Lev’s eyes get wide. “An inch of snow?!” He rushes inside, bundling up then hurries back to you, a large sled in his hands. “Let’s go sledding!” he exclaims, grabbing your hand and running into the drifts. He pulls you up a large hill, sitting down on the sled on the crest. Patting the space in front of him, he says, “Climb on!”
You nestle between his long legs, his arms wrapping around your waist and hands clenching the guide rope.
“Here we go!”
You rush down the hill, icy wind stinging your face but both your smiles are wide as you race over the snow, a warm glow in both your hearts.
