on the one hand this is a joke post because lol i have never made a good post in my life, but also, if i hadn’t made the connection
between this update and my sudden nosedive in activity, i would have been really fucking discouraged about all the shit i’ve been working on lately. i guarantee there are people on tumblr right now who haven’t made that connection, and who are trying to figure out why suddenly no one likes anything they’ve made. and that fucking sucks.
Yes. My notes, follower interaction, etc. has completely pumletted despite the fact I’ve gained almost 200 followers in the past month. Just take a look at my activity.
While it does have its ups and downs, I’m still at an all time low as of now, it’s insane. I used to be so excited to write, and now I feel pretty apathetic towards it since most of my followers likely won’t see it anyways. My work only gets 20-60 notes average which is WAY less than a majority of blogs on this website. So any of my followers with the “best stuff first” settings enabled will likely never see anything I post on their dash (and possibly unfollow due to my perceived “inactivity”).
So yeah. It basically is just a swift punch in the gut to any content creators who don’t have mass followings. It hinders growth and makes people completely uninspired to keep up their work.
I wondered if it was just me sucking (I mean I haven’t gotten new content out for a while but this makes sense as to why my Bad Boy AU got way more notes than my Supernatural AU)
