“Babe, it’s really no big deal,” Keishin tries but you won’t
hear it.
“Please, Keishin-kun, teach
me!”
He sighs, running his fingers through his hair, dropping the
cigarette from his mouth and stomping it out on the ground. “Fine,” he relents
and you squeal with joy.
Keishin moves to stand behind you, calling out, “Oi, Sawamura,
come here a sec!” The captain obediently makes his way to his coach, sending a
shy smile and wave to you.
Placing his hands on your hips, Keishin maneuvers you into
position, knees bent, arms out with fingers laced together making a platform.
His own arms and hands lay a top yours to help guide you. Lowly in your ear,
his breath against it almost making you shiver, he instructs, “Now, hold steady
like this, I’ll help you.” You nod.
You both look up to see Sawamura blushing slightly at your proximity
but it can’t be helped; you have no idea what you’re doing.
“Ok captain,” Keishin says, “send us a firm hit but not too
strong, she’s never done this before.”
Sawamura nods, tossing the ball in the air before hitting it
forward. It’s coming much faster than you anticipated making you want to run
but Keishin’s strong arms and body hold you in place. With his help the ball
smacks against your arms but because of your odd position it shirks sharply to
the right cannoning directly into Hinata’s face knocking him over.
As the two of you rush to inspect the damage done to the little
giant in the making Keishin says chuckling, “Maybe next time we’ll try without
innocent bystanders around.”
