I can relate to Oikawa so much.

The immaturity (for me personally) is just part of a front to make him look like he’s okay, like a mask of confidence. He has to work extra hard because he isn’t a genius–I feel the same way. I envy geniuses. I pretend to be confident in what I’m doing while in truth I’m frustrated over the fact that I’m not as good as those who are naturally talented despite the many times I put in trying to master my craft

Thank you for sharing, that is a very good point. I think I had a similar consideration but forgot to include it but I’m glad to hear from others on why they relate to certain characters. I think to some degree we all envy those who seemingly have things handed to them, it’s part of human nature and that’s probably another reason why Oikawa is such a beloved character, people relate to that feeling, to that tendency.
