sighs flopping onto the couch. As you sit next to him, he draws you closer, resting his chin on your shoulder. The overt affection is not lost on Aomine senior but before he can question it, Daiki’s mother re-enters the room with cups of hot coffee.

It smells heavenly and you savor the scent before setting down the cup.

“Aren’t you going to have a drink?” she asks.

“Oh, it’s…still a tad too hot,” you supply quickly.

Across from you, you see Daiki’s father quirk up an eyebrow, a sly smile beginning to play over his lips but he hides it behind his own sip of coffee.

“So, how have you been – other than busy?”

Your attention returns to Daiki’s mother whose taken up residence on your right side. “Um, Daiki got the promotion he was working towards,” you reply.

“That’s wonderful! So does that mean I’ll finally get those grandchildren I’ve been begging for?” she asks excitedly.

“Funny you should mention that-” Daiki mutters but your elbow in his stomach stops him from going on.

“What was that?” His mother never misses anything.

You go to stand but Daiki’s hand on your thigh stops you. “I’ll get it,” he says, standing to move to the foyer where you left your bags. When he returns he has a wrapped box which he hands to his mother. “Merry Christmas, Mom, sorry it’s so late.”

She smiles up at him, patting the couch and he sits before she tears open her present. Pulling away the tissue paper she squeals in delight at the sight of two sets of onesies and tiny socks. On her other side, you watch Daiki’s eyes widen before looking up at you.

His mother sees the expression gasping out, “Don’t tell me you didn’t tell him until now, too?”

You shake your head but as your lips part to answer Daiki’s already speaking. “She didn’t tell me there’s two.”
