In response for your ask for our head cannons: I actually think if somehow they met up Aone and Asahi would become really close friends. Both males deal with people assuming things about them after one look and it could be a gaint connecting block. Like Asahi calls up Aone, “Yea some girl thought I was a parent again…” And Aone just grumbles. When asked to repeat himself, he angrily admits, “yea well I was asked what gang I was in again sooo…” And I think it’d be beautiful.

A beautiful friendship indeed! And when they did have their chance meet up they have nothing but respect for each other considering the games they played against each other. They 100 percent deserve to rant about those things so someone who understands what they deal with on a daily basis.

Oh! You think they have weekends where they go to each other’s houses to cook and complain before falling asleep together on the couch watching movies???

They definitely have days where they just get together.

[Scenario below]

Asahi stood outside the door frame, nervously ignoring the
looks from the three children staring at him from behind the staircase.

Expressions showing, they were too frightened by him to step
around and go back up the stairs to their own apartment.

He hated this fact about his looks.

Heck, that’s why he was here. To complain about the shitty
ass week he had.

Finally, the door sung open. Asahi making his way through
before anything could be said, or rather not said as his friend would have just
waved him in anyway.

“In a hurry?” The stoic looking white-haired male asked.

Asahi just gave him a shut-up
look before sighing. Closing his eyes as he ran his hands over them, the
long-haired boy explained. “Some of the buildings’ kids were too scared of me
to go up to their home.”

Aone just nodded his head in understanding. After heading
back into the kitchen, he popped open the fridge, “Drink?”

Asahi replied in the negative as he joined his buddy in the
other room.

The two had met outside of the volleyball world one late Saturday
afternoon. When on the hunt for a part-time job Asahi ran into a grocery store.
Just barely missing the down pour of rain that decided to release itself.

He whipped his head
around at the sudden screaming coming from behind and below him.

Dropping to his knees
he tried to sooth the child, but whatever he did seemed to make it worse.

Soon an over
protective mother-ish figure came in and started berating him for his ‘pink
attitude’ and ‘making [her] sweet angel cry’.

The commotion caused a
scene and then there was someone walking over in the store’s apron.

Looking up Asahi
immediately recognized the player that had once been a party of Date’s iron
wall.

“Something wrong?” His
simple question, combined with the blank expression on his face sent the child
into another wave of tantrums. The mother had been completely fed up at that
point and stomped out of the store, despite the rain.

Throwing back over her
shoulder, “I’d rather face this horrid weather then a couple of gang members
the likes of you! I’m never shopping here again.”

Aone just shrugged at
the lady’s comment, and sent his hand out to help Asahi stand. “Karasuno’s Ace.”
He said more than questioned.

Nervously Asahi had
scratched the back of his neck before responding that he had been during high
school.

After that, the two had quickly become close. Aone had lost
his job on the spot, apparently it wasn’t the first time his looks had scared
away a customer and the owner was fed up. They had walked together to find a
place to grab some grub, and after talking to each other about the what had
been their volleyball careers since Karasuno beat Date Tech, they moved to
complaining about other instances like the one that brought them together.

And Asahi felt like someone finally understood him.

It was great.

Now, months later, he was at Aone’s apartment. Ready to
spend the night; complaining about his problems, listening to his friend’s own
disturbances, making a bunch of food they’d both regret gorging on later,
watching cheesy funny stupid movies to lighten the mood until they fell asleep,
just to get up in the morning and go to their practice.

The group going around Japan and playing against other high
school graduates who just couldn’t let go of the sport they loved. Man did
Asahi enjoy having that nightmarish block on his side for once.

It didn’t hurt that Suga and Daichi had decided to join
their small team. It always felt good to have his old friends back together.

But no feeling could surpass that of when Asahi dug into one
of Aone’s meals after a good talk. The feeling of laughing away his worries alongside
the comfort of someone who understood. No longer feeling as though they were
alone in feeling out of place just because of how society perceived their
looks.

Except maybe the warmth he always felt from his friend as
they fell asleep together in the middle of one of the comedies. Too exhausted
and comfortable with one another to care about leaving the couch, or even turn
off the film.

Gahhhh!!! This is so sweet!!
